What a lovely pub, Stuart & Karen make you feel very welcome, and there food is excellent. Entertainment every Saturday with some great turns. Watch out for Lance a solo singer with songs from the 60s 70s 80s 90s and some.

Absolutely beautiful carvery, the Stilton cheese sauce is a must. Everything was cooked to perfection and the meats just melt in your mouth. Thanks for having us Karen and Stewart.

Went last night and had camembert sharer and pizzas. Lovely food, great service, friendly place, good value. Either eat in the restaurant side or in the bar. Can't think of anything bad to say - even the beer was perfect!! Will return

Enjoyed an outstanding meal today with family and friends at this local pub, which has been greatly transformed & rejuvenated by new ownership. The staff were genuinely welcoming, enhancing the relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The food was delicious, each dish a delightful experience. A subtle addition of a background music system like Freespace, would make this already fantastic venue even more exceptional. Highly recommended for an unforgettable dining experience.

As a fool, I did not book a table. (Friday Evening) Many a place would have turned you away. But not this establishment. They explained the situation clearly and gave an approximate time that we'd have to wait. (45 mins) and to the minute our order was taken. The 3 difference dishes were served at the same time perfectly. All 3 dishes were delicious. Steak, Duck, and Ratatouille. We were offered a free round of drinks or desserts for our wait. When it was my fault, not theirs. Lovely hosts and lovely food.

We went to visit the pub on a Tuesday afternoon and it was closed (we hung on thinking it must open at 3pm) then nothing- we thought it was odd that on a Tuesday afternoon it was closed. Called the pub, no answer we then called the canal and river trust (incase it was run by them) to be told they don’t know when it opens etc - no opening times were available on google so we left. A month later we have been chased for a car parking fine! How could we have inputted our registration details if we couldn’t even get in the pub?!?! I appealed it stating to look on your CCTV you will see us sat on the benches near the road waiting till 3pm then leave which has been DENIED - despite writing to the civil enforcement I still haven’t heard anything! Furious is an understatement. Edit almost a year later!!! I paid the £60 parking fine under pressure.. Company didn't even acknowledge this! I sent supporting evidence - call logs, my bank statement my WhatsApp messages etc etc etc all ignored or denied - hit with a CCJ and £300 fine PLUS the £60 that they never even acknowledged they have so now fighting with my bank to get a charge back! You won't win just pay the fine - money making scheme!!!! I will never return here 😡

This pub must be the most welcoming pub. I have been in. the landlord and lady are fantastic. The locals are very friendly, and the food is great. This is my second time in the pub, and it won't be my last

My 82 year old father brought his sister and husband for a meal only to be issues with a £100 fine parking fine! When he contested it the ownerwas very rude and put the phone on him stating he should have read the notice board. When he rang the cotractors they did the same. Totally discussed that you would fine paying pensioners for parking let's face it how many people would think to look for a notice board. Maybe you should ask people if they have registered their car when taking their order! None if us will be visiting again !

Fine issued to my grandfather for parking in their carpark when eating at the establishment. Parking is reserved for customers, which he was., However despite this they won't over turn the fine issued. Food may be adequate at best however be prepared to pay for a 100 pound fine for the privilege.

I brought my disabled nephew and brother (who were visiting from the states.) The owners were so attentive and kind. The food was fabulous! I highly recommend this pub as they make everyone feel welcome! 5 Stars!!!!

Stopped in my camper van,great time.

Absolutely perfect. Cannot recommend highly enough. The location is a great base to visit lots of beautiful places from. The whole place is stunning. The rooms are perfectly clean and spacious. Food is excellent. But above all we were astounded by the friendliness of every member of staff especially Sadie and Kelly who went above and beyond to make our stay special. Had a super pub stopover in the camper van. Lovely quiet scenic location with walks, 24hr clean toilets, friendly landlord.

Land lord said he would sort out a parking fine which ended up at £100 was very rude to this lady of 80 years old. She had come to a paid booked party at this Pub, last time a party will be booked here.

Very biker friendly waterside pub

We went to The Waterfront for a Sunday lunch, it is run by a very hard working couple, the lady works on the bar and helps organise the tables the landlord works in the kitchen and on the carvery, I think that the day we were there, there was a uoung lady helping, but there is no doubt that they work really hard, the carved had 5 or 6 choices, the veg was good. And despite some of the less favorable reviews, we had a really good meal, good value and we will return.... The issue of the Carpark does need considering, but the reason is that people who do not use the pub, want yo leave their vehicles on there, which isn't fair. We had a meal with friends who were up from Cornwall, I asked the landlady if we were OK to go for a walk along the Trent after our meal, this wasn't an issue. Just ask, the machine to register is in the bar, as so as you go in, just ask where it is and put your Registration number in, sorted. Enjoy a lovely Sunday lunch and hopefully the next te we go the weather will be good enough to sit outside looking over at the boats. The Waterfront Inn West Stockwith, give it a try. But ring and check booking as they get busy. Happy Customer. 👍❤️

Parked here for the Coronation weekend. Excellent freshly cooked food. Pleasant and accommodating owners. If camping do not arrive before 3pm

Received a lovely warm welcome from Karen and Stuart asked to register our van on arrival to avoid a fine. Had an amazing sunday lunch everything home made delicious then a lovely stroll along the canal. Water, toilets and bins were provided also EHU if required £10.00 per night £12.00 if using EHU Although we had a meal and drinks in the pub we still paid parking for the night. Lovely food & drink options. Homemade and delicious. Parking issue isn’t an issue, just need to put your reg plate in by the bar as all of the signs say it’s completely free!

Great food & lovely hosts - if you like a carvery - this one is not to be missed, I have had to edit my review from 4 years ago, I have read some of the previous reviews and I just cannot believe what some people are saying. Firstly- there is NO luke warm beer, secondly- who would leave condiments on an outside table with our English weather. And on to the parking situation, there is plenty of sineage for everyone to see. - if you go about with your eyes closed, maybe it's time to surrender your licence, because I dread to think what you are like when you are behind the steering wheel, and try to blame other people for your incompetence. This is a great pub & don't forget it, Karen & Stuart do a great job of trying to keep this pub open.

I went to this pub for a drink. Beer was luke warm and land lord rather grumpy. We wanted to know whether he has local beers and he questioned us. ("Why would you want to drink local beer anyway?") But the worst: we got fined for parking on their car park!!! Fair enough , there is a sign saying that one needs to register with the pub. But shouldn't the land lord/lady ask their customers out of courtesy whether they came by car and registered?? Just as a warning? We are fuming! The Waterfront Inn? No thanks!

Had Sunday carvery here today. Good choice of meats (4). Excellent large Yorkshire puds. Good range of vegetables, mashed swede and onions very nice. Blue cheese sauce to compliment the cauliflower. We sat in the bar as this is the dog friendly section. Landlady was welcoming and chatty. Will visit again I am sure.

Maybe it's nice and comfy to eat and drink, we wanted to park there and have a walk around Stockwith Basin then call in for a drink sit outside with our dog, was strongly advised by a customer this is a bad idea if pub owners see you park and walk off regardless if calling in after the walk he puts wheel clamps on your car, was told even dog walkers who drink and meal first does not give you a reason to take up his customer space even though you are a customer. So no probably not a nice place. Shame really..

We had a one night pub stop over in our van. the landlady greeted us and showed us our spot and where all the facilities were .we booked an evening meal and wasn't disappointed !! great prices and good ample portions to boot .very friendly but would advise to book early as every pitch was full we will definitely be re- visiting.

Can't say to much as we sat outside most of the time as weather was great and there was a wedding party in the lounge/bar had a good laugh with the locals🍻👊😁

Absolutely disgusting customer service from the women! (Unfortunately) as it shouldn’t be.. my two little children needed the toilet and tissue, I asked a lady outside if we could go inside and whether it we’re open, she reply yes of course. We went to the toilet as we came out, a small brown hair (snotty) women approached me asking if she could help I explained the above and I said was this ok to do as it we’re for my two children.. her facial expressions was appalling her reply was ‘well it’s a bit too late now isn’t it’ her tone and approach to this was NOT friendly at all and made myself and my two children feel very uncomfortable never mind how the other customers may have felt. I would avoid this place like the plague unless you liked to be treated and spoken to like dirt! We are all human and this is not necessary. To the women if you are reading this I hope you are proud of yourself, you vile women!

Called in for biker night, a bit early but made very welcome by landlady. Great meal,lovely brown chips. Nice clean pub in Nice location. Going back in a couple of weeks. Well worth the ride.
