RADAR toilet. Not just wheelchair accessible. Suitable for people with sensory issues and neurological disabilities who need the Red Cord. Really good.

I was in the area on family business and fancied a couple of pints while watching the football on sky, was disappointed that they didn’t have sky sports for such a popular and quite big pub, stopped to have a beer then moved on, perhaps there isn’t much demand in the area for football or it’s now too expensive.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Indian meal. Loved the spinach chicken, mixed grill, Chilly paneer and Lamb Karahi. Must try their butter chicken. 5 stars all round.

Avoid!! I visited with my Daugher, and was greeted by what I can only describe as the local yobs! Not only where they welcomed inside they were also served alcohol on numerous occasions! Clearly being under age. Management needs sacking! Reported to police and trading standards

Attended today for the Sunday carvery...have to say the food was very good....the homemade complimentary vegetable soup was delicious....then the chef ... a very friendly young man gave us the choice of four meats...turkey, beef, pork and gammon...I chose the beef and turkey which I then had lots of veg, cauliflower cheese..carrots..green beans..cabbage..broccoli...all cooked very well...then you get offered roast and new potatoes...Yorkie pud and stuffing...parsnips...liver and onions...gravy...all cooked very well...great achievement chef..... The atmosphere was friendly...the bar staff were helpful...the room was very clean and well organised....will defo be going back...today wasn’t overly busy due to terrible weather...but have heard that usually it is safer to book a table in advance...defo worth a visit...enjoy all. The price was I believe £7.95 per head and £5.95 for under 12 s.

Lovely pub , great food , only downside is if you sit in the bar you have to listen to the children upstairs banging and slamming around !! Annoying after a while so we left !!

Won't be going back because of this miserable bloke. food was nice. Prices are good value. I did put a report on here but deleted it. I thought the miserable guy was the landlord. Apologies. He needs a few lessons on customer service. He put a damper on the time spent in there.

Been coming down for a number of years now, got to know all the staff, the locals and the owners, always well looked after! The lager is always spot on and the food menu is an absolute bargain. The atmosphere is spot on, especially when the suns out and everybody is outside having a laugh! A secure park for the kids to play on and for the parents to sit at is always a bonus. Great pub, thank you!

Can't fault the food and the staff, especially Hollie, such a lovely girl. Gave me and my family excellent service and always has a smile on her face. Just what you need when you have had a terrible day.

Visited last week, wasn't very busy as which was good. Food was lovely. Lee and kate are lovely. The barmaid Hollie, was as jolly as ever. Always smiling, excellent service the staff are all lovely, really can't fault the place. They have a play area for children, I'd say for 5 over, could do with some swings for something for children under. But other than that they are a lovely esablisment.

Good, honest food at really, really decent prices. Not a 'fine-dining' kind of place but the restaurant is done out nice enough and overall the place is clean - 5/5 hygiene rating. The food has always been good quality when we're been here, the waiting staff are young so not the most engaging but the bar service is cheerful. We'll be back again for sure!

After looking at the other reviews, it stands out that this is a local community pub in Braunstone, Leicester. It is a real gem, yes it is child and dog friendly, and does represent the local community mix with some colourful language at times. But this is a real pub and very good restaurant. For example: Two cod, chips and peas for £7, a two course Sunday lunch for leas than £6 with choice of 12 vegetables on the carvery, with three meats and veggie option. We have had Sunday lunches for double/treble the price which were half as good. It is worth a visit for the food, and drinks, I would recommend calling in if you are in the area.

Winstanley Arms Leicester good food pitty about the foul language 499343287 we have eaten here a few times now, the food is really good (excellent) in fact, but my god the terrible language is not acceptable , bad language is heard every other sentence . this a lounge and eating area where children and elderly people eat and drink and we should have to listen to that.........but the worst and most unexceptable thing here is one of the staff I think the manager? was using bad language himself..... you sometimes hear the odd swearword in pubs but this was constant a landlord should respect other customers not just locals.......what a shame because the food is lovely....

We popped in mid week after work for a drink and ended up staying for dinner. It's a local pub so has no finesse but fed us when we were hungry for little more than you'd pay for a Chinese. 4 drinks & 2 mains for £30 Bf had pie and I had lasagne, his pie was gorgeous but the lasagne was a bit dry so we swapped :)

Food is quite good pub food for the price. It's not fine dining - but it's better than you expect given the low price points. Reasonably extensive menu. Staff are good. Dining room usually empty except on Sundays when they do a carvery (no menu option) and you should book.

Food was absolutely great, me and the Mrs go out quite often and try new places this has now become one of out best meals out and one of the best that we have had for a long time, the mix grill was outstanding, great value for money when the 2nd is brought for half price, with a quick and polite service, I am one for picking fault where I can but I cannot pick fault the food what so ever... there is one and only one bad point, this is the reception you get when you walk in and this has always been the same, as you walk in you get met by the regular drinkers and sometimes in large numbers in the lounge area on your way though to the seating area, this is quite intimidating even to a big chap like myself, do not let this put you of, there is a side entrance which I always forget about.. all being said the food was great and will definitely be going again....

Very disappointed from the moment we walked in to the time we left. Was met by a barman with a cigarette behind his ear, not a good look. The mixed grill not lacking in quantity but I have to say quality was not good. Everything over cooked and hard.the pie which was the other meal again over cooked and hard to digest.having told the waitress and the barman about this the only reply was sorry about that I'll have a word with the chef. Sorry not good enough.

We eat here quite regularly now and I feel I must write a review. The food here has improved so much especially in the last year or so. The meals here are always hot and nicely cooked and well presented. My husband often has the surf and turf and always comments on how good the steak is, one of my favourites is the fish pie, it is so tasty and has a nice portion of fish and a great sauce. The staff are very friendly. Over all great pub food, good value for money. Thanks Kate and the team

I've lived in the area all of my life, I've never been into the Winstantley, but, I thought I try it with my friends in tow.Kerb appeal is possibly the Winstanleys better side, inside belies a fierce welcome.A barmaid greated me and my friends by 'coldly' asking what we wanted. It wasn't a great start. We had a few drinks which were exceptionally well priced and as you'd expect from a local brewery, quite comforting really. There was a distinct lack of atmosphere and honestly, if I had a drink there every day is become a non drinker. It's probably not somewhere is go back to.

17 of us met for a Christmas meal. The food was excellent. It was hot and and tasty with a good choice. Much better than some hotel Christmas meals I have had. The service was good and we were made to feel very welcome. The price was also excellent as many Christmas meals are usually more expensive.

Visited the Winstanley for a works Christmas fundraiser. Thanks for the Arms for their support tor that. However that's where the thanks stop. The meal was a carvery with the usual hand carved meat and help yourself veg'. The chef was polite and considerate and has that great skill of being able to treat each person as individuals. However once we had our plate full of food it was apparent after the first mouthful that it was tasteless, with the only flavour being the gravy. Disappointing.I purchased a cup of tea/coffee and I couldn't believe it was from a slot in pod machine. The coffee was awful and tea not much better. Come on Winstanley put some taste into it!

Our first visit to the Red Cow, it will not be our last. First impressions count and this did not disappoint. Brilliant atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, well kept and presented cask ale, and great food. I will now apologise to Sean, who must've thought 'we've got one here' when I asked to speak to the duty manager. I just wanted to say a personal thank you to the person running such a great service. Thank you all.

I booked a table for 4 people at 2pm to celebrate a Birthday and anniversary. On arrival stood at the reception desk, no one came i had to go and find a member of staff. She looked on the system and said she couldn't find our booking, she said 'never mind we have spaces'. We were taken to a table and we sat down and she walked off. No one came to take a drinks order we were going to queue and get our carvery but there was only scraps of Beef and no turkey and no staff member at the Carvery station so we sat back down No one still came to our table so we had to stop someone walking past us. She wasnt' very friendly and seemed annoyed at our complaints. We asked if any more meat was being prepared, as we were prepared to get up and leave. She went to find out and said a Turkey as being prepared. Therefore we stayed. The Chef doing the carvery was friendly, but the food below standard the veg were either dried up or cold, no one rotating it or replenishing (my dad asked them to change the hard stuffing which they did) really unhappy and certainly wished we had not come. The drinks were expensive, £12 for 3 glasses of coke, we didn't refill as only there a short time. The Female member who we paid was very pleasant, we told her we were not happy she apologised, but nothing can take away the bad experience we had
