Sainsbury's Cafe in Blaby

Decent spot, same as any big chain.

Great food at great prices in a pleasant, comfortable restaurant.

The cafe is poorly run little indain lady at the till is so rude . Won’t be eating here again .

We went to the cafe for breakfast. We know when we go there is usually a wait to get to ordering food and waiting for it to be served but although I don’t go often I’ve found the food to be good. However today was the worst experience ever. Waited over 30mins for 3 breakfast. When it did come out it was cold. Heard staff asking customers what they had ordered as there had been some mess up with the tickets. Heard staff offer a free drink to someone who waited 10mins but we got no offer at this stage. We sent the cold food back, finally got offered a free drink for our trouble. Waited another 30mins for it to come out cold again. Sent it back and got a refund. Staff not happy with each other. Telling customers there was only 4 in kitchen and in training so not experienced. Also staff not happy there was no management to manage the team. Atmosphere not great. Left without eating and also without getting shopping as frustrated by the hour wasted

Always look forward to our breakfast on a Friday, where staff are so friendly, especially Banu.

Breakfast was very nice good price and delivered to the table quicker than I expected

Had to wait ages for my drink while my wife's was going cold. Food was ready before my coffee so was cold by the time I could sit down! System seemed to be non-existant on our visit!

As a customer of Sainsburys anyway I have been in the Cafe a few times mainly for a coffee and a piece of cake , probably a main coarse a couple of times,I would describe the Cafe as adequate but could be better,I think it's quite competitively priced though and seems to be well populated with the older generation.

Stopped on way back from fosse Park nowhere to get a bite or coffee M&S chocoblock half car park closed off again Sainsbury's was great, just the ticket fish finger sandwich coffee and cold drinks absolutely great

Good get away from the torture of shopping. The best thing is that there's so much seating so unless you go at a peak time you can sit in peace

Took my disabled mother-in-law to Sainsbury's, Fosse Park. First time she's been to a supermarket in 4 years. She had an eye test at Specsavers, which took more time than usual as she has severe vascular dementia. We did a little shopping in store. And went upstairs to the cafe for a coffee and a bite to eat. Then drove back to her care home after an enjoyable few hours in Sainsbury's. Today I received a parking fine for £85.00 for overstaying 20 minutes in a disabled parking space. It took longer than 20 minutes getting my mother-in-law in and out of the car, including 2 visits to the disabled toilet. I've never been burgled before. Daylight robbery. Of course I'm going to appeal. Hopefully someone at Euro Parks will have a conscience, otherwise I may have to see them in court? May even write a letter to Mr. Sainsbury. I like a challenge.

Relaxing and spacious places with many comfortable seatings and massive windows around. Perfect spot for coffee or a small meal before shopping.

Staff always friendly and food delivered pretty quickly.

Good value coffee and toasty. Nice clean airy seating area. Really friendly staff - polite even when I spilled my coffee everywhere!

Long queue. Lovely lady on till. Breakfast came x 3. Weird beans as they were hard. Bacon chewy. Hash browns were dry. Toast came with no butter. When asked I was told 20p each! Who has dry toast? By the time someone actually acknowledged me when I asked for butter, my lukewarm breakfast was stone cold. Tea came without milk and was told jug on counter. When went over the milk was in a serving jug that everyone was using. Very unhygienic. Won't be back.

We had a nice lunch here. The children's hot meal on offer was a very good size! The toastie had plenty of filling, however it probably could have done with a little bit more toasting. All the food came out hot. The children's lunchbox selection was disappointing which is why we went with a hot meal - no sandwiches to choose from and the crisps were all ready salted.

Just stopped over for coffee and bite to eat as it was raining heavily. Had a Mocha and Cheese and Onion quiche. The food was delicious and the service was adequate. I enjoyed the food and the Mocha. I would definitely go again.

All day breakfast, Mrs Stilton swapped a sausage for an extra egg, food arrived promptly, the plates were hot, first floor restaurant, choice of bread for toast, clean toilets 🚻 on the same floor. Sainsburys at Grove triangle. A word of warning though, the traffic gestapo have declared war on the car park, please read the signs and if you are shopping and planning to eat, keep your receipts and tell customer services, to keep the Goebbels parking company at bay! It happened to us, but because we had our receipts, Sainsburys shot them down! We'll be back!

Usually plenty of places to sit. Food & coffee nice. Staff polite.

Ordered fish and chips with peas. They were n8ce. Good quality fish , and no a drop of oil or grease in the plate. Maybe they were air fried? I dont know, but they were good. ....only downside was, you could literally count the chips...so few chips in the plate

I visited Sainsbury cafe recently I was very happy with friendly service with friendly staff at the cafe I believe your staff Bhanu was ever so friendly calm and so bubbly at the counter when ordering my food and Hot drinks, she seems a very highly dedicated member of the staff she is good assets to the company I have visited many times but Bhanu is always friendly and happy and very hard working member of the staff. she is wonderful woman.

Always good go for breakfast every Wednesday

Great for an all day breakfast but kids meal options unrealistic. No meal includes chips as an option when all the adult meals come with chips. No child wants carrot sticks, broccoli and mashed potato with pizza or nuggets...

Hmmmm, not been here for some time, my last visit was awesome - not this time though!!! The food was warm, I had a breakfast, the beans looked like they'd been on the plate for a couple of hours, the mushroom didn't seem a fungi, the hash brown, well, it was a hash, over done and rather in the crispy side, sausages weren't bad, but the bacon was brittle. Not a pleasant experience today....... 😭

Shame about Sainsbury's Vegetarian Breakfast - it's good points are that it is cheaper and less oily than the equivalent in Morrisons Cafe but its sausages are disgusting, I can't even describe what they taste like, they have a unique taste that's not palatable. Though the great thing about their café is that you can still collect points unlike Morrisons who no longer do. Sadly I won't ever have their breakfast if they continue to serve these sausages.

Awful customer service from Gemma and her attitude when I ask for butter… Since when do you charge for butter on a jacket potato?!! I mean it’s a potato! You actually charged me 20p for it. Also the soup menu needs to be changed as it’s been the same since before covid so that no excuse. I’m baffled over this I really am. We was always a sainsburys shopper spending £200 a week. Safe to say we will be changing supermarkets. What a shame.

Black toast was disgusting, sausages looked cooked on one side only, beans and egg were cold and we waited over 20 minutes for our food to arrive. I personally don't eat tomatoes but recieved feedback from my family that they didn't taste right. Will not be returning for breakfast.

Feel of a hotel lobby. Spacious. Reasonable prices. Amazing pavlova. Soup and cooked meals. Toilets upstairs and downstairs.

Enjoyed my breakfast here remembering to ask for well done sausages. Food arrived fairly quickly and was value for money.

£20 for a family of four to eat. We were impressed with the £2.75 children's meals, complete with drink and piece of fruit - very good value for money. Lasagne and chicken tikka masala were tasty and decent portion sizes. Lots of seating in the cafe, comfy orange leather chairs. Decent.

The breakfast in Sainsbury was really good, the place was very clean, staff are very helpful and nice.

..or a coffee and snack in between shopping. Lift to the first floor if you have a trolley or can't manage the stairs. Pleasant atmosphere and plenty of comfy seating or tables and chairs.

Average cafe to have a meet up with friends.Choice of foods limited to what is available instore but service is ok.

I usually come hear and have a very good breakfast. I have a big breakfast and a yogurt and a roll. Recently I went and they had changed the tables and chairs and the tables are lower and the chairs are comfortable so it does not bother me that much. I recommend this place to have a bite to eat before shopping

We have used this cafe regularly,however there was the fiasco with the low tables recently and now the standard of food has dropped.

The food and prices are still good , but they have had new tables and orange chairs , The tables are far too low to comfortable eat a meal , seems a stupid idea as it's a restaurant ! , They seem to be a last resort to sit on by the customers using the restaurant and a total waste of space

The restaurant has recently had a 'revamp' the problem is its style over substance, they've clearly gone for the coffee customer ( if you can bear the long queues to get served) and installed low tables with orange leatherette chairs, the problem is that they're too low to eat off especially for the older folk meaning they have a fruitless walk around the restaurant trying to find a table of sensible height that you can actually eat a meal off, they desperately need more high normal height tables, its not rocket science, but the management don't seem to get it, which brings me onto the queues to get served, I counted 27 people in a queue last week, leading from the counter past the lift to the top of the stairs, now if I ran this establishment, I'd be asking what the heck is going on? the staff work hard enough its not their fault, but the serving counter is chronically understaffed at peak times, I see the same every week, if I can see it, all the customers can see it, why can't those that run the cafe?

New cafe colour scheme and layout looks really nice. Could do with more of the medium height tables as the low ones are not suitable to eat a meal off.

Varied menu cost about £6 maximum Have been here many times over many years but over the last few months the quality and quantity have certainly gone down and on the last visit Both my wife and myself only ate half. Would not return again

Staffing at busy times for front of house are ridiculous . Sat morning just before 12, one till out of three open and it’s always the same. Long queues of people, in fact those in front of me gave up and left queue due to time it was taking.

A great venue for a cup of coffee and a snack.

We enjoy coming here with our young children for a reasonably priced coffee and food. My children enjoy the splendid view of the carpark below.

I have been coming here since mid August 2018 and for the first one or two times it was an OK experience. Then things were different. We used to go twice a week to this cafe since my kid was enrolled in the explore learning.

The waiting at the till is frustrating. Two tolls and only one person taking order. The crux of the issue seems to be the new coffee machines that have been installed and absorbs a lot of time. Coffee is good when it comes but you have to ask for it to be hot, because it often is not. I had the smashed avocado on a muffin with smoke salmon. The muffin was so soggy and under toasted it was horrible. The traditional breakfasts my colleagues had were good, but not generous portions by any means. Soft drinks such as fruit juices and smoothies in bottles are extremely expensive compared to the same product on the shop floor below. Toilets are absolutely filthy, they are truly disgusting.

We go to the cafe on a weekly basis a couple of times a week. Always found the food nice. The staff are pleasant and friendly. Fish and chips nice as is the bangers and mash. If your after a quick and simple meal or snack worth a visit. Average cost is about 15 pounds for two with tea and coffee

After doing our shop for the week enjoyed a reasonably priced meal which was served quite quickly and was very tasty.

I ordered breakfast and waited 35 mins, ok, but not great, next time I went in it was an early tea time, not that busy and I ordered fish and chips, now I under stand its cooked from fresh but 45 mins is too long, and the chips were cold, I had gone past it by this point and just ;left, wont be bothering again

I often drop in to this cafe for a toasted teacake and coffee while my car is being washed in the car park by some very friendly guys who do an excellent job. They offer tasty hot meals and a variety of sandwiches. They also provide a good selection of cakes and scones. The staff are always friendly and helpful. What I like particularly about this supermarket cafe is that it is upstairs away from the noise and bustle of the shop itself. It has large glass windows and a mezzanine section with all round glass view. I like being up high and I can see my car being washed while I eat. There is also a lift if you have difficulty with stairs.

Normally food is good, tonight it was poor.

This is a much better alternative than getting ripped off eating horrible food at the motorway services. less than 5 minutes from the motorway and good food at good prices.

Visited sainsburys leicester north store

Arriving part way through the shopping tasks, this cafe provided a great cup of tea, with scone, shortbread and lovely fresh fruit.

We had to nip into Sainsbury’s tonight for a quick bit of shopping. We decided at the last minute to have a quick meal in the cafe to save time.

SLOW!!!!!!!! Waited over half an hour for scrambled eggs on toast. I had to chase them up then the toast was not cooked at all. Lot's of customers but the chef staff must be so busy.

We call in quite regularly for a quick lunch. A fresh ham salad hits the spot. We have CV e them made freshly for us if none are ready. Service with a smile. Rare today but always there here.

Paramos para desayunar mientras haciendo nuestras compras. El desayuno era caliente y estaba bien. Fue entregado en tiempo y el precio era razonable. Una pequeña queja es que hay poco donde elegir lo que entra en un desayuno inglés completo. Es todo o nada, mientras que quizás una versión ligera podría ser un buen bocado.

I visited Sainsbury's cafe today I got in the que at 11.14am I finally got severed at 11:48am it wasn't very busy at all, the system they have in place for the ordering and paying needs reviewing, I food I actually wanted they stopped serving at 11:30am so I had to have something different through no fault of my own, I mentioned to the girl on the till that I wanted a breakfast but I've been in the que that long I now have to have a brunch,it was met with a vacant look, I left most of the food as I'm not a fan of mushrooms and tomato. On the up side the rest was very delicious and the eggs were done to perfection, the till system does need looking at as there are a lot of elderly people visit this cafe and standing around that long just to get a cuppa isn't nice.

Following my terrible previous visit last month where I was served raw sausages and bacon, popped in again but this time specifically for well done bacon and sausages and I must say the breakfast was very good. I have learnt, unless you want raw ask

Siempre hemos disfrutado la tarta vegetal en el pasado [de hongos y espinacas con salsa] en un barco, puré de patatas y guisantes. Por desgracia, esta vez la salsa se sirve en la comida, demasiado para nosotros y el puré era muy "bastante pesado." El higo fue excelente como siempre, y tuvimos el servicio con una sonrisa. La próxima vez tendremos patatas fritas sin salsa. Lástima, porque preferiríamos puré.

Visited the cafe on a couple of occasions whilst in the area. It's a supermarket cafe, reasonable price's, average service, large seating area with mediocre coffee and cake.

Met an old friend here to catch up had a few cups of tea and a “meal” then shopping overstayed the 3 hour parking by 20 mins got a bill for £70.00!!!!!I used to shop here 3 times a week now will never go to the store again.BEWARE

Average kind of place but in a supermarket I wouldn't expect much more. Tables are kept clean but the floor was less so. Food looked good. I only had cake and tea. Good prices especially the tea at £1 for a pot. The cake was good too

Thus used to be a reasonably priced cafe serving filling and value for money food. However with recent visits, food quality and portion size has suffered, the restaurant is cold and uninviting and definitely avoid the coffee.

Antes de começar as compras resolvi comer algo e pedi dois redações de pizza. Somente com um já resolveu meu "problema", são enormes.Tinha uma promoção compre 5 fatias e leve 6, ou seja uma pizza inteira, maior que as grandes do Brasil. Cada pedaço custava 1 pound.

very chilly cafe, kept my coat on. lots of girls serving but kept having to repeat my order. mozarella and pesto panini said it had sun dried tomatoes as well but they were big watery plain tomatoes !! not quite the same. apart from this it was all average and reasonably priced.

The food is at best average but the service is shockingly bad. I've had the wrong food brought to the table, missing items from the meal, staff not knowing what was ordered, absolute shambles.God knows how the kitchen staff cope with such incompetent staff front of house.Buck up your ideas.

Cafe was freezing, as was my breakfast. Very disappointed as the new sainsburys cafe near Melton road has a exceptional cafe. :-(

I have had a snack in here on many occasions. The staff are always friendly and pleasant. The coffee is good and on the occasions that I have had main meals they have been off a very good standard and good value.

As a person with mobility issues, it is really nice when people arenaturally kind and courteous. The Café Staff at Sainsbury's on Melton Road are absolute gems. The tables are cleared and wiped, they take time to pass the time of day with you, and make sure you have everything you require.The food is well presented, hot and tastes good. We like the scrambled eggs on the breakfast, which give a great start to the trek of shopping!!!!

For me a decent shopping experience has to incorporate at least a cuppa and this place fits the bill nicely. I enjoy sitting in this cafe looking out the window watching the world go by. I once had ham, egg and chips which was served quickly and was superb, I have eyed the breakfasts of others here and they look very mouthwatering. The only gripe I have is the long queues, but I have little patience in general for waiting in line. I would certainly recommend calling in for a lovely cup of Earl Grey or if your peckish, you can't go wrong ordering something from the very reasonably priced menu.

fosse park Sainsburys cafe is a lovely chilled place to eat , the food is good with lots of choice , the all day brunch is good and lots of veggie choice , service is fast and the prices are competitive , recommend to eat here

Really had the urge for a fry up so decided to go to asda on Fosse park but on arrival found out that they didn't do breakfast after 11am so looked at the new menu as theyve recently had a refit and the menu had totally changed and all what was on menu was slice off pizza or tea/coffee so decided to go to sainsburys.On arrival to sainsurys noticed that they didn't do brekki after 1130 so had missed out but the menu was much better than asda so had a look and on the menu was a brunch which was basically a fry up but with chips so both off us opted for this and a latteThe food came and out and was amazing the food was lovely well cooked and plentiful.All in all the meal was lovely and service was a credit to sainsburys.

acess is by lift from the main shop. and the walkways are a little narrow apart from this quite plesent caff we mostly have a breakfast before shoping. the acessable toilet is good the staff are friendly mostley gets quite bisey at peek times.

For value it is hard to beat the bacon sandwich here with everything freshly cooked and packed with meat. However the café was a little scruffy and the coffee just ok !

I went in with a friend for a quick bite to eat. Ordered a bacon and sausage sandwich. Was amazing. Service was quick easy and friendly and cost is reasonable. Overall definitely recommend!

Now I like a cup of tea but in Sainburys you can only have a mug which is nice in a transport cafe... And if you happen to have a hot chocolate you will be lucky enough to have 1 enormous marshmallow stuck in it. Why?The food is hot and tasty but unless you get the specials it is slightly expensive. I like the view over the car park and the staff are very pleasant.

Nicely spaced out and really nice food. Because the food is made to order it is always really good. The breakfast and breakfast sandwich is really nice and the hot chocolate is amazing.

Had a very good meal at Sainsbury's cafe at Oadby, Leics. The cafe was very pleasant and the staff were efficient and friendly. Will definitely go there again when in the area.
