The best restaurants in Tibshelf Bolsover East Midlands

If I could put 0 stars I would. We ordered from here on Sunday, it took nearly 3 hours for our food to arrive this was after phoning up 3 times for updates. It magically appeared after I asked for a refund and to cancel the order, obviously by this point our food was cold so I contacted food hub they did try to help however because I ordered from the official website they couldn't provide a refund. The manager was ment to contact me, no shock that it didn't happen what a joke of a takeaway don't waste your time or money folks.

We had friends visiting and wanted to take them somewhere with great food. We booked a table for 7.30pm and upon arrival were told the table wasn’t ready so we took a seat in the bar to wait. After 15 minutes we were taken to our table. To cut a long story short we were provided with poppadoms as a starter after around 30 minutes and had to wait until 9.30pm (2 hours after arriving) before the main course arrived. By this point we were fed up with waiting and our friends couldn’t eat their mains as it was too late into the evening. So we ended up leaving after a two hour visit where we had just 2 poppadoms each and a doggy bag. The experience ruined what should have been a great night out with close friends. Disappointing as the food really is excellent if you can actually get it.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere. The owner and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is top class and great priced. Beer is very good priced. 5* would rate it higher if possible. Worth a visit to this wonderful pub! Thank you Costin & team for your hospitality

The lady named "go" as she said has a very bad attitude. Not smiling at all. What an attitude. Terrible service. She even asked us to handover the plates and glasses on the table for her. Worst scenario is she asked us to leave at about 10 pm as they're to be closed by 10.30 pm. This is the first restaurant a member of staff said something like this. She's normally at the bar in the front. She was able to destroy our whole mood. Terrible hospitality. On the reviews many have complained about this lady.

Great village pub! Very well refurbished inside and out, a welcoming atmosphere and quick service! A true asset to Tibshelf.

If you still remember the 80s, then step back in time to Tibby chippy for a totally authentic period chippy experience.

WOW Absolutely Amazing Food & Service. We had a selection of different starters and 4 main dishes. The food was absolutely amazing just perfect cooked to perfection. Couldn’t fault anything everything arrived in a timely manner thr atmosphere was amazing children loved it too. Would definitely recommend!

Dog allowed but normal table taken over by books and no seats. So are dogs really welcome? Very poor

Boring options compared to other countries

Being vegetarian I am careful about where I eat, as some places the food is not very nice, but I love the mcplant burger here. It's really tasty and thoroughly enjoyable 😉

Ordered online was given a timescale for order called after it was late told it'll be with you in ten , it wasn't called again and was told "so it's over half an hour late we're busy you'll not die". Cancelled the order and was told they " didn't need customers like me anyway. Food eventually turned up nearly an hour late . Obviously didn't attend the customer service course

Having frequented several drinking joints on my time on this earth I have never witnessed the shear pleasure of Katie the barmaid. Her knowedge of drinks, and pleasant conversation was refreshingly pleasurably. I will certainly be back soon to see her lovely smile! Keep up the good work! A credit to the establishment

Pasta bar offering quick hot freshly made pasta to curb your hunger on the way. Healthier than other fast food joints on the services for sure! What more could you want?!
