Left my bag there. And went back a week later to find the staff had looked after it for me. Very helpful staff member took time to take me to find it.

Filthy, smelly, run down men's toilets on the northbound side create a very Third World impression (probably doesn't help that I was returning home from the Netherlands tbf). You'd only use them if you really, really had to.

Good place to stop with a coach, many toilets and plenty of different opportunities to eat or drink something

Average breakfast, good tea (Yorkshire) Vikeche made a splendid job of clearing our table quickly and efficiently. I noticed he seemed to be the cook as well so hats off to him for his hard work.

Stopped off for a bottle of Stacey and to fondle some cuddly animals and we weren’t left lacking in any way shape or form. Goods acquired and a cheap laugh under our belt we sailed on to Leeds. I even had time for a quick wee and a ride on the shaking car in the atrium. Would recommend to anyone over the age of 16.

Nice place for a quick stay, We had good time and good food. Good service, Nice and professional staff. Wild stop every time now on.

breaking down is always a pain and having to stay over night can be stressful and expensive but days in facilities and the incredibly friendly, helpful and polite chap staffing the front desk made the experience considerably less stressful. the man is an absolute legend.

South bound needed to have a wee went into services women cleaner blocked my way and said I could not go as she had entered there shit attitude said there where other toilets but they where to far away ended up going in bush so much for a welcome break

Not a fan of these services at all. Hate the up/down set up. The downstairs feels very cramped.

Stopped off for a KFC meal and drink which was much welcomed. Good portion control and area regularly kept clean.

It's a motorway service area, what more can I say?

Kept saying staff discount 5 times but the old man with bold head didn’t take it serious and processed the transaction without. When I confronted he goes well it’s too late. I bloody said 5 times what else am I supposed to say? On top he didn’t say sorry or apologise. Walked away very rudely.

This is for the north bound side. If you want to smell sewage before you enter the doors then you won’t be disappointed. This place stunk. Plus the fact if your a coach company the coach park has been taken over by foreign registered HGV’s.

Sat in the seating area on the bridge, good food choices there and we went on a cold rainy day and it was lovely and warm inside and nice and clean. Would recommend.

Pulled in for a quick break and was impressed by how well-maintained everything was. The staff was friendly, the food was hot and fresh, and the seating area was spacious and clean. A great experience overall!

If you are driving (or a passenger) going down the MI and you need a break, for whatever reason, and you find yourself approaching this place, you're in luck !! There are toilets, shops, cafés, but you have to park your car or you won't be able to use the facilities, so, to say this place is 'On the M 1', would be a lie, it's just off the M 1, near Leicester, oh and there's one al.ost exactly like it on the other side of the road..amazing that !!

Easy to park. Plenty of parking space. For both cars and Lorries. No pot wholes and excessive turns and twists.

Never have I experienced a more enchanting place. The road on could do with patching though.

There are plenty of services here. The place is a little dated and needs a clean up but overall it is a decent place to stop. The bridge restaurant is always busy. Convenient services location.

Slowest hgv pumps on the motorway. I grew a beard waiting for my tank to fill. Keep driving truckers life's too short...

Really annoyed with both north and south services at Leicester. Went to north services on the way to Derby and there was no working electric charging facilities. The toilets were also disgusting. Not impressed. I then pulled into the south services on the way back from Derby as I was starting to run low on charge with exactly the same problem. The road layout trying to exit was badly laid out. I ended up going a further 20 miles down M1 to Northampton services for charge which were really good.

Loved finding a Taco Bell in the UK. Wish there were more of them. Reminded me of Florida

I just don't know how this place can achieve a 3.5 star rating overall. It's filthy, the services are awful. It needs complete a renovation.

A welcome change from other motorway services. The truck parking area wasn't full of holes and didn't smell of piss. Probably the first truck parking area I could say that about. I decided to use the fried breakfast place behind taco Bell. Well done the lady's cooking and serving. The whole thing was great. Service with a smile, I had the big breakfast and every item on the plate was great.

Although new showers the water is so cold. For some of us who drive up and down the country bringing you the goods, there is no other way to get clean our self's. Talking to the lady on northbound that there is no hot water in there , she suggested that I have to wait because they opened now the boiler and it takes time to come over , probably from Scotland I suppose. On the southbound same situation again and the mature Indian lady said that there are no complaints so far and everyone finds it very good.and she turn away from me when I'm was talked to her and start talking with someone else who wanted to have the fob, while in both cases someone else was in the showers before me, already screaming that the water is cold. What can a man say about the inability of some to be in the real world. Because I'm travelling all the UK I have to say that in my opinion in England the services policy is to get rid truckers somehow. It is not possible for the so-called engineers who adjust the temperature or the water, just make it from cold to almost boiling in some other services. Only on Wales they have some with mixing tabs, something that should be EVERYWHERE. If you guys, who built all those things new just to avoid any lawsuit because they were filthy, you think that people going in there doesn't belong to the human race, then you better think again. Thanks for your time.

El personal muy agradable en The drive thru (hacia el sur) eran muy alegres y dulces con nuestros perros que estaban en un largo viaje. Les di un poco de puppaccino en una taza. Gracias chicos pararemos aquí de nuevo. Cafés calientes y deliciosos también.

We stopped for an all day breakfast and our items were cleared away by Vikeche. What a polite, caring person he was so I felt you should know. He is a credit to the team at the Welcome Break Motorways service station.

Disgusting toilets. Can’t use showers without paying WHSmith. Foodcourt is closed at night and opens at 6am.

Visited several times over many years. Usually use for a toilet break on way to or from holiday. Occasionally have food- good range of options to choose from, prices to be expected from motorway services but overall reasonable. Very clean and well maintained. Thank you

Went here for food, Mrs and son had burger king which was OK even though the reviews were awful. I gmhad chopsticks which was pretty good.

Mientras viajábamos a casa después de Año Nuevo paramos en el M1 - Leicester Forest East Services - Southbound - Welcome Break donde mi hijo dejó sus Sony Headphones en Starbucks. Llamé al Starbucks Drive al día siguiente para ver si los habían encontrado. Dejé mi número y recibí una llamada de Marshall diciéndome que habían sido encontrados (¡increíblemente! Como estaba seguro de que se habrían ido). Como vivo más de 2. 5 horas de distancia recogerlos no era una opción. Marshall amablemente accedió a traerlos del Starbucks en la estación de servicio, encajonarlos y enviármelos. Lo arreglé a través de EVRI y Marshall amablemente los dejó en una entrega de EVRI. No puedo expresar mi agradecimiento a Marshall por ir más allá para asegurar que mi hijo recibiera sus auriculares de vuelta. Hay gente realmente amable en el mundo. Gracias Marshall.

We stopped here on the way from London to Sheffield at lunchtime and had Taco Bell for the first time, served by Ruby - who was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Services are clean with great views of the M1 both north-and-southbound through large windows. Pleased to find that it’s open all year round too - even in winter.

Staff very pleasant considering what they have to serve up and the surroundings. No heating working today, coffee tasteless, upholstery filthy and then charging over £4 a cup. Starbucks and headquarters, you’ve got some serious work to do here. We are not the first to tell the team here…..

Toilets could have been much more cleaned as it seemed someone had an accident in one of the cubicles.

A good place to park while freshen up, clean showers and the upstairs cafe pretty good too overlooking the motorway.

Our usual M1 stop when travelling nice view from the car park of the Motorway so can count up Eddie stobart vehicles such a shame the old cabs are no longer. Food outlets good but the waitrose outlet sells sandwiches out of thus world their pulled steak and caramelised onion chutney with watercress is amazing as are their own line of yogurts. Toilets always clean when inhave visited.

Served by Raj in the petrol station; quick, efficient and friendly.
