The best restaurants in West Chesterton Cambridge East of England

Just had breakfast and wow it was bloody awful ask for it to be well done and it came out burnt and toast was rock hard I don't think I will be coming back it's a shame cause I travel from bury St Edmunds every week just to go to the Milton arms as it's a lovely place the staff are lovely

The Captain's Table is an Art Deco inspired cruising restaurant. Private functions, afternoon tea and champagne cruises. We also have the Captain's Launch, a fully refurbished 1920s river cruiser. We attended as a large party for a birthday meal. First impressions were not great, the decor is just poor. Rawlplugs sticking out of bare plaster all over the walls, touch wall and it crumbles away, tables were sticky. Toilets weren't much better, metal cubicles which look rusty. i'm not sure if this is "designer" or "meant to be" but it honesty looks like nothings been done since the fire years ago. It looks like its been cleaned and furniture put back in! We ordered a salad and pizza and then asked for cheesy chips. Was told that they don't "do" cheesy chips. we would need to order the "Bacon LoaDed Curly FrieS, SOur CreAm, pickLed chillis & jaLapeños." Said ok great, take everything off but cheese and chips. Again told that wasn't something they could do.... Argued and said we would eat elsewhere and was then informed they would do this for us! Pizza arrived and was very greasy, looked like it had been topped off with grease. Chips arrived and were ok, not great but the cheese was parmesan, rather than cheddar so lots of weird lumps all overit. Salad arrived, one piece of chicken, two bits of butter nut squash and the rest leaves. you have to collect your own meal from the kitchen. The service was shocking, no consideration for allergies or eating disorders. The decoration is shocking, looks awful, unfinished and quite dirty. Staff not very helpful. Food greasy, lacking in any form of flavour and no consideration for allergies! All in, wouldn't go back and certainly wouldn't recommend.

I visited the Boat House on a Monday and was truly impressed! The service was outstanding, friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. Giancarlo runs the place exceptionally well, The drinks he made were perfect, and well-presented. It’s not always easy to find a spot that delivers both great service and quality drinks, but this pub nails it. I’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend.

Desafortunadamente, excepto por la gente encantadora que trabaja allí y la ubicación conveniente para el parque científico, es un lugar realmente malo con algo de comida terrible. Tampoco muy barato. Desafortunadamente, el parque científico Cambridge es un lugar muy pobre sin casi instalaciones, por lo que incluso una mala cafetería estará ocupada a la hora del almuerzo. Muy triste... It is what it is. A hole in the wall in the second floor of the sports centre with tables in front. But offers good views to the sports hall and the swimming pool. Food and drinks as you would expect as well - machine coffee, pre-packed food. If your coffee cup is not quite full, it is topped off with hot water (!). Serving people lovely, though, and prices reasonable. But nobody would come here for the culinary experience….

Waited an hour and a half for order to be canceled as they were to busy. Ordered again an hour later to receive the original order that was stone cold. Will not order again....
