The best restaurants in Cotgrave Rushcliffe East Midlands

We have ordered from here many times and have loved a lot of the menu items. I tried the chilli king prawns today and wouldn't recommend. The battered prawns go very soggy in the sauce and I only got 2 prawns. Will order again, just not that dish :)

Very disappointing given all the other glowing reviews. Biriani seemed to be just spiced rice and meat either not much else. Came with a tiny vegetable curry. Naan breads stale. Also had Korma and a tikka masala contain huge- both of which had huge amounts sugar in (the sweetest curries I have tasted) but were otherwise bland. All in all I could not recommend.

We enjoyed an excellent breakfast, very busy on Saturday morning, but we were looked after. Throughly recommended.

Worth a visit if you are not a local

Great food - go here regularly!

Very nice roaring fire in the main bar area. Menu was nice but sadly it took 40 mins for our meal (4) to arrive from ordering. Only one other table having food in our area. The chips were not really chips but skin on wedges, not crisp. Not sure what they were cooked in , the club sandwich was misleading description. It was a ciabatta sandwich . The waiter was good, cheery young man. This is a nice pub but the food we had was fine but sadly not great..

2 hours late and pizza came half cooked.

Appalled at the poor customer service. On every drinks menu they advertised 15% off food on a Thursday after 4pm. I went in with my two children and ate an average pizza. When the bill came, there wasn't any discount. When I pointed this out, I was told 'we don't do that anymore'. I pointed out that it was advertised. Supervisor couldn't have cared less. She refused to do anything. I asked her to call the owner. She came back and said they still wouldn't do anything. I said it was false advertising and that I'd let people know on Facebook. She called me immature! So unprofessional and unkind. An apology and recognition of THEIR error would've been a better approach. Surely if they advertise a discount they need to honour it?! I won't be returning. The food isn't even that good.

My partner and I popped in for a bite to eat whilst in the area, and it was lovely from the moment you stepped through the doors. The decor was nice, a hint of vintage but still in the modern era. The bathrooms were decently sized and looked nice. And the food. Well both our meals were amazing, filling and filled us both with pure joy. The staff were also so kind and had a nice attitude, so made it feel lovely. Will definitely be going here again when in the area :)

traditional gravy is good, 3 pieces of meats (turkey, gammon, beef), sausage , Yorkshire pudding, and lots of vegetable with gravy. Good value in this price. Recommended.
