I just love this place. 730am breakfast. Only me there. Mega breakfast for less than £5. I keep coming back here. Lunch is also good but it gets busy

They use to use deliveroo which was easy, now it's rubbish and impossible to order. Sad really because the food is excellent.

Young's Kitchen is a great SE Asian / Korean "place". Young is a convivial host who is usually found with an apron and spoon slaving over a hot wok delivering tasty food. The place has been open throughout lockdown 2 and for a good portion of lockdown 1 keeping staff and students fed but also moving online to provide food for the local area. I have been time and time again and always had hot and tasty food. Much of it freshly prepared to order (although some is made ahead ready to serve). Options for vegetarian and even vegan are all there and a really clear understanding of allergens really helps those of us with dietary requirements ! They are always able (and happy) to make something to suit what you need! I've eaten in (good well spaced tables and nice airy space) and had takeaway - I've even been in, collected food and gone and eaten it down by the lake (see photo). Sadly the delivery service doesn't reach me :( I really can't speak higher of this place!

Tonight was the first time we've ordered food from Young's kitchen and it was amazing tasty and great value food. The Vegan Green Curry was stunning and the Chicken Katsu Curry was by the far I've ever tasted. We'll definitely be ordering again!

We ordered on Deliveroo, well presented boxes and still hot when it arrived. Katsu chicken and Chili chicken both really flavoursome and a large serving for both. The chili chicken really is spicy but tasted really good didn't want to stop eating it, so if you like the heat with all the flavour it's perfect. The katsu chicken was well coated and crispy and the sauce was delicious. Both complemented with the steamed rice. Will be ordering again.

Young did an excellent job teaching us all how to make Bi-Bim-Bap in her cooking course. I learnt about knife skills as well as how to use spices correctly. I also ended up making a delicious meal (for free!) which I took home to have for dinner. Jx

You can either choose a special or mix and match rice/noodles with two mains. The mix and match is delicious and it means you can choose different meals everyday.

Came in after hillside was shut looking for somewhere me and my friend could eat something proper. Came in not expecting much, but was blown away by how amazing the food was and how sweet the staff are. Students should really appriciate what a gem we have.

Young's Kitchen serves Korean, Japanese and/or Oriental type dishes, pre-made or to order -- and you can choose different rice, noodles, meat, tofu and rice options.  The food is decent and used to be of great value. But increasingly, portions have become stingy. Being a frequent visitor, I have introduced friends to this place; however, dish portions have shrunk over the years and staff seem to be fearful that they will be "told off" by their boss because they scooped too much. The issue with this is that now, customers are starting to notice and value for money is going down. Please be more generous to your customers, especially the students.

Young's Kitchen isn't your typical restaurant on the high street. It's located in the University of Surrey in Guildford, and hidden away right in the center of the campus. Unless you are staff or a student, one is unlikely to stumble across this great little gem. It serves Korean, Japanese and/or Oriental type dishes, pre-made or to order -- and you can choose different rice, noodles, meat, tofu and rice options. The decor is minimalist, with long table/ bench arrangements typical of a school; but boy, do they serve tasty Asian dishes! The is sufficient variety here to keep even the fussiest Asian food connoisseurs interested and satisfied. Highly recommended.

The beef was way too fatty, could not eat it. Wasted my time and money. I felt sick after.

Cant really comment much on service as we had next to no interaction with staff. Other than to tell us to order on the app. Food however is sublime. Some of the best sushi I've ever eaten. The other appetizers are equally as good.

The good - The service was good, friendly, attentive but not intrusive and solved some problems quickly. The bad - For the best part of £100 the food was terrible. If you want good Thai food go elsewhere. We ordered a Chang, which came warm, but the waiter swapped this quickly for a cold one so full marks here. Starter - Street Food Sharing platter - This was overly greasy and all tasted of oil which was a shame. Marinated Steak & Crispy Slow Cooked Beef - Low quality steak entirely made of sinew. Sticky Chicken and a portion of Pak Choi and Tenderstem- Arrived stone cold. We raised this with the waiter, who took it back to the kitchen. 5 minutes later, they returned to the table proclaiming "straight from the Wok", with bowls that were too hot for them to touch and some very soggy microwaved food. The Chicken included the small piece of napkin that fell into it when it was first delivered. The chicken had managed to avoid the microwave blast and had achieved lukewarm chewy status. At this point we called it a night and left. All in all, we were looking forward to a bit of a treat and for the sum of £100 the only tasty/edible bits were the rice and pork skewers the rest will be consigned to the rubbish. Very disappointing and we definitely won't be revisiting it.

This restaurant has the best fried chicken I've ever tasted! The food is very affordable and has amazing quality and huge portion. Service is usually quick and the food is always warm! There was no need for waiting but the place is usually crowded during busy times.
