Very friendly staff and really nice food, cooked perfectly. I will back with my family as I went alone last time. Love the way the place is has been done out.

Since early January 2023, I am usually in the area on a Wednesday, and always head to 2d Blue for lunch. The service is good, the food is prepared to my order, and the coffee is excellent. I began having eggs benedict, then, some months later, I switched to an omelette with cheese and bacon, but have now moved on to avocado smash with bacon, accompanied by a lovely americano with milk on the side. Miguel and Zuzana are very pleasant hosts, the place is always clean, with interesting decor, while the cost of my healthy light lunch represents very good value indeed.

We had breakfast there this morning and it was absolutely brilliant. We both had the breakfast omelette which was delicious. There were many other tempting choices on the menu. The cafe is imaginatively decorated and absolutely immaculate. The staff were very friendly. An absolute gem.

All I’m gonna say is Sanjay’s cafe on St. John’s road is £4.50 for a bacons roll with 6 bits of thick bacon Not £7.50 for thin undercooked bacon and cold sausages and it took 15 mins

I stumbled across the cafe whilst working in the area, the staff were very attentive and told me about the history of the building and story behind the name which I found very interesting. I had a coffee and slice of cake which were both extremely nice. I understood from the staff that a lot of the offering was locally source which is amazing news. The decor is beautiful and atmosphere welcoming. I will certainly return and recommend.

Visited last Friday to try out the new cafe in town, delightful interior very modern warm and welcoming! My smoothie was delicious. Eggs benedict was okay not the best but okay, it would of been much nicer if the eggs were runny there were dry and over cooked. My friend had poached eggs on toast with mushrooms again no runny over cooked eggs and no butter on the toast? But it was okay. Nice new addition.

Enjoyed a pint in the spring sunshine on the terrace at the George. Excellent service and a wide selection of independent beers on tap.

Booked a table for family, waited an hour and a half for our Roast dinners, and not worth the wait very small portions 1 slice of beef 1 slice of pork 1 small florets of broccoli 2 tiny slithers of carrot and 2 small parsnips pieces, must admit there were 4 roast potatoes, but it would have looked better on a tea plate. No one came to check on us, and when we rechecked the Menu we should of had cauliflower cheese as well, we told the Gentleman at the till when we went to pay, he apologised and took £4.00 off our bill. Wow left there still hungry, as it had taken so long to get our food, we did not have time for a dessert, not good enough

The restaurant is the sister restaurant of TN12, which we have visited a number of times and is generally very good. This restaurant offers breakfast/brunch and tapas menus. We visited for lunch midweek, hoping to test out the tapas menu. We ordered, only for the waitress to come back a few minutes later to say that they had no chicken, which eliminated some of our choices. We selected some alternatives only for the waitress to come back to say the chef had now decided not to offer tapas today! It is extraordinary that a restaurant runs out of a key ingredient on a Wednesday lunchtime - especially when there is a perfectly good butcher 100 yards away who would no doubt have sold them as much chicken as they needed. We ordered from the brunch menu - the steak sandwich was very good but sadly the poached eggs on toast were overdone and hard. The ambience was nice and the waitress helpful but sadly it is unlikely we will visit again.
