We went to their French Food tasting evening and it was very enjoyable.

Despite living in Cotgrave I haven’t been to the manvers for a long time due to bad experiences with the food served by the previous owners. So pleased we went today as completely different experience. Food was excellent we had the toasties 2 for a tenner, and they were superb. Service was spot on aswell so definitely will be back and can highly recommend.

We booked a table last Thursday for 8 of us to celebrate my Mums life and we were given the best service you could wish for. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff joined in with our terrible sense of humour. Food was delicious and we kept ordering little bits over 4/5 hours we were there and the kitchen kept on producing without a moan. Drinks flowed effortlessly so I want to just say thank you for hosting the perfect evening.

We went today for lunch...wow! Best Sunday lunch out ever! Food was piping hot, vegetables cooked to perfection, yourkshires amazing, beef lovely. The gravy was really tasty and not the normal tasteless gravy you get elsewhere. We had a pudding too, which was also lovely. Would highly recommended and will definitely be going again👌

Fabulous atmosphere, great food and service. We were looking for somewhere to eat on a Monday lunchtime (lots of places were closed) with three children and two adults. All staff were incredibly accommodating and interactive with the children, even providing special cutlery for a toddler. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked through the door. Food was delicious and reasonably priced, we will definitely be back again!

Enjoyed a fantastic afternoon watching England thrash the Taff's at rugby. Great atmosphere and chip butties were a welcome treat from our generous landlady at half time. (Thanks a bunch Karen). In the words of our local oracle Woody, "Unbelievable ...... " "Swing low....."

Wow! Service and knowledge of the staff was above and beyond. We attended the Healthy choice menu event that had been advertised as that. The pub had a couple of new members of staff on this night and they were very informative extremely helpful and if they did not have an answer they went to find it from someone that did know. The food was amazing very tasty and the menu was very informative. Thank you for a fabulous evening dinner.

We booked a table for five. We had the healthy option menu there was another menu but staff were eager for us to try out the new menu and persuaded us to have that. I choose smoke haddock fishcake quite tasteless. Followed by steak Rare my steak was almost well done. It went back to be replaced by a really lovely steak beit a tad small. The potatoes were not the best had gone to water and soggy. I had Vegan pudding of cheesecake very nice indeed best course of the night. The young girl assured me it was diary free. Although the same girl got my steak wrong. When it came to paying that was a complete mess up my card kept getting refused. So we moved to front of restaurant incase of signal problems tried two units still problems. Turned out they do not accept AMEX.I feel that the staff were very young and inexperienced and didn't know what they were doing. This error should have been picked up before I tried to insert my card. We would go back but not the healthy option it was tasteless.

excellent food, Lovely Sunday Dinner and they also provide a nice range of meals in the week. All freshly cooked. Great service and friendly staff. We visit this pub on a regular basis although we are not local and would highly recommend. Well worth a visit.

This is a fabulous pub set in a great, easy to reach location! It is family friendly and really good to watch sports with the kids. The bar staff are very friendly and welcoming and there is a good selection of beers and wines. There is also a brilliant gin menu. There is a decent car park at the back. I'm looking forward to checking out the food menu soon!

Booked last minute on Wednesday 6th, good food, fantastic service from Chloe, will go again if ever in the area in future.

I really like this place. It's just hearty and wholesome food, no frills, no farty nonsense. Just good scran. The staff are consistently friendly and clearly know what they're doing. The atmosphere is a little bit like being in your aunt's house, a chill vibe. I went out for a vape and the waitress came out to me to tell me my food was on the table. Love that. There was three of us, we all had a main meal, shared two desserts between us, had a drink each and a coffee each = £50! Tidy!

Fantastic pub, went in for drinks with some friends on Friday night around half 9. Three very friendly, smiley bar staff who were all very knowledgeable about the drinks they serve and were kind and interested in talking to us. The girl with the colourful hair was particularly kind as she served us the most and seemed genuinely interested in talking to us while serving us. definitely recommend this pub

On Friday nights, the do fish and chips as 2 for £12 or 2 for £20 - we had the £12 option and it was more than enough food! Cheaper than local chippy, tasted better than local chippy and we got to go out! Dog friendly and quick service.

Great value food, good service and free live music what more can you want. Long live the local pub.

Excellent value for money, prompt service and excellent food. 3 adults and a child Thursday lunchtime. I had ham egg and chips followed by the Belgium sugar waffle. Lovely and nothing else to eat for the rest of the day. Nice staff.

Popped in this evening for late food and they managed to find us a table. Service excellent and the pie of the day was fantastic - one of the best home made pies we've ever had. Will definitely return..

Excellent food but would prefer it served on a plate! Served on a too small wooden tray, with a green paper napkin (which became soggy and very Lettuce like!) Service was slow due to being very short staffed in the kitchen. All staff was very pleasant though.

A large party of us went for lunch today. Food was delicious and staff were very friendly and accommodating of us all, including the dogs. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back

Super friendly staff and a great choice of beer. Some home made sausage rolls went down a treat as a tasty snack with our pints. Not tried the food yet as the pub isn't local to where we live and only visit after a shoot at a local ground, which is a shame as it has a great atmosphere and would go more if it was closer

A fantastic pub in the centre of Cotgrave. A gin bar to die for, friendly and efficient service and very good food. We were looked after so well at a recent get together after a funeral. There is a good car park and an area for the kids to have a kick about to let off a bit of steam. We loved it and highly recommend it.

First visit today. The Sunday roast was 10/10. Will be back.

Visited here this evening for the pub quiz for the first time. A very lovely atmosphere in a really nice village pub. We were made to feel very welcome as a new group of quizzers by fellow teams and Ian, who was a great quizmaster and came to us at the end to ask us if we had a good time. We’ll definitely be back to take part again soon! Thank you for a great evening.

Lovely little village pub, was really busy with a nice selection of different people, families , groups of friends, people of way home from work etc. Lovely and friendly atmosphere. Only went into the bar area as had my dog with me but seemed nice.

Delightful pub/restaurant. Friendly and attentive staff. Food was hot, served timely and nice. A larger burger menu, and most items you’d expect on a pub menu. The very pleasant surprise we’re the sharing boards, which were tasty, plentiful and with a group makes a great starter. Food was reasonably priced.

Very friendly staff, warm welcoming pub and an excellent Sunday roast for all the family. Would highly recommend to anyone. Definitely the best Sunday roast I've had for several years while dining out.

Hadn't been here in some years, loved what they have done with the place. Now its December and we've just done a Christmas market there. Well organized and we was well looked after. Mangers arms is lovely place to come.

Very nice pub. Went here for food and a beer after a long walk with the dog in Cotgrave Country Park. Friendly staff and good food. Dog got a bowl of fresh water. Plenty of tables and the atmosphere is great.

With relatives visiting today (Monday) we chose The Manvers Arms for a quick lunch. So pleased we did as the experience was excellent. 'Their' choice of Manvers Arms burger + a Halloumi & Fungi burger (veggie option) and mine of (hand battered) Haddock & Chips were all perfectly cooked. Portions were generous and well presented. The Restaurant was clean, comfortable & cheerful; all glassware, crockery & cutlery were sparklingly clean. The young guy who served us was excellent - diligent and courteous. A huge 'thumbs up' from 3 contented diners.

Had a lovely meal with my family at The Manvers Arms. The staff were all friendly, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. Will definitely go back and recommend to everyone.

I was very surprised at this pub, doesn't look much from the outside, but inside it was very nice indeed and has a great garden at the back. Only went in for a drink on this occasion but would love to go back and try the food, so next time we are in the area will definitely be giving the food a try

Great value Sunday Lunch. Loads of beef, veg and the cauliflower cheese! We didn’t eat it all, but we gave it our best shot and I’m sure others would manage. Drinks a reasonable price too. I love the option of a Sunday roast ciabatta as an alternative. Service was friendly.

Went here for my birthday, first time of visiting and loved it. Was a lovely sunny day and was able to sit in the ample beer garden, prices reasonable, good choice of beers with friendly staff and customers. Give it a try, we'll worth a pint or two

I go the Manvers Arms quite often. I have never been disappointed with the service. Drinks are reasonably priced and food is always top quality. The staff are very pleasant and always look happy to be at work. It’s worth visiting their quiz night which runs every two weeks on a Sunday. It’s always a laugh and a great get together!

Stopped off for a pub lunch randomly & so glad we did. Our hostess, Cat, was lovely & attentive, & the food was delicious. Great atmosphere, lots of parking & a killer gin selection.

We come here quite often & today was fantastic, great food cooked just right, servers were fantastic, very friendly, couldn't do enough for us We came on mother's day & we couldn't fault the food & service & the little extra touch with a complimentary biscuit with mum iced on it. We are regular diners at The Manvers Arms on a Sunday and we take for granted the delivery of the perfect service and food and thought it was appropriate to leave a review to show our appreciation to all the teams dedication and hard work...

I'll start with the positives. The interaction I had on Facebook to book a table, and then change the booking, was very positive. The two young waitresses who served us were great. The pub is shabby with rubbish and cigarette butts scattered outside the door...

Stumbled upon this gem whilst on a bike ride. Sunny but windy day so decided to eat inside. Kath/Cath greeted us very warmly and showed us where we could safely lock our bikes and then she placed our wine right next to the roaring fire!...

Food did taste nice, however when there is 7 people dinning and you only get 6 pieces of cauliflower cheese and 1 bowl of veg to share between you it made for a small meal also the waiting on staff constantly harassing you asking you if you meal is OK and do you want any more drinks. I don't think it was worth the price we paid, so I won't be returning. Sorry for the harsh comment, but you may learn something from it. Just leave people alone to eat their meal.
