Great food as always and the staff, went above and beyond sorting lunch out due to a limited menu whilst they have some work done on the building. They made some really tasty tacos with rice and vegan chilli. Super tasty and filling... But I did find room for some vegan coffee cake 😁 Yes a little banging from the building work, but not that distracting, I still managed to get some writing done whilst eating.

A boring trip to the launderette in Paddock Wood has a silver lining...opposite is Woodies cafe which includes a great vegan selection. We had a great vegan full English breakfast. Very well presented and great service. Lovely setting. We highly recommend. The menu has a great selection of breakfast and lunches for all tastes. Keep up the good work.

I’m afraid that it was overpriced and average. Central London prices and less than impressive food. Some of the staff were delightful, but the owner had employed cheap labour by hiring girls of 16 or so. I was hoping this place would be a success but I’m not sure now that it will be. Pretty sure I won’t be welcome!

It is a cosy café with only 6 tables open at lunch. There were good options for vegetarians, and all the dishes at our table were tasty. Nice staff. My only negative was the under filled tea pots, which ran out very quickly.

I feel so disappointed to have to write a negative review as I was hoping I would love this place- it has so much potential! *This is for the Italian night*. I’m not sure what the cafe is like in the day… Firstly, we pre-ordered our food as instructed the day before and we arrived and confirmed our choices with the waitress. The next thing we know 2 starters are put down in front of us that aren’t what we ordered at all, with no explanation… When we asked they then informed us they had run out of both our options. No apology or discount was offered. Then the main came (spaghetti bolognese) and it didn’t resemble spag Bol at all. I could have put money on it being egg noodles, the consistency and shape was completely off and they were dry with hardly any sauce. Overall, it was a very expensive experience for something that seemed to not cost much to produce. I can’t even begin to imagine the mark up on that. I could have seen past that if the experience and service was on point but unfortunately this wasn’t the case. Sorry to have to write a bad review, however I think it’s important to share our experience. Hopefully the owners will take it on board and make some changes as this little restaurant is lovely to look at and has potential to be a lovely little local spot.

This is first impressions. We drove from Allington to Paddock Wood, just to try Woodies out. On a cold winters day, we were looking for comfort and warmth, and good snack food. The room we went in to, through the front door, and turn left, was depressing, dark walls, basic plain tables, uncomfortable hard chairs, tiled floor, already, not very warm, and every time someone came through the door, an added cold blast. The food that we had vegan lemon cake, and a non vegan pastrami bagel, were acceptable, but, nothing to write home about. But dairy free hot chocolate and the latte were good. It was the vegan availability that attracted us, as my wife is dairy intolerant. But not welcoming enough to go back.

Great atmosphere, dog friendly, good vegan options. Had the homemade tomato and chilli soup and a toasted vegan cheese and tomato sandwich, really lovely! Partner had homemade burger and salad which again was lovely. Lots of cake options (many of which we bought and ate at home!). Good drinks menu although we only had tap water as it was such a hot day. Staff really super friendly. Seating inside and out. Dog friendly. We will be back...

Came here for lunch at the weekend and was so impressed with the quality of the food. It is so nice to sit outside and it is lovely and secluded. Very much enjoyed the falafel and flat bread. Also the pink lemonade float is a must try. Will be coming back

Lovely atmosphere, friendly service, great breakfast options (the cheesy scrambled egg is superb) and best coffee in town. Also a good-looking light lunch menu! Front garden is a real gem.

We went to the ‘Live & Learn’ toy shop next door and saw that their ‘Woodies’ cafe has just opened. This time we just had coffee and cakes, which were excellent. It’s a great cafe with a lovely atmosphere. The menu looks really tasty and very reasonable ... the cakes were great and we will be back for lunch, I’m sure. The decor is really good too.

Excellent coffee although quite expensive. It's £4 for an oat milk latte. It's also quite crowded and hot inside.

Had a very unexpected visit today. Spent the whole morning running errands and shopping around town and realised I was flagging fast (heavily pregnant) and hadn’t eaten a thing since the night before. Tried eating at the cafe in Victoria Place only to be told they were short staffed and couldn’t serve the area of tables set out. Great. Sent away (along with others waiting) and walked out looking for somewhere else. Walked in to Poppins and immediately greeted and to sit anywhere I pleased. I grabbed the first table and had immediate service approach. Friendly and cheerful. I just had a simple breakfast sandwich and a mug of tea. Delicious. It’s simple fare but just what I needed. I certainly prefer to support a business like this with friendly and tasty food rather than a chain that don’t value their patrons. Will pop in next time I need a quick pit stop for refuelling.
