Toby Carvery in Blaby

Seated on a table that was "out of the way" and right next to a fire exit, and next to a table that was on a higher level so had other people's feet right next to our heads! We chose lamb which we were given all the dry ends and not much edible meat at all, waited over 20 minutes for our plates to be cleared, only then when we'd managed to get someone's attention!....... Not a good experience at all and considering there was plenty of staff and the restaurant wasn't even a quarter full, we found it very disappointing

Me & my Partner came for a well craved carvery after work this evening. We were served by a lovely girl called Sophie, who was very friendly & attentive ! The Carvery was very good quality & the puddings were delicious :)

Price rise, food quantity goes down... veg quality is great of you have a good dentist, meat portion is minimal, recent yorkies shatter from being under the heat lamps too long.... very sad... i enjoyed a cheeky Toby every fortnight... no longer enjoyable tasty or value for money if feeding anymore than one...

Beautiful carvery Parking was a bit of an issue as it was a busy Sunday. But we had a great time. Although the que for food on Sunday (430pm) the que was very large to getting your carvery. But all staff were working hard & were extremely kind.

Been coming to Toby over the last week or so for breakfast and the odd carvery. What a great friendly place, the staff are always welcoming. Must be becoming a regular when the staff says your usual 😎 Then you know the staff remember you and take the pleasure of caring for the customer. Well done Team Toby Loughborough

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food which was the carvery was a bit dissappointing for the price charged. The vegetables were not hot and we were given just one slice of the two meats we liked

Been here regularly over the last few years since our local Toby Carvery was closed. Always worth the trip, always busy. Special thanks to Michael who served us tonight and has done 2-3 times in the past, always great service and obviously takes pride in his job :)

Great food, friendly staff and great service, (Scottish?) Manager (apologies if I’ve got that wrong) was clearly really busy but friendly, polite and helpful, as she always is, only downside is the actual state of the building, toilet in the gents far left didn’t even have a working flush, paint job in the restaurant seating area is worse than me painting (and that’s saying something!), staff were all great though, for a Toby with such a mix of the regular and the students, it just works really Well, and is an asset to the area, this is my go to carvery now with my elderly mother, as they are always so helpful and accommodating, Colwick now takes 2nd place in my top Tobys, this one will always be my 1st choice, please DON’T turn it into a Miller and Carter!

Lovely Easter Sunday meal. Couldn't fault the service or the food. Highly recommended.

Today we had the most amazing service from the front-of-house manager who informed us that we may have a 40-minute wait for a table which we were prepared to wait for as we hadn't booked. But within 10 minutes we were seated and being served by the lovely Mike who may I just say, his knowledge was second to none. We had the most amazing carvery all fresh and hot served by the fantastic chefs. we can't wait to come again. The staff are so friendly and helpful that it takes me back to my waitressing days because that's how I was. Thankyou so much. From the Betts family

The mash was a disappointment as it was like it had been left out for days,but the apple and blackberry crumble was gorgeously delicious and appealing!

Food was excellent....Best carvery we have EVER had! Service was really good too and we loved our 3 seater table, in a nice, private spot but not isolated...perfect, can't find anything negative to say

Prices are astronomical. Today was our second wake this year here, The staff was great and food was good.

Food (Carvery) was excellent, great ambiance and comfortable seating with added bonus of wifi and plugs. Had a business meeting and lunch. Toilets very clean and staff welcoming. Only thing I would have liked to have seen is more restrooms as toilet only had one?

Came for Lunch today. Amazing reception from host point Lynn. Food magnificent all looked appetising, plenty of choice. The Gravy was Fabulous. Waitress Emma and Josh was very friendly and helpful. High praise to the Team. Highly recommend a visit

You would think that you would get perfectly cooked food all the time since roast dinners are their specialty.

Great food and meat cooked slowly and properly. Didn't have cauliflower cheese at our visit this time though.

Meal was good. Had to wait to be served at the bar, but the staff were busy.

Had a beef roll and roast potatoes, very tasty i must say, i reckon that's the best beef roll i had in ages, service was excellent, atmosphere was great, and it was very busy for a Thursday afternoon, well recommend.

Went for Mother's Day breakfast buffet. Greeting, ordering and paying all went just fine. The food was also very nice and in good condition for being on the Bain-Marie. But the main reason for this review is down to the lovely lady who was working our table - Emma. Friendly, fun, full of smiles, had a laughing conversation about paper-clip nose chains and ironing your hair (punk days), but best of all brought me a pot of gravy - without being asked - as the queue was too long at that point in time. Just a little thing I know, but these days it really stands out when you get great service 👍👍👍. 😎

We came on Mother’s Day with my brother and Mum and had not the best start when a lady at the front of house made us aware even though we had booked we had no table allocated but luckily Emma on the table staff completely changed the experience around for us she apologised for what had happened and made sure we had everything we needed she is a great example of what every staff team needs she was attentive from start to finish and left us leaving happy and smiling! Thanks Emma!!

Can rarely go wrong with Toby Carvery, The staff are pleasant and accommodating and the restaurant is usually nice and clean. Sundays you need to book pretty ahead to get a slot as it fills fast

Visit for breakfast Sunday 3/3/24 arrived 30 mins before breakfast finished. Only scraps of bacon left no mushrooms so quite dissapointing

Food seems to have really slipped these days, always go for the roast potatoes at the back if they've chucked gravy on them, they've been sat for a while .

If it's Carvery you desire then this is the top dog. I come here regular because the food is outstanding. The pricing is decent and the staff are very friendly.

Great value food, including eat all you want vegetables, accompaniments, sauces, etc. Good choice, including mac and cheese, as one of the options. Was able to eat and chat for one and half hours without any sense of being moved on. Good hearty choice.

Nice food and a cheap night out if you arnt drinking Alcohol and have the unlimited topups. The staff are friendly and approachable.

The food at this Toby Carvery was extremely well cooked and the service was excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. Make sure you put your car registration onto the tablet on the bar.

A very busy place especially on Sundays. Not much veggie options. Carvey was ok but food was everywhere on the sides of serving area plus on the floor.

I went for the breakfast buffet , great value, I had 5 peices of bacon, come on !!!

We visited this morning and it was lovely! Served by Emma who was very warm and welcoming, the food was great as well, good value for money!

It was all very lovely. Our server was Elyssa. Very polite and pleasant girl. No pigs in blankets, but all is forgiven! One of our party, had never been. Very much enjoyed.

We have have visited the Toby Carvery at Loughborough several times and we always enjoy our food. This visit was probably our best experience. The was lovely as per usual, however it was our server Blake that stole the show. Blake is a polite, funny , and professional young man, for whom nothing is too much trouble. Toby Carvery’s take note , you have a great in Blake and you should look after him.

We visited yesterday, food is always great. The service was exceptional, what a treat to be served by Blake. This young man is definitely a breath of fresh air. Friendly, professional and charming with an incredible sense of humour. A true asset to your company I’m sure Blake will go far. Thank Blake for brightening a dreary Monday.

Lovely food apart from getting ignored twice at the bar. The server served 2 couples who came after us.

4 of us enjoyed a visit today, it was busy with only one person carving, we had a decent meal and a yummy pudding. sadly, it was some other customers holding up the deck that made the wait at the carvery so long (25mins standing), do you want this? or that?..... faffing about that slowed the whole thing down.

Excellent service, great food. Arrived a little early bit could still get to our seat immediately.

I love Toby Carvery, the main thing being you know what your getting. I took my wife and mother in law as she lives near Loughborough. This didn't disappoint at all. The only thing I could fault is that there wasn't the array of vegetables I am used to at out local branch. Its as big but ours has a better variety, that's all

Had a lovely dinner as it was quiet. One ladie staff member kept coming over ( which is fine) shes done it before but more this time because it was quiet and we just wanted to enjoy our dinner in peice🙈

Lady that looked after it was so lovely I said that there was no horseradish sauce left and she personally went and got me some in a bowl. I think the place is getting a little tired regarding the decoration/toilet area. Many thanks

We always go here and never had a bad carvery. One of the staff Emma is lovely and we love seeing her for a chat.

Met my mum n sister service was terrible we had staters only theirs came by time mine came the'd eaten there's not good . And the sweet same thing I had to ask where mine was ! . Waiting time was awfull in any case but then there were private functions going on I believe, so think they had priority . Wasn't many eating around the bar area . Doubt wether I will go there again . It should have been a special time because don't get to see my family that much . So wasn't happy .

The restaurant offers generous portions, making it a good value for the price. While the food is satisfactory, it might not stand out in terms of presentation. The roasted lamb was delicious.

Can’t begin to understand how the team managed to stay on their feet this evening! Staff were amazing even though there were only few of them at the time. Flooding in the area caused a lot of havoc for all but the amazing team here pulled through and still delivered the best service. Cannot thank you enough for being brilliant!

The food was excellent. The facilities do need to be improved, the toilets were leaking and need updating.
