Just had breakfast and wow it was bloody awful ask for it to be well done and it came out burnt and toast was rock hard I don't think I will be coming back it's a shame cause I travel from bury St Edmunds every week just to go to the Milton arms as it's a lovely place the staff are lovely

Food was just disgusting. We waited ages for everything and when it arrived it was almost cold and really really horrible. Many things from the menu was unavailable even such a thing as nachos!! Really stay away

I went to the Milton Arms Cambridge this lunchtime and as Aways, I had a Lovely Meal. My choice today was The Sea Bass Fillets with Creamy Garlic Mashed Potato, Green Beans and a Lovely Slightly Spicy Tomato flavoured Sauce. It was Delicious !! As it was one of the Special Days they do, with discounts, I was a bit greedy and also ordered the Lovely Peppercorn Sauce which comes in a seperate Jug and the Home Made Coleslaw. Superb Meal and Great Value. The Friendly and Welcoming Bar Man who Served Me, called Ray, was as Always Really Pleasant and I was made to feel Very Welcome and at Home. As a Single Diner, it can sometimes feel a bit lonely in some places, but Never at The Milton Arms. Warm and Friendly Staff and Excellent Food. Keep Doing what you are doing Guys. You are Doing a Brilliant Job.

Me my friend came for lunch today Got there 12 ordered waited for long time 25 30 minutes then starter came out and spoke waiter and asked if we could have our main she said me my friend didn't order any main as didn't come up and then she went check put us on bottom of the list and said if have food out all together I had keep on and then my food came out and that was half an hour or more later then my friend after that had wait extra I think service was bad today but food was lovely after we got but not fair for my friends kids wait so long or people wait long time for food then service was good last time shame wasn't this time hope it improves

We have visited the milton a few times and have never been disappointed from the food to the team to the cleanliness of the pub start with the team amazing they are very friendly and the manager is so much fun to chat with she bounces with energy. Food is always piping hot and pub lovely and clean to day it’s a bit run down maybe needs a makeover but it’s kept clean to a right standard keep up the good work we will be back in a few weeks.

I'm not one to write a bad review and if my mother wrote this she should would probably give it one star. But I wanted to write this so they can improve. We went for a family birthday dinner and my mother had pre-booked a table so they knew when we would be arriving (8 of us). When we arrived we where informed they where short staffed and it would be a 45 minute wait for food. We are already there so sure why not order and wait, we got a few drinks and enjoyed ourselves. The pub has a nice atmosphere, comfortable seating and friendly staff. They also had a good selection of gins and non-alcoholic options of drinks. Unfortunately the food was not worth the wait. When ordering we where informed they where out of beef and carrots. When my partners order arrived they gave him a small bowl of peas instead of the carrots he requested as he is allergic and he had to remind them he was allergic to peas and hence why he requested carrots. The vegetable tart was overcooked, she couldn't cut half of it. We also had very over cooked and dry chicken with no flavor. Both steaks also had no seasoning and we where not asked if we wanted any sauce with it, when we asked about sauces we where advised they had ketchup. The dishes that had chips on only had about 10-15 chips. The burger was good and the turkey roast and Yorkshire pudding was also very nice. After the many bad main dishes I have given 3 stars because they did redeem themselves. We had spent a lot of money on drinks at that point too. We asked if after all the issues we could have dessert on the house and they gave us 5 free desserts. I did then buy 2 other desserts and unfortunately the donut was stale so I asked for a refund which was quickly provided. They where also out of strawberries for the desserts. With a co-op round the corner I'm unsure why you wouldn't send someone out quickly to grab a few supplies. I also heard the table next to us complain to the waitstaff about the food and saw a few full plates going back to the kitchen so we weren't the only unhappy table. The staff are very friendly and accommodating but on a busy payday weekend you would expect there to be more staff. Clearly the kitchen where rushed and the food didn't meet the normal standard I have read in previous reviews. The waitstaff and bar staff where also very rushed and seemed stressed unable to give a good service. We're pretty chill people so we didn't want to make a scene, we did get some free desserts so we can't complain to much.

The only place we come for a cheap breakfast, never had any complaints about it. Ray’s service was great, he was polite and speedy with our order 👍🏻top bloke.

Came in on a busy Sunday service, the place was full and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, I was quickly seated and served, the waiting staff were friendly & attentive but not to in your face. The food was superb, came out steaming hot and was cooked just how i ordered it, I’ll be back for sure, huge thank you to the chef Carl who made my food top, top notch!

Busy Sunday afternoon with great service from all Foh and Boh staff. Sports televised with great atmosphere in the pub. Big menu with lots to choose from which was very exciting. Food served hot and quickly with no issues will definitely be back again very soon. May I just add that quadzilla burger was unreal the size, taste and portion sizes very good. Very appealing on the eye.

Spectacularly friendly and efficient service from all staff, especially Russ. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They genuinely provide excellent customer service. Very friendly, but not over the top. Good food and well priced. We love going there regularly. Highly recommended! :)

We had a mix up at the beginning with a booking to watch rugby but the staff were brilliant x meal was enjoyable. And such a relaxed atmosphere. Staff has been so helpful all evening. Despite being a busy evening too

Ray was really lovely and helpful. We were able to bring our dog and ordered a sausage for her which they chopped up and put in a little bowl! Gem the manager was chatty and lovely too. Food was great value and tasted great. Big thumbs up 👍🏻

Last couple of times we've been here, ended up leaving before ordering. 1 staff on a Friday night covering food orders and the bar. Times before these, have so much of the selections out of stock and no alternative offered. Disappointing how it's gone downhill over the last few months

Was passing by and thought we would try out a pub we haven’t been to in many years, was pleasantly surprised. We were served by a lovely guy named Matt, very happy to help and had a lovely charm about him, great to chat to. Only went in for one yet ended up staying hours.

We went there Saturday night there was 8 of us . I had booked a table we were sat near big doors and the outside door it was as cold in the pub as outside. We sat in our coats all evening my 90 year old mum was freezing I asked if we could move and was told no that’s the only area they do big tables. My mum has been poorly ever since. Our food was cold. My mums scampi wasn’t cooked enough it squelched when she ate it so she left it. I had steak it was fatty and tough and stringy so I left it. The man who served us was very nice and friendly. When we got there the table wasn’t laid or clean and the other table we needed was full of dirty crocks and dirty. Mum has felt sick ever since. And my husbands Gammon was tough and fatty we won’t be back it was our first time and our last. Shame as it’s near where my daughter lives. Also we tried to shut the curtains over the doors they were for show there was just a small amount of curtain each end so couldn’t block the cold out. Also my husband from yesterday has a really bad cold. Nothing was done about us sitting in the cold or our food. To the owner I tried to email you and your email wouldn’t except mine.

It's what it is! A quality menu for the price! I ordered the Sunday lunch! Roast beef, Yorkshire Pudding, roast potatoes, mixed vegetables, and gravy! I didn't have the mashed potatoes as I thought they looked like the powdered type!! I could be wrong!! Well, it's worth a visit! Just be aware that waiting for food is quick. The wait for drinks at the bar is quite long due to low staffing

Revisited on Monday with friends and family and we had a lovely meal. Food was spot on and the service was great again. Staff always go above and beyond and nothing too much for them. All in all another great visit there

Sizzling Pub Wanted to continue my Cambridge pub reviews therefore I entered this pub. What a big menu, from pub classics to comfort food. Took us a while to make decisions. The food we ordered was prepared well, generous portions with very reasonable prices. We enjoyed everything, from the rump steak to the salmon to the sides. The chips were still hot. The salad was a mix of different vegetables and raw onion. It has breakfast menu too. I wonder if it's available all day? Or just morning only? It looks interesting too. Attracted by the champion cup ice cream dessert too. Would that be as massive as the Robin Hood (other Cambridge pub)one? The staff were working hard to clean the environment. Unfortunately found that the seats are still dirty. Had to line some tissues or a tote bag before sitting. I will come back to try other things on the menu. See you soon!

My family ate here last week, they had to wipe their own table and said the place was filthy. 3 out of 4 adults that ate there got food poisoning and have been very sick. Do not eat here.

Went for a family meal and was very impressed with the food. I asked to see the chef just to thank him for a lovely meal and a gentleman by the name of olek came out of the kitchen and was very polite and thanked me for my appreciation of his food. Will be going back again for sure 👍

My family and I come to the milton arms fairly regularly for get togethers and meals, but today's visit was a nice quick trip with my husband. We always have a lovely experience here, the food is great and well priced and they have a wide variety of drinks also at good prices. Special shout out to Lee and Ray who served us today! We were greeted warmly and with smiles, and they attended us in a friendly and professional manner. Thank you to the whole team for making our trips here so lovely 😊

Took parents out for new years eve meal, fish was re fried , wattress said she she saw it being freshly cooked.. it clearly wasn't. Mixed grill.. chicken looked boiled , sausages were undercooked, steak was OK and gaman was nice. Waitress was friendly and welcoming,

Large clean & tidy. Chicken Tikka curry, looked good, tasted good. Fish & chips, chips good, fish not good, clearly refried, although waitress insisted it was freshly cooked, maybe it was, yesterday. Mix grill, looked ok but chicken was colourless looked boiled rather than grilled? Steak tough & chewy. Meal intended to be a New Year's Day Treat! Very disappointed.

We live just near by Milton Arms for quite a few years and usually go there at least once a week, we have never had problems and usually the staff is really polite. Some days ago my family and I went in (9ppl in total) around 9:15pm to have a few drinks and we were told by Courtney (waitress) in a very rude way that next time we should book a table even the pub was dead because if not it will overwhelm the staff and it wasn’t fair on her, the pub literally had 10 people in there and on google it says it closes at 11pm. We did not appreciate it.

Food was of good quality, a warm welcome from staff. Fast service at the bar by Russ and table service from Lee was excellent. Will be sure to visit again soon.

We were visiting family me came cross this pub we popped in for quick bite to eat, in very welcoming from the outside clean and fresh inside team member who served us was very helpful with the menu good piping hot tasted great and drinks fresh will defo be back in the new year when visiting again well done keep up the good work.

Whilst on my travels I visited the Milton Arms in Cambridge. The food was good and it was a good atmosphere, but most of all the staff were friendly and always seemed to be there when I needed another drink. Top pub that I would recommend

Went here with my son , ordered veg lasagna for myself, didn't taste anything special, possibly readymade, and wasn't very hot , a day later had food poisoning, sickness and diarrhea, haven't had tummy upset for over 15 years, certainly put me off ever going again, shame as staff where very polite but rushed off there feet too our table had to be wiped down while we waited .

Its an awesome place to be, staff are so welcoming and most importantly the food was amazing as well.
