Wonderful shop with a fabulous selection of cards and gifts. The highlight though has to be the incredible selection of chocolates, including gorgeous handmade ones produced by Sue in house. They make a wonderful gift or an indulgent treat!

The lady is super sweet and extremely helpful. You can tell they really care about the customer. It was my first time here as I needed to get some school presents. She helped me find things and made good suggestions. The shop goes a way back so there's lots to see and purchase. They have lovely gifts like clothes, toys, puzzles, bath gifts, balloons and ofcourse chocolates. Please do try and have a look at the shop, they have lots to offer.

Wanted to find an Easter egg for my mum who has had very specific tastes following chemo. Couldn’t find anything but junk left in the major shops, Joyce’s was happy to make me something unique and my mum loved it. Such a special place I never thought I needed, but love having locally.

We popped into Best Wishes for just a birthday card but were amazed by the size of te shop (looks so small from outside) and the astounding variety of items on sale. items varied from sweets to scientific experiments and many other things too numerous to mention. If you are stuck for a gift idea, Best Wishes is well worth a visit

Couldn't thank Sue enough for her help and patience in getting balloons organised for my dads birthday at Lingfield Racecourse. My mum didn't actually know what display she wanted, so having spoken to Sue she sent some ideas over to me. We looked through and ordered. We are not local to the area so wasn't easy to pop in the shop so anything done via the phone and text message. Sue kept in contact reassuring me that balloons were ready for delivery the next day, she then messaged me to let me know they had been delivered . The display was absolutely lovely and travelled home with us nicely and remained in one piece.

After arranging a wedding for loved one in 2hrs as one was sadly passing, this lady not only gave us a fantastic discount and freebies, she also made up the balloons in super speed because time was against us Thank you so much for showing such kindness to a local young family being torn apart. You have no idea how much it meant. Thank you, so much x

What fantastic service friendly helpful staff. The In house chocolates are to die for, we were each offered a sample and ended up with 5 boxes for friends and family. Pity we don’t live closer, although the owner has offered a postal service, which we will definitely use at Christmas if not before. Would recommend everyone

Horrified at the 'service' I received in this shop. The owner was disgustingly rude, couldn't even bring herself to say hello when I greeted her. She went on to be cold and abrupt when I enquired about buying chocolates,, awful atmosphere in the shop. The shop assistant that was there when we entered didn't even acknowledge us. I thought she was another customer. No bags available for the items I bought. I regret spending any money here, and have already passed on my experience to friends + family as I have actually never received such disgusting service before. Avoid at all costs. Unless you like being told 'I'm not in the mood for this' when simply wanting to buy from here! I'm sure the owner will come back with some excuse/ or try to say I am lying about my experience. EDIT- 5/09/2021. abusive? because I said hello how are you? with a smile on my face and I got back 'what do you want.' You had a terrible attitude yesterday, I have no idea whether you were having a bad day but to treat a paying customer like that is awful. I will continue to share my experience with others, as this was a shocking experience for both myself and my husband. And as I can see, others have referred to you as 'rude and unpleasant, and 'less than friendly'. So my experience is not an isolated one.

The best customer service received from Sue. So easy to place an order during lockdown for balloons for my sons birthday. Even delivered to my house and called to ensure my son wouldn’t see them. The best customer service I’ve received. Also been for food and they have a lovely menu. Handy for cards and gifts.

The cafe is within a gift shop, with amazing unusual pressures and games for big and little kids, handmade chocolates to die for, greetings cards, wrap and loads more. There are plenty of ideas for gifts too and an amazing array of greeting cards.. I love the owners choice of funny cards ! Recommend a visit here!

A disappointing experience overall. After a less than friendly greeting, we ordered a selection of breakfast / lunch options. The menu lacks imagination and needs updating. The jacket potato was dry and hard. The bread used was cheap and the scrambled egg was almost completely white and lacked flavour. The salmon portion was tiny despite being advertised as a ‘salmon brunch’. Advise to the owner: invest in better quality ingredients and add more creative dishes to menu

We popped into Joyce's to buy chocolates for our wedding reception table. They were lovingly presented in gold and silver boxes for our guests. Sugar mice and footballs for the younger members of family were the order of the day. We were not disappointed on quality of chocolate. Staff helpful and friendly. Cards and serviettes were beautiful . Bought some of the serviettes. What a gem of a place. Will return.

We called in here for afternoon tea when passing. We sat in the garden which was pleasant enough and ordered a cream tea for four. It came with mismatched in size scones which were so dry, really terrible and two small bowls of something white which the woman serving (who was not the owner) told us was all she had in the way of cream. It was horrible! We struggled through it, the tea itself was enough to wash the food down but it was not what not what any of us had in mind. If she'd told us when we ordered that she had run out of cream we wouldn't have ordered cream teas or, in that position, she could have nipped across the road to buy some from the Co-op opposite (actually one of us would have gone for her!) It kind of spoiled our afternoon treat. The home made chocolates looked nice.In general all pretty pricey and a little bit shabby.

We often visit this delightful little shop in Lingfield village. The owner and staff are lovely and the shop is perfect, serving not only gifts and wrapping paper, but an array of every greeting card you could ever wish to buy.All unique in their own way, so different from any others you’d ever find in other venues. There are pretty little gift boxes and bags too. Joyce’s has a great display of homemade chocolates too, so beautifully displayed and mouthwatering tempting! But favourite of all, Joyce’s serves the most delicious breakfasts, lunches and teas at the little tables dotted throughout the shop where you can relax, enjoy a cup of tea and browse the wonderful shop displays. In the summer it is also nice to take tea in the garden... and on a sunny day maybe enjoy a delicious Blackcurrant and mango sorbet there ! Thank you Joyces for being so unique, we’ve enjoyed every visit! xx

A must go to buy the selection of handmade chocolates on offer in the café. Priced all reasonably and taste divine! The shopping area is split between a store of nicknacks, cards for different occasions, chocolates with tables to eat afternoon tea or a breakfast. When you walk in the shop the first thing you see is a counter full of homemade chocolates of every description. As you go through the shop you find a very large collection of cards, gift wrapping, boxes and other small gifts. I think from now on I will go there to buy most of my cards. They also have a beautiful collection of gift bags and boxes. The tables are placed all through the shop. My friend and I sat in a lovely little alcove to have our lunch so we could have a good chat in relative privacy. I had scrambled egg on toast and my friend had a jacket potato with tunafish. It is simple food but really well cooked and my friend was given hot milk with her coffee which really pleased her. The owners were very helpful and attentive. We both managed to find some nice gifts for people on our Christmas list. I bought some chocolates for a friend which were specially wrapped with ribbons for me all ready to give her. This is a wonderful to buy cards and small gifts and a lovely place to go and have lunch with a friend.

When I am in the area I usually visit here once a fortnight with my Grandmother who is 92 and not that mobile. The lady who owns Joyce's is always super helpful and kind to us as is the other lady who works there. It is the perfect place to have afternoon tea or a full lunch and purchase gifts at the same time - there are many beautiful cards and some lovely present ideas. As for the chocolates and truffles.... they are second to none!Looking at two past reviews where one said the place was 'outdated and austere' and another said it was 'unwelcoming' all I can say is that they must have gone to a different place. Joyce's is not all chrome and shiny walls but it is unique, cosy, welcoming and affordable. There is also a lovely little courtyard garden where you can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. The home-made meringues are amazing and the jacket potatoes and salads are always a good portion. The different types of scones are delicious too!

A strange arrangement of tables throughout a gift shop. Table setup and menu wouldn't have been out of place 20 years ago - it was in a time warp. Food acceptable but no finesse - side salad good old lettuce and cucumber with no dressing, baked potato big but skin thin and not crispy (perhaps microwaved?) served with no/minimal butter and small helping of prawn mix. Coffee nothing special.Overall place was clean, service friendly and food filling. I wouldn't avoid but then again I wouldn't rush back either!
