The Tivoli in Cambridge

Very few people there. Drinks not very cheap

I really liked the atmosphere of that place. I find the stuff very kind and helpful! I had an Estrella draft beer (£7) and a really delicious Margherita pizza (14£). The pizza was huge (9 big slices), and the price was very reasonable. You can easily split the pizza for two people. The music was very good and at around 20:30, they had live music! I definitely recommend this place 👌

Nice vibes and fun shuffleboard. Slightly pricy and the pizza, though nice and tasty to share btwn my two friends there, was a bit too salty I think. A nice evening though and the staff are very nice.

Atmospheric and fun venue. Lots of spaces. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The mini golf experience is way too short, my partner and I finished it in 15 mins which feels like a rip-off at £9.50 each.

I was not impressed overall with the crazy golf that. I messed up using the app so couldn't score properly. There was a hen do, and too many people were playing crazy golf. Empty glasses were left on all the tables by each whole.

I didn't order food this time - I went to play crazy golf. The left hand side one is way easier than the right hand side one.

First time at this pub and loved everything about it food was amazing the games of golf were fun and the staff were lovely and freindly especially one girl called fia i dont know how to spell her name but she went above and beyond for us such a lovely night and would definatly reccomend .

great place for all different types of occasions, good place for drinks, to watch the football and have a pint, and to play mini golf and shuffle board, friendly and welcoming staff, and dog friendly!!

Decent beer selection Sun terrace had nice views and can be enjoyed on sunny days. Shuffle board is really enjoyable and it's easy to spend an hour playing. There's two 9 hole mini golf courses, but it's probably not worth the price.

Lacking of staff members, the place was almost empty on a sunday afternoon. Food was OK but not great, served half hot half cold pulled pork she then just put the whole thing in the microwave. Pizza were oily and greasy and didn't feel great after

Lovely location overlooking the river, nice roof terrace with a good atmosphere, also had a shuffleboard on the roof. Staff very friendly and helpful. We also visited the first floor for the indoor crazy golf course. Did not eat here however the pizzas looked amazing, will definitely return to sample them. Would recommend booking golf and shuffleboard.

Visited the other day to play mini golf and pizza. Great game and food! Staff are a little curt but in the whole very positive experiance.

My wife had a work do on the top floor and I arrived for lunch. Great location and great food, enormous pizzas!!!

Booked for a friend's birthday as it includes food, drink and games (shuffle board and electric mini golf). Had low expectations of the food/drink combo but the burger and chips was really good and the range of drinks included was perfect for us.

Absolutely awful experience. We were so so disappointed with our experience here. We were booked in for a hen party - package with games, food and drinks. They unfortunately messed up our booking even though we had confirmation and they only reserved us tables. Instead of the staff holding their hands up that they had messed up and trying to rectify the situation they became rude and said they may not be able to accommodate our party. We done the golf, brought drinks and ordered food, but it left a real sour taste. There wasn't a great atmosphere, no sort of music or hustle and bustle so we decided to move on. Such a shame as it had been recommended and we were all looking forward to it.

Popped in for some crazy golf and had a drink or two on the roof terrace, which was glorious!

Couldn’t book for more that 8 people so we (a group of 4) were left tableless for a long time, especially as it was during the Euros. The food orders came out wrong and one of us (a vegetarian) received a beef burger. The atmosphere was nice however and the mini golf upstairs was quite fun.

Awesome place for fun with friends. I visited with a group of friends for mini golf and food. I’m GF and there were GF food options available so I was a happy bunny. Would 100% go back again.

This is a very non-Cambridge pub: it's not in a traditional Victorian house, it doesn't serve the same familiar GK/Adnams beers, it has floors with just games, and the food is not the standard GK pub menu. I really liked that uniqueness, and I guess the people who have given lower ratings didn't like it. The top floor has an extensive, gorgeous patio perfect for days with good weather, and the ground floor has a large dining area with a view of the river. The pizzas are enormous and filling, and the beers on offer are right for every taste, including a sort of "house beer" in the new Greenwich lager, which is reasonably priced, fresh, and very enjoyable. You have to pick up your food from the kitchen when it's done, so there's a bit of a DIY vibe to the place, but I thought it was extremely comfortable, and we're already planning to go back.

We had drinks and had a game of crazy golf. It was brilliant. It was very hot upstairs, but when I asked for the air-conditioning to be turned on, the staff were happy to help.

Fantastic afternoon out. Staff were really welcoming and friendly. Good selection of drinks and the pizzas amazing!! Great entertainment in the way of shuffleboard and golf, too.

Can be fun but... The drinks are expensive! (Go to any of the other 4 pubs within 4 minutes walk to find out the difference) The environment is noisy! (If you want a quiet place don't go here at the weekend) The staff can get overwhelmed at weekends but are great at other times. The golf is getting run down, such a shame as it was great. The pizzas are OK, but just across the road are amazing pizzas at another pub. No longer have steak and honour burgers which was a big draw for me, currently replaced with tacos which are - rubbish, sorry but they are really poor! Summary = if you want a better time go mid-week, expect a different experience at weekends.

### Horrendous Experience at Tivoli If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Visiting Tivoli was easily one of the worst experiences I've had at any entertainment venue. Here's a breakdown of the myriad issues that plagued our night: **1. Disgusting Cleanliness:** The bar was filthy. Tables were sticky, and there were spills and trash everywhere. The bathrooms were a nightmare — think of a gas station restroom on a busy highway, but worse. No one seemed to care about cleanliness or hygiene. **2. Incompetent Staff:** The staff were shockingly rude and inattentive. It took forever to get our drinks, and when they finally arrived, they were either the wrong order or poorly made. Getting their attention felt like pulling teeth. Their indifference and lack of basic customer service skills were astounding. **3. Overpriced and Undercooked Food:** The food was ridiculously overpriced for what it was. My burger was practically raw in the middle, and the fries were soggy and cold. We sent it back, only for the replacement to be just as bad. Clearly, the kitchen staff had no idea what they were doing. **4. Run-Down Mini Golf Course:** The mini golf course was an utter joke. The holes were unimaginative, the turf was torn and stained, and the props were either broken or outdated. It felt like playing in someone's neglected backyard. To top it off, the equipment was in terrible condition — our putters were bent and the balls were chipped. **5. Deafening Noise:** The noise level was unbearable. The music was blasting so loudly we couldn't hear each other speak, and the acoustics of the place made everything echo horribly. It was more like a chaotic nightclub than a fun mini golf bar. **6. Crowded and Uncomfortable:** Despite the poor quality, the place was overcrowded, making it impossible to enjoy the game. There was barely any space to move around, and we constantly had people bumping into us. It felt like they were packing people in just to make a quick buck, with no regard for comfort or safety. **7. Poor Value for Money:** For the exorbitant prices, you get nothing but frustration and disappointment. We left feeling completely ripped off and swore never to return. In summary, Tivoli is a total disaster. Save your time, money, and sanity by avoiding this place at all costs. There are plenty of other venues where you can enjoy a night out without enduring this level of misery.

We didn't eat but the food looked good. Great covered roof top area. Drinks are very expensive considering it's more of an entertainment spot. Short crazy golf course which was fun( perhaps put in some more?)

Pizza was outstanding! Facilities were brilliant and the staff friendly, would definitely visit again! Only small issue was not much soap/if any at all in the toilets - that part needs improving but other than that, 5 stars!

It was our first visit to refurbished Tivoli. Good atmosphere, mini golf ,shuffle ball games open rooftopbar. Great pizza we d say excellent atmosphere

Golf was good fun but no refund when 3 of our party (out of 10) couldn't make it. It wasn't busy so hadn't prevented anyone else who wanted to book. Drink expensive but no fault, however Terrace bar only had one guy essentially on his own so long waits for drinks. Food was OK but pricey for what it was. But long waits and erroneous notifications that it was ready - blamed on a "new system". Complete failure with one part of our order - took about 2 hours for Taco's.

I have a bone to pick. The mini golf said "this name is not allowed" for my name which happens to be Usama. Ended up using "USA" instead. Putting in 1 star just to bring this to attention of app devs. Liked everything else other wise.

Went late on a Monday evening for the golf only one other couple there. Little atmosphere, but could be better with more people there. Was reasonably priced though.

Went to do crazy golf, sadly there are only 2 sets of 10 holes, if they combined both of the courses everything would be a five star. The pizza in the restaurant below is definitely 5 stars and is probably the best pizza I've ever tasted. If they combined the crazy golf courses and had more waiters to make service faster I would say it's all 5 stars.

Nice pub. Really pleased it reopened and the atmosphere is more in line with when it was The Graduate rather than the original Tivoli. Variety of games and so on is good.

The pizzas were really nice, lots of variety there too. The shuffleboard was a lot of fun, shame I am terrible at it but that's another story. The roof terrace was good too, even though it was raining and the weather was generally miserable, the terrace is fully covered so it's a great place to cool off

Surprisingly, nice place. Plated shuffle board, had a couple if drinks on the balcony, enjoyed a great burger and watched the rugby. Really good.

Great for a works Xmas doo. Which is what made me come back for a meal with the family. Awful second time round. The pizzas I will say are really nice. And worth it from that perspective. A bit ‘doughy’ but still really yummy. If when ordering you have a fussy eater or allergies don’t use the app from the table as recommended by the manager! I asked about making amendments like having a burger with no cheese for my daughter and the manager advised me to put it in the amendments section on the order in the app. So I did this along with my second daughter who didn’t want pickle on her burger or sauce. Then both arrived as described on the menu. I spoke to one of the staff and explained I had asked for no cheese and put this in the app on the order. “Oh the kitchen don’t bother to read those. You need to tell them at the window” then she took the burger away because of the cheese only to return the same burger but with the cheese scraped off! So it’s still has traces of cheese 🤦🏻‍♂️ Like I said. If you have a serious allergy that could be life threatening or make you very poorly. I wouldn’t risk this place. They can’t seem to get a basic request right. I would have given one star if it wasn’t for the Pizza which was lovely thou and nobody died Oh and the desert menu is some cinnamon thing or another pizza but made from Nutella. And that’s it. Literally two things. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Experience was really good. My family really enjoyed the shuffle board and golf. Food and value were spot on. The only issue was there were hardly my staff. However those that were their were working very hard and generally friendly and helpful.

Really enjoyed ourselves, especially playing shuffleboard matty was really good at explaining the game and making our drinks will definitely be back

This is the first time we have visited this great place 👍👍 we booked a round of 9 hole golf ⛳ and this was really good fun , the neon lights all over make it different and it is definitely something my wife and I will come back to on our own as you can have a few drinks as you go round 😉 we then booked half hour down in the basement on the shuffle boards and this was a winner 👍 we all loved this and it was a great family sport 😉 it also helps that we are so competitive 🤣🤣 so if you fancy something different then this is a must 👍👊👍

Strong beer selection, just missing the local Cambridge BrewBoard 🍺 Quick to get beers at the bar. Friendly enough staff. Burger was also decent and cooked in good time.

Great place, went up to visit for the weekend and it was amazing! Pizzas are huge and mini golf is just fantastic! Definitely go here if you're visiting Cambridge.

Went for a girly catch up and golf :) Really nice, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Nice seating, comfy chairs and river views. Mini golf was fun, nothing spectacular. It got a bit loud downstairs for lunch, I would go again but avoid 2-5pm... But the pizzas looked amazing, served in square wooden open crates/boxes, looking so cheesy and delicious, and many options. The salad was actually very good too, ordered with all the dips :)

Staff were so friendly. I was glad that they have vegan options.

Poor food (steak and honour) and poor drinks We are long time steak and honour fans, and wanted to try out Tivoli. The food looked promising but was a real disappointment. The fries were nice and crispy but very salty. Burger was overcooked and dry - not the med rare we're used to. The bacon was rock hard and super salty. We told the waitress who just apologised but took no action. The cocktails were also poor. The bloody mary lacked oomph, and I believe no Worcestershire sauce was used. Tried the homemade mango and lime ice tea, which just tasted like mango rubicon. Very sweet and no tea or citrus flavours. Considering we spent over £60 for 2 burgers, fries and drinks, it was really not good enough.

We visit around lunch time on a Friday. It's a great place for games, food and drinks. Games are more recommended for adults and kids over 9yrs old. Pizza was a decent size x2ppl.

They make you pay for food before you get it. Our order took so long we had to leave. We cancelled our order and were told we would get a refund but we didn’t. I emailed them and they responded but still have not yet refunded it almost 2 months after!

we went there in new year’s eve, at night and we celebrated the new year in there. It was crowded and fun. We drank Aperol which is quite big and tasty, and Estrella pint which is standard. It is a wonderful roof in there and I believe it will be lovely in the summertime.

Been at the Tivoli almost a dozen times now. The atmosphere is wonderful, especially under the holidays! I'm a huge fan of their share-friendly pizza and the peach beer. Also a great place for going out with friends in summer, as the roof terrace offers a wonderful view of the Cam.

Great Pizza and good beer. Atmosphere is also nice. In one facility one can enjoy food, drinks, and have a fun time playing mini golf and other games. A roof top garden is great in summer to enjoy a cigar and beer!

Food was fine, but a bit salty, shuffle board area was nice, but it was impossible to play minigolf, and the staff was very unhelpful with telling us how we can register and how long we have to wait. We gave up at the end because it was so hot we couldn't wait any longer.

I found the Tivoli quite overpriced for what you get. Mini golf is expensive for only 9 holes, most other mini golf places are cheaper for 18 holes. Shuffle board was fun but only 30 mins for the price. When ordering I said ‘can I have a burger and fries please’, the waiter didn’t clarify it already comes with fries and the menu doesn’t either, so I was charged extra for a side of fries I didn’t need. Chicken burger not great either. Ok place to visit with friends but I’m not sure we’ll be visiting again as it’s not good value for money.

Great experience with booking a Christmas Party venue for my company. Ben was excellent and supportive. The whole event was enjoyed by everyone. will be coming back again next year.
