Visited for coffee and cake. Everything was delicious, all staff friendly and helpful. Beautifully decorated inside. We will definitely be returning when in the area. Thank you

Nice food in a good atmosphere.

Really lovely place for a family breakfast. They had no problems accommodating us without a booking and had a highchair available for our little one. Food was great, delicious and a good portion size. We will be visiting again

First time here, food was great but over priced for the portion size, milkshakes were amazing. Good service and good atmosphere.

Fabulous food. Cooked beautifully. Bit slow to be served as they were hammered busy. Atmosphere was very loud and rhe table next to us was kicking off as there food has taken a while. I say be patient as it was worth the wait!

Lovely little cafe with a good menu and some delicious looking cakes. I had a breakfast cob and the sausages were very good. I recommend booking as it was very busy when we went on a weekday morning.

One my family’s favourite spots! Always lovely food, really friendly service and always with a smile! You can safely choose anything on the menu and enjoy it all - so I could recommend the whole menu! But my must haves: daily pie special, mushroom on toast, breakfast, carrot cake and the bueno slice! Also sells some lovely little trinkets, gifts and cards. Really worth the visit 🍽️

Cute and cosy tearoom style with beautiful homemade food and good coffee- I'm absolutely hooked on the wedges and coleslaw myself! I would also definitely recommend giving the Terry's orange hot chocolate a try when it's cold out ❄️ Staff are always lovely and work so hard, thank you for making every visit the best ♡

This was our first visit to Pig and Pudding and we ordered the omelette which was really good and filling. The service was good and staff were friendly. Would definitely go back. A real little gem in Cotgrave.

Lovely breakfast in a convent place. I often do cycle touring around in the area and it’s practical to start the day in this lovely tea room served by the loveliest of people ♥️

Disorganised. Waited over 20 minutes for a takeaway cob and girl laughed in my face as she said she hadn't put it through to the kitchen

I was in the area with work and thought I’d stop off to get a bit of lunch. Seen on the menu they had toasties. I choose the chicken, pesto and pepper one. Priced at £4 something I thought could be decent based on reviews. How wrong was I, I received a thin soggy toasted sandwich with a bit of chicken, very little pesto and few bits of red pepper. Most disappointing toastie I’ve ever had

Great food and excellent service

Saw this place while I was in the area and popped in for a coffee and cake. Very friendly staff, clean and tidy premises, individual screens around each table so everywhere was Covid safe. Very homely feel to the place with lovely pictures, trinkets, magnets, candles etc for sale. I'll definitely be back and would thoroughly recommend the cherry scones!

We came here for a quick lunch and it was delicious! The staff here are all so friendly and welcoming. There are plenty of measures in place to maintain hygiene and social distancing. Its a lovely little place and you can buy some really nice gifts here too.

My wife organised a family celebration for her mums 88th birthday. A group of 23 enjoyed an excellent buffet. Many guests commented on the delicious the food and what a lovely tearoom it was. Louise and her staff provided frreindly and professional service. We would highly recommend Grannies Tearoom. Mum said ".....It was perfect." Thanks Louise

Lovely building, warm welcome, quirky gifts to buy and a fabulous selection of cards. I have been bringing my mum here for years. I love it.

This has nice atmosphere and attentive staff but the cherry tomato quiche was tasteless, couldn’t pick up any cheese flavour at all, a bit like a savoury egg custard yet pastry was good. Such a shame. Fine bar dessert was yummy

Pleasant and friendly tea room.

The service was excellent even though it was very busy. Food delicious. Some very interesting and unusual gifts for sale too. A 'prayer request' box by the till means you can ask for prayers and local churches will pray for you. A lovely experience all round.

Unreasonable owner. They don't sell yoghurt which I needed for my son's poorly throat. It was either go somewhere else, or stay for coffee and nip to Sainsbury's for a yoghurt. The pleasant and reasonable staff on at the time said this was fine. A while later the owner came out and told me it's not acceptable and so we left leaving the place completely empty. I had already bought some wrapping paper and was going to buy a gift too. I think allowances should be made for children's requirements.

Always popular tea room with parking. Wheelchair accessible with care and the loo is large enough for disabled people. Good quality homemade food in generous portions with very cheerful service.

Popped in to have a full English breakfast, This is a lovely place to stop,the service was quick and food very good. very nice staff. The whole place was clean and welcoming and very quaint. With lots of windows the place is very light again adding to the really nice feel. food was cooked well and good quality bacon and sausage, this place obviously gets busy, there were lots of people in and out, some for take out items.Although I didn't have one the scones looked very good. A good place to return to and will very soon.

Grannies is a lovely cafe where the food is fabulous and the staff are always friendly. They are welcoming to mums with pushchairs.

Although we live about 30 miles away we were recommended this place by a friend so as we were in the area today we stopped for lunch. We were served quickly and had an excellent lunch - chicken pie and vegetables and bacon and brie toastie. The room had a farmhouse/cottage feel to it and everywhere was nice and clean and the staff were very pleasant. We will certainly come again if in the area

This is the second time here so wanted to leave a review. Great food for a great price. The ladies serving were all friendly and looked after us quickly. We had jacket potatoes today and they give you lots of fillings. Loved all the little gifts they sell and bought a couple of presents again, which were a really good price. A gem in the village

In the UK for a family wedding, Grannies was chosen as a meeting place for some of the guests prior to the ceremony. Tables were reserved in advance for us. Grannies friendly staff were super accommodating and the full English breakfast excellent and good value for money. Highly recommended.

Excellent! Lovely wheelchair accessible cafe. Friendly staff and food looks and tastes great. No skimping on fillings and portions. They know how food should look when it arrives on the table.

Have been to Grannies Tea Room several times. The place is relaxing and interesting, selling bric a brac, cards and soft toys as well and delicious cakes and snacks.The staff are friendly and the prices of the food etc is reasonable. The only negative thing I would say was that I took my very young granddaughter there and the high chair was sticky and the safety straps needed to be washed.In saying this it is very rare to find any high chair that looks clean and germ free.I would recommend that people experience Grannies Tea Room, I am sure that it would not be the only visit.

Quiet little place, full of locals. Could driven past had we not been directed here by pub over the road. Staff helpful and friendly. Fantastic meal steak and veg pie pastry was to die for. Lemon meringue pie eas perfectly zingy really hit the spot.

Should you be in Cotgrave and fancy a very nicely cooked sustaining breakfast then Grannies is your destination. You will be made welcome by the staff, and there is a choice of traditional breakfast dishes. We went the whole hog and had a traditional breakfast which was a decent sized plate of food, which was not greasy. It comprised 2 sausages 2 rashers, an egg, baked beans , mushroom and tomato, and toast. And there are newspapers. We left thinking to ourselves why don’t we do this more often.

Me and my friends wanted to dine here, and as we wanted to live up to the theme we dressed up as grannies, and it was exceptional. The staff members were lovely and the tea and biscuits were beautiful! We wanted to live the life of a grandma for a day, and I can tell you it seemed exceptional, we were having fun chatting and loved the pension life. But what a lovely cafe, surrounded my lovely people.

Very friendly eatery and gift shop in the centre of Cotgrave. Either walk to it or if you drive you share Sainsburys car park and there is a time limit.

Not knowing the area and only visiting Cotgrave on business, we planned to have lunch here in advance because of the previous Trip Advisor Reviews. We weren’t disappointed and had a lovely lunch. Service was prompt, efficient and ladies were super friendly. Hubby had Quiche, wedges and salad and I had Vegetarian lasagna, wedges and salad. Food was really good, home cooked and came quickly. Place had a lovely warm friendly atmosphere.

My friends and I regularly go to Grannies in Cotgrave. The home made food is always delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. I have only one small gripe and that is the wooden chairs would benefit from having a padded cushion. Would be a little more comfortable on the rear end!! Other than that everything is lovely.

I have recently moved to the village and I love coming here with a friend for lunch. It’s had a great menu and lots of lovely fresh home cooked specials. Great cakes , teas and coffees too. The staff are friendly and helpful , I would recommend if you would like somewhere nice and reasonably priced for lunch- you won’t be disappointed.
