Es un buen lugar con algunas cervezas decentes. Éramos picoteadores así que optamos por algunas de las ofertas de “platos más grandes”. Tuve el kebab de jalapeño de muslo de pollo que fue sabroso pero decepcionante. Había 3 trozos de pollo seco marinado. Enormemente cocido y supongo que un muslo entero rendiría más de una porción. Por £ 20 esperaría mucho más de la sección titulada “platos más grandes” Me pregunto cómo son los platos más pequeños? Dicho esto, me gusta el lugar y el servicio era bueno, pero en general siento que es muy mala relación calidad-precio. No es un lugar al que volvería, tengo miedo de decir

Great selection of beers, although they are definitely more expensive than I was expecting. Delicious chips but I was hoping for more from the chicken wings. Sadly they had run out of scotch eggs and sausage rolls.

La comida era en su mayoría bastante buena, pero no brillante, y tal vez no lo suficientemente buena relación calidad-precio. Teníamos croquetas y langostinos / calamares como entrada. Las croquetas estaban bien, y se sirven con un encantador encurtido y hummus de pimiento rojo. La “gamba crujiente y calamares” tenía un langostino y el resto eran calamares, pero estaban bien hechos y presentados con un buen baño. Mi schnitzel de pollo estaba bien, aunque un poco poco poco sazonado y servido con media lechuga gema cubierta en lo que se anunció como salsa de ensalada César, pero apenas podía probar ajo, mostaza o anchoa. Era cremoso y un poco enfermizo. Sin embargo, la parte más desagradable fue el picante kebab de muslo de pollo de mi esposa, que había sido marinado en demasiada sal y era casi no comestible. En conjunto no es realmente aceptable a estos precios (£ 10 por cada entrante y £ 20 + por cada principal). El servicio era bueno y la cerveza estaba bien cuidada.

Muy buena comida y personal fantásticamente amable , selección de cerveza muy buena pero demasiado cara , solo tenía una como resultado . Recomendaría para el personal de comida y ambiente, pero estar preparado financieramente si quieres más de una pinta.

The entire experience at the Pint Shop felt like a warm embrace of holiday cheer. Whether you’re a fan of classic Christmas fare or simply enjoy good food, this lunch was a delightful celebration of all things festive.

I was interviewed for a job in this building 43 years ago so it seemed right to go back and have a pint here! Busy Saturday night but we were seated straightaway upstairs. Food is great and we especially liked our minced beef pies, very definitely made in the premises. The croquettes and mackerel pate starters equally good. Particularly impressed by JJ who looked after us and made sure everything ran smoothly, this guy will go far.

Set over three floors. Downstairs is set up well with a bar, and a big selection of real ales. The restaurant was particularly uncomfortable with old wooden small chairs. Service was fast and efficient. Sadly the food was over cooked with the pork being a very small plate for a main meal. We expected more , with 4 drinks and 4 mains coming to £120, better seating and quality food would make the experience more enjoyable. Sadly we wouldn't return. To note, booking is advised. It's also very busy, and very cramped.

Una fantástica selección de cervezas y muy buena comida del pub, aunque el menú era un poco engañoso en un par de cosas que pedimos (esperando alitas de pollo de Sri Lanka, consiguió pollo frito al estilo KFC?). Sin embargo, no nos desanimó, las cervezas fueron suficientes para hacernos olvidar del pollo 😂 Ambiente muy divertido y gran jardín a cubierto con calentadores de patio. Sin duda volveré de nuevo!

Always liked the Pint Shop, but it’s not what it used to be. Serving staff were great, but food took an eternity to arrive. We had a standard fish and chips. The fish was really thin and the batter was soggy - really basic obvious errors - the food shouldn’t have left the kitchen in that state.

Can’t rate this place enough. Had the burger & chips and loved it. The blackberry lemonade is a must

Really hate to do this as I love the Pint Shop usually but…. I would recommend to avoid their lunch menu and sit and eat in the bar area from the board. I ordered the local sausage which turned up as 1 sausage on a bed of courgettes with a brown juice (not jus, liquid running around the plate). That cost £15!

A cozy gastropub with a varied menu. As for the starters; the BBQ Pizzetta was yummy and baked well. The charcuterie board was generous and the addition of pork scratchings was unique. The Jalapeno Chicken Thigh Kebab was fresh and tasteful, I would certainly recommend it. Finally the churros were crispy and the sauce wasn’t too sweet. My only criticism would be that there was far too much chocolate dip for the amount of churros. Efficient and friendly staff, would happily go again.

Realmente estaba deseando volver aquí como lo han sido un par de veces antes. El pollo césar Kyiv (por 22 libras esterlinas) tenía solo un trozo de lechuga aderezada encima... sin lado... nada... cuando mi marido lo ordenó no se le pidió/vendió/informó que no habría carbohidratos con él. Era muy mala relación calidad-precio. El servidor trajo un lado de chips (en la casa) cuando señalamos esto. Toda la experiencia, ver arriba costo de factura £ 50. 00... mala relación calidad-precio. Estábamos deseando volver a la Pint Shop, pero desafortunadamente ha cambiado para peor. Hablamos con el gerente después de haber pagado para señalar lo anterior en nuestra experiencia. Dijo que el pollo solía servirse con patatas fritas... The Pint Shop, Cambridge necesita actuar en base a las opiniones de los clientes en aquí y otros sitios de revisión y comentarios verbales. Podría ser tan bueno ... y era tan bueno ... pero era un sábado por la noche y estaba bastante vacío ... si no tiene cuidado, podría ir en la misma dirección que el bar / restaurante de Birmingham.

Felt fleeced. Really overpriced for what it is. Nice enough food and staff but the portion sizes are tiny and everything costs too much. However long the queue at Aromi, you’ll have a better meal there!

Chanced upon this bar while exploring the city. Good selection of beers and helpful staff. Tried the popular Juice Rocket and Coconut Porter. Both recommended! Quite pricey but worth it. Nice venue.

Visited here a few weeks ago with friends, for Sunday lunch and loved it so much I came back with my partner for the “amazing roast” We both took the beef It had definitely been sitting on the warming plate not fresh at all The Yorkshire puddings bared no resemblance to my previous experience We were not asked if we needed anything so had to chase for horseradish sauce only to be told they had run out We were not asked at anytime if we needed anything Finally we got the bill £56 my partner paid and the waitress said that will be £60 please without thinking my partner paid it ? Is this a scam I love visiting Cambridge but will never go back here Please be aware of the bill scam !!!

We’ve been here a couple of times for a drink and really like it. Great selection of craft beers etc, nice outside area at the back. We thought we’d try Sunday lunch as it had good reviews and unfortunately it was extremely disappointing. I had the beef and my fiancé had the belly pork. The belly pork was okay but very soggy and pale looking with a tiny slice of stuffing. We overheard that the seasonal veg was greens and courgette but we just got sliced cabbage. A table next to us also got carrots on their roast but we’d finished by this time so couldn’t ask for them. The Yorkshire pudding was nice if not a bit small and the roast potatoes were very solid and dry as if they’d been sat out. The gravy was very pale and watery and there wasn’t very much of it. The most disappointing thing was the beef which while pink was so tough and chewy it was inedible (and I’m really not fussy about this usually). I left it and would have said something had the staff asked. (They did ask very early in the meal how things were but we had barely started eating at the time so just said okay). Maybe we just got a bad day but it was such a shame as we were looking forward to it and at £22 it’s an expensive roast for Cambridge. The staff were good and I don’t usually complain but a roast isn’t that complicated and it was probably the worst I’ve had.

Great service, rubbish and expensive food. Serloin stead was about half a centimeter thick. :(

Great food choices and loved the small plates (tapas style) which all our choices were delicious. There are big plates on offer as well. Service was good with friendly staff willing to help and explain the menu. Lovely cocktails menu as well as a blackboard listing a great selection of beers.

My boyfriend and I had a Sunday lunch here recently and the experience was amazing. We had called last minute to push our booking back which they accommodated. The food arrived quickly and tasted wonderful. We did the 2 course for £28 which was great value for money. We had the beer and pork as our roasts and both tasted amazing and the portions were just right. The service was friendly and attentive despite being busy. They also had a large range of beer which impressed my partner. I would highly recommend Sunday lunch here.

Went for a Sunday roast & was extremely disappointed. The food cost us £44 and the beef had massive amounts of fat and a chewy, rubbery texture. The gravy had a strong vinegar taste and ruined the entire meal. Bar staff member didn’t know what time they closed, and overall was extremely underwhelming. The manager hasn’t even tried the food himself which I thought was concerning considering this is a large selling point for the business. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place as the food is very overpriced and ruined my girlfriends bday evening meal. I was offered half the price for the bill back and not a full refund for our meal. Subsequently we went elsewhere and will not be in any hurry to return here for food.

We were in Cambridge for a gig a the Corn Exchange, this place was nearby. It had a fantastic selection of beers & cider (over 25), you could even have a sample taste before buying. The cost of a pint was pricey but just the spot for a treat. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

Best beers of our "beer day" in Cambridge. BUT the seating was uncompromising on your frame/backside. Ouch, but so worth it beer wise.

Heaven for me. Excellent beer selection and the menu had so much I wanted to order. Went for the pork belly which was so succulent, proper crackling, ace gravy...this was totally yummy. If I lived in Cambridge, I'd be a regular.

Brilliant experience. Super food, attentive staff and great relaxed ambience. Particular mention of Sophia going the extra to make things work for our family get together. Things were organised so well for us with attention to every detail. Outstanding service. Extensive menu only surpassed by the wide ranging selection of beers. All very reasonably priced.

We arrived in the afternoon. The pub was empty. We ordered a lapa with chicken. The dish was delicious.

We had a really lovely large group meal here for my sister’s hen party on Saturday night - thoroughly recommend! I booked a large table with the assistant of helpful Sylvie - food was very tasty, loved the separate area upstairs as it meant we could talk easily. Underrated, Cambridge’s best place for both cask and other beers. One of few places that provide options that are not from Greene King nor other major providers of boring mass produced beer.

What a wonderful find on my, yes, first excursion into Cambridge. Great evening with a bunch of Swedish engineers, introducing them to English pints.

My roast pork was disappointing. You may be able to tell from the picture alone that the crackling was leathery and not really worth eating. The roast potatoes were not particularly crispy, either. The pork belly itself was nice and the other elements were fine, but overall I felt quite let down after reading a lot of positive reviews.

Mine was an unplanned visit, we met family there and it was well worth it. I didn't eat there just a couple of beers. But I'm happy to recommend.

Great choice of beers in central Cambridge, busy and pricey.

We had a really good time at the pub trying some traditional English food. The large variety of different drinks make it a great place for pint lovers.

Wanted to love it. But ended up being disappointed. Food was cold so had to send it back. Bar staff not knowledgeable on wines and also just not very friendly. Will give it another try in the summer

Almost every time we visit Cambridge we eat here. They serve a perfect roast with a perfect pint. Can't wait to go back.

The best place for beer in Cambridge by far. They normally have 17 or so keg beers, 6 or more cask beers, cider on tap as well as an extensive gin and whisky menu. They do bar snacks (highly recommend the scotch egg) and sit down meals in dedicated restaurant areas. The Sunday roast is well worth booking. There's also outside seating at the back which is easily missed (go left at the stairs and follow the corridor).

Indifferent food, faltering beer selection, braying corporate groups, this place has lost its charm and mojo. A victim of its own success that now disappoints.

We visited for lunch and had a lovely meal. The food was excellent, particularly the chicken kebab, and the service was prompt and friendly. Recent reviews made me think the food and service wouldn’t be great but I was very impressed. Will visit again.

We really enjoyed our meals. There was some confusion about the 25 minute wait for the steak pie which could have been avoided. Although we enjoyed the evening, we didn’t need to stay three hours for snacks and two courses. Overall, it was a lovely meal and we’d eat there again.

Good pub food with an excellent selection of beers

The Sunday roast pork belly was absolutely delicious. The crackling was, unfortunately soft, so was a little disappointed it wasn't crispy as described as I was quite looking forward to it. That being said the meal in it's self was filling and the sauce was very good! I would definitely have it again. The sticky toffee pudding was spot on! The staff were friendly and overall it was a very pleasant dining experience ☺️

Firstly the waitress was very accommodating as we were earlier than we had booked for. The food was incredible. We will definitely be back soon for another delicious Sunday lunch !

Why do waitresses insist on clearing table before everyone is finished?? Worst customer service ever. Not much veg and the potatoes were like rocks, way to dry and hard.

Great evening, lovely slick, on it, friendly service, and the food was terrific, better than I remember. Only complaint was we were in a relatively small dining room and the neighbouring table was a large group of very noisy, public schooly types. Killed the evening for us a bit. Not the restaurant's fault obviously, but comes with the territory in Cambridge I guess.

Two of us for dinner, one meal lovely as we expect from The Pint Shop. The other, veggie burger was very disappointing. They have changed from Beyond Meat to another type and it was thin and flavourless and had no texture. The red cabbage slaw was more like an Asian salad with coriander and no mayo. Such a shame because we are regular visitors and on this occasion I left underwhelmed.

Food was decent but took 90 mins for our food to come o,n actually what was a quiet service (empty tables in the downstairs dining room and upstairs when I poked my head in). Everything took forever (30 mins for a missed scotch egg). We had to wolf down our food in 10 mins when it finally came as we were very late for a prior engagement. I requested a quiet table as I'm quiet deaf but we got put next to the music speaker which was inexplicably turned up during our meal and I couldn't hear anything but it. They turned it down fairly quickly though. Just a disappointing birthday meal for my 8 year old with his grandparents

Went for a Sunday roast with a friend, both had the beef and both thoroughly enjoyed it! Really well seasoned food and the meat was cooked so well. Can also highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding, so much sauce and a huge portion!

Lovely space; considered menu with some classics updates a little & just done really well. Fish of the day was delicious. Generous portions - just the right size for a comforting winter lunch. Great selection of beers (unsurprisingly!). Relaxed atmosphere. Really pleasant staff. Will return - as other dishes we want to try out.

There is a wide ranging but short printed menu then a handful of specials. All the food feels cooked to order and everything my husband and I had was delicious. The drinks are fairly reasonably priced, the place is of course known for its wide range of beers which we have sampled many times in the past. The service is good and the staff friendly, if I was being super critical I think the waiting staff could be more engaging, but I fully recommend this place (we have been here many times over the years even though we're not local and it never disappoints)

Gluten free chicken wasn’t cooked properly and over seasoned and was very much un edible. The value for money isn’t there, overcharges for the quality of food.

Booked for a Christmas dinner. The staff was aware of me having a severe Peanut allergy yet on our arrival we found all the booked tables with multiple portions of Peanuts already on them as an appetiser. What a smart move!!

Delicious!! Only criticism would be that the pork was slightly dry.
