Roadchef Tibshelf M1 Northbound in Bolsover

Stopped off at Tibshelf South Services for a quick drink after a long drive. The staff were very friendly and polite ☺️

Great place for truck parking, hygiene at an enviable level, friendly staff, nearby (about 400m) there is a local market with affordable prices and very friendly staff

Very good services, and building a new super EV charging stations I hear.

My go to parking spot. Nice clean toilets and showers, McDonald's for tea👍👍

6.30 am. Ladies toilets not serviced or cleaned. Broken locks. Not a pleasant experience.

A small services on the M1 N. Costas coffee was good and hot, the pastry was fresh! There's also a WH smiths, macdonalds and a couple of other take away places.

One EV charger in the whole of the northbound services. Woeful.

Visited the other day, popped in for food on my way travelling. Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Workers are always happy and a joy to talk to, although the hot food stand is out dated and the same old pastry needs a change . The hot dogs used to be very good !!!

Great venue to visit excellent staff and hot and cold food served north has a kiddie play area so parents can sit in a dinning area relaxing south has big seating area and all staff are nice and welcoming

Quick and easy pit stop not too busy but be aware the disabled toilets use a key. Which is stupid who has a key for motorway toilets.

Only two electric car chargers, so we had to keep going to next services :(

Thank you to the Shell garage for being open on Christmas Day. It took the stress off our journey especially when we needed a loo break and air for the car tyres!!

Had a lovely full English breakfast, it was all freshly cooked to perfection, best breakfast we've had in a long time & @ a reasonably good price too. Not what we expected from a motorway services, the staff were very friendly & polite.Highly recommend. 5+ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tibshelf northbound services is a clean, tidy and one of the best places to grab a Costa, grab something from Spar , WHSmith and even a typical independent mobile phone store. Toilets are clean, adequate seating but struggles a little in busy periods. Currently there are road works in the car park which makes navigating a little difficult.

Good for a short break after long drive

Loved it, will be even better when current updates complete on site.

Locked My Keys in the Car This Afternoon with my Dogs inside I went into the Smiths Shop and explained that Our Phones Were in the car. We had no chance of getting access to anything. The Duty Manager and Assistant came to the Rescue reported it to the Police and Arranged for the AA to come to our Rescue Mandy went above and Beyond she is a credit to Tibshelf Services We would like to Thank Mandy for all the help even waiting with us until the Keys were Recovered Thank You Mandy

Me and my partner stayed for over 7 weeks the staff are friendly and helpful they are kind and caring polite we could've easily been turned away after such a long stay but we're kind enough to let us stay til refurb so thank you and see you all soon from Emma and Steven room 24 and the cats and kittens loved it also so again thank you and see you soon when it's up and running again

Good place to visit and stop for energy boost on your long journeys even the location has a kids play area to keeps kids entertained and lovely staff

We stopped by for a bite to eat as I had missed the service station before that one! So we were really hungry and we went to Costa and were very pleased with what we had!

Very clean toilets, sadly as usual the WHSmith is the only store open at 3am, and their prices are nothing short of predatory.

It's OK, but let's face it this a motorway service area so isn't ever going to be 5 star largely due to the inflated prices

We're selling poppies here and the staff have been brilliant, helping us setup, checking up on us making sure we have everything we need. Can't thank them enough

First time visited but must admit not too bad. Lots of seating and choices for food and drink.

Filthy tables, overflowing bins, and most stores shut by 7pm on a Saturday - very poor.

I travel up the M1 regularly on Saturdays and always stop at Tibshelf on my way to Leeds. The bacon and egg bap at the Fresh Food cafe is one of the best I have ever had and a recommended choice. The ladies serving are friendly and helpful and always get me some well done bacon - just how I like it! A great service area for a 30 minute stop - well done.

Good luck getting anything decent to eat at night. Everything is closed.

Hovel, nothing open and toilets were full of flies in late October!

Very clean and tidy services with great access. Good selection of food outlets. Ample parking and if people park 'properly' then plenty of room. Im a truck driver so, an added bonus is the truck wash. Good easy access to HGV fuel pumps as well.

Called in for a break on our way south

Rubbish. Went in for a coffee… everywhere that sells it was closed by 11pm. What even is that? If you are on the road at night, don’t bother.

Showers are the worst I've seen in the uk and wh smiths wants your keys as deposit.

Motorway service station. Containing Shops and various eateries.

Everything was closed except WHS. Only coffee that was available is the Costa machine, which is one the worst coffee that I had.

Main building is fine. But like most services nowhere near enough hgv parking. If after 5pm don't bother its rammed.

Nice polite staff and welcoming

We travel on the M1 each day and call for coffee at Tibshelf north most mornings. This is a busy and thriving services which is very busy at times. The shops are very clean, well stocked and attractive. All 3 food outlets are clean and inviting, giving a good choice of options/price for all pockets. General public areas are constantly being attended to by the staff, who work hard for the public (an unseen, unacknowledged, committed group of staff). This level of service is consistently maintained. Staff are welcoming and kind, especially to those customers with additional needs. Well done everyone.

Stopped for a break and a coffee. Good selection of shops for food and drink. Clean and tidy.

Not easy to access what you need when you come off the motorway.

Impeccably clean place and brand new showers in which the cleaning staff seem particular proud of and invested in keeping immaculate.

A fairly typical soulless dishevelled motorway services. Useful if you need the toilet!...but that's about all

Popped in here for a quick pint stop. Everything was in good order. Parking was easy in a minibus, right outside the door which was a bonus.

We had a McDonalds at these services. The seating area wasn’t cleaned in the 2 hours we were there. My 10 year old tried to redeem a McFlurry voucher with the staff but they refused him as he wasn’t 18 even though I was sat 4m away looking at them with him pointing me out. We got the McFlurry after I got up and put the voucher on the counter myself. All a bit pedantic for me.

An extremely terrible parking lot, excessively high prices that have nothing to do with reality, and the asphalt craters in the truck parking lot make me think of the medieval era. I don't see any intention to rectify the surface in the parking lot even though the transport companies pay for the truck parking service. I think it's time to give importance to this aspect and take a stand.

Can't leave experience details as couldn't get parked again. This is the fourth time while the car park is under Construction. No details of how long this is going on for. Ridiculous when you legally have to stop and can't. Hgv! Gonna have to stop elsewhere in future.

One of our regular stops on the way back up north, a few nice places to eat and plenty of seating, and now a few EV charging points.

Better than many service stations.
