Do not recommend Subway at this service. Staff does not know what they are doing.

As service stations go, did the job on giving the driver a breakin a relaxing atmosphere. Wide variety of food outlets to choose from. Facilities nice and clean. Excellent

This service centre is a popular and pleasant service station south bound heading towards Coventry and Leicester An ample supply of services, food, parking ( Cars & HGV) and even outside picnic areas. This is much better than a typical motorway services

We went to the northbound Starbucks drive through at Welcome Break J21 Leicester. We were served by Lily and Liv who were very friendly and polite as always. Had the best chocolate frappe with vegan cream. (Ever)..! Place was immaculate as always. Keep up the good work.

Saturday evening there are still places. The cost of parking for the weekend is £68, of which £24 is for use in restaurants. Unfortunately, you can't pay with either UTA or DKV, only a regular payment card, payment in the building, at a machine. It's all the same as it happens in UK services, the toilet and shower are free of charge, you have to go to WH Smith to get the key to the shower, it's just a pity that it's terribly moldy and it's hard to breathe... For walkers, you can leave the parking lot, 6 km walk to the center of Leicester, but there are also buses.

Been here a few times. There is alot of seating and a big choice when it comes to food and drink.

Stopped here for years on route to football to get a breakfast - now being replaced with a taco bell - whoever makes these decisions needs sacking

Lunchtime midweek stop. Miserable place; cold, low ceilings, and overcrowded. Same as the ‘Welcome’ break we stopped at 100 miles further south. Buildings are from the 60s and have been patched up. Avoid.

Plenty of parking, good array of shops! Hard to go wrong with a service station!

You really need to spend some of your ludicrously high HGV parking income on the HGV park !!

Stopped here on a coach trip. Its okay, ground floor area can get a bit crowded when busy.

We called into Starbucks on the north side of the M1 at Leicester Forest East and ordered a sausage sandwich and two medium cups of tea. As they were being made I noticed that the tea bags were being put into paper cups. I said “if those are for me please put them in proper cups not paper takeaway cups”. When they were ready the assistant, who I now know was Olivia, put them on the counter and said “ if you want indoors you have to say, you’ve been charged for takeaway” there then followed an exchange when she said that it’s a takeaway cafe. I said you don’t have a sign to say that. There are tables and chairs in a discrete area for Starbucks and why did nobody ask if I wanted takeaway. It’s a cafe! No she said, it’s your responsibility to tell us. I considered her tone as though she was a schoolteacher telling a child off. She was not only forceful in her tone but also stating what seems illogical. Surely a cafe that also does takeaway and has any sense of customer service should ask the customer what their choice is. Clearly, she seems to think differently . At no time did she offer to repay the difference in price. It was a thoroughly unpleasant experience. Whether I’m using Starbucks or any other retail outlet, I expect the assistants to be customer centric. If customers are as unimportant to a business as Olivia seems to think, I’ll think twice about using them again. I will get my drinks from a burger outlet next time. Olivia is in the wrong job unless she is truly representative of Starbucks customer service. My previous visits to various Starbucks cafe’s leads me to think that their assistants don’t think as she does. I wonder if it’s because she works in a motorway service station where thousands of people call in every day and generally have low expectations of the service they get.

Good enough place, but prices absolutely extortionate! Paid £3.85 for an ordinary sized bag of jelly babies. Really can't think where they get their ideas on pricing - solely based on having a captive audience!

Basic but extremely clean,staff were really polite was well worth the money and had really good nights sleep.was actually more comfy than my bed at home

Nice service station very clean and tidy good place to have a rest from driving.

Arrived at the services to find approx 9 men trying to figure out the problem affecting the main breakfast food area which was closed,so turned to Starbucks to order coffee and a bacon bap. Can only say it’s the worst smoke bacon bap I ever tasted,to put the brown sauce on I opened the bap to see the mostly thin sliced bacon and fat layers ever but as I was hungry proceeded to eat it,terrible tasting bap. Need to take a look at what Greggs do for bacon baps,for context I read some of the other reviews about Starbucks and have to agree it’s a poor place to visit,even the coffee is nothing great. Better to park up and drink your own flask coffee than waste good money.

Food etc good. The ladies toilets, looked largely clean but there was an overpowering smell of foul smelling, putrid urine around the room. A discordant contrast to very modern hand dryers.

Absolutely revolting toilets. Didn't eat here because the who place reeked of stale urine. Needs a deep steam clean. Grim.

Smell was very strong when we first walked in.

It's a motorway service station, overpriced

Arrived at the drive thru and ordered, only to see as I drove towards the counter the man / assistant prepping my food / coffee picking his nose, turn round and then eat it. Upon turning he continued rubbing his nose as I paid and passed the food over. Tbh wasn’t really sure what to say as was in shock. Simply terrible experience.

Very good service with good selection of food places

Nice place. Sone construction going on in the food area which was a bit off putting. Great breakfasts. Bathrooms were not as clean at other motorway services.

Perhaps the services itself are not bad but the food companies within it are shockingly woeful.

Can be very busy/full for HGV drivers after certain time ! If you are after food on your visit at either Burger King or KFC DO CHECK YOUR ORDER before you leave !!!!!! 😉

Were not the cleanest toilets, need to keep focused as it's an important area

South toilets were absolutely spotless when I came today. Clean despite the lots of football fans.

Only bought newspaper and had a break in our vehicle.

I normally stop here if travelling Southbound or Northbound bound, Great Service station. Everything from hot food, drinks, toilets and shop and of course fuel. Lovely clean place.

I often stop here while travelling up and down the M1. Always seems to have just enough parking for cars, always busy due to its location. Has the usual fast food options in the food court which overlooks the motorway. The service station is clean and you are not knocked out with toilet smells in the gents like some others

Nothing special, just a service stop. Seen worse, seen better too. Maybe more of the latter, but...

You will rest on the road and eat something good.

Dad cant walk far so used it for loos and found another that had food both sides. Can you please make it clear on the service signs coming in whats actually on that side.

We normally avoid welcome breaks as they tend not to be the best places to stop, but this was the complete opposite, clean, tidy, friendly staff. Will certainly stop here again if I need a break

The usual assortment of fast food and conveniences. Kept well cleaned and maintained, lift was working and staff friendly.

A pleasant clean and good place to stop for a break. Avoid fuel as it's very expensive.

Literally nothing wrong with this place, did what it said on the tin. Good range of facilities and toilets clean. Everything you needed. However just nothing wow to make it five stars.

Another well-kept and clean rest area. Toilets were tip-top and fresh and there was a handy drive through for a coffee!

No EV chargers working. Not one. End result…. Batter flat and had to call out recovery before them cut services. How they can’t even have one working is baffling.

It has a lot of facilities and is family friendly. Not impressed with KFC. The tables were dirty, the food isn't good. The fries were new potatoes with skin on and most were soggy,black and mouldy. These fast food outlets charge a fortune for substandard food. At nearly 9 pounds each its disgusting. Not recommended .

Adequate place to stretch your kegs, grab some food and use the loo. It was well maintained and clean. A good selection of food and drinks and lots of toilets for those who need to run in and out quickly.

The toilets aren't cleaned very well at all, they smell quite strong and there was urine on the floor in at least 1 of the stalls!!

The toilets were a disgrace. I had to clean the least offensive one. I still feel ill thinking about the experience.

Just had takeaway coffee, but looked a good stopping place.

Stopped for a car charge and food. We had KFC and a Burger King each. Not a lot to say apart from that. Sitting on top of a motorway. That's new.

It's a motorway service area very much like any other. It is well situated on the M1 roughly halfway between London and Leeds.Plenty of parking and amenities.
