Stumbled across this place by accident as we explored off the beaten track. A new establishment with an abundance of home made goodies, cakes and treats. Everything from hot cooked meals, snacks, light bites with a very good selection of hot and cold drinks. The lovely owner was incredibly warm, friendly and accommodating as we were a large group and had both wheelchair and pushchair. Really worth the visit if you're in the area. I'll definitely be visiting next time I'm here.

Found this hidden gem and could not fault a thing. Staff were exceptional, so accommodating for 4 hungry slightly squiffy friends who needed carbs. The hardest decision was what to choose but it definitely did not disappoint. Excellent quality, so tasty, the only option was to loosen a button and clear your plate. Faultless, you won't be disappointed.

Hotel is in a good location, £3 for 24 hours parking. Plenty of parking apart from over the Easter weekend, was full of camper vans blocking the carpark. Check in was easy enough but the second day of our stay the check in queue was very long. All staff were nice and helpful. Rooms were abit tired, shower curtain was hanging off, bed was very squeaky and seemed like it had seen better days but I did have 2 good nights sleep.

Went in to have a go on an arcade machine I spotted through the window. Got accused of trying to use the toilet for free, explained what I was doing and got accused of lying. Bit of a strange one. Doesn’t exactly give a good impression of the business overall. Wouldn’t recommend going here if you like good customer service! 👎

When we pulled up on the car park my first impressions were a little negative and to be honest we turned the car around to drive off to some other generic pub for food. The outside of the Tavern looks a little dated but we decided to give the place a try in the end. I'm so glad we did! I ordered the rib eye steak and scampi. It was delicious! lovely tender steak and the chips were lovely and chunky, beautiful meal. My wife and son really enjoyed their food as well. Pudding was apple and rhubarb crumble with double cream, probably the best meal out I've had in a long time. Moral of the story is don't judge a book by its cover, this is a true hidden gem! Will definitely be going back!

The girl who was serving this evening wants a medal. She had a very awkward family of 5 in front of my partner & she kept her cool. She kept apologising for the long wait but that wasn’t a problem. She said she’d been called all sorts today, I’m sorry but there’s no need for it, be kind, they’re only doing their job!
