Only had coffee which was ok. We had to use a code for the bathroom which was dirty, not a nice experience

I liked the view 👍🏻 The coffee overlooks a beautiful university building. The coffee is excellent, but the croissant is okay.

Food and atmosphere is great but service is very poor. I have never seen such rude staff ever at Cafe Nero. I am not surprised with 3.9 rating as you have only because of cafe Nero good coffee and food else it will be 1 with current staff. Because of amazing location, this works well.

It's a pretty standard Caffè Nero. They have a couple of decent vegan options, including a raspberry croissant and a savoury pastry.

Coffee nice and great location with seating available outside but wifi signal is often really poor - keeps cutting out.

Very well placed for a coffee and croissant with a view to the university.

A good time to regain strength and charge your cell phone, which is very appreciated by having USB ports available.

The food and drinks are good as usual, but the service and the way of making coffee and packing food can really be improved.

Stopped with a friend and my dog so we sat outside which was nice in the busy thoroughfare. We had toasted sandwiches and coffee - all of which was good. Staff friendly. Remember to keep your receipt - the code for the toilet is at the bottom.

Caffe Nero is my place to go for a quick coffee fix on the way somewhere:) Their coffee is not something special or awesome but always of good and steady quality. It’s a well know chain so for me there is also a feeling of familiarity - I know what to expect and what to order. Very conveniently located. A bit too pricey, not especially cozy but overall nice.

Very good quality food and drinks. Coffee is a little bitter for my taste, but still better than other well known chains. Food is excellent, particularly the gianduja chocolates.

I had the pleasure of encountering a truly remarkable barista today, and I must say, he was not only cute and handsome but also incredibly skilled at his craft. It was evident that he took pride in his work, and his passion for creating a perfect cup of coffee was contagious. The care he put into every step of the process was reflected in the beautiful presentation and the delightful taste. In that moment, I truly felt like I was savoring a work of art. This charming barista's dedication and talent made my day, and I am grateful for the experience.

Ordered an oat flat white and an oat iced latte. The flat white didn't have the usual micro foam you would expect, and I don't think the barista knew how to make an iced latte.

What an utter dive. Dingy. Some of the tables are worse than stuff I see at the recycling centre. Served luke warm hot chocolate spilt all over the saucer, accompanied by an intensely irritating electronic whining noise.

Visited here a few times but today the barrista was very rude. I had already ordered and did not receive a receipt with the toilet code on it. When I came to the till to ask for the code. The barrista ignored me for 10 minutes then when I caught her eye I asked politely for the code. She then said in a very rude way. 'Are you a customer?' I'm 6 months pregnant and her behaviour made me feel very uncomfortable. This has really put me off visiting the cafe. Would be helpful if they actually gave you the receipts with the codes on them!

A caffe with lovely view just in front of the King´s College Chapel. I had a tasty chai latte (spicy, sweet, gave me all the energy I needed) and my hubby had a small and strong espresso, both to our liking. We managed to sit outide which is priceless because of the view. Prices are quite high but given the location, I can understand that.

Great service regardless of how busy it gets on King's parade.

Place is beautiful and really in nice spot, but only 2 starts for poor service. Barista didn't listen the order. Made a several mistake and argued that he was told something else. In the end the drink which I've order to seat in was served in take away cup and half empty and the other would be a total different drink if Barista wouldn't be corrected while preparing drink. Disappointed to pay 4£ for each drink and got it all wrong. When my friend came back with his half empty cup to get it right the staff seemed to be annoyed. Sad that half od team is trying their best and it's spoiled for other half.

Having to get a code to use the toilet is ridiculous! This is not the way to control public using toilets for free...it just annoys the customers who have in effect paid to use them. Also FULL of single students on laptops taking up a whole table. Odd venue!

Dreadful, appalling treatment by young man with glasses who clearly has an oversized EGO, a persona quite disconcerting!.Extremely rude to me & gross slander of my name gossiping between staff and discriminating. There are members of this establishment or to be more realistic ‘maffia’, twined themselves who are always too eager to illegally ban customers for no wrong doing!. Nero needs to pull it’s socks up and train the staff, where are good old people skills?, where is respect gone for the customer, really shameful behaviour, begs the question whether these individuals actually like the job?. My case raised years ago got swept under the carpet!!!. Covering each others backs in the place of ‘truth’, and self grooming individuals who are bereft of any sense of honour!.

Visiting Cambridge to see family (Sunday am 7/11/2021). We popped in for a coffee and we were met by the server, a young man wearing glasses. He was incredibly rude and discourteous and appeared to have no social skills whatsoever. He spoke to my elderly mother in an extremely condescending manner. Fortunately, this was the only rude person we met in Cambridge.

Extremely busy cafe. Staff are super polite efficient and helpful.even when under a lot of pressure. I had cappuccino and toasted tea cake perfect . Highly recommended.

I usually like Cafe Nero however the flat white I had hear today was basically terrible, undrinkable. Add to this slow service and I can't recommended.

Nero is my favourite caffe in Cambridge. A great selection of coffees, cakes, and viennoiserie, and to top it all: a nice view on Kings college.

I just came with my best friend to grab a coffee and cake for he’s birthday. We were sat outside enjoying an amazing view. I have asked girl who was serving me if they have a birthday candle for the cake, but unfortunately they didn’t. We were enjoying our coffe outside and the girl with her friend who made our coffee came outside with complimentary cake and “happy birthday” written on the plate !! That was such a great suprise ! My friend was really happy. Such a charming couple, amazing service! Will definitely come back!

The toilet seat is a joke I did let the place know that it was unhygienic and dangerous and they replied that the seat had to be blue for visually impaired customers and that is the only blue seat on the market REALLY I pointed out it could cause an accident and they replied they would let the area manager know What was the manager doing letting this continue and do they really have so little power that they can’t order a new seat I have informed Cambridge environmental health I share a photo of it

Went for tea break at Caffe Nero opposite King’s Parade at Cambridge University. Service, coffee and muffins were good. Nice place to people watch along Kings Parade Street.

Best coffee shop in Cambridge! The staff know how to make my coffee of choice, a dry cappuccino, which is not always the case with other chains. They are friendly and attentive, and work very hard, as it can get very busy, which is another indication it is good. The view of Kings College Chapel is outstanding, the atmosphere is relaxing. The Pastries are excellent too. If your visiting Cambridge for the first time or a local, I would recommend this Nero’s without hesitation.

Staff are always lovely, coffee is good for a chain but food is often slightly stale

So apparently anyone working for NHS, police or fire brigade and use a bluelight card is stingy and have far too many discounts according to Cafe Nero staff!!
