Pop In in Braintree

Found this place couple months ago and it’s now the go to place. I only eat from 2 other places in witham but this is my go to place for good value for money

Great value and delivery on time.the chicken kebab and chips were hot and all cooked well.only fault ......I didn’t have any chilli sauce that I had asked for on my kebab other than that I would have given 5 stars

Best fish and chip shop by far .been a couple of times first time Mixed up as thought I’ve called Churchill’s on line .when we got our order confirmed the address was pop up church street.so glad I did food delish.highly recommend.

What a fantastic meal. A mixed kebab consisting of lamb donner, chicken shish and salad covered with garlic and chilli sauce. Top value at £6. I'll be back again soon.

Witham is lucky to have a good selection of fish and chip shops. Some better than others, but one I would call my favourite?.... hmmmm.... not really. I’m really pleased to say that’s now changed. Pop In (on Church St. in Witham, opened a few weeks ago. My first cautionary visit to try their fish and chips was a pleasant surprise. But could they be consistent? I reserved my judgement. I’ve now been a few times and can really highly recommend them. I’m a haddock fan myself and in the past few weeks I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve been served from Pop In. Just about every time the fish - and usually the chips too, are freshly cooked. The batter on the fish is thin and crisp, the flavour of the fish is wonderful too. I’ve also now become a bit of a chips with curry sauce junkie too, thanks to them. If I can’t manage fish and chips, then it’s the chips in curry sauce option for me. Yum! With any food outlet, the quality of the food is obviously the first consideration, but Pop In staff are also just so friendly. It’s so nice to be greeted with a smile and a chat as if I’ve been a customer for years. I’d really encourage everyone to try out Pop In. I really want their business to thrive and become very well known in the area. That way I get to keep my at long last found favourite chippy 😄
