Welcome Break Leicester Forest East in Blaby

Whilst travelling home after New Year we stopped at the M1 - Leicester Forest East Services - Southbound - Welcome Break where my son left his Sony Headphones in Starbucks. I phoned the Starbucks Drive through the following day to see if they had been found. I left my number and got a call from Marshall telling me they had been found (amazingly!!! As I was sure they would have gone). As I live over 2.5hrs away collecting them was not an option. Marshall kindly agreed to get them from the Starbucks in the service station, box them up and post them to me. I arranged it via EVRI and Marshall kindly dropped them at an EVRI drop off. I cannot express my gratitude to Marshall for going above and beyond to ensure my son received his headphones back. There are truly kind people in the world. Thank you Marshall.

It has everything you need at a service's access from both sides of motorway, plenty of parking, always busy

Do not recommend Subway at this service. Staff does not know what they are doing.

As service stations go, did the job on giving the driver a breakin a relaxing atmosphere. Wide variety of food outlets to choose from. Facilities nice and clean. Excellent

This service centre is a popular and pleasant service station south bound heading towards Coventry and Leicester An ample supply of services, food, parking ( Cars & HGV) and even outside picnic areas. This is much better than a typical motorway services

We went to the northbound Starbucks drive through at Welcome Break J21 Leicester. We were served by Lily and Liv who were very friendly and polite as always. Had the best chocolate frappe with vegan cream. (Ever)..! Place was immaculate as always. Keep up the good work.

Saturday evening there are still places. The cost of parking for the weekend is £68, of which £24 is for use in restaurants. Unfortunately, you can't pay with either UTA or DKV, only a regular payment card, payment in the building, at a machine. It's all the same as it happens in UK services, the toilet and shower are free of charge, you have to go to WH Smith to get the key to the shower, it's just a pity that it's terribly moldy and it's hard to breathe... For walkers, you can leave the parking lot, 6 km walk to the center of Leicester, but there are also buses.

Been here a few times. There is alot of seating and a big choice when it comes to food and drink.

Stopped here for years on route to football to get a breakfast - now being replaced with a taco bell - whoever makes these decisions needs sacking

Lunchtime midweek stop. Miserable place; cold, low ceilings, and overcrowded. Same as the ‘Welcome’ break we stopped at 100 miles further south. Buildings are from the 60s and have been patched up. Avoid.

You really need to spend some of your ludicrously high HGV parking income on the HGV park !!

Plenty of parking, good array of shops! Hard to go wrong with a service station!

Stopped here on a coach trip. Its okay, ground floor area can get a bit crowded when busy.

Llegamos a Starbucks en el lado norte de la M1 en Leicester Forest East y pedimos un sándwich de salchicha y dos tazas medianas de té. Mientras se hacían me di cuenta de que las bolsas de té estaban siendo puestas en tazas de papel. Dije “si son para mí, por favor, póngalos en tazas adecuadas, no en tazas de papel para llevar”. Cuando estuvieron listos, la asistente, que ahora sé que era Olivia, los puso en el mostrador y les dijo “si quieren en el interior tienen que decir, te han cobrado por llevar”, luego siguió un intercambio cuando dijo que es un café para llevar. Dije que no tienes señal para decir eso. Hay mesas y sillas en un área discreta para Starbucks y por qué nadie preguntó si quería comida para llevar. ¡Es un café! No, ella dijo, es su responsabilidad decírnoslo. Consideré su tono como si fuera una maestra de escuela despidiendo a un niño. No solo fue contundente en su tono, sino que también declaró lo que parece ilógico. Seguramente un café que también hace comida para llevar y tiene algún sentido de servicio al cliente debe preguntar al cliente cuál es su elección. Claramente, ella parece pensar diferente. En ningún momento se ofreció a devolver la diferencia de precio. Fue una experiencia completamente desagradable. Ya sea que use Starbucks o cualquier otro punto de venta, espero que los asistentes estén centrados en el cliente. Si los clientes son tan poco importantes para un negocio como Olivia parece pensar, me lo pensaré dos veces antes de usarlos de nuevo. La próxima vez conseguiré mis bebidas de un punto de venta de hamburguesas. Olivia está en el trabajo equivocado a menos que sea verdaderamente representativa del servicio al cliente de Starbucks. Mis visitas anteriores a varios cafés Starbucks me llevan a pensar que sus asistentes no piensan como ella. Me pregunto si es porque trabaja en una estación de servicio de autopistas donde miles de personas llaman todos los días y generalmente tienen bajas expectativas del servicio que reciben.

Basic but extremely clean,staff were really polite was well worth the money and had really good nights sleep.was actually more comfy than my bed at home

Good enough place, but prices absolutely extortionate! Paid £3.85 for an ordinary sized bag of jelly babies. Really can't think where they get their ideas on pricing - solely based on having a captive audience!

Visited during revamp, but food & services were very good

Llegó a los servicios para encontrar a unos 9 hombres tratando de averiguar el problema que afecta a la zona principal de comida para el desayuno que estaba cerrada, por lo que se dirigió a Starbucks para pedir café y un bacon bap. Solo puedo decir que es el peor bacon de tocino de humo que he probado, para poner la salsa marrón abrí el bap para ver la mayoría de las capas finas de tocino en rodajas y grasa de la historia, pero como tenía hambre procedí a comerlo, bap de sabor terrible. Necesito echar un vistazo a lo que los Greggs hacen por los bacon baps, por contexto leí algunas de las otras reseñas sobre Starbucks y tengo que estar de acuerdo en que es un lugar pobre para visitar, incluso el café no es nada genial. Mejor aparcar y beber tu propio café en frasco que gastar un buen dinero.

Nice service station very clean and tidy good place to have a rest from driving.

Food etc good. The ladies toilets, looked largely clean but there was an overpowering smell of foul smelling, putrid urine around the room. A discordant contrast to very modern hand dryers.

Ok for a break from driving??? But the service station it self is showing its age 🙁🙁 old and tired

Absolutely revolting toilets. Didn't eat here because the who place reeked of stale urine. Needs a deep steam clean. Grim.

Llegué a la unidad a través y ordenó, solo para ver mientras conducía hacia el mostrador el hombre / asistente preparando mi comida / café hurgando su nariz, dar la vuelta y luego comerlo. Al voltear continuó frotándose la nariz mientras yo pagaba y pasaba la comida por encima. Tbh no estaba realmente seguro de qué decir, ya que estaba en shock. Sencillamente terrible experiencia.

Very good service with good selection of food places

Nice place. Sone construction going on in the food area which was a bit off putting. Great breakfasts. Bathrooms were not as clean at other motorway services.

Can be very busy/full for HGV drivers after certain time ! If you are after food on your visit at either Burger King or KFC DO CHECK YOUR ORDER before you leave !!!!!! 😉

Perhaps the services itself are not bad but the food companies within it are shockingly woeful.

South toilets were absolutely spotless when I came today. Clean despite the lots of football fans.

I normally stop here if travelling Southbound or Northbound bound, Great Service station. Everything from hot food, drinks, toilets and shop and of course fuel. Lovely clean place.

Only bought newspaper and had a break in our vehicle.

I often stop here while travelling up and down the M1. Always seems to have just enough parking for cars, always busy due to its location. Has the usual fast food options in the food court which overlooks the motorway. The service station is clean and you are not knocked out with toilet smells in the gents like some others

Nothing special, just a service stop. Seen worse, seen better too. Maybe more of the latter, but...

You will rest on the road and eat something good.

Dad cant walk far so used it for loos and found another that had food both sides. Can you please make it clear on the service signs coming in whats actually on that side.

We normally avoid welcome breaks as they tend not to be the best places to stop, but this was the complete opposite, clean, tidy, friendly staff. Will certainly stop here again if I need a break

A pleasant clean and good place to stop for a break. Avoid fuel as it's very expensive.

The usual assortment of fast food and conveniences. Kept well cleaned and maintained, lift was working and staff friendly.

Literally nothing wrong with this place, did what it said on the tin. Good range of facilities and toilets clean. Everything you needed. However just nothing wow to make it five stars.

Another well-kept and clean rest area. Toilets were tip-top and fresh and there was a handy drive through for a coffee!

No EV chargers working. Not one. End result…. Batter flat and had to call out recovery before them cut services. How they can’t even have one working is baffling.

It has a lot of facilities and is family friendly. Not impressed with KFC. The tables were dirty, the food isn't good. The fries were new potatoes with skin on and most were soggy,black and mouldy. These fast food outlets charge a fortune for substandard food. At nearly 9 pounds each its disgusting. Not recommended .

Adequate place to stretch your kegs, grab some food and use the loo. It was well maintained and clean. A good selection of food and drinks and lots of toilets for those who need to run in and out quickly.

Typical service station however larger than most. Often stop here en route between London and the north of England.

The toilets were a disgrace. I had to clean the least offensive one. I still feel ill thinking about the experience.

The toilets aren't cleaned very well at all, they smell quite strong and there was urine on the floor in at least 1 of the stalls!!

Stopped for a car charge and food. We had KFC and a Burger King each. Not a lot to say apart from that. Sitting on top of a motorway. That's new.
