Sophia's in Rushcliffe

Visited having heard about the recent local award that Sophia's had won. The hot chocolate looked sad (pictured) and that reflected the general mood overall. No offer of adding additional items like cream or marshmallows to it; just arrived as it arrived. Ordered the turkey, stuffing and apple sauce sandwich. The first red flag was with apple sauce - white why this is a thing, who knows! I had wrongly assumed two things 1. It would arrive hot, in the spirit of the season 2. It would be fresh carved meat It arrived a cold sandwich on normal white bread. The meat was thin sliced packet turkey. All very sad looking for the £6 price point. Perhaps I was expecting too much in my minds eye - bloomer bread with fresh hot turkey and stuffing, for for a cold and windy day! The other meal taken was a panini - this was fine - unremarkable but also fine.

Wow! What an amazing find this was, lovely atmosphere, passionate staff, and the incredible food! We both had the full English breakfast, and it was delicious. Locally sourced ingredients, which was noticed in the taste, prepared fresh, and very reasonably priced! Highly recommend, and we dine out at least 3 times a week, so trust me when I say; you won’t be disappointed!

I had two afternoon tea vouchers for Mother’s Day , I went with my mum , we have been for afternoon tea in various places but Sophia’s is by far my favourite! With a good selection of sandwiches, two freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam , and a selection of cakes & macaroons, 2 big pot’s of tea , delicious . Gift vouchers are available for a special Gift for family and friends.

A perfect place to eat, drink and relax with friends. Comfortable but very stylish decor. You instantly feel relaxed. The staff are friendly but professional. The owner, Catherine, is on hand to ensure the very high standards of service and cleanliness are maintained. This all adds to a very pleasant experience. State of the art coffee machine and delicious, made to order, fresh food. Plus it is licensed! I will definitely be visiting again. I just wish we had something like this where I live. Please support your local businesses.

We visited this small but very friendly cafe/wine bar, the staff are friendly and helpful smiling and just lovely, we had the bacon buttie was the best tasting bacon I've had for years and the special got chocolate mmm delicious,will certainly return for more of the same.

This is such a lovely cafe. Perfect for just popping in for cake and a brew or having a more hearty lunch and even a glass a wine (which you get nibbles with too). Definitely recommend the pitta bread, olives and hummus as a starter, the sandwiches and soups are yummy too. Lovely selection of cakes. Excellent friendly service from all the staff. Really enjoy coming and feel very welcome.

Great peaceful environment, a relaxed atmosphere, the staff is fantastic, friendly,polite and attentive. The cafe itself is very clean, the toilet is immaculate which is always something that tells me a lot about the people who run the establishment. Will recommend and visit again soon.

Lovely cafe with fantastic bacon cobs. Limited food menu items - not a worry for me though as I always choose the bacon cobs! But a fantastic selection of drinks with creamy lattes! Come regularly with my partner or members of his family.

We'd high hopes for this coffee shop. But, remember those weak, lifeless coffees from years ago? Revisit them here. The coffee list reads well but the delivery is a limp lifeless brown watery liquid. There's not much local competition I guess. Would be good if the management heard the feedback and rose to improve.

This is a great little spot if you happen to be in Keyworth. It's clean and tidy with a great selection of coffee and cakes. I've not tried a meal as such but from what I've seen they look very good indeed. The service is all you'd ever want and the lass behind the counter (I'm guessing it's Sophia herself?) is very friendly and helpful. My favourite is the carrot cake and it's one of the few places that serve San Pellegrino 'Lemon and mint', try it, improve your life...;-) Cutting the review short, I've talked myself into it...guess where I'm going? :-) :-)

Mum and I enjoyed a hazelnut latte each and then decided to share a sandwich. I felt the sandwich was a little disappointing, would have preferred thicker bread. However the tomato chutney was to die for, and the sandwich was accompanied with coleslaw and crisps. Lovely home made cakes and bakes filled the counter and too irresistible for me not to buy. I bought fruit scones and a chocolate chip shortbread, all delicious.

I wanted to have an informal 'business' meeting, and choose Sophia's as being convenient. Worked out very well. There was some parking available outside, as well as behind the supermarket on the opposite side of the road. The staff were friendly and it had a nice relaxed atmosphere. Our coffees & teas were what we wanted, and so we ordered some lunches. We thought there was quite a lot of choice on the menu. This isn't a restaurant serving in the evenings so don't expect large full size meals - but instead reasonably sized lunches. We were able to discuss in a nice informal atmosphere our work, and wi-fi was available. Staff ensured our tables were cleared quickly and we very attentive without being intrusive. Worked well for us and so will do this again.

I met a friend there the other day, this is a lovely well run coffee shop. Menu is designed for coffe with a cake or snack at reasonable prices. I had chicken and vegetable soup and it was just the ticket as I had not eaten all morning. Staff very friendly if you have not tried it is worth a visit

Good food, relaxed atmosphere, high chair for the toddler, great value. Some of the other guests were obviously regulars, which is always a good sign Sophia is a real person, not just a brand. We'll definitely be back.

The service here was friendly and quick, and even though the waitress thought my request for marmite with my crumpets was strange she rolled with it and I had a delicious breakfast!

5 star experience! Fabulous customer service nothing too much. The best Victoria sponge sandwich not to mention the mouth watering bacon buttie and if you fancy a sugar boost, the hot chocolate special is the best thing yet!!! Don't miss out on this fantastic place!!

The best place for coffee for miles around. Great atmosphere, stylish decor, amazing selection of cakes, friendly staff and timely service. The small snack menu at lunch is very well-presented. Would highly recommend.
