Our order was processed and delivered very quickly, however, the food we received was far from the excellent standard of food ordered from here previously. The fish was quite oily today, and the chips were of the taste and look of chips leftover from lunchtime. The fried chicken was really not nice today, the meat was very dark, and there were lots of tiny bones, which made it rather unpleasant. Probably won't be ordering from here for a while now.

Really this is exactly what you want from a craft beer pub : ace beer selection (especially for IPA fans like me), friendly service, comfy seats, and crucially, Scampi Fries.
As if that weren't enough, make sure you try Tom's Smashed Burgers if you want a sample of what anyone worth a damn is talking about. The jalapeño burger is my favourite.
This is one of the nicest chippy around know big fancy meals just good old English food when you step inside its like being transported back in time if you want a great tasting meal go there

Lovely beach hut cafe with outdoor seating in a terrific location. Lovely large mug of tea in ceramic cup-,,-no flimsy paper cups and a limited choice of brownies or flapjack -both delicious. It's just off the coastal path and is well signposted

Had a lovely anniversary meal here. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the service was immaculate. Food was amazing and was a lovely ambiance in the restaurant, highly recommend!
Visited after walking Mam Tor for sunrise hoping for a breakfast. Sunday morning so not much open. Breakfast items were very limited, very âhipâ menu, so went for banana bread and 2 x waffles with a tea and 2 hot chocolates. Service wasnât great, stood at counter ignored for a while, tea delivered without milk or sugar/spoon, no apology or conversation. Nutella waffle was absolutely smothered and sickly. A little too dog friendly - Table next to us had a small dog on lap with paws on the actual table. ÂŁ36 later and still hungry unfortunately.
We were let down for boxing day, but Sals managed to fit 14 of us in at a busy time of year. Everything was lovely, from the table to the food, to the service. Such friendly accommodating staff. The whole experience was fab and would highly recommend, also save a fortune on drinks, as it is Bring your ownđ
My wife ordered the Chicken Tikka Shashlick option and I had the Chicken Tikka Vindaloo option. We were both delighted with the quality of our choices. Curries outstanding as were all other sundries including rices, breads and starters. Would seriously recommend.
A place to go for something different: local delicacies of pyclets and oatcakes served with flavoursome toppings. I had the "Canadian" (pyclets with bacon and maple syrup). The food is beautiful and the staff are welcoming.
As of March 2024, it shares premises with "Derby Uncovered" which sells local food and non-food products, including pyclets to take away.
