Awful food, bit of a run-down vibe.

The steak and ale pie is TO DIE FOR!!! The best gravy I've had in my life, and the huge meal is only £11! Staff was busy but still very friendly and polite. Definitely coming back for their steak pie again in the future.

Food quality has dropped sadly. Was never amazing but fairly decent pub grub. Seems to have dropped off since I was last there. Staff where friendly and service was quick.

My favourite local pub without a doubt! Nice, relaxed atmosphere, cheap great food (with a new menu every couple of months) and the nicest staff. Alphanso is always sweet.

Took my in laws here today. My mother in law does not eat lots and is often very fussy but the meal was perfect size and she ate all of it which is a rarity. I had steak as I often do when I eat out. Most places very seldom get my steak perfect but the chef there (Carl) made it to perfection. My husband and my father in law loved their food also. My mother in law was very comfortable in her wheel chair and had an enjoyable time. My mother in law is not easily pleased so this was a real treat. We will be back. And hopefully the same chef will be there.

Went down for grill Monday had a great time, food was great mixed grill and a beer, served by Ray polite, and friendly good banger, drinks by Courtney speedy service would recommend 5 stars

Had a great meal here on tuesday 6th May 2025. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The landlord( Chris ) was excellent in recommending what to eat and drink, even taking time out to come and check everything was OK with us. Would definitely recommend this pub/ bar.

Amazing, just absolutely fabulous food here. Me and my group of 6 came here on an impulsive busy Friday and they served us absolutely well! I personally asked to speak to the chef - Who told me his name was Carl, and I asked if the vegetarian food was prepared near meat dishes and he told me that all the dishes are confirmed to be suitable for vegetarian from the suppliers and that the food is stored and prepared in a kitchen where meat is also handled however he assured me that my vegetarian food would not come into contact with any meat and is prepared away from anything else which eased my mind. The chef was well presented and clearly knew his stuff and I had the chickpea and sweet potato curry which was absolutely delicious! One of my colleagues' steak was a little bit grisly but overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our food! And certainly come back again! Staff was very friendly and helpful and despite it being already rather busy, food came very quickly and for its quality, I think if was very reasonably priced!!! I am looking forward to coming back!

Excellent visit yesterday with my family! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Chris was helpful and a pleasure to be served by. Jane was outstanding – she went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience, especially with the children. A vast improvement in service! We'll definitely be back thanks to the amazing staff, food, and overall experience.

Seen by Lee and Jane, lovely ladies, and had a delicious meal to celebrate a birthday. Truly scrumptious desserts and tender chicken.

A great place to relax. Inexpensive prices and very friendly staff in the face of Chris and Ray. The prices will pleasantly surprise you. We paid just £30 for a huge, delicious dinner for two and two beers.

Popped here for a quick cheap lunch. Disappointed the park was gone for my little one. However, We were served by Lee, she was very friendly, funny, helpful and warm she’s a great asset to the pub.

Absolutely Awful, Bun was burnt on 4 of the 5 meals and the one that wasn't was toasted at all. Burger was burnt, Chicken Burgers was dry and chips were cold, just visiting the area but will never return to this pub for food. Would of sent back but kitchen closed

Have been using the Milton Arms for years.(20 0Z Steak days). What a let down it’s been on the last 2 visits. So had the half roast chicken sizzler Dish. No sizzle just peppers and onions soaked in oil. Chicken dry more bone than chicken. No point complaining Just made our minds up goodbye Milton Arms we are done. You’re been slowly going down hill for a while but this time enough is enough.

Fui al Milton Arms con mi esposo esta hora del almuerzo. Tuvo el desayuno inglés completo y lo disfrutó mucho. Quería los filetes de lubina, ya que suelen ser magníficos. Se habían agotado, como lo habían hecho, tenían el doble de la cantidad habitual de clientes que los pedían esta semana. Me pregunto si es porque he dado una reseña brillante sobre ellos. De todas formas, yo tenía el filete de carne 'Mix it Up' y el filete estaba muy bien cocinado, medio a raro, tal como había pedido. Gran Atmósfera y Preciosa Comida.

Very poor choice of ales. Well none actually. Food was okay I had the sizzler and should have had a bed of peppers and onions, more like couple of bits of pepper and a few onions. Very disappointed.

Came in on Monday evening for dinner. What a change. Pleasant new management team. Didn’t have to wait long for food and when it did come out it was hot and tasty!

Stopped by for food on my way back from shopping. Plenty of places to sit and the outside space was lovely in this glorious sunshine. All staff were friendly and the food was lovely.

Upon arrival the staff were very nice, directing us where to go and the options we had on how to order. We went to the bar to order some drinks first and was served by Jade and Lee, who had extremely amazing customer service, engaging in friendly chat and just overall heightening the experience. The food was also amazing, we had got the quadzilla burger and some extra fries and crispy chicken strips. The chef truly outdone themself. Was an amazing place to go out for lunch, with lots of options and the staff just made it better.

Four meals and all four were stone cold! Got a fresh meal cooked for one of them but then the chips were hard and not cooked. Wouldn't recommend this place at all.

We should have known entering an empty car park on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Upon entering the dining area we were confronted by most of the tables needing to be cleared or cleaned. It was so cold despite the sun outside. The only table not sat in front of open patio doors and that was clean was a table seated for 2. We are a family of 3. We made it work. My partner went to order food and drink and was gone over 20 mins todo so. What I wanted was not available so chose a cheese and bacon burger and cheesy chips. Food came reasonably quickly but I could see why straight away. A handful of chips on a plate and a plain cheese burger for both myself and my son when we had ordered the same… these were taken back to the kitchen by the waiter who was a person of very few words. A tiny peice of bacon was added to the burger and it appeared to be black too - not black from being cooked. I was dubious as to whether it was off or had been on the floor. A small handful of cheese thrown on the top of the chips. The plate had been put under a grill to melt the cheese but the plate being burning hot was not relayed to me when I went to take the plate from the waiter! Despite my son’s plate being burning hot too. This warning should have been told. I ate the chips then tried the burger. The cheapest burger possible which was more gristle than meat. I left more than half of it. It was awful. How a burger and chips could be disappointing in a pub is beyond me. But it was terrible. My husband had ordered a tandoori chicken affair which smelt delicious and was still sizzling on arrival. However the fragrant coriander salad was a handful of supermarket mixed salad that looked dry where it had been left out ages and no mango chutney or other dips on the tray. The wrap had been torn into two to make it look more. I took this opportunity to go complain at the bar. The man I spoke to was very apologetic and the condiments did follow fairly quickly without a word from the waiter. The table next to us was filthy and a family entering had no choice but to sit there and once they got their drinks ended up taking them back as the glasses were dirty. The whole place looks very run down and the whole place is really quite dirty and could do with a deep clean. Such a disappointing pit stop on a beautiful day. Certainly won’t be returning to this pub. Such a shame as it could be a lovely pub if the food had been better quality, the waiter welcoming and the whole place having a deep clean. I do feel an extra member of staff front of house would be beneficial to clear and clean vacated tables. Perhaps the woman behind the bar making her self look busy without doing much could have been clearing tables instead! Sorry I cannot recommend this pub.

Three of us went in for breakfast 2 friends got their's after 15-20 minutes and they were finished by the time I got mine.

Lovely lunch today at the Milton Arms, celebrating a Diamond Wedding anniversary with family who had their wedding reception at the Milton Arms Hotel in 1965. Staff were brilliant, and made us very welcome.

Lee and jane were great. Both very friendly. The food was top notch.

Friendly atmosphere and good parking. I go there with a service user I support. The staff are very friendly, patient and understanding which is lovely.

We visited here on wednesday 26th march . Soon as we walked in all we could smell was drainage or sewers there was a sign on mens toilets out of order. because of the smell we decided not to eat and ordered two drinks. The girl behind bar appeared not to listen to my order as repeated herself many times . we looked around and noticed ripped sofas and broken chairs. took our drinks outside again damaged dirty furniture . Sat down noticed our two glasses were smeary and not clean. i then went to the ladies toilet no sign on door but walked in and nearly fell over a bucket of dripping rain water and toilet doors propped open i presume to dry out . This place needs a good clean and a sort out . The worse thing was the smell

Food was just disgusting. We waited ages for everything and when it arrived it was almost cold and really really horrible. Many things from the menu was unavailable even such a thing as nachos!! Really stay away Received emailed from Milton Arms who offered me a voucher of £40 to return to give them another chance however they have never sent the voucher! Not surprised 🙄

Visited with my daughter. Couldn’t decide what to eat and I was being fussy but a polite young lady who was serving on the bar was patient and polite. Nothing was too much for her. I decided to have macaroni cheese and my daughter had the cheese burger. We both enjoyed the food and left happy and full

The Milton Arms knows how to get creative with burgers! The Quadzilla is a must-try for hungry newcomers and the Cheeseburger Chilli Dipper is simply genius - a burger cut in half, one side served on beef chilli, the other on nacho cheese sauce. Perfect if you can’t decide on just one meal. Had it for the first time last weekend and will be back for sure to have it again. Friendly service from Jack and team
