Stopped at the Northbound side today and observed and experienced outstanding service. The staff were polite, well presented and helpful throughout. A well drilled team who are clearly being led properly. 👏👏

First time visited but must admit not too bad. Lots of seating and choices for food and drink.

Filthy tables, overflowing bins, and most stores shut by 7pm on a Saturday - very poor.

Good water pressure and hot showers, but I had to wear my slippers.

I travel up the M1 regularly on Saturdays and always stop at Tibshelf on my way to Leeds. The bacon and egg bap at the Fresh Food cafe is one of the best I have ever had and a recommended choice. The ladies serving are friendly and helpful and always get me some well done bacon - just how I like it! A great service area for a 30 minute stop - well done.

Good luck getting anything decent to eat at night. Everything is closed.

Lovey clean services with lovely staff

Hovel, nothing open and toilets were full of flies in late October!

Very clean and tidy services with great access. Good selection of food outlets. Ample parking and if people park 'properly' then plenty of room. Im a truck driver so, an added bonus is the truck wash. Good easy access to HGV fuel pumps as well.

Rubbish. Went in for a coffee… everywhere that sells it was closed by 11pm. What even is that? If you are on the road at night, don’t bother.

Showers are the worst I've seen in the uk and wh smiths wants your keys as deposit.

Motorway service station. Containing Shops and various eateries.

Everything was closed except WHS. Only coffee that was available is the Costa machine, which is one the worst coffee that I had.

Main building is fine. But like most services nowhere near enough hgv parking. If after 5pm don't bother its rammed.

Always a lovely stop at tibshelf services. Staff are amazing and the choice of food and drinks are exceptional. Really enjoy the coco da mama pasta, and the staff are always really helpful and nice.

We travel on the M1 each day and call for coffee at Tibshelf north most mornings. This is a busy and thriving services which is very busy at times. The shops are very clean, well stocked and attractive. All 3 food outlets are clean and inviting, giving a good choice of options/price for all pockets. General public areas are constantly being attended to by the staff, who work hard for the public (an unseen, unacknowledged, committed group of staff). This level of service is consistently maintained. Staff are welcoming and kind, especially to those customers with additional needs. Well done everyone.

Impeccably clean place and brand new showers in which the cleaning staff seem particular proud of and invested in keeping immaculate.

A fairly typical soulless dishevelled motorway services. Useful if you need the toilet!...but that's about all

Popped in here for a quick pint stop. Everything was in good order. Parking was easy in a minibus, right outside the door which was a bonus.

An extremely terrible parking lot, excessively high prices that have nothing to do with reality, and the asphalt craters in the truck parking lot make me think of the medieval era. I don't see any intention to rectify the surface in the parking lot even though the transport companies pay for the truck parking service. I think it's time to give importance to this aspect and take a stand.

Fast macdonalds service and toilets clean

We had a McDonalds at these services. The seating area wasn’t cleaned in the 2 hours we were there. My 10 year old tried to redeem a McFlurry voucher with the staff but they refused him as he wasn’t 18 even though I was sat 4m away looking at them with him pointing me out. We got the McFlurry after I got up and put the voucher on the counter myself. All a bit pedantic for me.

Can't leave experience details as couldn't get parked again. This is the fourth time while the car park is under Construction. No details of how long this is going on for. Ridiculous when you legally have to stop and can't. Hgv! Gonna have to stop elsewhere in future.

Great service and good range of amenities

One of our regular stops on the way back up north, a few nice places to eat and plenty of seating, and now a few EV charging points.

I had booked this as a planned break in a long trip, chosen simply because of being halfway. Hotel clean and cheerful. Other outlets closed quite early

Really disappointing. Stopped here yesterday evening at 8pm on way home to York. Hadn’t stopped here for a couple of years but thought I was good back then, oh what a surprise! Firstly the car park outside the building has pot holes so drove car into one when parking! Then almost tripped on another making way in dark to the entrance. Then you are accosted by a huge McDonald’s in the centre of the building with glass walls so you have to walk around it to either get to the counter if you are ordering something from their Fat food chooses or to get to the rest of the cafe/coffee/ restaurant counters which were all closed! Only a newsagents open with wilted sandwich’s at ridiculous motorway prices. I know they claim you pay more on motorways service stations as they are open later for travellers etc but closing almost everything except a fast food outlet is rubbish. I certainly won’t be bothering to stop here again. Oh and the trip in the pothole ridden parking lot has aggregated my bad back too so thanks for a truly awful experience.

Stopped there on coach for break and food. Very good for food and excellent shopping.

They only have 1 rapid EV charger, and nowhere with a gluten free option to eat, but other than that it's a really nice service station.

Good service station but not one of the biggest, which isn't a bad thing. The facilities were clean and there was plenty of parking. It was not that busy when we visited so we were in and out quickly without much fuss.

Unfortunately, we had a breakdown on our homebound journey and was brought to Tibshelf M1 Northbound Services in the early hours of the morning. We are a family of 4, two adults and two young children. We were greeted by a fantastic team who could not do enough to help us as a family and make sure we were all ok. Sue, Sophie and Molly were absolutely amazing people and we cannot thank them enough for their kindness and generosity towards us. They are an absolute credit to the company. Lovely services and we would highly recommend. Thank you.

23:15 just maccy dees open for for drinks only no food and looked like it was. Losing. Wh smiths sandwich and crisp and pop prices are a Joke! 24 hour service? Avoid!

Did exactly what it needed to do.

Lots of Eateries & toilets are particularly clean. A lovely stop on your journey.

This is a great site for a stop on the motorway. Plenty of eating and quick shopping options for essentials. Plenty of parking on site. Costa on site, which makes a worthwhile visit.

One electric charger at a service station in this day and age is an absolute joke!! Thankfully had enough to get to the next one which had a row of them. Absolutely crazy!! Oh and potholes everywhere that looks like a meteor shower has recently hit. They're so deep it's unbelievable

We went to McDonald's in here. As a stomp off on a 8 hr drive. Fast food it definitely was. Better quality and taster than the other around. And toilets were clean! The food was still hot when I had a lovely walk back to the car.

I visited the road service on my way to Huddersfield with my family and somehow I lost my phone. Thanks to Tina @roadchef, I received very clear communication and my phone was sent to me via post in Milton Keynes. Good people, great service.

Truck parking is inconvenient! There is so much space and so little use of it. You need parking at an acute angle, not 90°, you can have 2 “Christmas trees” opposite each other, but not like what we have now. Payment via Snap does not include any consumption voucher. For £30 you could come up with something like in Germany. Shower and toilet are ok.

Call here every time northbound. Have a good Costa and McDonalds with outside seating when it is sunny.

Peaceful and very nice place for a pit stop. Plenty of parking spaces, picnic tables, inside seating, food, coffee and toilets.

One of the single worst services, is was disgusting. The tables had stale food on them, nowhere clean to eat the bins were over flowing and the fly problem meant we ate in the car. I would never go here again.

If I could give a zero star I would. The sign in my picture may aswell not exist. The past 4 times I have come I have struggled to park even during the day. Coaches bring up to 70 passengers who spend money and wagon drivers barely go in side. So why aren't you enforcing it. Just an idea change the sign to say "coaches not welcome" and we will happily take our custom elsewhere

Great services that had clean toilets and fast service at McDonald’s

Really friendly and polite staff. Been to many Road chef, and frequently been disappointed with cleanliness, however on this occasion, I could not find fault. It was spotlessly clean, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were all ok. Service was prompt and it was a rare pleasure to see that the staff seemed happy- service with a smile goes further than you know! All in all, this visit restored my faith in Roadchef.

Staff are so friendly at this services, which is a rarity for most services I visit.
