This restaurant is amazing from the service (including interactions with our child making her laugh giving her bloons and much more!) Food was amazing so fresh, smelt delicious and was quick from ordering to table service! And mostly Amazing quality for price! The atmosphere in here is so welcoming and such a loverly vibe exactly whats needed after a long day! Thank you so much to everyone at Kirthon you guys are amazing we will be back regularly thats for sure! Also the first Indian to serve pizza too and they was absolutely delicious

I had a fantastic experience at Kirthin! Sukhi was very helpful and cooked some very nice taraka daal. The flavors were rich and authentic—especially the butter chicken and garlic naan, which were absolute standouts. The service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. Portion sizes were generous, and everything was served fresh and hot. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends. Great spot for anyone craving delicious Indian cuisine!

Visited Kirthon recently and had a great experience. The food was flavorful and well-prepared—especially enjoyed chicken tikka masala & paneer butter masala.The staff was friendly and the service was prompt. The ambiance was nice, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for good Indian food in Tunbridge wells.

Up the stairs and into the prettily lit restaurant for a tender, flavourful lamb kirthon special, with generous side dishes of smoky spinach bhaji, juicy brinjal bhaji and delicious tarka dhal. Leftovers went into smilingly provided tinfoil (not plastic! Extra points!) containers. All-round great.

Food was amazing. Had the kirthon special which was lovely and full of flavor. Service was quick and friendly. Only negative was the Nigel farage wannabe sat next to us f'ing and jeffing about immigrants the whole time.

The food was great but staff was even better! Would like to point out especially sufi and tamjid! They made sure i had food and drink promptly! Everything was smashing!

Great place for our club Christmas get together. The Kirthon team did a really good job. Good selection of options for all options either vegetarian or meat eaters.

Excellent meal, great service from friendly waiter and manager. I had a recommended lamb dish, pretty hot, and it was perfect. They apparently get swamped sometimes but we came on a quiet rainy Tuesday night and no complaints.

The manager and waiter were friendly and helpful and helped me to decide what to eat as I don’t like very spicy food. They cleverly brought me two options a chicken dish and a spinach based creamy one, both were excellent and you know this chef knows his stuff. I do recommend this restaurant and will come back soon

The mixed Kirthon kebab didn’t have any salmon and the lamb was bullet hard. Main course Kushboo curry and Karahi were absolutely tasteless, sorry off the list of good restaurants. Service was quick but food wasn’t warm.

Spent a lovely Summer evening sitting outside on the Pantiles, with delicious food and great service. I was pleasantly surprised with the cost too considering its a top notch area. The manager came for a friendly chat too. Will be back soon!

We ordered a take away from here last night. We have ordered before and the food has always been good. Last night it was very disappointing! The sauces are all thickened with flour and very stodgy. Nothing had any freshness or zing to it. The ingredients tasted cheap. It’s was very expensive wife what was delivered and the portion sizes were small! The popodoms were ok and the pershwari naans were very good. However I will definitely NOT be ordering from them again. Expensive and below par!

An outstanding curry!! Visit plenty of Indian restaurants all over the country, but this curry that I had here was probably the best curry I’ve ever had. Chefs special king prawn curry, unfortunately can’t remember the name but it was the second in the list on the Chefs Recommendations. Staff were also superb.. busy and challenging night for them, as there was as a few large groups in, yet still managed to serve me on my own plenty of times without having to call for them. Top class food and service, will be back again, if I get the chance to work back nearby, as I’m travelling from Newcastle for 2 nights.

The food is ok as it has been for years. Weather wise a nice sunny afternoon/evening. A meeting point for staff to chat after the Pantiles food fest. Dirty tables, dirty seating area in general. Lost of moans and groans from diners. Not sure I would hurry to go back.

Had a fantastic takeaway from the Kirthon tonight, kushboo chicken was amazing it arrived piping hot and promptly. My compliments the the chefs - amazing.

Enjoyed the rice but couldn't even swallow the chicken it was so dry and chewy, the lamb was ok but not worth the money i'm afraid so back to the Raj

I’ve been to Kirthon a couple of times, each time has been incredible. The food and the service were fantastic. It was my friend’s birthday, and Suki went above and beyond to send a member of his staff out that evening to get my friend a birthday cake! He also let us have a special dish of his, which isn’t on the menu. Truly, such a nice gesture. We also went for a Christmas get together meal and the staff were great, so attentive and bantering alongside our big group. Cannot recommend this place enough if you want a great meal!

Have used Kirthon for 15 years. It has been going downhill for a while now. Tonight was the worst I have ever had. Soggy onion bhajee, chicken in the main dish that must have been boiled to death, it was so solid. Nothing good about tonight’s meal. Won’t be ordering for a while

Come here as a family of 3 and was simply amazing! Food was perfect so delicious they even made a small curry for my Daughter ( Soo creamy) the Saggaloo is to die for! The Waiter was amazing especially with my Daughter (2) ask for Bidhan! Couldnt be more helpful! Such a relaxing vide here! And couldn’t recommend here anymore! Been coming here years and the service, price and atmosphere beats any in this town!

Popped in last night as they were about to close. Happily, they served us. Very chilled out people who came and had a nice chat whilst the chef was cooking. I really like hot food and the chef makes proper chilli to make up a vindaloo sauce and doesn't just add chilli powder. Excellent food, nothing left on the plates or dishes and a very reasonable price. It's on the list to go back to next time we're in the area.

Just ordered a takeaway but despite asking for rice at least 3 times it wasn't on the order. When I called about it not being included I was told I would get a call back. No call back and when I called again they said it would be 2 hours for the rice delivery. I thought the service was very poor and I won't be using then again.

The best indian restaurant in pantiles

Spent an evening at the hotel near by and watched customers coming and going. Due to the mixed reviews we were a little skeptical. However we needn't have been. We ordered the king prawn vindaloo & a lamb madras both with mushroom rice and a garlic naan. It was beautiful, we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Great service from the boys too. Thank you for having us! You can please some of the people, some of the time. But you can't please all of the people all of the time!

Food was very average, for such a high price. Overpricing food. The account was not calculated correctly. It's very dirty inside, I can't imagine what's going on in the kitchen. Underhand, and unacceptable. Avoid.

Ate here with my best friend when the Soul Train event was on. The service was very efficient and friendly, lovely food, served piping hot by friendly waiters. The price was very reasonable for two courses and a main. The evening was fabulous, so many people out enjoying themselves. A definite indication that the Pantiles is the place to be, I've been missing out!

Much the same experience as Nikola in the previous review. Inflated prices for set Jazz night menu take the mick frankly. £30 for 1 course??? Really? Hillarious. Food was average at best too. To be fair though, the service was very good and staff very friendly. I see there is a new Indian restaurant opening next door - I will be going there next time. The live Jazz was superb!

I hate to be horrible but to me food wasn’t great. Staff were ok, however chicken was like you was chewing gum, didn’t even eat my curry, partners lamb was also chewy. Very disappointed.

Laat ik vooropstellen dat we geen ervaring hadden met de Indiase keuken. Maar we wilden eens iets anders eten, dus waarom de Indiase keuken niet proberen? De ober deed zijn best een en ander uit te leggen. De wijn kwam daarna snel, om een fles water moesten we drie keer vragen. En het eten? Mwah…. Niet slecht, maar ook niet fantastisch. Viel ons eerder wat tegen. De inrichting is wat gedateerd, het bestek onmogelijk om mee te eten. Hadden we dan toch meer nan of chapati’s moeten bestellen?

We visited on a short break to Tunbridge Wells and had a lovely meal. It's in a super location on the Pantiles. The food was delicious and the service was absolutely fantastic. It was our anniversary and we were given a desert on the house.

We turned up late on a Sunday night after being stranded in the snow. We found Kirthon not only open but found the staff wonderfully welcoming and enjoyed a delicious vegetarian meal for two. The food & service was great, can't fault it. Thank you for the kind hospitality!

Place is amazing food top quality staff brilliant I seen a review about allergy’s on here but as soon as I went in the allergies was on the wall and clear on the menu so don’t see the issue will definitely be going back.

Went to this restaurant and explained that my wife and another member of our group had allergies and unfortunately they didn’t take any notice. My wife on getting home collapsed and stopped breathing - she’s ok now thankfully. Another member of our group felt nauseous after consuming her food and had to leave immediately. I have spoken to the owner in person who has denied any contamination of their food. Don’t go here if you have allergies as they will be ignored.

Exceptional food and service. We had a wonderful evening, the curries were divine and the staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant was busy and buzzing so a great atmosphere. We even had a surprise birthday cake as one of our party was celebrating their birthday. We will definitely be going back.

Went here last weekend. Not sure what has changed over the last few months, but the value and quality of food don't go hand in hand anymore. The staff are polite and helpful, which is always good. But I wont be rushing back.

This is an over-priced Curry establishment for its quality. I ordered the Chicken Banjara Tikka Massala (£11.50), and although it was appropriately spicy, it didn't have the sweetness of its Tikka Massala base. The Bombay Aloo (£5.50) was less flavoursome than I usually expect also. In addition to this, the Chutney, which cost £1, did not come with lime pickle, although this may be excused by the fact there was an alternative to the Chutney called Mixed Pickle. The minimum cost for a soft drink, bar tap water, was £3.50. Furthermore, the service charge was 12.50%, and not mentioned on the menu. On a positive note I would say the service was very good. Also, when I disputed the bill, over the service charge, they were generous in their settlement.

I’m Asian, so I know good Indian/Pakistani food. Poppadoms- greasy, bottled sauces Starters - deep fried from frozen rubbish Middle mixed grill course - chicken soft and succulent, lamb tough as boots Main - like a microwave meal , garbage. Service - the waiter here was on crack I think, he was pouring my wine every 10 mins - I don’t want a full glass, I don’t want to guzzle it - so stop!! They’re basically trying to shift you out the door for the next lager swigging punters to sit So this place is serving bottom end ‘ curry’ for young beer swillers… that’s their aim So don’t bother going if you like good authentic Indian food - cos it’s not.

The Dhal scan be inconsistent over different orders, not always fresh and the lamb as at most Indian could be better quality or have longer and slower cooking. Overall reasonable with very good service

£98 for 2 for a pretty average meal.

Had a delivery to Blackham last night for a social event for 22 oeople. Suki and his team handled the order professionally and took the time and consideration to make sure everything was right even catering outside the menu and adding a few extras.... Suki even delivered the order personally and stayed with us to help distribute the food and make sure we were all happy. Food was hot and delicious! Highly recommended.

The food was delicious, but the portion of chicken tikka was so small it was like a starter. Not good value for money.

I thought this was a bit underwhelming, especially given their location on The Pantiles. The food wasn't anything special - a bit bland and uninspiring, and the service wasn't anything special either. I was also a little bit concerned that they appeared to be admitting drinkers who were struggling to prove they were of age for a licensed establishment to legally serve them alcohol.

Amazing delicious food and love the way that the food is presented in the little dishes.

Kirthon is my favourite Indian in Kent. I’d been ordering for ages via Deliveroo (download their app, better choice) before I realised it has a lovely location on the Pantiles. I just happened to be passing by and stopped in to introduce myself and the team were extremely friendly… the tikka masala is wonderful but the team will recommend something to your taste if you’d like to mix it up. My guest fancies herself as an expert in Indian food and she agreed it was one of the best she’d had. Highly recommended!

Without doubt, the best Indian restaurant inTunbridge Wells, a warm welcome every time we eat there and the take-aways are brillliant. The food is absolutely 1st class. We use this restaurant frequently, have tried others but always go back to the Kirthon. Prices are very reasonable, and service is excellent.

Food was amazing, order received as placed and was cooked withing stated time. Staff were polite and helpful too. Definitely going to order again and would recommend to everyone. Parking in pantiles would be available after 6pm or 30 mins within parking bay before 6pm if you're collecting your order.

We enjoyed a very tasty dinner here and we're lucky to get a table on a busy Saturday night. Friendly and attentive staff, but we were very uneasy at the social distancing in the restaurant. We sat in the only table in the middle row, but we were very close to either side. Better though than all the other tables who sat back to back. Difficult times for restaurants, but it did detract from an otherwise good dining experience.

Food was excellent and staff were very friendly and loved the milkshake at the end of the evening. Place was buzzing and we had a good night and will definitely return as soon as possible.
