Stir Bakery in Cambridge

He estado en un par de veces y NUNCA veo a nadie en el mostrador sonreír. Una sonrisa va a lo largo. Aunque había una camarera en el piso que fue amable y saludó a mi perro. Pero generalmente cuando estoy ahí la gente que hace las bebidas no es amable. Lo entiendo, has tenido un día duro, pero no es difícil sonreír. Trabajas en servicio al cliente. En cuanto a las bebidas, pedí un chai latte (helado) en verano y fue asqueroso, en ese momento pensé que quizás era porque estaba helado y hubiera estado mejor caliente. ¡Oh qué equivocado estaba... Decidí, ¿sabes qué? Lo intentaré de nuevo... fui hace unas semanas y pedí un chai latte caliente. ¡Aún peor! No sé qué chai o qué leche (avena) usas, pero wow, ¿sabes a agua mezclada con un poco de sabor? ¡No como en ningún otro sitio que haya probado! Por favor, hazlo mejor.

Compré pan. Una baguette, muy sencilla, sin sabor. Crust decepcionante. Pan de ciabatta: bonito con un montón de burbujas de aire pero sin sabor. Pan de centeno, textura muy pumpernickel, casi se siente mal cocinado. También falta sabor atrevido. ¿Tal vez una escasez de sal en la panadería esa mañana? Generalmente abrumador para una panadería artesanal.

Buen café, lugar ocupado, pero el servicio era bueno. Wtf está mal con la comida... fue 3 veces en 3 días, 2 veces para el almuerzo y 1 para brekkie. Los platos no son como dicen en el menú para por ejemplo Huevos Rancheros £ 10. 95 . . no era nada como se explica en el menú, sin salsa de maíz carbonizado, sin corinder, sin salsa de tomate y panadería revuelta El pan plano era abominación del pan plano, especialmente para un lugar que se enorgullece de su panadería! Mi sobrina de 10 años puede hacer un pan plano pero revuelve al chef. Lo siento, un cocinero. Lo hizo agrietado, seco y crudo. Ambos lo desperdiciamos. Rellenar con un montón de brotes de guisante no hacen un plato mejor Un día antes había pedido un BLT con huevo escalfado . . . tocino extra seco y duro no es un tocino rayado ideal en cualquier sándwich. 2 rodajas finas de aguacate no se interpretan como aguacate aplastado, así que de nuevo no como lo dice el menú. Gracias a Dios cambridge está lleno de gente cargada que tiene más dinero que sentido para visitar este lugar. Consejos al propietario o mgmt de Stir - 1 ) mantengan un grifo sobre qué y cómo se sirve la comida en sus cafés, sé que es difícil encontrar personal de catering pero ¡no contraten vaqueros! 2 ) no llenen sus cafés tanto más allá de su capacidad que las cosas se salgan de control para que el personal de catering sirva una buena comida decente o llegue allí preparado. Honestamente fue mi error, después de tener una mala experiencia gastronómica el jueves .. fui lo suficientemente estúpido como para aventurarme de nuevo el viernes bien lección aprendida.

Re: sourdough bread. Quality of bread has deteriorated massively in last month or so. I have now decided to go elsewhere whenever possible.

Very disappointing visit today!! FULBOURN branch. No made bagels, young lady very grumpy when I asked why they had no filled bagels? Only to be told we didn’t order stock? So proceeded to buy some seeded bagels which ended up not being very fresh! This is my fourth visit and every other time was lovely but today no fillings and stale bagels and grumpy staff! Very disappointed

This is our go-to cafe when we stay locally. The sourdough bread is a great fave and we take loaves home with us. Great coffee and brunch choices. Staff friendly and chatty. We will be back!

Nice range of drinks and light lunches. A very welcome coffee for us all having had such a busy morning in Cambridge. Very busy, great service, good atmosphere

Great community cafe with consistently high standard of food. Superb coffee and a bit of everything for someone on the menu. The Full English isn't the biggest (although plenty) but the Halloumi Shrooms is the star for me. Treat yourself to an 'Immune Boost Shot'.

This place gets really busy, which shows how popular this place is with locals. it has plenty of outside seating and the staff were very friendly and efficient on our visit. Food was good and plentiful.

Called in for a light Saturday lunch. It was a popular venue with a vibrant atmosphere. We only had to wait about five minutes for a table to be cleaned, sanitized and reset for us. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was well prepared and very enjoyable. Dog friendly. Only one, large toilet.

At 2 AM I passed by and I saw the sign "open" on the door, gladly surprised. Without any demanding attitude, I just knocked, thinking that it was indeed open and I was treated like the worst human being. A rude, arrogant, employee flipped the sign, and basically told me to "go to hell" by giving a cold, annoyed look, then started to make some comments with her colleague, like I was random trash passing by. Why??? I just saw the sign "open" and I wanted to check. Hey, I also wake up at insane hours in the morning for work, and I do not treat people like rubbish. A "sorry, we are actually closed" would work, you know? Edit: the owner apologized to me in private and told me that the issue will be dealt with. Still, not a cool incident, but not worth a single-star rating.

Being disappointed recently by the lack of choice of viennoiseries in coop I have decided to go to an independent bakery to buy some croissant and pain au chocolat.1 croissant,1 pain au chocolat and 1 cinnamon knot £6.75!As a foodie person I don t mind to pay a lot of money for my food as long it s quality.So disappointed !Uncooked,no flakes,elastic.It looks like a day old croissant and pain au chocolat.I can t even know how you can sell this poor quality.You can t be proud of yourself to sell this!I don t normally write bad reviews as I prefer to encourage good business than criticizing but here it s unacceptable.I don t like to be ripped off.Once again I don t mind to pay more but I need to see why I am paying more.Went back in the bakery but surprisingly no bakers,no manager!Stir if you see this review I would love some explanation…

Had breakfast it was lovely great atmosphere very friendly staff will definitely return great community atmosphere 😎

Went for takeout on a Friday morning. Excellent sourdough loaf. Almond croissants were croissants in name only. Nice flavour but totally wrong texture. No lamination, chewy, bready. Nice product but shouldn’t have been called a croissant.

Stir Bakery offers a wide range of delicious artisan breads and cakes. Among our favourites are the mixed wholemeal and white sourdough loaf, the chocolate brownies and the millionaires shortbread - absolutely delicious and dangerously moreish! The mixed sourdough loaf is now a family staple and is wonderful toasted at breakfast and lunchtime.

朝早くから開いているパン屋さん。隣りにコーヒーショップを併設してますが、もっぱら朝食用のパンを買うのに便利。定番もありま すが、ホテルで見かけるちょっとかわった風のパンはここで手に入ります。好きな少し甘い系のクロワッサンは病みつきになります。

Well away from the city centre, this upmarket bakery / cafe appeals to local residents as it has very limited parking in the area. A nice standard of coffees and snack type foods, it feels nice and fresh, relaxed atmosphere. Is it worth a special trip ? No, I don't think so.

Having visited the restaurant next door I had never realised there was a bakery right there! So went in and found out you can do a Bread Subscription (I know amazing) pay each week and get bread delivered to your door! For me I got it to my work and of course got me some sourdough gluten free bread. It was fantastic for the first week! Unfortunately due to the contamination that can happen in the delivery truck they have now stopped delivery which is a real shame. I believe they still do the bread in the bakery, but i know they still serve it in the restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Lovely place perfect for a study session or chilling with friends. As you walk in the coffee shop has a welcoming clean aesthetic would highly recommend a visit. Also their bakery is by the far the best in Cambridge having tried them all I can conclude their sourdough is the best in the city!
