We love the Shalimar that much. We took our friends over Christmas, it took 1 hour 25 to get there, service, food absolutely FAB U LOUS.

4-plus rating. I had the butterfly chicken, my wife had the cod. She was happy with her meal, I was very happy. The blue cheese sauce on the chicken (and on the side, for the chips) was top-notch. Strongly recommended.

Called in with 2 friends whilst walking for a spot of lunch and a couple of beers. Lovely food great pint of Bass but you never brought me the £5 you owed me in change and I forgot before we left. School boy error. Might have to call again!

Absolutely fantastic! The food was amazing, the ambience, service, surroundings, staff were all incredible. Special thanks to Laura Ball - Front of House Operations Manager whom went above and beyond to accommodate the group of 8 that I was organising. Your patience in accommodating some of the less easier to please members of my party was amazing. You are truly the sole reason I persisted in booking - thank you. Our experience was very well worth the fuss, all 8 of my party were amazed at the quality of everything. 4 of my party stayed with you, myself and another 3 stayed elsewhere. This will become a regular event for us, we all enjoyed it so much!

Thank you for looking after us so well. The food was delicious and your pub is lovely. You should bar the grumpy old weird looking local man who deadeyes children for making any noise but let’s not let that spoil a fantastic experience.

I'm very happy with the update. It's very spacious and nicely decorated. Most importantly there isn't just one vegan option, there are a few. Whatever you do, please don't change that. Could do with soy milk and De caf tea though. Nice little cafe for something to eat while out shopping. Will keep using as long as your vegan menu doesn't change.

The service was exceptional Michelle our server took our order swiftly and it didn't take long to come out either my sirloin steak was delicious and succulent my father enjoyed the ribeye which he also enjoyed we then had coffees as we were so full we couldn't manage a dessert unfortunately as we had decided or not putting people were gonna have. We will be back in January to use our £10 voucher

We were looking forward to finishing our trip to Derbyshire with a lovely breakfast at Chatsworth kitchen. We normally go to the farm shop cafe. We were so disappointed the cafe was cold staff were welcoming to be fair The eggs Benedict didn’t seem warm . Our server told us that it is served with cold sauce and that’s why . It’s one of my favourites and I’ve never had it served with a cold sauce so beware. Very little ham and didn’t seem very fresh. Sadly trading on the Chatsworth name and not the quality we expect for the price . Would return to farm shop cafe in future just up the road .
