This cafe has a special place in my heart, its a loveky distance to walk to, the food is fresh and wholesome, and the staff greet you like a long lost buddy. The other customers are friendly too, and it all adds to an uplifting experience, even on a dull day or if I'm feel low.
It was also the place I first met my partner.
I was looking for a new venue for a existing Music night Iâd been running and I discovered the Art Bank through a colleague.I went for a meeting & really liked both the ambience and friendly staff.Canât wait for our first music evening there.
Simple and wholesome, the lady who served us did all the work herself and was very welcoming. The aesthetic is simple and bare but in the warmest way with a beautiful authentic feel. The food we ordered was delicious, hot and filling and served quickly. Very affordable in an expensive place, would recommend!
Good food butâŠ
Customer service is absolutely shocking from this âfamily ranâ business. Greeted and sat down on a table, 2 minutes later the waitress women wanted our drink and food order, we gave our drinks but we stated we were not ready for our food yet.. she came back over and took our orders. We felt that the starters and main was to close together and not enough time. We did not eat the garlic bread that came with the prawn/crab linguine as it was not cooked enough was like eating cold dough, as the waitress took our plates away, âyou not eat garlic breadâ ? Which we thought was rude. We asked for the bill and the lady that came over didnât even say how much it was, or even. THANK YOU?!?
this place has good food but they really need to work on their customer service it was absolutely shocking tonight!! Disgusting to say the least there was not a good atmosphere
However I would return for a takeaway only. This place would be fabulous if they worked on a few things. Not a welcoming atmosphere
Daylight robbery. The owners are deluded. Stupidly overpriced. The owners donât live in the real world. Stuck up muppets. Avoid this cafe itâs a absolute ripoff
Needed to be fed and rang on the off chance that they could feed us fairly late in evening.
No problem, told to pop round ASAP.
Friendly welcome on arrival.
Excellent meal with 1/2 litre of wine in jug. Just about right.
Sad news , they are closing in the new year and staff going back to the "Greek" in Maidstone.
We are not islanders and only two places would dare the eat on the island, here and a little micro pub in Queenbourgh. :)
Crying shame but classic case of use it lose it.
A very lovely little cafe with the two friendliest and fun couple working there.
The food was great and very reasonably priced, would highly recommend to locals and for tourists passing through
Great food and good location. Service it spot on and fast. Food is quite authentic compared to what I experienced in Vietnam but it is toned down significantly regarding spiciness (ask them to bring on the heat to make it real). It is more âsit downâ food so donât expect a takeaway meal. I have been there 5 times and so far not been disappointed.
