usually we have a great experience but…today we got sat at a dirty table to begin with, when ordering we were told basically everything (other than the mains) they didn’t have… mind you it was 7pm on a monday. my partner’s food came out as well as the sides, drinks came out and i was left waiting for my chicken ramen with udon noodles. by the time my partner finished his meal in full, i still hadn’t received my food so he asked our waitress (who had let us know she was training) why my food was no where to be found. tables that came in after us had received their ramen before i did. she went to ask the chefs and upon returning she let me know that they were out of udon noodles so that’s why i’ve been waiting. fun fact, my partner ordered the yaki UDON - a dish consisting mostly of udon noodles… other tables had udon noodles too - the ones after us. please make it make sense. why let me sit there for 30 mins with nothing? why not communicate between each other? so i said just take it off the bill, paid and left. wish i just didn’t pay, paid over £50 to sit there and watch someone eat. also don’t get the yaki udon - supposed to have prawns and chicken in it, only had 3 prawns in it and maybe 1/4 of a chicken breast worth of meat. utterly disappointing as it’s our usual restaurant of choice.

Came for a little graduation dinner. Food was fine. But the service…. Genuinely the worst service Ive ever experienced in my life. Me and my gf ordered Main each and side each. My gf vegetable gyoza side never came despite asking 4 different staff, and one of the staff nikki 3 different times. All replied saying “let me have a look for you”. Never came back and carried on dishing out gyozas to different table but never coming back to tell us if ours where still on the way or…. It got to the point where Nikki looked at us knowing we are still waiting (it had been about 55 minutes since we ordered) and on purposely walked away or turning and facing the other way, blatantly ignoring us for whatever reason. In the end gyoza never came and we still got charged for them. So asking the bill to be changed was another 30 min process of trying to get the attention of a waiter or waitress. The first person that offered to change said “sorry it’s my first day let me get someone”, very understandable, looked very stressed and we told him not to panick and everything’s okay. 20 mins of more waiting … no one. Now we are looking for another staff to change the bill, very rude but finally done it.we arrived at 7 pm, finished our mains by 7:30/7:45, we didn’t leave till 8:45 from waiting about for service. In addition to this we asked for water, never came, we asked for some cutlery, took 3 different attempts of getting a waiters attention politely asking for some cutlery despite each one of them saying “let me go get you some” and never coming back. It was very crowded on the table that we was on and there where plenty of tables for 2 which we politely asked if we can change as we couldn’t hear ourselves talk, we got told that the table number has already been written down on the piece of paper and nothing they can do. Overall the food was decent but the service made us feel ignored and feeling like we had to leave, which was a job in itself as no one wanted to come and help with the bill. Basically an hour of sitting about for service. It got to the point that other tables tried helping us get the waiters attention for us as they also saw we got ignored. It’s been a recurrent theme that waga has very poor service in any of their restaurants.

Working away, so needed to dine alone. Only table available on the same area as group of 8, said I didn’t feel comfortable joining on the end of a large group, asked to sit in the unused raised seating area, which seems reasonable given it was busy. Hostess couldn’t have cared less and refused as ‘area not open’, so I left. 7pm 3/9/24

Our experience with Wagamama was mixed. Although the food was excellent and our server Alfie who was new was very friendly. The kitchen forgot one of our main dishes which ended up coming 20 minutes after the rest of them, despite our server querying this with the kitchen. Hope the speed of the food improves in the future

I've had a couple of disappointing experiences with food delivery recently. One time, I found a pen spring in my meal, and today I received a katsu dish with barely any sauce and a poorly prepared salad. I usually enjoy Wagamama's food, so I'm writing this in the hope that they'll pay more attention to their food quality in the future.

This restaurant used to be really good but at the moment its just uncomfortable to go to. The staff leave the menu then go to the communal table at the back where they laugh and joke and seem to pack take away products. You have to attract someone to bother to come over, the drinks are left sitting on the bar waiting to come over and the food is just not quite right at the moment but basically its the staff very friendly but seem to think that friendliness makes up for not being too bothered. Basically they dont keep their eye on the tables at all.

The waitresses spend more time checking themselves out in the mirror than to even care to know if you want a drink before ordering food. The service is absolutely awful, they only came to take my order when saw me getting up ready to leave. The food is ok, but no matter how much I tried to get anyone's attention after having paid the bill via QR code I couldn't get a box to take my food home with me. I would argue but the food is not that brilliant anyway, so really, spend your money elsewhere and you'll be way better off.

We have always loved Wagamamas especially the one in Bromley. This one was awful. Terrible staff , nobody greeted us , nobody cleared our table or offered us more drinks or a sweet . Food was very average, my meal was cold , chicken tough. We will never go again . There were seven staff at one point doing nothing. We eventually left after giving up on our table being cleared . Also lots of things missing from the menu , we weren’t told about this until we tried to order , after waiting for ages . A dreadful Wagamama experience.

Really disappointing. We had a takeaway and the portions were so small. 4 prawns in my raisukaree curry! Is that because there’s an option when you order on line to pay £3.50 to double the prawns? There was just noting in this curry apart from red onion! Please please get this sorted

Very disappointing. Once af devotee of Wagam rince in 15 years and what a let down. Charming,super helpful girl on the door and our table service but the food was nothing like the standard we were used to. My wife actuallyleft hers as it tasted wrong altogether, inspite of being a long favourite from their menu in the past. Is this T Wells or after corporatisation, a reducation in standards that are all too common with takeovers. We will not be going back.

This time we had a sever called Toria. She was so unbelievably rude to us, terrible service! However, last time we went we had a server called Izzy and she was so lovely and amazing service, so if you get Izzy you will have an enjoyable experience but Toria on the other hand… RUN!

Great food and a nice atmosphere. Free green tea and a range of healthy freshly made juices. A wide menu and generally, a good service. They have a good range of options that are meat or fish based, vegetarian, vegan, and they even have a gluten-free menu (called a 'no-gluten' menu). The meals may be more calories than you'd think though, so if your worried about your weight, best Google the menu first. Only potential negative is that they often server your meal and your partner's meal at different times - i.e. they don't time the order to deliver all meals on your table at the same time. You can therefore find yourself either waiting for your partner's meal to arrive whilst yours goes cold or eating on your own whilst you're partner watches. Even worse if there are lots of you! Overall, though, it's a nice experience and the prices are average for that class of restaurant.

Amended my last review, unfortunately after multiple visits in the last year things have changed for the worst. Service is nowhere near where it used to be, well dressed efficient servers have gone, the last visit proved this with our server having dirt muddy shoes on and her laces untied, when my wife’s food was ready it sat on top of the counter for ten minutes while her and another member of staff that was eating food while leaning on a counter and licking his fingers between serving were laughing and having a great time. Restutant was also quiet as we visited quite late after returning from London and it was the last 45 minutes of opening time. Not sure what happened to the fantastic staff and service from the past, clear decline in both service and servers attitude. And just to reiterate, multiple visits with issues, food is still great however.

Lovely dining experience for the family. Was told due to the high numbers of people there would be quite a wait. However, we were served promptly and the drinks arrived within 10 mins and the food around 10 mins later. Lovely fresh delicious food. We had between us bao buns, gyoza, firecracker curry, yaki soba x 2 chicken and one steak. All was well presented and very tasty. Warning - the firecracker curry is hot but very nice.

We entered the restaurant, and the interior hadn't been cleaned, they told us that if we waited for about fifteen minutes, they would clean the tables for us to sit. Then, we ordered the beef brisket with teriyaki sauce, but it was served without the sauce, so the taste of the meal was poor. We asked for extra sauce, but it didn't come from one person for about five minutes. Then, we asked another person, and they brought a very small amount. Finally, we asked a third person, and they also brought a small amount, but it was too late, and the meal had gotten cold. The least they could have correct the mistake and serve the meal properly but the service standards were truly below what should be expected, and it was clear that they couldn't get the job done properly so we left without finishing our meal. It seemed like no one cared anyway. We won't be coming here again and don't recommend it."

The good news. The food is really good and rarely disappoints. Now the bad news based on last night and also several other recent visits. As customers you are invisible. Staff literally look through you when you wait at the door even when they are there next to you. Then getting attention is very difficult. Staff seem to be huddled in groups chatting. The gap between main courses being delivered is getting beyond a joke. Yes I know it’s all about getting food when it’s ready but most restaurants can cope with delivering orders from the same order at the same time, not half an hour apart. Beer was warm. A serious lack of veggie options on the menu not being available but only being told this until when we order. Just a half-hearted lame experience every time. For once I took the time to fill in the customer survey with this feedback. Reading other reviews seems like other customers have had the same experience. Does anyone actually bother to read or act on the reviews?

I came here with my partner for a meal. Upon arriving we were served by a lovely girl called Sophie, she was extremely helpful considering this was my partners first time at Wagamama, she knew the menu well and advised him on what dishes would suit his taste. In the end we both went for the Katsu Curry and we weren’t disappointed, it was amazing. She honestly made our visit so smooth and we left her a generous tip and I genuinely hope this lovely lady gets the full benefit as in my personal opinion, I would rather my tip go to my personal waitress rather than be split. Oh man, i don't know what to say anymore you see first time i have discovered wagamama was around 2009 i was a student back then, so when i finally had a time , i wanted to try it out but it was lacking alot, food was different, not much choice to choose from, more veggie options, but i also saw staff were not really there , the passion and atmosphere i wasnt feeling, waitress should tie their hair or at least put band together anyway no i wouldn't go there again, my memories are long gone

Place was noisy. Food was good if it arrived. Was dining with a friend, they had eaten their main before mine had arrived and we were still waiting for a side order whilst eating desert. Yes we did chase the side order prior to desert, but it still never arrived. Staff were too busy talking to each other to pay attention to the customers.

La seule chose positive de la soirée a été le sourire de la serveuse et le fait qu'elle transmette notre avis très négatif à sa manager qui est venue s'excuser. Nous étions 4, plutôt amateurs de cuisine asiatique, et avons trouvé tout ce qui a été servi fade, gras et mauvais. Mais c'est probablement nous qui ne sommes pas adaptés à ce qui est servi chez Wagamama car tout le monde autour de nous avait plutôt l'air heureux.

Went to Wagamamas yesterday with my son for lunch. We were seated quickly and the waiter was friendly. I ordered the yaki soba chicken and prawn but asked for no prawns. My dish arrived and it was really cold. I don’t know if it had been sitting out on top for a while. When I spoke to the waitress she was very polite and said she would change it. A Manager then brought the same plate of food back and said ‘it’s not supposed to be hot’. I understand it’s noodles and will be a lower temperature but the chicken and peppers were stone cold - like they had come straight out of the fridge. I was now a little annoyed that she was handing me this cold food back! She then said ok and took it away. They did bring free drinks and a free starter. However, when my new plate of food arrived it was hot! But it had prawns and no chicken !!!! I didn’t want to complain again as had been waiting ages for food. I will not be returning.

After a short wait, we were seated. Staff were attentive and explained well. It was clearly explained to us the food would be served when each dish was ready and not altogether . The only down side for us was that one meal was incorrect - not as per order - wrong dish but we eat it anyway as was the last dish to be served. We are not fussy - just hungry. Payment was easy using QR code

I normally really like Wagamama; my first visit to this branch was really good. Alas the 2nd time really wasn't a pleasant one, which is a shame cause it was a birthday lunch. The food was great, however the service let me down. Took ages for someone to take our order, then when we had clearly finished our food it took ages for someone to come and take our plates and ask of we wanted desert (which we were going to do but by the time they came we just wanted to go) and it was from a new server who didn't once come to check on us. I'm not sure what happened but it dampened our experience.

Didn't enjoy the experience, which is a shame as I've eaten in many Wagamama's in other cities. We were an 8 for lunch, but the greeter at door would not give us the table empty and prepared for 8, but instead gave us 2 tables. He had some attitude in his manner. Drinks order was slow, food was slower and some of it cold. Staff were huddling together for chats while people waited. I was directed to pay for the bill using the QR code and table number which annoyingly didn't work. I asked to pay by card, again a wait and when I pointed out the app failed to work was told (again with attitude) Oh well you're paying by card now in a condescending way. Wagamamma Tunbridge Wells, if you are going to direct me or anyone else to use your payment QR system and it doesn't work. Please apologise and have the decency to listen to customer feedback.

The Tunbridge Wells wagamama branch is located in a central location in town. The restaurant had a interior refurb done and expanded into the building next door creating a more spacious atmosphere and has a modern and inviting décor. The menu at Wagamama has reduced a bit since the last time I was here, but there's something to suit everyone's taste. Whether you're in the mood for noodles, rice, or even a salad, you're sure to find something you'll love. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the portions aren't too bad. The service at Wagamama is also good. The staff are friendly and attentive, and they're always happy to help you choose the perfect dish. Visited on Friday evening around 18:40, waited 5 mins for a table which was great. Waited another 15mins to be served. My husbands main and "sides" came out after 20mins. When mine hadn't come out, we asked a girl with very long eyelashes about where my "starter" was. She replied quite rudely saying "have you never been here before? They're not starters, they're sides". I said regardless, my husband has received his side and main at the same time and I haven't received anything. 45mins from ordering, none of my food had arrived so we questioned it again. Apologies were given and we were informed that there is a 50min wait for food. My main and side did come after 50mins which I then had to rush because we had tickets for a show. It would have been nice to be informed at the door the long wait for food as we would have gone elsewhere. We actually wanted dessert, but couldn't risk the long wait. Tried to pay using our phones but it didn't work, had to ask three times for a paper bill. Also the stairs to the toilet are a slip hazard, see pictures attached. Very poor. It seems that the staff are completely unable to cope during busy periods and we won't be rushing back Food was good, just a shame about the service

Worst Manager Ive ever experienced. We went to the theatre and to eat after at wagas, there was a 40 min wait for the table which we were fine with and we ate at completely different times due to it being understaffed and busy which wasn’t a big deal for us. However after returning 2 coffees at the end of the evening the Manager came over and told us that we were aggressive and ordered us to leave her restaurant. We were totally shocked, I thought it was a joke at first but no, this rude Manager who didn’t even ask what the issue was with the coffee ordered us out of the restaurant without any regard in front of everyone. We were in no way aggressive to anyone, we explained our issues with the coffee, and stated that we knew it wasn’t the waitresses fault! the waitress was young and was managing well given the pressure she was under with the restaurant being so busy. I can honestly say I’ve never experienced anything like it anywhere. I hadn’t even paid yet!! What a dreadful way to act! not only has she ruined any chance of us returning to her restaurant she didn’t even get paid for what we had tonight! What a disgraceful way to manage a business.

They really need to limit their customers numbers to the number of chefs on duty, and if the demands of takeaway outstrips the provisions of looking after restaurant clients then rethink your model. Waiting over 50 minutes for my dish to arrive just is not acceptable, for it to arrive tepid is insult to injury. I should have been told, the service delay is x minutes, then it is my choice to Waite or go elsewhere, you lose a customer for one night, today you lost a customer for ever.

So bland! Really has gone down hill. I lived in Tokyo for 5 years. This chain now has no idea how to cook Ramen. No taste. Watery. The waiter was very good but he could not make up for dull food.

Both my friend and I visited with our teenage daughters. I barely made it home with an upset stomach and my friend was the same. I contacted the restaurant and spoke to a manager and was advised they would call me the following day after they had carried out an investigation, over a week later and I’ve heard nothing. I’ve contacted Customer Service nearly a week ago and again nothing.

Wagamama is great food and service usually. I didn't think my ginger chicken udon with soba noodles was good tonight ... A bit too bland and not enough veg ingredients. It was topped with crispy onions or something which was unusual. The edamame were over boiled and lacked firm and fresh taste. Chicken Gyoza were dry and not well cooked. As I say a bit disappointed as I have this dish combination everywhere and it really is a taste of Japan usually.

Their apps are sooooo good! However all the soup dishes and plates are a lacking seasoning. It’s not comparable to authentic Raman. Still a nice atmosphere for a drink and pretty much every app!

Poor value. We went out for our grandson‘s seventh birthday and we are incredibly disappointed with our takeaway. The Katsu salad consisted of a lovely salad with a roll of burnt offering covered in breadcrumbs. No idea what it was, probably not chicken and we decided it was nuts. Considering every main dish is 14 quid it’s just not worth the money. A bowl of mainly rice with some sliced meat and £72 bill for four main dishes and a couple of sides is not good value By comparison to other restaurants Wagamama seems to have lost its way

We have now been to Thai Orchard twice and both times we were welcomed with such friendly and welcoming staff. They were attentive throughout the meal and made the whole experience enjoyable. The menu has a vast amount of options and we always seem to pick the special meal for 2 that has a variety of choice and so much food for the price. The atmosphere is relaxed and very colourful. Would recommend.

We recently had a work team dinner to celebrate the end of the quarter at The Spice. There were around 25 of us and the restaurant couldn't have been more helpful in organising the logistics of this. The staff were very attentive on the night and everyone really enjoyed the food. We'd definitely go back!
