The best restaurants in Witham Boston East Midlands

Had a few fish & chips meals here since Sam had gone. Doesn't smell or taste the same anymore since I first had it in 1969, but still, if you want fish & chips, it's no worse than others. However, this time, I can taste a bit of rancidity, never happened when Sam was in charge. Maybe I went just before changing the oil. Bad luck on my part.

Staff are always so friendly and welcoming upon your arrival and are always prompt on taking your order. Such a large menu and so much to choose from but I had the churches breakfast and added black pudding. Couldn’t fault it. It filled me up and the prices are extremely reasonable for the value. Quiet and cosy atmosphere. Perfect for a chit chat and catch up over a spot of lunch. Me and Mum had a lovely time.

Mean-spirited, unsmiling service (if you can call it that). Only obvious motivation: cash extraction. Poor quality.

Went for lunch .Ordered a mushroom pizza .Barman was really helpful throughout our visit and told us about their deals available ...The mushroom pizza was well presented and tasted delicious .Will definitely be going back .

Have been visiting this place for half a century now, and witnessed its ups and downs. It's a rare survivor, but not in the best of health at present, andnow without any real idea of who its customers are. Beer still good though.

Best fish and chips. Friendly helpful staff. Never been disappointed. Popular with locals. See same faces time and again. That speaks for itself

The food is okay. It comes hot. The restaurant can very untidy and the tables can take a long time to be cleaned. The toilets are of average hygiene. The food is ready very fast.

Awful place. Went in with a friend, sat at the bar talking and the owner came over and tried to pick an argument, he brought over a fat guy that looked like sloth from the goonies and tried to escalate the situation so we left. We should have read the reviews before going. Dirty pub, very unwelcoming. "A local pub for local people".
