The best restaurants in Witham Chipping Hill and Central Braintree East of England

Came here with a few friends for a couple of drinks and i can say this place offers the best cocktails in witham by a mile! We will come back

Amazing food and service. Everything went really well. Chicken tikka dansak top notch. All our party said their food was delicious. Spotlessly clean, friendly and welcoming.

Found this place couple months ago and it’s now the go to place. I only eat from 2 other places in witham but this is my go to place for good value for money

Fabulous pie mash and indeed liquor. The place is spotlessly clean. The staff are just wonderful people. The food is second to none. The pies are full of meat. The mash is just salted. The liquor is nectar of the Gods. I wholeheartedly recommend.

Fantastic food at a competitive price, large range available & all freshly cooked.

Food is reasonably good . They appear nice and friendly. However, when you dig behind this place, they are out to convert the weak and vulnerable. They are not LGBTQIA friendly. There are no female pastors. A patriarchal dump run by men for men and women are door mats. Don't go there.

Astara is good food but seems getting very expensive !Also they charging service charge 11.70 this not very good this is not turkey and people tip also why we are paying extra service charge ? I decide not to go where I pay service charge.

Always busy but always go out of their way to fit you in. Food is delicious. Service attentive and friendly. Always with a smile. Highly recommend it..

I had lunch here with my two grandsons, the youngest one lives in Witham and knew the restaurant well. Having said that; we have eaten there several times and the service and food has always been excellent. We were there Christmas Eve for breakfast 😍…. Anywsy, .back to last Friday. I chose to have a chicken caesar salad….. it was the best I’ve ever had and excellent value for money too. I would thoroughly recommend. Both my grandsons enjoyed their choice of food too and would have loved pancakes for dessert but having had them before, they both knew they wouldn’t be able to finish them!!! If you’ve not tried their pancakes . Then pay a visit.

Went in for breakfast for 2 persons a couple weeks ago, the service was extremely slow not sure why because it was not very busy. After waiting 45 mins to be served breakfast we paid for hot drinks and left. Very disappointing, will not return.

Stopped by Crofters in Witham for breakfast with my daughter, and we were really impressed. The food was fresh and well-cooked, definitely a cut above your average café breakfast. The staff were warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Service was efficient without feeling rushed, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. If you’re looking for a good breakfast spot in Witham with great food and friendly service, I’d highly recommend Crofters. We’ll definitely be back!

Came here on a whim after seeing some of there amazing cakes on Facebook. Absolutely beautiful place with a nice cozy indoor seating area and a beautiful outdoor seating area that is still covered so can sit even on a gloomy day (we sat in the outdoor seating area). Had a latte, a tea and 2 full english breakfast for a decent price. All came very quick and hot considering they wasn’t quite. Staff are so friendly and happy to have a chat with you. To top it all off we was greeted by Ted who is there regular friendly robin. Really lovely place. Will definitely be coming back
