Wide choice of dishes. All our choices were spiced nicely and well described in terms of the hotness. Meat moist, lamb tender (not mutton)!. Clean linen table cloths and napkins (not paper). Very comfortable chairs. Nice, clean, surroundings and pleasant (non intrusive) background music. Friendly service. Made to feel valued. Excellent quality of food and very good value. Will definitely go again. It was clear from talking to the manager that the restaurant was his passion, not just a job. Will definitely go again.

Great karaoke nite. Very friendly crowd. Real ales were spot on and made to feel very welcome. Well worth a visit. Heard Sunday carverys a smash so end to a great weekend

Lovely cute countryside pub. Very warm welcoming. Really nice vibe. Live singer in the evening, everyone was so warm and friendly when we arrived. Lunch was great too. Rick and Sophie owners have created an amazing friendly and inviting pub for everyone

Nice old fashioned coaching inn under new ownership, offering Mitchelin quality food, but with limited menu options, of four items per course. Room was OK although the bathroom was a little small. Plenty of parking. Must say the service and friendliness of the staff was exemplary and made our stay.

Lovely pub, great location after a long walk. Had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch with friends. Food delicious and generous portions, really enjoyed the fresh veggies. Would highly recommend.

We reserved a table for after our group walk. The drinks were refreshing and the food delicious. I would return without hesitation!

Use this place a lot but with the refurbishment comes poor food at high prices. I had a cheese toastie which consisted of two slices of thin bread and a bit of bland cheese as a filling. Nothing else, not even a lettuce leaf and it cost £6.90! The latte was too strong, and spilt down the sides of the cup when being prepared. Disgusted!,

Good food, friendly service, nice atmosphere. Everything you'd want from a pub. Would definitely go back if we were in the area. Steak was great and so was the fish.

Came on a busy Saturday for lunch. Seated immediately. Great service from Alison. Food well presented and tasty. One best mushroom oatcakes I've ever had.
