Great food a lovely place to go

Really great food, great service, owner was lovely. Food came out quickly, was nice and hot and tasted great. Only thing would be difficult to cut pizza without a sharp knife but more my fault for not asking.

Local restaurant/ bar. Always great food and pleasant service .

Really nice food, called in for lunch, the two of us had the Italian meats board, was enough for us both for lunch. Slight bit of advice, if they read this, promote that you do coffee more, signs outside etc, people will come in just for a coffee is you knew you could do that, I believe it was just somewhere to eat. If you did have signs then they don’t work, because i didn’t see them. But really enjoyed it and will come again

Just discovered this great pizza place in the middle of Cotgrave. It's a gem, you would expect to find this level of pizza restaurant in the middle of a big city, so to find it in Cotgrave is amazing. Real pizzas from their wood fired oven taste really good. The place has a good vibe, ideal to wait for your pizza takeaway with a glass of wine or beer.

Just had lunch, pizzas amazing, lovely spacious place with great seating and ambiance.

Absolute gem of a place - superb fresh pizza and really nice vibe.

Great open space with lots of seating indoors and outside. The service was friendly, however a bit slow on the day we visited. Thankfully the food came out quickly and they even served the little ones first which was great. The pizzas were delicious! I also recommend the burrata and tomato salad. The location is good it you have kids because they can just go outside to the park right next door to the restaurant while you have a drink or nibble. They have a great selection of food on their menu from pizzas to tapas and a few Italian main meals + salads. Big portions of pizzas for the kids. I highly recommend if your in the area, but just keep in mind it's a more easy going pace of service, however your drinks can be ordered directly at their bar.

We really enjoyed our visit on Friday evening. Lovely looking place with an impressive pizza oven. My Calzone in particular was huge and all of our group enjoyed their meals. Good choice of drinks including Neck Oil on tap! There was however a minor negative: Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming however once the drink and food orders had been taken it was incredibly difficult to get anyone's attention for further drinks. After several failed attempts from the table, I resorted to going to the bar mid-meal and being stuck in a queue behind a Deliveroo driver collecting a delivery to get service. There appears to be only one member of bar staff pouring drinks for both table orders and drinkers stood around the bar which causes all the servers to congregate around the bar area waiting for a tray of drinks to be prepared. The service was generally pretty slow, not all the meals came out at the same time which isn't ideal although a couple of items were removed from the bill, (not at our request) to compensate which was unexpected and generous. Nobody came to ask if we wanted a coffee or dessert to finish? We had a really nice night overall though and look forward to visiting again.

I thought my photos would be enough to explain my experience ... but they are not! Strezza wood fired is AWESOME... Great accommodation for the customers requirements... pizza was delicious ... drinks were fab... and the lavs have the most devine smelling hand-wash.... can't fault in any way.... they had anchovies for my Mums pizza ... they made our evening ...thanks ...we will be back... also as a subnote... I've been around this area for 2 years and had no idea this place existed... is it new? Anyway... loved it ❤🙌❤

A fantastic place to eat with really nice surroundings and decor. Food was really good and the pizzas looked amazing even though I had the prawn chilli tagliatelle which was superb. Good range of drinks options as well. Would highly recommended.

The pizzas here are excellent, especially the bread in the base and the authentic wood fired pizza oven taste. Staff are friendly and helpful and have been pleased to accommodate us whether we bring a dog or a birthday cake. Highly recommended.

HONEST REVIEW: The restaurant is VERY COLD 🥶 it makes you feel like you want to leave it’s that’s cold. The waitresses look very very bored and we went when it was not busy and the food took forever. The food is AVERAGE. It is not special. The pizzas are the best thing about this place. They need to really sort it out it could be so good

So my wife and I regularly go here Whether that be in the day for coffee and a cake. Or evening for pizza, pasta and small dishes., We find it a comfortable and relaxing place to go eat, relax and watch the world go by. I have also watched live football here in the world cup and also have enjoyed getting their food to take away. I would highly recommend the sausage and mash small dish, the calzone and the meatball pasta.

Well what can I say, Strezza is the heart of the precinct. They’re so welcoming to our children with the park just being next door. The food is well cooked with a great selection. All the staff are great and really helpful. I would highly recommend Strezza for food or simply a few nice drinks. Thanks to rich and all the staff! Keep up the great work. Ben

Been here a few times in 2022 which offers brilliant food and very friendly staff but unfortunately the entire restaurant appears to be dominated by uncontrolled children that play musical chairs moving seating around, making lots of noise and coming in and out from the playground using facilities while the parents just sit and watch. The staff disappointingly didn’t assist in stopping the child riot which has ruined the experience more times than none unfortunately. May be best coming later in the evening to avoid the noise.

Nice to staff and it could be a great place but just doesn't quite things right. It's really cold inside and the pizzas are very light on toppings.

Did not eat here , popped in for a drink. Place was very cold , even the staff looked cold . Probaly would be better to visit in the summer

What can I say what an amazing place staff are really helpful and knowledgeable the food is amazing well cooked and they have a extensive selection on the menu including some amazing vegetarian and vegan options. Highly recommend a visit best booking though it’s a busy place.

Great place. We stop in every other weekend for a pizza and a drink. This place is an asset to Cotgrave, so if you live locally go in and support these guys. Staff are always welcoming and I'd love to see some sports on a big TV to pull in a crowd

Pizza not usually something I choose. Went on a Tuesday night when Pizza £8. Soo good been back twice more. Glass of wine also very good price. Will be back.

Not impressed. I asked for a calzone but of a topping which they normally serve as a pizza. This caused an immediate breakdown of communication with the mothership and the waitress started buffering. The manager came over and was just as confused. In the end they consulted with the chef and decided it was possible, but they’d charge me the fee for the ham and mushroom calzone. I can’t see why asking for any pizza to be converted to a calzone should cause so much consternation, nor cost an additional two pounds. All I am asking for, after all, is for the chef to FOLD IT IN HALF!! On the plus side, the mussels were a large portion for the price. The baked feta in sauce was disappointing. When I got my pizza, the meat was bland. My wife ordered the burrata pizza which was disappointing as well. She didn’t finish it. (It’s also only a quarter burrata as well, not a whole one!)

Amazing food, great service as always!

Lovely place with a great atmosphere. It was quiet when we went but we didn’t feel awkward. My partner and I shared 5 small plates and some tomato bread, gnocchi was gorgeous! My little girl had carbonara, which they kindly did a smaller portion of for her. She declared “it was like heaven”. Plates and some spoons for sharing the small plates would’ve been great, although I did ask for some plates and it was no trouble at all. Also perhaps a suggestion of how many serving plates per person, we could probably have managed another 1 or 2 but maybe it’s because we love our food! 😊 Overall a fab local place with great service and food! We will be making it a regular spot for us!

We visited Strezza last night and were very welcomed by staff and we had a lovely meal - I had a superb wood fired pizza and my husband has 4 tapas dishes and they were all lovely - service excellent and very nice atmosphere and staff very friendly would highly recommend and would visit regularly if we lived in that area

Good atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Good selection of drinks (Beavertown Neck oil on draught! And my wife said that the Pinot Grigio was very nice). The pizzas were great. My wife's brownie was a bit dry but otherwise a lovely meal.

I arrived at Strezza on a Friday night to have a few drinks after work. They wasn’t particularly busy to say it was a Friday night (it wasn’t busy at the time we had arrived anyway). We managed to order a drink as soon as we sat down. The other person I was with finished their cocktail relatively quickly (the cocktail sizes are very stingy for the price), I still had half of my drink left. It was quite clear that the other person I was with wanted to order another drink. They shouted ‘excuse me’ to get one waitresses attention, for her to look over and then completely ignore. A few moments later, they shouted another waitress for to then be blanked again. It was getting frustrating at this point as the waitresses we specifically shouted for kept tending to other tables instead of us. We then shouted another waitress, of course we got ignored again. To be quite honest, some of the waitresses seem unapproachable as they look absolutely miserable. It very much seemed like as we wasn’t ordering food and wasn’t spending as much money as what someone who was eating would be, they was almost fobbing us off. I may be wrong, but it very much seemed that way. It didn’t help that half the staff was stood behind the bar just chatting and not even taking notice as to what was happening around them. I don’t think I’ll be making an appearance at the restaurant any time soon. I suppose if you want ignorant service and no smiles, Strezza is the place to go.

Booked a table for 2 but were told to just pick any table when we arrived.We ordered a starter and a main but the mains came out first. I ordered the Carbonara which could be best described as egg soup with pasta, not good at all and disappointing that an Italian restaurant were unable to make one properly. The pizza faired a bit better so we ended up just sharing. The starter appeared half way through the main course. No apology given and the staff were functional at best. We won’t be returning any time soon. If you are desperate to go then I would just stick with a pizza and maybe stress that you’d prefer your starters to come out first if you fancy your chances.

The Strezza Staff did an excellent job tonight. We ate from the tapas style small plates menu. The food was great, and very reasonably priced. The chef was trying out new menu items and even offered us some to try on the house. I found the open fire from the pizza oven and the relaxed atmosphere really enjoyable. I brought the kids who loved it too. A great place to just have a drink or feed the family, we'll be back again soon. Strezza, well done.

Service was very slow. Food was nice and the kids menu was reasonably priced for what they got.

I'm a regular customer af Strezza. The staff are great and really accommodating - especially with children and people who have dietary specific requirements. Food is fantastic and I'm particularly found of the pizza. It is also a great place to pop in for a coffee and cake. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Food wasn’t good - chicken full of fat on pizza, chips stank like they’d been cooked in old fat - can tell it was cheap / low quality food. Drinks were nice but took ages to arrive.

I was happy with our first visit to Strezza. It’s a new restaurant, so there’s still plenty of room for improvement. We arrived at 7:30pm and this appeared to be peak time; the restaurant was full. After ordering, the drinks arrived within 20 minutes, the starters 15 minutes after and the side plates/mains 15 minutes later. We tried the bread & olives, arancini, stilton mushrooms, croquettes and two different pizzas. I thought these choices were really tasty, especially the olives & arancini. There was a healthy selection of Heineken products on tap as well; I enjoyed my Moretti. I was really happy with Elana and Matthew who were very attentive and did their best to serve everyone promptly. Strezza is a good restaurant with plenty of potential.

First time trying this place. Lovely food and good service. Cocktails packed a punch which is always a bonus. Will be back.

Arrived for a pre booked table got seated then 45 minutes later I had to try flag someone down to order drinks . Then another 30 mins again I had to Flag someone down to order food which I did to then get told half the very small menu was unavailable and food would be another 30 mins before they even started cooking , pizza arrived very much undercook definitely won’t be back

Visited for first time tonight and wasn’t impressed at all!! Table booked for 7pm for 4 people, had to wait 45 mins before we were even offered a drink and then had to ask the waitress! drinks served then had to wait a further 30 mins to take food order, food wasnt great either and very limited menu, ran out of lasagne in an Italian restaurant!! I definitely won’t be returning

A new venue in Cotgrave, I can se Strezza suiting some people, good atmosphere, comfortable surroundings, enjoyed the starter of bread with balsamic oil. Tapas selection of croquets, mushroom with Stilton and prawns was nice. The mains however were lacking flavour. The service was a little slow and it wasn't that busy, could they cope if ìt was? It's one for you to try but we won't again.

First time visiting Strezza was nice so we went back and it was even better second time. A family of 6, we were well looked after from start to finish. The food is delicious and the drinks, especially the cocktails made the experience even better. Well done Strezza, we will be back.

Food is bland! Basic tomato and greasy cheese for a margarita and edges very burnt! Lasagna is burnt around edges, from microwave! Asked for starters and came out with my main??? Mushroom with stilton! More like mushroom with breadcrumbs! No stilton! On being seated no drinks/beverage order was never asked! Waited 15 mins to even get asked! Waitress staff all stood at bar chatting regarding to whats happing amongst customers. Very disappointed in food and waitress! Restaurant very well presented, looks very inviting!

Staff were so inviting and attentive - the service was fantastic. It was my second time visiting, first time I had tapas - small plates and really tasty. We had pizza this time, it was BEAUTIFUL. Real mix between being child/dog friendly and a great place to meet for drinks. I also had a gorgeous flat white, so it’s great to know a good coffee stop is on my doorstep. On my 3rd visit I’ll definitely be sampling the cocktails. I highly recommend the visit and helping local businesses succeed!

Nice cocktails, really good pizza (the base was perfect) but I have to say the best Caesar salad I've ever had. Technically the best Caesar salad dressing I suppose. I had pizza with meatballs on - meatballs great quality and tasty in their own right.
