We went to the Thai restaurant in the plough. Amazing. So lovely

Came here for my Sunday lunch and it felt very dull. The staff weren’t very helpful and the owner was extremely friendly with one of the girls it looked like it was abit much to her. Wasn’t happy with it altogether.

What a dreadfull pub all the staff do is look at u behind the bar and make u not feel welcome absolutely strange place to have a drink…also the owners a nonce don’t let ur kids work there

Great local , staff are friendly , good atmosphere and well looked after beers .locals are fun and accommodating . The Thai restaurant is fabulous food and well priced.

The food was amazing, freshly cooked and traditional Thai. The staff were attentive to the right level. We went on a Wednesday night and every table was taken, it was a great atmosphere.

This review is not a reflection on the Plough pub that we do not have a problem with but the Thai restaurant within it. Booked a table for 9pm and just felt that we were being rushed to eat and leave from the minute we sat down. While the food is nice the customer service is terrible, We were not given a wine list so did not know the cost of the bottle we ordered until paying for it. The staff were not communitive and as soon as we had finished our starter the main was immediately placed on our table. Then as soon as we finished eating our main dishes two members of staff appeared standing over us waving two bills and card machines for us to pay. We still had half a bottle of wine and had not asked for the bill. We paid the separate bills, one for the food the other for the drink and were then left to finish our wine with out so much of a thank you or any interaction from the staff. We finished our wine and would have had another drink in the bar but after the experience we left, again with no acknowledgement from the staff. Will not eat in there again or recommend to any of our friends after this disappointing experience.

Can't fault the pub or the bar staff. The Thai food is excellent but the attitude of the restaurant staff is dreadful. We bought over £125 of takeaway food. When we got home, we discovered we were missing 2 main courses (same dish). The restaurant staff didn't believe us when we called them. They refused to refund us and refused to supply the missing food. That's unacceptable customer service in my book! My scores don't account for the bad attitude of the restaurant staff.

The food was delicious really nice authentic thai food. However they took our drinks bill and food bill separately which made things a pain in the arse to split when it was time to pay (party of 11). They also added a 10% charge on to the end of our bill which no one mentioned at the time of booking that wasn't optional. Bear in mind we'd spent nearly £300 on food and drinks anyway. Take this in to account if you're planning on going with a few of you Great food but won't be going again.

Very friendly local, I used to drink here a lot as the beer has always been good. Today I was passing by and popped in for a quick pint. Unfortunately was given a bad pint of the guest beer, it happens, however after pulling off a couple of pints I was given a taster, this still wasn't right so I was offered an alternative. I chose the Tiger as it's always been well kept. However this too wasn't very nice, just about acceptable but certainly nothing to write home about. I left very disappointed with tarnished memories.

Alan and Jamie are County treasures, Littlethorpe and the surrounding villages are so lucky to have their pub ran as it is with the Thai restaurant on side and the team that constantly evolves to welcome you. I cannot encourage enough for all to try and be welcomed by the

Tried the Thai restaurant that's based within the Plough Inn pub for the first time on a saturday night. Absolutely delicious! I had a beef pad Thai (number 1) - the flavours was incredible, so authentic I also shared a chicken rice and it was phenomenal. Fluffy and flavoursome. On our table we also had spring rolls which i tried (so crispy and tasty!)and now my new favourite restaurant! Highly recommended. The service was fast, full of advice if you was unsure about anything and the value for money was very reasonable. 4 adults starts and mains less than £100 and we had a few dishes sharing aswell as one each! We all enjoyed it (they had level 4 heat) This restaurant is a hidden gem and needs trying! The plough Inn provides the drinks separately from the restaurant. Their selection of gins is fantastic (I love a flavoured gin with lemonade) the attention to detail on how they serve the gin is superb. They pick corresponding fruits / mint etc to compliment the drink. Not just chucking it with ice. Will be coming back again and again for sure!.

The atmosphere was vibrant and lively. The staff are very friendly. The food is delicious but be very cautious what spice level you choose. The prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended. Definitely would visit again.

Not authentic Thai food unfortunately , if you love and know Thai food you will be feeling a bit let down with what you order, nice clean place ,easy to find and very nice and helpful staff.

Great food. Gets busy at the weekends so make sure you book. The restaurant is ran by a separate group from the main bar so at the end of your meal you get two bills, one for your food, one for your drinks. Both equally great service received every time so far... Enjoy! Still good....

The BEST thai food I’ve eaten to date, super lovely staff both in the pub and restaurant, excellent beer selection and incredible thai food. Cannot recommend highly enough x Sadly we left feeling very upset and angry as we went back through to the bar to have a drink before we left, the “bar man” attempted to give my fella a pint from under the counter and just top up the lack of head, when this was mentioned, literally just said “mate where did that come from?” As it clearly wasn’t freshly poured as we were at the bar!?! He started popping off saying there wasn’t anything wrong with it and offered to pour a fresh pint. At this point the bar girls all agreed they would not have done this infront of a customer and the boy became extremely upset and aggressive, we decided the best option was to get a refund and leave as we have had a great evening until his unreasonable attitude made us want to leave asap. Such a shame as the girls and restaurant was so brilliant it will not be going back as this little man obviously feels ripping off then being aggressive and unapologetic is appropriate customer service, what an embarrassing employee….

Part of the pub is a Thai restaurant. The Thai food there is absolutely fantastic, fresh and authentic. I would say the best restaurant in Leicester area at the moment and at very reasonable prices. The food for 4 of us with starters came to £74, without drinks. Authentic Thai food coocked by Thai people.

Visited 6.45 pm, very busy, very loud! Beautiful little restaurant area, Thai food very tasty and very reasonably priced too! I wear hearing aids, because it was quite noisy in there, I struggled to hear our friends talk. Staff lovely. Pay restaurant for food, and a separate bill for the drinks. We will be back, after Christmas when hopefully not so noisy.

We love going to The Plough very friendly &, helpful staff. We go at least twice a week as we enjoy the atmosphere & company & the drinks are lovely. Pet friendly & lovely Vintage Pub. We have just been for a Beautiful Delicious Meal. Low price also Mum had the Senior Citizens Meal they were delicious too. We had a delicious Tomato Soup & Sausage Peas &, Mash Potato & Gravy. They were Delicious. They filled us up. Excellent Service. We will recommend to everybody. Food is really nice, but the curry is way too spicy! And thanks God we took the 'recommended' spiciness level, which I would not recommend at all! Go for the completely mild, which is the right level of spiciness

Ordered for collection and they forgot a dish. By the time I got home food needed to be eaten and wasn't worth going back for. Just disappointing that they can't check before giving the order to the customer

The food was lovely and reasonably priced. Staff were very good and helpful when deciding what to have off the menu. This really is a little gem and I will definitely be going back, Thai food is so much nicer than an Indian from my perspective.

Beautiful Old Country Pub, An excellant selection of Alcoholic and Non Alcoholic Drinks. Very Friendly Helpful Staff. Their Sunday Dinner meals are very Delicious. They also have Thai meals Tues-Sat evenings Sit inside or Take away. Me and my Daughter go to the Plough Every Night, Everyone,s so Friendly. It also has Excellent Safety Measures too. We love the Plough, It,s really worth a visit to see this lovely Pub.

Me and my partner went here for first time over the weekend. Fantastic pub. Instant service. We met Alan the guy running it, super friendly guy who spent time getting to know us. Will definitely be back to see you soon.

Went today, it was our first trip out since the crisis. Food and staff were excellent. Very safe, clean to COVID-19 standards. Highly recommend booking and going.

The Thai kitchen at the Plough is incredible! Me and my partner have been 4 times and never been disappointed.. every dish has been so so nice from starters to mains! Staff are so friendly and helpful.. also good with recommendations of dishes! My partners words were ‘I would eat here every night if I could’!

Had a private party here...food and service excellent

Went for a family 60th birthday party. Bar is very small so be prepared. Area to sit down for food is much bigger. Staff are friendly prices are reasonable and food was nice. The car park can get full quickly but plenty of street parking next to the pub do no panic.
