Olives in East Lindsey

Went to The Olive yesterday for a meal. I had the Pollo Vesuvio and my friend had the Margarita pizza. We were both very happy with our dishes and the service. Nice atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. Will definitely go again in the future.

Fabulous restaurant, great food, lovely staff, we all ordered something different everyone's food was spot on tasty and hot. We will be back. Thank you John & Byron.

The food was amazing they not short on porshon size didn't even have room for dessert well worth a visit.

Great little place, food was lovely and service was great, they were very busy when we went but we were still served and looked after quickly. Thought the food was a little bit expensive but not ridiculous. Overall fantastic.

Very friendly staff, good service, good food. Only criticism being there could do with being garlic bread as a side and maybe some desserts. Overall very lovely place and would recommend!

Food was poor and not worth the money. We waited an hour in between each course as well. Service staff were very lovely, however I can't say we'll be back again unfortunately.

On the up side? Friendly, cosy ambience and attentive staff. A good choice of dishes that were sensibly priced. Taken in conjunction with the friendliness and humour of the owner/host (to jog his memory we had a conversation about Hawaiian shirts) I can be measured about the down side. The overcooked stuffed peppers starter had a burnt surface for which the chef apologised saying it was not removed for fear of disturbing the remainder. Being burned meant however that the remainder had no texture and was more of a Bolognese in a bowl than anything else. I was served by a young member of staff for drinks and for the offer of ground pepper. Regrettably she was unable to remove the drinks from the serving tray herself, leaving me to do it for her, and neither was she able to use the pepper grinder. This was due to the gloriously pretty but completely impracticable nails she was sporting. If you are offered ground pepper in an Italian themed eatery would you expect to do it yourself? No, I thought not. One for me to revisit in due course and in the meantime I wish their business well.

What a fabulous restaurant. Saw the reviews and decided to try. We were lucky enough to get a table without booking and the service, food and hospitality was exceptional! Fantastic gent, front of house, who made us feel very welcome. If you’re in Skegness, pay this place a visit. You won’t be disappointed Five stars for us ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely Beautiful food, and the staff went above and beyond to take care of us

Me and the wife called in and managed to get a table, what a lovely place. The food was amazing, I had sirloin steak and it was a huge piece with hardly any fat and was cooked to perfection. The wife had lasagne and of course I stole a bit (who doesn't?) and again it was amazing, one of the best lasagne I have ever had! Would definitely recommend to any one to go! We will definitely be back again!

Update: We still really can't fault this lovely little restaurant. The service was excellent, the food was really tasty and fresh. Not over-seasoned or over-sweet. The atmosphere was welcoming and prices were very reasonable. Just been back for my birthday and had a wonderful time. Highly recommended 🤩

Lovely fresh food. Great atmosphere and the owner is a great host. We love this place. It's not massive inside so I would advise you book as it fills up fast. Reasonably priced and the food is always amazing.

4 of us had lovely meals here yesterday, my lasagna was beautiful

Excellent staff! Everyone was very kind and welcoming and the table service was great especially the young girl who served us. The floor service and overall atmosphere was fantastic and wasn’t too chaotic like most places would recommend 100%

What a amazing restaurant, service,food,staff/owners very welcoming,food piping hot and very fresh, would definitely recommend, prices very reasonable, definitely be going back,left a bottle of lemoncelo on table afterwards, perfect night ,thank you so much

Not the best night if I'm honest. We paid £16.50 for Chicken and ham in a garlic and cream sauce. We got this with little salad and frozen chips. Very over priced for the food. In my opinion. The young waitress was running round trying to deal with most tasks and looking flustered. The Atmosphere was choice and on some occasions personable. I have given a 3 star but only because the wine was nice and the building and decor was lovely. Would I return? Maybe but they need to rethink the prices of the mains.

Brilliant meal as always. First time on a Saturday night (usually do Friday night) . Very busy but we weren't rushed. John and Byron have a wonderful restaurant and lovely staff. Will be returning soon xx

Fantastic dinner and service everytime

What a gem. We were abit skeptical about bringing the kids here to eat but I'm glad we did, their hospitality was great we weren't made to feel unwelcome and the food was amazing, we all loved it. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area. Thanks again.

Great restaurant with amazing staff and good, consistent food. Menu attached as I couldn't find one anywhere else online.

We went to celebrate a family birthday. There were 4 of us. We had Cozze starter and Calamari. Both were lovely. The Cozze was huge and I would love this as a main meal. We had a mixture of Pizzas and pastas and all were delicious and good sized portions. The deserts were delicious also. Staff were friendly and it had a lovely atmosphere. We all said it is the best meal we have ever had in Skegness. Will definitely go again and would highly recommend. Thank you Olive!

I only discovered the Olive restaurant this year and since then I've been several times, friendly and relaxed place. Italian menu with a good choice, pizza's made fresh to order and the kitchen is open fronted so you can see the chefs hard at work.

There are several Italian restaurants in this area and by looking at the pictures and driving past this one looked lovely. We booked and when we arrived the front of house gentleman was very polite and seated us straight down. I can only describe the restaurant as a little Aladdin’s cave it was beautifully decorated and to be able to watch the chief cook our food was the icing on the cake. We had previously looked at the menu online and when we got there there was an updated menu with one of the dishes we wanted not on it. We asked if it was still possible to order it and he said no problem. The food was amazing and the service was excellent with a very friendly atmosphere, the portions were extremely generous and was even given a doggy bag to take our left overs home. Will definitely be going back when here again.

Went for partner's birthday and couldn't be any more friendly and amazing food John is a legend and looked after is very good even planning to come Christmas day dinner all the way from chesterfield just for the food and see ice highly recommended to anyone who loves Italian food! I had muscles to start with cheesey garlic bread my main were carbonara and I could of had seconds! Then for pudding I had proffita roles and drinks so can't wait to go again!

Lovely welcome, all staff very friendly and attentive. The food menu is well balanced, well cooked and seasoned. Beware the generous portions though! Heavenly desserts, fine wine, liqueur coffee...mmm can't wait to visit again.

Was looking for a place to eat on a Friday night and came across this restaurant ,went in and was given a warm friendly greeting and was shown to a table straight away. we had the Cozze and garlic bread for starters followed by Penne Pollo and Lasagna. there was a dessert menu but was to full to go for it. The food was freshly cooked and was lovely highly recommend going

A proper Italian restaurant. The owner and staff are fantastic and the food truly marvellous. For a wonderful eat in experience, dine here. If you have to stay at home, put in an order to takeaway. Gets better every time. 14-09-23, A splendid night and meal. Always some familiar faces.

Just popped in for a light bite, so we had starters only. Had stuffed pepper, which was absolutely delicious, but was like a main course size for me. If ever in Skegness would recommend this place, but would also advise booking if you are there during high season

Great place, a group of 10 people. Couldn't fault any of the dishes. Friendly and funny staff.

It's not the most gluten free friendly place but for Skeggy it's not bad.

Great food together with excellent personable service. The only downside I could comment on is the house wine is really not palatable. This needs to be addressed I feel but 10/10 for everything else.

OMG the best Italian food around, 1st visit there was 5 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere, 2nd visit there was just me, and again couldn't fault the food, service etc, 3rd visit was just dinner for me and a friend, once again delicious food, excellent service, now just waiting for my next visit there was so much on the menu to choose from makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

Food was ok, decent sized portions, good service apart from when we wanted to pay, waited a long time. The most disappointing part was the fake dried Parmesan cheese and the poor attempt of a s use salad with my main, also we ordered 2 garlic breads , we only got 1. It could’ve been much better with not much more effort.

We returned here 2 years after a one-off visit which had impressed us on a one night away nearby. Lovely buzzing place, fabulous friendly staff, slotted us in without booking on a very busy night. Delicious amazing food, fantastic service, generous portions, spotlessly clean. Can’t fault it and definitely returning on our next time away, sooner the better

For anyone visiting Skegness this is a must place to visit,,pay no attention to the exterior as the inside is more than welcoming,,,with friendly staff and a very personal service,, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED,,!!!!!

Visit every time we are on holiday and it never disappoints. Small menu but food is beautiful home made generous portions and great value. One of the best Italian restaurants in skegness, Antonio is a great guy, very welcoming and friendly, John also is amazing very chatty with a great sense of humour, the food here is so tasty you won't be disappointed, definitely worth a visit because you will go back again and again

Visited here last minute as we were let down by another restaurant. So glad we found this place, amazing food and very generous portions. Also excellent service by the staff.

Complete 5/5 meal. We were visiting from Scotland with friends. The food was hot, fresh & delicious and the staff super friendly! They accommodated us at short notice as a group of 7. No quibbles and made us feel very welcome. Honestly the best Italian I’ve had in a long time and undoubtedly the best restaurant in Skegness. We will return!!

Fab food & plenty, will return 😋

Having read the reviews we decided to eat here on the last night of our holiday, it certainly didn’t disappoint. My grandson had spaghetti Bolognaise but wasn’t really impressed, he thought it lacked the flavour he’s used to with his gran’s. My daughter had Arancini, my wife Bruschetta and I had Whitebait, all were very nice and good sized portions. Two of us had Penne Calabrese which was excellent and large portions, my wife had a pizza which was also very good. Overall it couldn’t be faulted with good service and reasonably priced.

We visited last night for the first time after a glowing recommendation from a family friend and thoroughly enjoyed it. Started with the antipasto to share. Then we both had the spaghetti carbonara each and both enjoyed it. The staff so friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere great.

Excellent. Food was lovely. Service was fabulous and very surprised when the bill arrived at how reasonable it was. We visit Skegness for a few days each year and can honestly say it is the nicest family meal we have had. Will definitely visit again. 100% recommend.

New to area and just found this wonderful Italian restaurant. Tasty food, friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, and reasonably priced too. Will definitely be eating hre again soon. ..... Back to Skeggy for a break, and this was the place we headed to eat. It's not changed. Tasty food, excellent service, fairly priced. Hope to go back again before the end of this holiday. My favourite place to eat here. Oh and the wonderful flamboyant waiter just adds to the restaurant's charm.

What a lovely little restaurant, wonderful service and superb food. I highly recommend the chocolate fudge cake for dessert if you can spare the room after the generous portions of starter and main beforehand. Antonio was very friendly and attentive and I will definitely be returning here when I am back in the area.

We visited The Olive a couple of hours ago and we were blown away by the food, it was absolutely delicious, we had 3 courses and each course was amazing, Antonio was a wonderful host very attentive and friendly and the price of the meal was more than reasonable. Thank you to all at The Olive for making our visit so special.

Good Italian food served by friendly staff in Skegness. We had the two special mains, which were very good and a great bottle of Italian red wine. Several of the other parties in the restaurant seemed to know each other and the staff well, suggesting lots of repeat business.

It's a bit expensive but the food and the service were nice.

great food, in relaxing venue, there are bigger ,more expensive venues in the area, but for value for money this is unbeatable. We eat here perhaps a few times a month and never had a bad experience.

Absolutely wonderful experience here. The food was delicious, the service fantastic, and it was genuinely one of the best meals we have eaten in years. We will definitely be returning next time we are in Skegness.

We booked a table of 7 for a birthday, we have never been here before but have always wanted to go. It was probably some of the best food I've ever had, unbelievable service so friendly, and made everyone feel welcome. Great atmosphere and great prices too, they all interacted with the children and we can't wait to book again! Special thanks to Neil for continuously making sure we had everything we needed!

Make sure not to criticize Antonio’s food, no matter how rubbish it was, he might fry you in his big pan. His motto I believe: eat and keep your mouth shut. He looked very nice, but once mentioned that there is a problem in the food, he turned into a monster! UNBELIEVABLE! He, very rudely, reminded us that he’s been in business for 40 years! Good for him but what is this to do with a terrible plate? We even ordered a plate of chips for the kids after that. we never got it! Angry Antonio! No word can explain how terrible was the experience. I don’t know how such a person with this nasty attitude can stay in such a business! SHAME ON YOU MAN! You ruined our night.

The staff we're very attentive & professional. Lovely restaurant but menu very limited. I'm afraid to say though the food was very bland. Portion size was amazing but again the flavours let the restaurant down. Will not be going again sorry.

We had an amazing evening in this restaurant tonight. The food was tasty, well cooked and plentiful. The atmosphere was welcoming and our host was charming. Would heartily recommend.

The best Italian we have ever had in the Skegness area. Went about 5years ago&10years ago+ as gone to Skegness and Ingoldmells for about 30years and have never found any better ones than that. The owner is Italian and most of the staff as well which I think makes the difference . It is only small but is always busy recommend booking in advance especially if going from tea time onwards

The authentic taste of Italy on your doorstep. Great atmosphere, great food and drinks, cheeky banter and very friendly team here. Treat yourself to a special meal it's well worth it
