Popped in for Sunday lunch …average food with good service and priced well .. Thinking I’ll pop in for steak night to see if any better ..

Served by Naomi and Jody today and have to say absolutely faultless off them both!! Highly recommend

Went to the Wentworth Arms in Elmsthorpe for a family meal. We all had good food and the service was excellent. Our waitress was Alivya and she was very pleasant and polite, she is an asset to the team.

Popped in today for a quick drink but ended up having food as well, the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff was second to none, the food was amazing and great value for money, will definitely be back! Highly recommended 👌

Great to see Naomi take control at the wentworth. After being a local for 10 years it’s the best atmosphere iv seen also good food too!!

Came to the Wentworth Arms for their first Bike night organised by Jody. Although the first night, it was great, meeting new like minded people and catching up with friends. I look forward to the next one!!

We have eaten here 4 or 5 times this year. Every time has been excellent. Great quality, interesting food. Promptly served by lovely staff. Thanks today to Jodie and Cherise, who were lovely.

Awful experience. Attended today with a party of 10. 4 of which ordered a roast dinner. Potatoes were undercooked and hard, beef was over cooked and one came without stuffing. When noticed, I asked the waiter for the missing stuffing, after pudding it still hadn't arrived and we left. Barely anyone in there considering it’s a Sunday but given the food quality it is no surprise. Burgers ordered for 4 more dinners and they were tasteless and bland. The cheese was melted but felt like it had been sitting for a while.

Fantastic service, really good value, dog friendly and really great food! Thanks especially to Ollie and Jack! The eggs were perfect! 😄

We had a lovely meal for our friends birthday, unfortunately we went day before delivery day so we struggled to get what we wanted when we checked the menu before arriving but it didn’t put us off we still had a great time and the food and atmosphere was brilliant

We went on bank holiday weekend, 6 people. Service was great, very friendly service from Naomi, Alan and Ollie!

Table of 5 , 1 wheel chair and 1 dog,. Lots of dogs in there, some very vocal, food was all lovely, the wait for food not so much, we waited an hour before any food came, as did most people, quite a few people complaining, need more staff.

Jody and Chenise were brilliant and the food was awesome. Great meal

Had a lovely Mother’s Day experience, a thoughtful hand written card to the Hemsley Family on the table which Shanice had personally done and was a lovely touch which my mum loved! I had the beef rib Bourguignon which was absolutely delicious! All round lovely experience.

Always visit when down in Earl Shilton, good selection of beers, good food and friendly staff, happy days

I'm genuinely so impressed and thankful for the service and care we received tonight. We booked in as a family of 5, 3 adults and 2 children, for mother's day. On arrival we were greeted a lovely lady who introduced herself as shanice, and proceeded to offer the mum's in the group a glass of prosecco, and gave us a little card too, to wish us a happy mother's day. This, we found was really thoughtful and generous, then when we were seated, she asked if my children wanted any colouring sheets and crayons, my son told her he liked batman. She gave him ordinary colouring sheets, but then came back 5 minutes later with a special batman one and a Spiderman one because she'd seen he was wearing a Spiderman top. Again very thoughtful. There wasn't many people in as we went later on in the evening, and I have to say, every single member of staff made an effort to strike up conversation and take an interest, and it was just so lovely. When it came to ordering food, the guy behind the bar was really friendly, and they were very good at helping me make sure my son's food was sorted as he has allergies. Nothing seemed too much trouble, even though they had been on shift all day, and I imagine it had been quite busy, they still had smiles on their faces and kept checking to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely beautiful, we all had different things and everybody enjoyed their meals. The kids had desert after, which looked really good too. Overall it was a really lovely experience for a mother's day meal out, we were made to feel really special, and the kids were thrilled to bits too. Thank you so much to Jody, Ollie, shanice and leon, who were our servers today. We would definitely recommend this place for a visit, and will definitely be coming back again for our next family meal.

Absolutely one of the best meals for a while

Went during the day so not a lot going on except what you'd expect. It was clean and staff polite. We ordered some chips as we were half way through a long walk. They were hot but quite a small portion.

This is our regular local… food is fine for pub food. Service is fine when seated. However, it baffles me and my husband when we go in and there are reserved signs on all the tables…and only a handful are actually in use. When asked if we can sit for a couple of drinks, it’s a point blank, “No it’s bookings only”. No attempt at all made to accommodate. So rather than take an extra few quid until a booking turns up, you turn people away from empty tables at 5pm when the whole place is nearly empty?! Madness. Here’s a suggestion that many other pubs do..if a table is reserved then why can’t you just put the time it is required back from?? Totally understandable then if asked to have the table back. Just seems a basic thing most other pubs do and would solve what looks like a silly problem.

It is very clean and beautiful inside but the roast dinner was the most disgusting dinner I have ever had. I go to a lot of places but Wentworth I wouldn't eat there again if it was free.

Super pub. My partner her son, his wife & grandson came for Sunday lunch. Joan & her family were treated "like celebrities ". Her son said. All enjoyed the atmosphere, staff friendliness as well as food quality. Niome and all staff a big THANK YOU 😊. Paul

Service slow a customer next to me com plane about his Yorkshire pudding a was told by the waitress it's not my fault and didn't do anything I guess that thay won't be coming again . Suggest the staff go on customer relations course

Excellent experience first class food

Very low quality food. Revisited with 4 people for food. 1. Chips were cold. 2. Broccoli undercooked and hard. 3. Missing bacon on one burger. 4. Burned bun on one burger. 5. Uncomfortable seating. 6. Sirloin steak and mixed grill off the menu. 7. Ran out of milk for coffee. 8. Issues with refunding coffee. We only went because we had 50% off, but still feel a bit robbed.

We enjoyed our lunch here very much. The menu was the usual pub choices, prices were very reasonable, the service friendly. Altogether a pleasant experience.

Pub had a calm atmosphere and staff were friendly and most helpful, food (a cheese and veg sandwich) arrived quickly and was very decent, always helped when washed down with a pint of IPA as well as being great value. Will definitely look to make this our regular next time we race at Mallory Park!

Popped in today for a family meet up. Very quick service, friendly staff. Great offers on the menu (2 for £15 meal deals available) Pub has had an updated decor it seems since last time we were here. Really cosy atmosphere. Food absolutely lovely. Will definitely be coming back. Edit: Went back again and had the fish and chips and Vegan Katsu curry. Really nice puddings again too.

We came today for breakfast with Santa my boys absolutely loved it the atmosphere was lovely the staff went above and beyond we had 2 extra guests unexpectedly and the manager shanice was more than happy to accommodate for us. Will definitely be booking again next year. Well done to everyone involved. Merry Christmas xx

Excellent food and able to manage a booking of 11people and 1 dog inside, enabling a family gathering. Lovely atmosphere, easy access (no steps) from rear of the pub. Clean and tidy play area for children.

Was told where to sit and that someone would be over to take order in a few minutes as now changed to waiter service. Sat for twenty minutes but nobody came to us so left and went to eat elsewhere, terrible experience

Came for the festive menu not too bad apart from the roast potatoes and parsnips were under cooked and the prawn cocktail starter was very watery Overall the experience was good and good portion sizes

Being our local visited The Wentworth on a Friday evening, booked a table earlier that afternoon and glad we did as it was very busy, saying that the service was swift and great. I went full 3 course, starting on soup of the day which came out piping hot and lovely, for a change I decided on the Lamb Shank for the main and wow so glad I did, it literally fell apart and tasted amazing. And to finish I had my favourite, sticky toffee pudding with custard say no more. We'll definitely be back again and again and booking for a Christmas meal in December too.

Had a wonderful Sunday evening meal. Two steak and ale pies and two chicken and ham pies. Great portions, gravy was delicious. Team very friendly and helpful. Bonus that our little dog was welcome

At 5.40 pm this evening, about 5 cars in the car park and about the same number of people inside. 1 person sat drinking at the bar and 2 at a table in the bar. I was asked if I had booked, I said no I'd just called in for a drink with my husband. I was refused service even though I said I would sit at the bar and only wanted one drink. I was refused again.The reason she gave 'I'm not taking walk in's. I'm the only one serving, if I serve you I'll have to serve everyone'. Where was the crowd of customers waiting to be served? There was no one else at the bar waiting. What the heck!! This has been a local for many years but I won't be back any time soon!!

Very disappointed after paying for 2 meals& asking for ONE extra tea bag because tea was very weak!! The response was” we usually charge for “extra teabag” pretty rediculous!!

Visited today and the service and food was excellent. We hadn’t been here for quite a few months and what a lovely surprise, great improvement felt much more welcoming. Can recommend the beef bourguignon which was very tasty and sticky toffee pudding to finish which was so light. Compliments to the chef and the whole team at the Wentworth.

The Wentworth were amazing for our party! Stacey n Jody (although rushed off their feet) were amazingly attentive and made our evening perfect, food was great and we were very much looked after :)

We’ve had a few meals here recently and have throughly enjoyed every one of them. Dan & Jody are an asset to the team. The level of service we’ve received every time has been impeccable. The menu is small and not over complicated, it’s has plenty to offer and the specials are amazing. There is something for everyone. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, love the current Halloween set up. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Really lovely mid week supper. Really warm welcome when we arrived. Great menu choices. We had a mixed grill - great quality meat and good portion size, and the chicken and chorizo stew which was delicious. We were really liked after by a lovely, attentive team. Will definitely be going back soon

My family and I came here for dinner as a spare of the moment thing, the staff were very acomadating and welcoming. The food was brilliant, had a nice selection of classic pub meals like gammmon & chips, fish & chips but also had some new dishes to there menu like a chicken schnitzel. Not a single complaint about the food, staff and we didn’t have a long wait on food even though you could see they were very busy. Thank you for a lovely dinner.

Me and a friend went here for food and drinks and to have a general catch up. The atmosphere was relaxing, we were definitely able to have those “catch up conversations!” We ordered the food which came out promptly, warm and tasted amazing. The staff were super friendly, special shout out to Harriett who served us that evening. Definitely returning :)

Just popped in for food. Hadn’t book so told to find a table not reserved. On doing so the table only had one chair, so I moved a chair from another table. When husband went to bar to order he was told off for moving chair and if we needed one to ask one of the other tables who had coats on there chair if we could have it. We picked up our coats and left. Will not be back. Were welcomed warmly at the mill on the soar down the road.

Massive improvement all round since the last time we went, all down to new management team. The food and its presentation was lovely and the place has had a delightful facelift. Highly recommend you give it a second chance if you boycotted it like we did 18 months ago when the food was diabolical. Very friendly staff who are passionate and dedicated to turning this place around. Well done to The Wentworth Team!, we will definitely be back! Ps, very dog friendly!

Had to wait and chase a bottle of wine then an hour after ordering food asked how much longer to be told the order hadn't even been processed didn't charge for the food but would have preferred to pay and receive a decent service sorry but won't be returning

Just had an amazing night at The Wentworth Arms for my mother's 75th birthday celebrations. 11 adults and 2 children starters, mains all served hot and together. Can not fault all the staff, 100% service with a smile and doesn't break the bank Will definitely return and would definitely recommend. Thank you for making it the day perfect 🥰

Chronically understaffed with poor service. 1 hour and 30 mins to deliver our mains to the table. We received a (delayed) apology and a 20% discount, but this should never have happened. Greene King, why do you even bother? It’s always the same: short-sighted cost cutting, miserable staff, and poor customer service. You excel at transforming once pleasant, unique pubs into cut-and-paste, soulless canteens.

Fridays have always been for us a F& C day …. A large F&C for myself and the small portion but with a dessert go for my wife. A pint of Abbot helps, what has become almost a regular occasion, the Fish never fails to be succulent, the batter really tasty as well but the Shared Crumble Tart is a kill for delight.

Had a lovely family dinner at the Wentworth tonight! We were served by Shanice who was very bubbly, friendly and pointed us in the direction of the mini puds as we were stuffed! Overall a lovely night!
