Excellent value for money, Slightly grumpy front of house staff, or at least weren't welcoming. Food very well cooked, some may say too burnt, but that's how I like it

I like Toby, they are consistent in making the experience pleasant.

Just picked up 4 bags of too good to go and the food turned out amazing, hot and felt fresh

My family and I went to the Loughborough toby carvery this evening. The food was really good and the member of staff that served us was an absolute delight! EXCEPTIONAL at his job! Thankyou josh. 10/10 😃 You made us feel welcome and you really cared thar we were happy with our experience there.

I have visited many times and been happy but last night was by far the nicest. Our server, Michael, was super friendly, helpful but not over bearing. A winning smile, he was so approachable even when super busy he seemed to make us feel we were the only diners there! All the staff at Toby Loughborough, especially the manageress are great, but he seemed a extra special. Food was perfect!

Lovely place to eat. We went on a deal night so it was only 6 quid for a carvery meal. Excellent portions of meat and all you can eat veg. Food was piping hot and full of flavour, an excellent traditional meal. Service was fantastic by a very fun and chatty waiter. The place was clean, no fault found. Definitely putting on my, gonna be eating here again list..

We decided to have dinner last minute and the manager was so accommodating and offered us tables in the bar area as the restaurant was fully booked. Great value for money and very friendly staff!

Normally it's great here but this time was a bit disappointing I got a dirty cup for my tea then the Yorke puds were flat and doughy and there was hardly any selection of food that is usually there and it was just a bit of a let down. Staff were friendly and cooperative tho can't fault them at all just standards seem to of dropped.

my first time visiting this particular branch and I was very pleased. I'd booked a table and there was a queue waiting to be seated when we arrived but that took around 10 minutes and we were seated by the time of our booking so no problem there. our waitress was a lovely young lady called Angel who was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. we had the carvery and the food was faultless - hot, cooked beautifully, and plenty of all options. will definitely return!

Excellent, friendly service. Good portion of meat. Chef had just brought out a fresh turkey which was amazing - succulent, tender and tasty. Vegetables were beautiful - fresh and plentiful (we were dining at 3.30pm so appreciated not a busy time but this made no difference to quality or availability as would have been the case in one of our locals of another chain back home) We finished our meal with coffees. The whole experience just what we needed at a bizarre, for us, time of three day after moving our son's student accomodation. Thank you to all the staff.

the delivery time kept being extended, i do not think this was a fault of the delivery driver, i think Toby Carvery took a long time to prepare the food which was poor. the delivery driver came quickly after collection :-)

We visited Toby carvery today for our daughters birthday meal and the food was 10 out of 10 absolutely delicious way better than the carverys you get at the greene king pubs and also micheal was an excellent waiter made sure we had what we needed and asked us if everything was OK! make sure u give him a praise and we'll done 😁

Portions were lovely but the food was stone cold when it arrived and gravy had spilled everywhere in the bags which was a little disappointing

Ordered at 18:23 and delivery time kept changing from 19:15 to 21:05 then 20:35 and on the 6th change was 20:20 So 2 hours after I ordered, just awful and not only cold but meat was dry not much veg or stuffing and a complete lack of roast potoatoes

Food was really good, no real waiting times either.. all in all a very good experience

They couldn’t provide the only vegan option for a member of our party - therefore we took our custom somewhere else. Won’t be back!

Waiting over a hour for it to turn up cold, Fumming and what a waste of money as I contacted the restaurant and they can’t do anything as to busy, told me to contact just eat. What a poor communication

Had a lovely breakfast at Toby Carvery this morning. Sammie greeted us and was friendly & chatty. The breakfast is buffet style, so you can pick what you would like. All the food was hot, well cooked and presented. The kitchen staff all said good morning when I spoke to them. Everywhere was clean & tidy. No complaints here! For the price, it's hard to fault.

Amazing service and delicious food

The food is good and reasonably priced, and the staff are very friendly. We've been 3 times this year (two adults), and keep coming back because we love the cheap and cheerful carvery! However, each time we've been there are multiple tables in the restaurant with children of all ages watching/playing on devices at the table at full volume - sometimes multiple kids, each with their own device (AND the parents watching videos on their phone, too!). I fully appreciate that it's a "family friendly" place and it's not exactly fine dining, but I guess I'm just surprised that in a sit-down pub restaurant that people treat it like a McDonald's. I can't be the only person irritated by the noise of cartoons coming from every direction when I'm trying to eat/chat? We mentioned it to staff, who suggested that next time we can request a "quiet area" table, but maybe it's just a sign of the times? This is the new normal, I guess: whole families sitting on loud devices in restaurants instead of talking to each other. At the least, I think staff should feel confident in telling patrons to turn the volume down.

Everything was great from arrival to leaving. We were a party of 6 and had requested a table on the ground floor. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and led to our table on the ground floor. Our server was excellent, it was not too busy the advice to wait for a vegetarian option order to be ready before heading to the carvery was followed, and we all ate at the same time. We were well and truly looked after

Did what it said on the tin. Waited 5 minutes plus before carver turned up, then had small serving of meat (one and a half slices at best), veg at least was good. Reasonably priced, but that is all I can recommend.

Always a bit mad here. Best advice is to book as they frequently turn away walk-ins. Also, dont leave it too late as they start to run out of meat. Car park is on cameras so make sure you put your reg number into the machine on the bar, or you'll end up with a penalty charge thingy.

Hi, I left an earlier review due to a poor experience via uber eats and tobby in Loughborough. There was an issue with the order that resulted in a complaint and a review. Tobby has since rectified the issue caused during the user eats order and we are again very happy. I wanted to edit the review with an update but it seems locked so adding this instead. Came in this time and had a meal with family, very good experience and they handled the previous concern very well and we had a fantastic meal. Thanks Tobby team.

Amazing food, amazing service from start to finish

Over crowded . No gluten free optional menus. And no gluten free option on the carvery . But I guess it's like most other placeses they make loads of money so who cares about people with an illness Roast potatoes were cooked way to much. They were rock hard.

My order was missing the pigs in blankets from the starter bundle and the garlic bread from the cheesy mushrooms. The only option when saying something was wrong with my order was to repot the whole bundle was missing and not a part of it.

This was my first visit to the Toby carvery & It did not disapoint. All the staff were friendly & helpful, & the food was delicious. There was a small wait to queue up for the carvery, but well worth it. To be fair I think we came at a very busy/popular time. I would just like to thank Jack in particular, who went above & beyond to ensure our visit went perfectly, thank you!! We will DEFINITELY be returning.

The food was cold despite the driver being fast, the meat in the mac n cheese (possibly chicken?) was dried up and hard, the pigs in blankets were ok, but even the roasties were poor quality. Really disappointed.

First time at this Toby , as just dropped in whilst passing. Food hadn’t been out long , so nice & hot , but female server could have been little more customer friendly . Other friendly , smiling staff & good value .

What stood out the most though was the excellent customer service we received from Josh, from booking through to our whole visit, was outstanding. One of our party is a wheelchair user and the level of care & humility shown was fantastic. Thanks again :)

When we arrived we stood around for 5-10 minutes as no one was at the bar or the desk, and when we were eventually greeted, it felt like we were putting them out by showing up even though we had booked. Everything was very oily...( so much so, I thought the American military might invade) or it was rock hard. I could have killed someone with the black pudding or the rock hard square potatoes. The table had forks and no knives so I had to go hunting for a member of staff. Honestly, I won't go again.

Had a lovely carvery I've also had the all you can eat breakfast which is also very nice also the toby app is worth having as they send you deals through which is also very good would recommend

First ever time visiting a Toby carvery, and it was the worse service I have ever Recieved. Shown to our seats told someone will be over to take our drink order, waited 20 minutes for someone to come up and say ‘has no one taken your order yet’ no was my reply, to which we ordered said to go get food and he will get cutlery got our food no cutlery or drinks, sat waiting 5 minutes while foods going cold for him to return again saying ‘oh have you not been given your drinks’ And then at the end asked for bill which again took forever. Was told he would sort us out because of all the trouble and nothing happened no discount nothing.

Placed an order on ubre for 2 people to eat at £35 (Inc delivery). A single food portion was sent with barely any meet in ot. It was pathetic what was sent. Called the restaurant several times yo resolve but no one answered. Left a voice mail asking for a manager to call me back and nothing... we have raised a dispute with Ubre but other's who use the service said not to expect any positive outcome. So leaving this story here for others in full view. If Tobby would like this honest review removing then they can call us back and refund us, otherwise this remains as a warning to others. Very poor service. Update We have since had calls from TC and apologies, they have also issued us an offer for our next visit. We plan to join TC soon to put the issue right and we'll update this once we have been. Thannks

First time here for the breakfast carvery. Very nice, and good value for money . I didn't understand the yorkshire puddings for breakfast, but they were nice! Thanks So I came back here after 6 years, and tried the carvery. Honestly, I'm a little disappointed in the selection of veg. Four meats to choose from, and a bowl with pork crackling(which was nice and good portions), you get a good sized Yorkshire pudding. Apart from that, the rest was average at best, and I didn't think I'd say this, but I preferred the Hobby horse carvery in Syston. The roast potatoes were bland, and not crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Peas, carrots, mash. No broccoli or parsnips. It was just an average can't be arsed carvery.

Ordered 2 X turkey Sunday roasts. Very generous portions and all really nice. Roast potatoes were crispy, Yorkshire puddings were gorgeous! The mash could do with a bit more salt and butter, not the healthiest I know, but you only have a roast one a week so you may as well make it a good one! I would order again

Been this evening for a meal with my mum. Food was lovely, the roast potatoes were gorgeous and the cookie dough sundae was to die for. The ladies that served us (Liv and The Scottish lady sorry I don't know your name) were very professional and welcoming. We will definitely be returning.

I love toby carvery very much I'm sorry for the way I found this place on 02-08-2024 the meat on the front counter was scattered in pieces I asked to bring a new beef and I was refused.. the boy who he cut the meat, he didn't smile, he didn't talk, at the sauce station I couldn't find any kind of sauce, I was brought gravy but it wasn't mixed, it was very thick and cold... and finally I want to mention that Jack was great both with me and and with my family, I thank them very much, as well as Lidia, I think the waitress was called a thin blonde girl, congratulations, good service, I expected more from this restaurant, knowing that it is the only one in the area

Not normally a fan of Toby Carveries, i was impressed with this pub. I went to a function and thought everything was spot on. The venue is nice and spacious, the food well presented and plentiful and the staff efficient and friendly. The bar is a bit pricey and the hand pulled doombar not much to write home about, having said that I've definitely had worse. I would highly recommend this pub.

Been ordering from Toby carvery for a while hoping to get a good experience but each time the food is never cooked through and makes me really ill. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a roast dinner or a breakfast the meat is never cooked throughout and it’s made me quite sick and had to go to the hospital always after having a Toby. Maybe reconsider the chef.
