Starbucks in Cambridge

Location near shopping center, near parking lot, very convenient. Good drinks. Quick preparation.

Tables empty of people but not of dirty pottery and didn't see any cleaning if the tables in preparation fir the next customer. Staff pleasant, food and coffee to standard. Toilet, not great hand basin reseal needed, mirrors not great shabby, no loo paper but alerted staff and they sorted. Always carry tissues - for emergencies. I'm always comparing establishments, Starbucks, I expect more.

Nice atmosphere, but the coffee was terrible. The worst I’ve had in quite a while. Please, Starbucks, Cambridge deserves better. This is one of the few places where you can get a coffee in the evening.

Coffee and food are nice, like they usually are in these chain stores, but the staff are useless. Its been a problem in this store since it opened although there was a period of time (a few years ago) with a manager who was excellent, and the store was great then. Since then, had a really dippy manager who was useless and the staff just have no urgency about them and when its busy - its REALLY busy! The Franchise Operator seem blinkered to sorting stuff out. The toilets are clean enough, café is clean enough, just need to get some staff who are interested in working for a living.

This used to be my goto Starbucks, Yuri is a fantastic manager. Unfortunately the last two times, there has been a new male manager with a fade haircut, he wears a white shirt with no apron or name badge to identify himself (08.09.24 12:00) the individual is extremely unpleasant, on this occasion I bought a new reusable green cup, he insinuated that I was going to use it without paying for it. I asked for a medium drink in the cup, he said it was a large cup suggesting I need to pay for a large beverage - the cups are one size, if I ask for a medium put that volume in the cup, its not complicated. I noticed a few other customers dealing with his attitude. The rest of the team at that location are awesome it’s a shame it only takes one person to ruin a good experience

It's a Starbucks in a retail park. This should answer most of your questions. There is wifi available, and plenty of power outlets if you're planning on doing some work while you have your Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Incompetent doesn't come close to explaining the staff here. Forget deliveries as they will just put anything they want in the bag. What the customer wants doesnt seem important.

Now charge 5p for a cup...how else am I supposed to drink the coffee...

Terrible customer service - I stood by the counter whilst waiting to be served being completely ignored by at least 4 staff members doing absolutely nothing. When I asked to be served I was then told I’m being rude! 5mins later I got my order, which was done completely wrong! The staff ignore the fact that some people have food intolerances.

Drinks wrong twice, wasted money. Undrinkable. Staff member denied it was wrong until showed photo on Starbucks website. Remade again, still wrong. Other customers outside said theirs was wrong too and tasted awful. Never going back. Wasted over a tenner. Staff in there completely wordless and unsmiling

Normal Starbucks. The inside is nice, but they should put more tables outside in the summer. Service varies depending on the staff, sometimes it can be slow and disorganised.

Always dirty tables ( over years of visits) and generally untidy feeling to the place. Only go here to meet someone because parking is good

It provides a good environment , no matter chatting with friends or studying alone. Staffs are very nice, especially a lady who made a coffee with ‘Heart’ 💕

Average Starbucks in Cambridge which is ok if you need to meet up. The staff were miserable and I had to ask for straws for our iced coffee.

Atrociously understaffed. The two people here are doing a great job in difficult circumstances but it’s ridiculous to only have two working in a place this busy.

Exceptional service! I'm a support worker. The person we support, myself and my colleague, came for drinks. Unfortunately, they were only able to accept card payments when all we had was cash. The manager very kindly comped it for us without us even asking. Thanks again, Sam! So very kind of you!

Went in after ordering online to collect the drinks, walked in just before they had started them to over hear a staff member making fun of my drink and reading it out loud to another staff member Unaware I was stood hearing it all. As someone who has worked in a Starbucks for a year and had the drink made for them by a collegue there it’s was very hurtful and unprofessional. After handing the drink to me the staff member realised I had heard everything and changed his tune. I explained I had just finished a very long shift 15/16 hrs and needed some sugar. Walked out the cafe and binned my drink as I had been made to feel so bad about myself and the drink

Got this for the first time and it's quite great to the taste.

We had tall and grande late. The tasteless coffees we have ever had. Milk texture was really bad and there was no taste of coffee at all. Really disappointed. Definitely waste of money!

Got my order and 3 others wrong for the 5 minutes while I was waiting. The hygiene is terrible and the tables are always a mess. The flour and wooden chairs look greasy and dirty.

One of the baristas was smoking outside as I was coming inside. When I was in the queue to order he came in and went straight behind the machine, started making coffees without even washing his hands. How disgusting is that?

They always pack up food really early and make it feel like it's an inconvenience to be there (2 hours till close...). But good coffee as expected

I was compelled to enter this establishment which I would not normally patronise but I thought what could go wrong? disaffected staff attitude, cleanliness of the customer area very poor and the worst flat white I have ever had…combine to make this an experience not to be repeated…

Ordered a grande latte !! Definitely not worth the money The cup was only 70 % full and it felt so light !! we are not asking anything more or less #Just the value for the money we pay #

Ordered 2 drinks went to pay and was told they did not accept cash,I did ask why as it is legal tender and the gentleman explained he was sorry but they did not take cash. Out of principle we left the order and purchased drinks else where,the member of staff was polite enough but it should be my choice whether I use cash or not as it is legal tender .

It was very loud and staff had problems hearing out order. For once I wanted to order at the till. Won't do this again. We've ordered their recommended white chocolate with golden caramel drizzle, with whipped cream. There was a tiny bit of the toppings, which is OK I guess. They have forgotten to add hot chocolate so my nephew ended up with hot water with milk and whipped cream 😋 mint tea was nice though and they did try their best with the amount of ppl and variations of Karens. We didn't go back to return pseudochocolate because we drove off and then it was too much of an effort.

great place for a relaxing environment, i usually come in quite late after work and there’s usually the same 2 working when i do, Cameron or Calum and Sam, most talkative and friendly staff here compared to other stores :D

Absolutely awful place. Tables covered in cutlery and food and nobody cleaning up even though it’s quiet. The door has been broken for 2 weeks and bangs everytime someone comes in. Certainly not a place to relax with a coffee.

We received poor service and coffee was bitter and badly made. The first drink we asked for was sold out, and for the second drink the barista was unhelpful in advising on the allergens and didn’t bother to find the allergen list for us. We asked if a caramel macchiato could be made vegan and he seemed unsure, when we asked which syrups were vegan he was reluctant to answer and his manager also made it seem a huge inconvenience to tell us. Once we got the coffee it was bitter and over extracted.

Calum needs to sort his attitude out, visited twice and he was rude both times. He barely even looked our way whilst taking our order and pretended that an ice latte was something he's never heard of! Never been treated so poorly by a staff member before and I felt so uncomfortable here. The one star is for the other young lady on shift who was lovely and very attentive, unfortunately I didn't catch her name. I think this particular branch would benefit from urgently improving how the staff deal with customers, particularly when taking orders.

This particular makes the best iced matcha latte with soy milk. We brought our sheltie for a puppuchino, he absolutely loves it.

Quite like Starbucks mostly go to Newmarket road store if weather is good I tend to sit outside, normally get tea and sometimes a sausage sandwich maybe , normally tasty

Maps shows this shop as drive thru however it is not the case. Instead there is a large parking area so you can park the car and pop in to the store. Great selection of drinks as usual for Starbucks. Only one down side is that place needs a good cleaning, especially the tables.

Vegan & Vegetarian options limited, Hot Chocolate was a hot chocolate, busy as expected, lots of people working, TBH the last time I went to a Starbucks was in Australia 25yrs ago. 🤷😁

Starbucks is my go-to place for studying and coffee. I absolutely love it! With its cozy atmosphere and delicious coffee, I can spend hours here without getting bored. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a productive study session or a great cup of coffee.

Tables full of rubbish with no bins inside

Visited at 3pm and it was a very Dirty restaurant don’t think the floor had seen a broom all day (probably longer…) No Cash accepted …… is that even legal ????? Wouldn’t heat up a cinnamon swirl - every other Starbucks I’ve ever requested this from hasn’t had an issue but apparently they can’t heat these because the icing would melt and get hot… really ???? Last time I had a 3 cheese toasty it was so hot I think it’d come from the surface of an erupting volcano !!!! Lame excuse imo ! The (cold) cinnamon swirl was then launched at us in a bag with a huge hint of attitude - overall not a good experience - it would have been a 0 star review if there was the option 👍🏼

Waiting for my car to have its MoT so popped in here. Can't order anything without sharing a name ("it's our procedure"). Only one other customer ordering so no chance of a mix up! Cake came in a paper bag and the wishy washy tea was in a paper cup. Tables strewn with crumbs, dirty cups etc when I arrived and no effort made to clear tables in the time I was there. Prices of a decent cafe, standards way below that.

Service is a little slow at time, but staff are polite and helpful. Few occasions had to drink from disposable cup, because the dishwasher is broken. During cold seasons this particular branch is cold because the door is operated by a button the opens it very wide and does not close immediately, making the sit down experience more of a polar one.

This is a review for the Starbucks on Christ's lane. This is a very clean and friendly Starbucks. The cafe was not over busy and the toilets were clean. The only down side is the amount of students hogging the tables studying, seemingly without a time limit. This leaves the amount of space for families very limited. Great coffee though.

Rude staff, just been and they made the wrong drinks, the girl making the drinks was so off with us, she needs training in customer handling, urgently! Reading other reviews I think Starbucks should insist on a training programme for this one, avoid at all costs, take your hard earned cash to a local independent coffee shop, they are always welcoming and value your custom.

The tolblerone Christmas thingy was decidedly meh.

Did not eat but had a drink. The service was a good standard and there was only a small wait for drinks. The venue was clean and staff were polite. Lovely visit

Except for the coffee this place is so dirty. For the price paid kindly put efforts to keep the premise clean for the customers to enjoy the expensive coffee.

Had a pastry which was nice. The festive hot chocolate was a massive let down. Their ices fraps are pretty good.

This coffee shop is certainly getting better. It went through a bad Phase about a year ago but since the new CEO it certainly has risen from its doom days. They have lots of new options on the menu and some vegan options which always makes a place more contemporary. The coffee doesn't seem so bitter anymore with fuller flavour. Not to mention how the shares have risen in this company over the last year. Must be doing something good.

I used to avoid Starbucks, but there are few cafes in Cambridge open after 5pm. It's a great place to sit and get on with some work. There are plenty of sockets for plugging laptops in and the staff are always friendly.

Filthy toilets both male and female. No soap in dispenser in female toilets. Reported to staff but there was no response, other than, “Oh, ok.” We were there for another fifteen minutes, no staff went near the toilets. Why? Unacceptable.

Although the oat latë ordered was good, the tables were not kept clear and inviting to sit at.

Customer service is shocking. Tables dirty. Was sat at a table outside with a scooter asked very politely if was possible for someone to bring the coffee outside for me only to be told no. Very poor.

Disinterested staff, filthy toilet.

This starbucks of Newmarket Road was filthy. These was the most filthy toilets I've been in. They couldn't have checked them every hour like most food and drinks places do.🤮

Service in this Starbucks has deteriorated. Will no longer accept cash since Covid and have advised me that this is now to be going forward. Will only be card only. Need to watch out for what they are charging. Was charged disposable cup fee for having a normal mug to sat in demanded to have this charge removed before paying. Ordered a latte. When the latte was given to me, it was 3/4 full had to ask for a top up staff with a face like thunder through it, down the drain and gave me a fresh one Which was cold i had to go up and complain again I was just given a refund. Very disappointing as I used to like this coffee shop or no longer be offering my custom. which they probably won’t care about.

Needed somewhere to charge laptop and get a coffee. Did both well......

This could be a nice Starbucks but each time i go there the tables are always full of the last persons empty packages. The outside area is often lots of empty tables with stuff on them. I can say that the cleaning is letting this place down very badly indeed as all other aspects are great. Perhaps add an outside bin might be a good idea if it has not already been done.
