ToasT Oxted in Tandridge

Another wonderful brunch at Toast! Made to feel like valued customers from the moment you step through the door, great decor, personable service, fantastic coffees, and delicious brunch. Would confidently put this place up there as one of my favourite brunch spots around. We were returning customers today, and we will continue to return for as long as we are lucky enough to have Toast on the highstreet!

No option to book so you need to get in there early, especially if you're going at a weekend! Service and food is fantastic 😋

I called ahead to reserve a table of 4 for a business lunch and we were pleasantly surprised with a lovely little restaurant to sit quietly , have our meeting and discuss over brunch! Fantastic food- great staff and excellent food! Will be back for more!

Was appalled by the service waited 30 minutes just to order food and took over an hour upon arrival before even getting our drinks. The blonde waitresss who served us seemed highly uninterested that we had been waiting ages and seemed rude when she came over after I saw people who came in after us getting served before and also finishing their drinks before ours even arrived. Food was average with the poached eggs being over cooked and toast was so hard my partner left all of it as he couldn’t cut it. The most awful time I have ever had while eating I hope they rethink what they have done. I have been a waitress for years and I know even at busy times it does not take 1 HOUR!! To get 2 cappuccinos. Absolutely disgusted after paying nearly £50 for 2 people with such terrible service I wish I could put 0 stars.

We’ve known of Toast in a professional capacity before for when we’ve provided services to private functions. Today we treated ourselves and went in as customers and it was lovely. The food was delicious! Amazing portions, top quality food and coffee! Will definitely be treating ourselves to a visit again!

Busy little brunch place with a good atmosphere and some cool food choices

I have my morning coffee here regularly and by far it’s the best place I’ve discovered in the area, much better than central London! The atmosphere here is so warming and cosy, alongside with extremely welcoming staff this cafe would make anyone feel like at home. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys good quality food and drink and experience high standards. P.S. they do the best oat flat whites!

I’ve tried other breakfast / brunch destinations in the town and although Toast costs slightly more per visit it’s soooooo worth it. Their Brunch is THE BEST! Thanks to the girls working on sunday who helped me get a table for my son’s birthday

Took my 7 year old daughter in for pancakes , she said they were better than the ones she had in had in New York last year ! Best brunch in Oxted !! Highly recommended 5⭐️ Food and service

My fab wife hired the whole place for a recent birthday party. Toast was perfect for the number of guests we had (35). It looked amazing and the team there were totally happy for us to add some more personal decorations. The food was awesome, kept coming and was hot, fresh and delicious, the bar and waiting staff couldn’t have been more helpful and I would absolutely recommend this place for a party. Great job team Toast. Thank you!!

It was a really busy morning but they still managed to fit me in before a reservation arrived, kept up the service with a smile too. Our breakfast was tasty & well presented...the food seemed consistently impressive across the restaurant, great atmosphere inside.

We hired the whole of ToasT for my Mother in Law's 80th Birthday. 28 of us sitting down for a very special celebration. Words cannot adequately express my appreciation for what was a perfect occasion. The food, as always, was exceptional as was the friendly service and surroundings. I would recommend this venue to anyone

Amazing place to meet and eat. I met an d mate there today for a loooooong overdue catch up. Breakfast of pancakes, sour dough toast, full English and coffees. Truly outstanding service. Friendly and patient. Also very courteous on arrival and departure. Excellent value all in all. Thank you, Ladies. We’ll be seeing you all again very soon, such was our satisfaction with our first ever visit to Toast.

Our first visit to Toast and we were impressed from the beginning. Welcomed by Jamie who is a very efficient, professional and friendly member of the staff. The scrambled eggs with bacon and salmon on sourdough was superb as was the scrambled eggs with bacon. Excellent latte coffees too. All enjoyed in a relaxing setting. Will definitely return.

Fabulous night out with delicious food! Espresso Martini was the best I’ve ever tasted and the tacos were just gorgeous. Toast is the place to be day and night!

Just bad for us given we couldn’t get in :) Today we cancelled our sons footie club and opted to head down for opening! Lurking at the door before they opened, friendly staff advised when they’d be open. When doors opened they were super warm and we were the first in. Lovely subtle festive decor, nice layout and child friendly! We ordered quickly and food came out quickly…as did all the tables around us! Now on to brekkie! Pancakes, maple syrup and bacon for our son (Delish!), Turkish eggs for my hubby which looked amazing and he said was delish, I had no chance sharing as he didn’t want to! I don’t blame him as there was no way I was sharing mine! Avocado slice brekkie which was avocado smash with a hint of chilli and feta, then I opted for a poached egg and bacon on the side…. WOW!! Truly I’ll be thinking of that brekkie for days! Only problem now is weighing up standing on the side lines watching our son play footie every Saturday….OR an amazing brekkie at Toast!! It’s a good venue in a convenient location and a nice spot for breakfast. The food is good and the coffee too. However, I’ve noticed over the last year or so that the prices have been going up and up. So now I would have to say it’s expensive for what it is.

Lovely brunch cafe, with a good range of dishes on the menu (I'm a big fritters fan!). Good coffee and hot drink options too.

I drove from Bearsted and heard great things about this place, the staff were friendly and was able to enjoy a lovely breakfast. The food was fresh and had a lot of flavour I would recommend this place as the price was reasonable too.

I love Toast! Everything about it - the eclectic, fun but not too intrusive music; the fresh, original menu and expertly-cooked food; the warm welcome from Summer, Georgie and co, and the vibe. Great for chilling or meeting a friend for coffee as well as for breakfast, brunch and lunch. In a town full of great places to eat Toast surely wins the coveted 9am - 3pm slot!

Really poor customer service. Arrived and took our seat, waited for a while and had to ask for menus. After 10mins went to place our order for food and were told it wasn’t being served, despite being given a menu that only has food on it. The tea pots were cracked and dirty. Clearly a lot of potential and a lovely space, just a shame about the service

Quite pricey and small portions. Service wasn't quick either. The atmosphere is quite nice though with nice decor.

A little expensive I think. For one slice of sour dough toast with advocado and a poached egg and 2 x tea was 25.00 per person. But a lovely space

Popped in on my own after a long morning of meetings and experienced great service (via a lovely lady by the name of Summer) and food. Even sampled a new take on the infamous iced coffee. I forgot what a superb place this was and will be back to sample the tequila and tacos on Friday!

Nice spot for brunch. The staff were friendly and welcoming on entry and made small talk when we left. We had the Eggs Benedict and avo toast both were nice, a good portion for me and a nice coffee on the side. Looks like the place for brunch in Oxted, would go back if we were in the neighborhood again.

Avo slice virtually impossible to eat as toast so hard I couldn't cut it up let alone eat it. I would have sent back but didn't want to embarrass my daughter and grandson. £3.60 for a cup of coffee is far more than I pay elsewhere. I knew we should have gone to the deli.

This week, I went to Toast for the first time. The coffee and food were amazing! I ordered poached eggs with avocado on sourdough bread, which was so good. I noticed they sold a few classic cocktails aswell, which I thought was a nice twist. Will definitely be going again 😁

We can only say not a patch on what it used to be. We decided to go for lunch here to support local business however place was not busy. We gave our order which was not written down - had a wait before they were served and then one of the lunches was incorrect received a breakfast in error. Had to then wait for correct order. Plus to finish it off was overcharged by £4 which we didn’t realise till we checked receipt when we got home. Tried to contact Toast but no response. Extremely disappointed and will not be returning. Many places now to eat in and around Oxted

Not only was the service great with staff that were really trying to ensure to ensure your visit was enjoyable but the Menu has been updated and was spoilt for choice. Food was delicious and will be back soon to try out other dishes. Thank-you for an enjoyable visit

Coffee and food were delicious, service was poor. I made a reservation for brunch on a Sunday and my partner and I were sat and given menus that were different in the description of a few items and different to the menu found online ahead of time. It took half an hour before our order was taken for food or drink, although food came quickly and was delicious. However, our drinks were forgotten and came after we had almost finished eating and we were later told one of the drinks we’d ordered couldn’t be made because the ingredients were not available. When we finished we asked for the bill where the coffees were listed twice and the drink that couldn’t be made was also included. We asked for a reprint and then the card machine was not working so we had to wait for it to be fixed before paying. I also think the prices are overinflated and our bill ended up being ~£35 for 3 drinks and two plates of breakfast food. Overall I was disappointed with the experience, which is a shame because the food is tasty and the place is in a lovely setting.

Such a shame, I used to love this place but last two visits have been so disappointing that I doubt I’ll return. Prices are very inflated and it’s all style over substance. Had the granola bowl with poached pear but the granola was shop bought. I could have had a far better meal at home. It used to be fantastic though - what happened?

Really disappointed with the new menu. This used to be a favourite breakfast spot, always great food. They’ve now changed the menu, and it specifies “we kindly request no substituons”. Clearly a lazy “chef”… shame. Food was bland and overly pretentious.

Not good value for money, visited with husband this morning. £35 for breakfast, and it’s nothing special I had the Turkish Eggs which were covered in Mayo and Oil a few little bits of spinach and that was it. One slice of thinning sourdough, that was more like a cracker. My husband had 1 poached egg and a slice of bacon and it was absolutely awful. A few other couples walked out after viewing the prices on the menu, unfortunately we didn’t. So breakfast for 2 was just over £35 to include 1 Orange Juice half a glass as full of ice £8, 1 poached egg £8 I wish we had looked at the menu more closely ….. before and walked out like the others did This place is WAY OVERPRICED! They get away with it because it’s Oxted

A local eatery that strives to be different very interesting menu with pleasant dishes The menu itself written so tiny I found it hard to read The food was slightly overcooked toast was hard and the skin on the sausage just not for me The carrot and ginger juice tasted like orange Toilets needed some maintenance with seats falling off Will not revisit .

We ordered chicken Sandos which were cold brioche buns with tiny , overdone pieces of chicken as the filling. No garnish. Definitely not worth £11. Shame as the place has a nice vibe. I am giving two stars as the house white was delicious. But I won’t be returning.

The brunch brioche was excellent - smashed avo, poached eggs, bacon, chiili, etc was first class, as was the OJ and Flat White.

Toast is fantastic: great vibe that changes through the day / week (their evening menu is excellent, and different), the service is warm and friendly, and most of all there food is great quality and interesting. Love it!

Overpriced and average. It used to be a nice little place. You could walk in and find a table. Prices were reasonable. They’ve had a re-vamp since Covid. Now there are tables on top of tables and they charge £15 for a basic house breakfast...

Highly recommended Great staff and amazing food

Lovely food and an amazing atmosphere. Whenever we are in Oxted we come here for breakfast or lunch. Service is always with a smile and the food is a work of art. Cant recommended highly enough.

Toast is a great place with lovely food but they are super unaccomodating to little children with no space for high chairs. Even with up to 5 tables free, I have been turned away numerous times when my toddler has been in tow. A shame...

Style over substance. Our coffees took ages to arrive and the dog at the table next to us received a bowl of water before we received our drinks. I ordered the Toast breakfast but it was very disappointing and the sausages were burnt to a crisp. We won't be back.
