Barlow Woodseats Hall is an amazing wedding venue, offering a perfect mix of rustic charm and elegance. The countryside setting creates a stunning backdrop for photos, and the venue’s cozy yet spacious interiors make it ideal for weddings of all sizes. The staff are incredibly helpful, ensuring the day flows smoothly from start to finish. It’s definitely a hidden gem for couples looking for a picturesque and relaxed wedding venue!

A proper cosy local pub, not many of these about any more that haven’t been forced into doing food. Perfect place on a sunny day, and a great covered wooden outdoor seating area has been added since the last time I was there. Nice beer selection and crisps, what else do you need?

On entering we were met by the very friendly staff who took us to our table(booking in advance is a must). I chose the regular Steak, ale and mushroom pie which was served with mash, broccoli and carrots. The gravy I must say was delicious and complemented the meal perfectly. This portion of pie was huge and many guests around me doubted I'd finish it(I did!) I can thoroughly recommend a visit to this cafè with the friendly atmosphere and tasty fayre.

We visited on November 1st, 2024, and sadly, it was quite a disappointment. While the bar staff did their best, the kitchen service was very underwhelming. By 6:30 PM, they had already run out of the special main menu on the board! The food took a long time to arrive, and when it finally did, it was subpar. The steak & ale pie was more air than a hot air balloon and hardly had any meat. The crust was burnt and tasted like a heated-up frozen pie. The chips were clearly shop-bought oven chips. This was not the level of service we had experienced before. We left feeling quite disappointed. It seems the place is being sold, and I hope the new owners can bring back some quality!
