Very much enjoyed this place. Great food. Nice staff. Only thing that annoyed me was when asked what bottle of wine we wanted, i replied the cheapest at £24. The waiter tried to order me a £35 bottle. Hate this kind of crafty up selling. But apart from that a great night, will return soon

Wow, absolutely fantastic service. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday and all the staff made her feel so special such a lovely touch handing her a birthday card and dessert, she even had her photo taken as a keep sake to take home. The general manager, Kenny was incredible and we are so lucky to have this on our doorstep. Plus the food is the best!!!! Thank you so much for a wonderful evening.

Staff were friendly and attentive and the owner was on hand to check we were all okay and happy, which made the experience feel personal and genuine. The food was great; our table ordered a wide variety of dishes and everyone was impressed. The portion sizes were generous. I ordered the Takoyaki to start and would’ve appreciated more octopus as the pieces were so miniscule and not many to get the full flavour. That’s the only downside! Would recommend, particularly for groups on a Saturday evening.

It was mine and my husbands first time visiting AKA with our friends for her birthday. We surprised her and the staff were so helpful with making this happen. We ordered a lot of food and asked for some help as it was our first time here. All the food was delicious and presented so beautifully. The staff members that were extra helpful with our visit and with everything we needed were, Patrick, Lucy and Erica. They even surprised my friend with a stack of profitroles and a candle and sang her happy birthday. It was such a wonderful atmosphere and when staff are as friendly as these guys you feel more comfortable and relaxed when having your meal. The staff went above and beyond to make our dinner special. Towards the end of the night we wanted a photo by the beautiful blossom tree and Patrick took our photo with my friend phone and even lifted the lamp to give us better lighting- he then got an instax camera out and took our photo so we could take a Polaroid home- that was such a beautifully wonderful touch and was so appreciated!! We will definitely be back soon!!

A favourite of ours when we fancy this type of food. Everything was fresh and tasty. Staff are always on hand. The cocktail “Gin Berry” is delicious we have since recreated this at home.

Had a stunning meal here for our wedding anniversary. The staff here are just so lovely and made our anniversary so memorable. Food was stunning. We had quarter duck and squid to start. Excellent service. They went out of their way to make it comfortable for the family. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very vibrant. All staff were very friendly. Its has a clean and nice setting. Food was good; modern Indian - more authentic compared to a standard Indian restaurant. Highly recomended.

The food was outstanding! I ordered the Malaysian beef curry and it was definitely one to go for, if you like a bit of spice and chilli and the beef just melts in your mouth. And don't forget the vegetable spring rolls - we ordered seconds! All ingredients extremely fresh and no compromise on quality. Also ordered the tasty Passionfruit Martini from their cocktails menu! The restaurant runs so efficiently headed by Kenny and his great team. This was 5* food on a mid-week night and this says it all! Well done to Kenny and the team.

Great spot in Witham for a sit down ‘Asian Fusion’ meal. Not cheap but food was lovely, fresh and generous portions. Very attentive staff. 10/10 for cocktails too.

If you’re visiting Witham you absolutely must go to Aka, the staff, food & cocktails are unbeatable. From the minute you sit down they make you feel like family and are so attentive you won’t go without. The food is so fresh and the flavours are incredible. Whatever you order on the menu you won’t be disappointed. If I can recommend any of the cocktails you must try the espresso or pornstar martini. From speaking to the bartender himself, Patrick, the thought that goes into making their incredible cocktails you won’t believe. He takes so much pride in making the perfect cocktails and never fails. Keep an eye out for the new cocktails he’s been personally perfecting down to even making his own flavoured liquours. And the final shout out is to King Kenny himself, he is the host of hosts, the crème de la crème and that is all. Thank you Aka for the best nights.

Our first visit to this restaurant and will not be our last. Everything was spot on, service, food and wines. Not only was everything just right it was also very reasonably priced. The decoration is pretty and everything is exceptionally clean, a major plus for any restaurant. Do go, you won’t be disappointed.

My friend and I visited last Friday for my birthday. The food was delicious and the service fantastic. Kenny Wong and his team really looked after us. We ended the night with cocktails from Kenny’s chief cocktail maker who is also amazing! The team made us so welcome and we will definitely be back. AKA is another jewel of witham! Some of the best food I’ve eaten and the drinks are incredible! Went for birthday and Valentines meal and have to say the service/food/ambience was excellent. From the moment we arrived to when we left we were treated so well by every member of staff and it was very busy. Best prawn toast we have ever had! The staff made my daughter’s birthday so lovely.

I have eaten well in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong and I have never eaten better Chinese food, than the AKA restaurant and lounge. They have the usual favourites on the menu, but many more interesting options cooked to perfection.
