The Frame Breakers in Rushcliffe

Attended an important family celebration on Saturday. Outstanding buffet food, lovely atmosphere and great service. A real ‘feel good’ occasion. Thank you!

This is a great pub for a drink but definitely not set up for evening dining. They ran out of the food we were originally going to order and unfortunately what we had instead was distinctly below average! Poor quality, greasy and flavourless, we left most of it plus there was no table service and no cutlery on the table etc. As I said previously it is a drinkers pub and not set up to have a meal in the evening, stick to what you are good at! We will dine at the Ruddington Arms and White Horse in the future for quality pub grub.

Absolutely delicious Sunday dinner with lovely, warm attentive service. Soup for starter, beef for main and sides of cauliflower cheese and mash potatoes Pudding of apple crumble and ice cream. Yummy Will be back. Thanks so much

An impromptu birthday meal for 11 people that John and Dave very kindly were able to squeeze in at shorg notice. The majority of us opted for the Sunday Lunch deal; generous portion sizes coupled with extremely high quality food very much a "home cooked" standard and far removed from anything resembling "pub grub". Staff were wonderful and the new starter coped admirable with a large gathering. Highly recommend.

A really great choice of quality beer. Staff are polite and friendly with great service. We both had different pies and they were pretty damn good pies. Homemade mushy peas were excellent too. A cracking little pub. Popped in yesterday and all the staff were under pressure to get the beers back on tap. There was still service with a smile

Had a weekday lunch here yesterday and it was brilliant. The menu here is perfect for a delicious yet very affordable lunch for the quality - the pizzas are hand crafted , light dough base and fully loaded. Starters - The chicken pieces teriyaki style were the best I've ever had (commendations later to chef who told us it's a new batter recipe 👍). Calamari was succulent and chicken burger was extremely well presented and decorated, and demolished! The service was lovely and friendly. Even though it was a Monday and was quiet it was brimming with atmosphere due to the cool decor and music. Definitely we will be back. For us it is perfect if you're doing the Rushcliffe country park, the Knitters museum, the Train museum. Opening hours are really good too. Highly recommend!

Perhaps the most un-welcoming pub in the village. Seems that regulars are in a click and any new visitors get ignored when it comes to ordering drinks at the bar. Me and my friends were in front of the bar but the barmaid thought she'd ignore us and serve some regulars who had walked in after us. This has now happened on two occasions. Won't be going back. Awful experience.

Great Beer, Great landlord, Good atmosphere.

Lovely pub good atmosphere with customers but service was just appalling! Bar staff seem to be there for their own social occasion rather than customers particularly the young female bar staff who served us with a carton of orange juice held to her neck (I’m serious !) whilst continuing her conversation with friends hardly a glance to us as customers. Bar staff held chats while holding drinks and customer and customers had to wait until that were finished and they fed each other pop corn with customers waiting. customers were a distraction to their own Sunday lunch gathering great to enjoy work but customers ultimately pay the wage and shouldn’t feel they are interrupting - as a by the way rustic chips are actually just bog standard chips, food was almost thrown at table by silent server - needless to say wont be back when Ruddington has so many great pubs

Fantastic pub with an excellent selection of drinks. Nice atmosphere with fantastic food. It also has plenty of regular entertainment and there is a beer garden outside. Allows dogs inside and in the beer garden and the staff are all friendly and attentive.

Good selection of beers and good for a drink in the evening, not always the friendliest staff

I love the Framebreakers. Superb beer. Great staff. Terrific ambience.Problem is that dog owners think it’s Crufts. Dogs milling around, sitting on seats, snouts on tables, sniffing out food with owners oblivious to what’s going on. Fed up with it. I’d like a great pint without this canine fest.

Came here with a friend, proper food proper beer at really good prices! I had a epa from nottingham brewery that was tasting fantastic but the lamb burger was out of this world can't wait to try the other things, props to the chefs!

Favourite pub in the village. Great selection of beers, fantastic atmosphere, often it's so busy on a Friday that I can't get in! Food is top notch for pub grub (especially the pies!)

First time at the Frame Breakers. Great meal tonight, food was 10/10 we had starters of chicken strips, belly pork strips, mains steak & ale pie, scampi, puds sticky toffee, all fabulous and tasty. Compliments to the chef.

Had a really delightful steak here last week. Cooked to perfection and clearly straight off the grill. Thoroughly recommend

Went yesterday the bar was deserted with no one around a member of staff finally acknowledged us… we had 2 fish and chips and 2 steak and ale pies.. took ages for any service and for food to come, sadly no one asked how the food was or asked if we needed another drink! When we left our dirty plates were still in front of us … not cleared, felt totally abandoned my dad is 93 no consideration given, I’m sorry for the poor review but it is what it was.

Great atmosphere, great good and exemplary service. We arrived as they opened with our dog (large breed) and staff were welcoming and friendly. We ordered x2 all day breakfasts and coffees. Particularly impressed by the supplied dog bowls for water and the doggie dinner (meat, rice, gravy, peas and veg) On site parking for customers is handy. 5/5 I'd visit again and bring my dog :-)

Absolutely amazing Sunday roast ! The portions are great, and you could get 2 course of £20 The beef was just pink and tasty, with no fat and The pork belly was perfect, great crackling

Went here for a party. Very hot and seats not very comfortable. Artist was good staff friendly and helpful. Buffet with finger food was one of the best I've had and unbelievable amounts of it were put out. I wasn't keen on the beer personally but others loved it. EDIT: Further to the managers reply to my review let me explain the 3 stars. I complimented some aspects of your operation but in general gave an average rating for what I considered to be overall an average pub. With regard to your sarcastic comments regarding my attire, which you cannot possibly have seen or remembered. I wore a T shirt and Jean's, no jacket. Hardly arctic gear but not the swimsuit that I might have needed. Perhaps the warmth might have been the result of you restricting airflow when blocking the door by putting the artists there. You know the one, its shown on your website with the green Emergency Exit sign above it. Given a fire we might all have been considerably hotter before we escaped !

Good boozer in the middle of the village, always busy with a good atmosphere. Beer is well kept and the selection is pretty wide to suit everyone. Good outdoor space with plenty of tables, ok for watching sport. Landlord is a legend!! 😉

Great little pub lots of beers nice food.

Nice pub in Ruddington, my favourite in the village as it serves good drinks & food ( inc vegan options) It's not pretentious and it's not rough, it's just right! Big outdoors seating area makes it perfect for sitting out in the sun. Occasionally hosts cider/beer festivals and live music.

Better now thay have expanded their selection of ales beyond Nottingham Brewery

Great local pub, with a large outdoor area full of tables, dogs and plenty of sun! Such a wide array of beers on tap, bottled or kegged, served by some friendly and welcoming staff!

Great atmosphere friday late afternoon families eating food and had a real village hub feel to it and the food was spot on We had 2 wraps and a burger with fries and 3 drinks came to 43quid bargain filled us up spot on will definitely come back

We looked for somewhere we could meet with our dogs. called in for the market day breakfast that they do on a Saturday.. Made very welcome. Staff friendly and helpful. Good selection of food and although they were busy it was brought out quickly. The landlord made the dogs welcome and even bought treats out fir them.

Great pub SCARY prices for spirits.....which is the only reason I won't go back and will dissuade friends from doing so. Deals on double spirits would make SUCH a difference. Great shame. I accept that price isn't everything and I never seek out the cheapest. But there comes a point when "overpriced" gives way to "rip off" and thats when I say.. "Never again"

Great pub! Nice variety of tasty food. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating when we recently dropped in with a group of 14! Dave and their team took excellent care of us. Food came out promptly and hot and delicious. Sadly, I wasn't able to sample any of their wide selection of beers! Perhaps next time!

The pub accommodated my large group (14) for lunch with same day notice. There was wide range of food options to accommodate all the different folks in my party. The staff was incredibly kind and wonderful. The food was very good and the portions were quite hearty! The atmosphere was nice and only a short walk from the Framework Knitters Museum. Do yourself a favor and make a visit to both places!

Stopped here for a drink and some food having never been in before. Friendly atmosphere and pretty busy for a Tuesday night. Food was tasty and there was a good choice of beers. A dog friendly pub too which gives us somewhere new to bring the pooch at some point.

Good selection of fine local beers. Staff friendly and welcoming. We were a large group all ordering food and along with other patrons also there to eat I think we managed to temporarily overwhelm the kitchen. This resulted in some meals being delayed and 1 or 2 having the quality compromised. Overall the food was good with generous portions. Would definitely visit again.

Ten of us went for a meal and although there were only two staff front of house service was great.all meals were lovely.will definitely go again

Very pleasant pub with a fine selection of ales. The interior is interesting and somewhat cosy with little areas away from the busy areas if you fancy a quiet time.

Poor bar service, Been in twice now into frame breakers and been ignored by bar staff , it was different when covid was here , they couldn’t wait to serve you , now it’s a waste of time .

Booked in for Sunday lunch for someone's birthday with seven of us. Warm welcome, good range of beers but disappointingly no Sunday roasts which they have decided to stop. So had to choose from pizza, burgers and pork or steak sandwich and chips. We all enjoyed but not quite what we expected when we booked on line for Sunday lunch
