The best restaurants in Misterton Bassetlaw East Midlands

Went to Di's Diner with my wife for breakfast. It is situated on the industrial estate in West Stockwith. Di is a lovely obliging lady and could not do enough for us. The food was well cooked, and well presented, and the premises are really spotless.

Very over priced for the size and quality of the meals. Had the sweet chilli pan fried chicken and chips at £14. Relatively small amount. Chicken just tasted like it was covered in chilli jam. Chips were mainly the broken ends and it was clearly pre chopped lettuce. Very little effort put in. Would have expected £9.50 sort of price tag. The other diners on my table wernt wowed either. Also seemed to take along time to come while the place wernt that busy. Shame really as it used to be really nice there, with good quality and value.

Great village pub run by Jackie and her team . Well worth a visit and any pool players out there try the 2 tables upstairs in the sports bar . Plus Wed is quiz night .

Esta fue nuestra primera visita a The Haxey Gate Inn después de haber pasado por ella en unas cuantas ocasiones y visto algunos coches aparcados fuera y leer algunos de los comentarios y echar un vistazo a su sitio web que podría tener que ver con la actualización de precios, reservamos una mesa con antelación y se nos mostró rápidamente a nuestra llegada. Aunque el servicio inicial fue bueno el resto de la noche resultó ser no más que la media con esperas para nuestra orden de comida para ser tomada y luego servida y la comida en sí resultando no ser mejor que la media. Quizás un tiempo antes de que elijamos regresar.

Food was great, unfortunately they didn’t have the ingredients to make the American Watfles so I settled for pancakes instead - which were light and fluffy, topped with Korean fried chicken. My wife had the pork belly Benedict, it was incredible and the eggs were perfect! All seemed to be made in house and fresh. The decor in the place is nice and rustic, it could do with a decorator in to touch/freshen the place up and a good clean as all woodwork was dirty. Overall a great breakfast and would go back, even though it’s a 50 min drive for myself well worth it.

Service is the best and the food is tasty

Visiting the area, and thought we would order our tea . First of no delivery. OK wasn't to much of a issue however I was night fishing so had to leave all my gear alone . 2nd , ordered 2 mixed kebabs 2 cheese burgers with chips . And a chicken supreme pizza . Went to collect and nice jolly bloke served me . Got bk to our venue and was really looking forward to some warm food . Now I can honestly say it was the most disgusting kebab we have ever had ever . The chicken was like trying to eat a pair of wellys, donner meat stone cold and just as tough . Luckily we ordered a cheese burger as that was actually decent, . The pizza well when u watch someone take a bite and spit it straight back out put me straight off . So wish the fish and chip shop had of been open. Would it go bk ? Not a chance , if that's the food your happy to serve your customers then you deserve to be shut down .

Fantastic service from all the staff. The Sunday roast was without doubt one of the best we have ever had and the price was less than we would expect to pay in the West Midlands. We fully intend to eat here again whilst on holiday this week.
