Lovely atmosphere in the centre of Oxted. Food were good but little seasoning missing. Perfect flat white!

I found it exceptional in all respects .. staff food chef menu quality etc The quick service and polite waitress was superb.

Toast has the best brunch in the area, the food is always great and the staff are welcoming & helpful. I've also had several functions at Toast for my business and it has always offered good VFM and a great setting.

Just enjoyed the BEST Poched Eggs in Oxted, served by the lovely waitress. If you are in OR around oxted, I would definitely recommend parking in the car park (pay & display via the App) and pop into Toast for a snack. Especially special if you enjoy a chilled out vibe, soundtrack was excellent for single women / Men. Window seat set the tones - Mine on Tuesday morning @ 10 was AMAZING. I'LL be back soon 👍

Used to have such a nice vibe, but it just feels grabby now. Very expensive for very average food. It’s a shame. Unfriendly staff too, I’m not blaming them though, I suspect they’re not enjoying it there. This place could be such a gem.

We’re back in town for a few days and decided to visit one of my old favourites. Unfortunately, the service just wasn't as friendly as we remembered. I thought I'd start my day with an eggs bennie. They served it on a slice of seriously crusty bread. Not exactly what I had in mind. The eggs and bacon were decent enough, but the hollandaise sauce was a letdown. I was expecting a creamy, runny, white sauce but what I got was a beige-coloured disappointment. To make matters worse, when I asked for some salt, they brought me a salt grinder with flakes of salt inside. It doesn’t work. I tried a few different grinders to get the salt out, but no luck. I thought maybe it was just a one-time fluke, so we decided to give it another shot the next morning. This time, my husband ordered bacon and eggs, hoping for a better experience. Disappointment again. The bacon and eggs were nothing to write home about, same crusty bread. I went for a croissant and a cinnamon roll. They were both chewy as heck. Clearly not freshly baked that day. I asked for jam for my croissant, the waitress told me that there would be an extra charge. Really? I mean, come on, it's just a little jam! And then she took forever to ring it up on the till and retrieve it. By the time the jam arrived, my croissant was cold. Not exactly the breakfast experience I had hoped for. Honestly, at this point, I'd rather have grabbed a coffee and croissant from the coffee shop and enjoyed it in the park for a fraction of the price. The bill came out to over £32. And that's just with orange juice. No coffee or tea included. We couldn’t really be bothered at this point. The 2 stars are just for the excellent decor of the place.

Meandering along the beautiful high street, looking to kill time and grab a coffee. Living in a country where chains dominate the coffee market, I’m always looking for something a bit different and loved….. and I’ve found it..! Behold: ToasT..! Greeting by very friendly staff who quickly welcome this lost traveller to a table, brief conversation and my ‘Smashed Avo Slice’ with Poached eggs is in the pipeline, along with the standard Oat Flat white (at 125C obvs). Wow, they delivered the coffee - smashed it..! And then… AND THEN… the eagerly awaited Avo Slice arrived. Pitched with the correct colour flame of chilli, more mashed avocado than you could shake a stick of solidified Shrek snot at. There was a party going on in my mouth, so tasty - highly recommend…! Service was amazing, can’t believe the young lady who served me was only on her 3rd day here - a seasoned professional..!

Had a beautiful brunch with my girls before my wedding weekend, and we were treated like queens! The service from Start to finish was amazing, along with the food & mimosas! We sat outside and didn’t feel rushed - if anything we felt too comfortable. Have been since this weekend and honestly it will always be somewhere I take friends if we want something tasty xxx

Sad to say the service was so slow and inattentive that we walked out without ordering after waiting for 20 minutes. Very poor and disappointing.

Great spot for brunch with good vibes and lovely staff. Wide range of options to suit everyone, my personal favourite are the pancakes! Definitely worth a visit when in Oxted.

Came here for fathers day, one of the first customers in, restrictions on choice of menu, chipped and dirty/stained tableware, over priced, friendly staff, did contact management via email, no response, would not return unless improved.

Excellent food combined with friendly and attentive staff all within a great atmosphere. Would recommend for a coffee or food!

We had a 30th birthday here at toast and everything was better than we were hoping. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the drink options were perfect. Would definitely go back!

Really yummy food, friendly staff and great atmosphere

4 of us went for breakfast including a toddler. We were shown to a booth but a polite waitress and asked if we needed a highchair. We ordered coffees and a freshly squeezed orange juice which arrived promptly and was delicious. All the food was exceptional and the ingredients were all fresh and of high quality. We were too full to order them, but definitely will be returning to try the buttermilk doughnuts! There is a public carpark situated behind that is free on weekends and a 30 second walk that has plenty of parking. Would highly recommend a visit to Toast!

First time at this place. Great for lunch. Free parking on the high street right outside. Helpful staff who accommodated my mum with mobility issues by putting tables together so we could sit on lower chairs. Cool, breezy, woody, metally, floral decor actually works! Fast service. Shout out to Kiera who was our excellent server and Emily on drinks. Good range of trad breakfast items. Pancakes were fluffy as heck. They were happy to give us a pot of maple syrup when asked. Eggs and salmon was as good as you could want. Croissant was giant. Had to take half home. Toilet clean and spacious.

Three of us went for breakfast, the vegetarian options seemed limited. The food we did have was nice, but not fantastic. I will not go again as our bill came to £75.00 for food which should have not amounted to that for three people.

Launch of a new menu of sharing plates plus cheese and meat. The choice and quality of the food is excellent with a solid wine list, good choice of cocktails and wide variety of drinks all reasonably priced. Good service from a friendly team in a great venue with an upbeat atmosphere. Great choice for anything from a casual catch up to a special night out.

Visited for the Charcuterie night and did not leave disappointed! Food was incredible, and the atmosphere and friendly staff made the evening great. Can’t wait to visit again

No better place to go for breakfast or brunch! The staff are always so friendly and welcoming and the food is always exceptionally spot on with a superb menu. They always cater for my dairy and gluten free needs. Toast really does stand out from the rest. The atmosphere is great and it has always been my favourite spot for breakfast in Oxted. And they serve the best coffee too! If your in Oxted, go check them out!

Isn’t it sad when a favourite foody place goes dramatically down, and without any warning? What happened to the wonderful, vibrant, atmospheric, cosy place Toast in Oxted used to be? Where did the 4-page long menus go? What happened to the 10 varieties of cakes displayed at the counter? What happened to the scrubbed to the “bone” clean benches and tables? To the well-maintained facilities? Toast used to be my and my family’s favourite place for breakfast, lunch or afternoon coffee/tea. Unfortunately, at the last week’s visit the first thing that struck me was the dirt… than the lack of clientele (it used to be packed for lunches)… and than the baby age of the waitresses - no adults managers present! And than - the state of the furniture - dirty tables, sunken broken sofas, lower dirty lightening. But the absolute winner was the new menu - of which there were ONLY 3 items for lunch - a chicken burger, a salad, and some unrecognisable pork dish. Gone was the international cuisine, the richness of meal choices and varieties of tastes, of savory and sweet dishes. A few toasted sandwiches listed under “Smaller dishes” added to the lack of imagination - at the exuberant price of £40 for 2 sandwiches and a small portion of sweet potatoes. But wait, there is more! Once we made our severely limited choice for food, the waitress comes back and says both of our dishes have ran out. We should choose something else…out of one remaining option! And more - we were kicked out at 2:15pm “because they were closing”! Closing? It used to be opened for afternoon tea and coffee until 4:30-5pm! How well the balance of quality of food and service against the price have been thought out by the new owners: when food quality goes down, up goes the price. No wonder we were the only two clients at 1:30pm lunch time there! Such a shame! Bring back the previous creative management team and staff, and support them, so they revive this used-to-be lovely place back to its unique and energetic quality of service, please!

Toast is a great little cafe in Oxted. It has a cozy, welcoming vibe inside. The breakfast and lunch options are superb with a lot of variety in the menu... there is also a fantastic brunch menu at the weekends! The coffee is excellent too. But what really makes Toast stand out is the friendly, helpful staff. They make you feel right at home. Whether you live in Oxted or are just visiting, Toast is a must-try spot. It's an outstanding local cafe that deserves 5 stars for sure! A real neighborhood gem.

Another wonderful brunch at Toast! Made to feel like valued customers from the moment you step through the door, great decor, personable service, fantastic coffees, and delicious brunch. Would confidently put this place up there as one of my favourite brunch spots around. We were returning customers today, and we will continue to return for as long as we are lucky enough to have Toast on the highstreet!

I called ahead to reserve a table of 4 for a business lunch and we were pleasantly surprised with a lovely little restaurant to sit quietly , have our meeting and discuss over brunch! Fantastic food- great staff and excellent food! Will be back for more!

Was appalled by the service waited 30 minutes just to order food and took over an hour upon arrival before even getting our drinks. The blonde waitresss who served us seemed highly uninterested that we had been waiting ages and seemed rude when she came over after I saw people who came in after us getting served before and also finishing their drinks before ours even arrived. Food was average with the poached eggs being over cooked and toast was so hard my partner left all of it as he couldn’t cut it. The most awful time I have ever had while eating I hope they rethink what they have done. I have been a waitress for years and I know even at busy times it does not take 1 HOUR!! To get 2 cappuccinos. Absolutely disgusted after paying nearly £50 for 2 people with such terrible service I wish I could put 0 stars.

We’ve known of Toast in a professional capacity before for when we’ve provided services to private functions. Today we treated ourselves and went in as customers and it was lovely. The food was delicious! Amazing portions, top quality food and coffee! Will definitely be treating ourselves to a visit again!

I’ve tried other breakfast / brunch destinations in the town and although Toast costs slightly more per visit it’s soooooo worth it. Their Brunch is THE BEST! Thanks to the girls working on sunday who helped me get a table for my son’s birthday

I have my morning coffee here regularly and by far it’s the best place I’ve discovered in the area, much better than central London! The atmosphere here is so warming and cosy, alongside with extremely welcoming staff this cafe would make anyone feel like at home. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys good quality food and drink and experience high standards. P.S. they do the best oat flat whites!

My fab wife hired the whole place for a recent birthday party. Toast was perfect for the number of guests we had (35). It looked amazing and the team there were totally happy for us to add some more personal decorations. The food was awesome, kept coming and was hot, fresh and delicious, the bar and waiting staff couldn’t have been more helpful and I would absolutely recommend this place for a party. Great job team Toast. Thank you!!

It was a really busy morning but they still managed to fit me in before a reservation arrived, kept up the service with a smile too. Our breakfast was tasty & well presented...the food seemed consistently impressive across the restaurant, great atmosphere inside.

We hired the whole of ToasT for my Mother in Law's 80th Birthday. 28 of us sitting down for a very special celebration. Words cannot adequately express my appreciation for what was a perfect occasion. The food, as always, was exceptional as was the friendly service and surroundings. Fabulous night out with delicious food! Espresso Martini was the best I’ve ever tasted and the tacos were just gorgeous. Toast is the place to be day and night!

Our first visit to Toast and we were impressed from the beginning. Welcomed by Jamie who is a very efficient, professional and friendly member of the staff. The scrambled eggs with bacon and salmon on sourdough was superb as was the scrambled eggs with bacon. Excellent latte coffees too. All enjoyed in a relaxing setting. Will definitely return.

Lurking at the door before they opened, friendly staff advised when they’d be open. When doors opened they were super warm and we were the first in. Lovely subtle festive decor, nice layout and child friendly! We ordered quickly and food came out quickly…as did all the tables around us! Now on to brekkie! Pancakes, maple syrup and bacon for our son (Delish!), Turkish eggs for my hubby which looked amazing and he said was delish, I had no chance sharing as he didn’t want to! I don’t blame him as there was no way I was sharing mine! Avocado slice brekkie which was avocado smash with a hint of chilli and feta, then I opted for a poached egg and bacon on the side…. WOW!! Truly I’ll be thinking of that brekkie for days! Only problem now is weighing up standing on the side lines watching our son play footie every Saturday….OR an amazing brekkie at Toast!! It’s a good venue in a convenient location and a nice spot for breakfast. The food is good and the coffee too. However, I’ve noticed over the last year or so that the prices have been going up and up. So now I would have to say it’s expensive for what it is.

I drove from Bearsted and heard great things about this place, the staff were friendly and was able to enjoy a lovely breakfast. The food was fresh and had a lot of flavour I would recommend this place as the price was reasonable too.

I love Toast! Everything about it - the eclectic, fun but not too intrusive music; the fresh, original menu and expertly-cooked food; the warm welcome from Summer, Georgie and co, and the vibe. Great for chilling or meeting a friend for coffee as well as for breakfast, brunch and lunch. In a town full of great places to eat Toast surely wins the coveted 9am - 3pm slot!

Really poor customer service. Arrived and took our seat, waited for a while and had to ask for menus. After 10mins went to place our order for food and were told it wasn’t being served, despite being given a menu that only has food on it. The tea pots were cracked and dirty. Clearly a lot of potential and a lovely space, just a shame about the service

Popped in on my own after a long morning of meetings and experienced great service (via a lovely lady by the name of Summer) and food. Even sampled a new take on the infamous iced coffee. I forgot what a superb place this was and will be back to sample the tequila and tacos on Friday!

We had the Eggs Benedict and avo toast both were nice, a good portion for me and a nice coffee on the side. Looks like the place for brunch in Oxted, would go back if we were in the neighborhood again.

Avo slice virtually impossible to eat as toast so hard I couldn't cut it up let alone eat it. I would have sent back but didn't want to embarrass my daughter and grandson. £3.60 for a cup of coffee is far more than I pay elsewhere. I knew we should have gone to the deli.

This week, I went to Toast for the first time. The coffee and food were amazing! I ordered poached eggs with avocado on sourdough bread, which was so good. I noticed they sold a few classic cocktails aswell, which I thought was a nice twist. Will definitely be going again 😁

We can only say not a patch on what it used to be. We decided to go for lunch here to support local business however place was not busy. We gave our order which was not written down - had a wait before they were served and then one of the lunches was incorrect received a breakfast in error. Had to then wait for correct order. Plus to finish it off was overcharged by £4 which we didn’t realise till we checked receipt when we got home. Tried to contact Toast but no response. Extremely disappointed and will not be returning. Many places now to eat in and around Oxted

Not only was the service great with staff that were really trying to ensure to ensure your visit was enjoyable but the Menu has been updated and was spoilt for choice. Food was delicious and will be back soon to try out other dishes. Thank-you for an enjoyable visit

Coffee and food were delicious, service was poor. I made a reservation for brunch on a Sunday and my partner and I were sat and given menus that were different in the description of a few items and different to the menu found online ahead of time. It took half an hour before our order was taken for food or drink, although food came quickly and was delicious. However, our drinks were forgotten and came after we had almost finished eating and we were later told one of the drinks we’d ordered couldn’t be made because the ingredients were not available. When we finished we asked for the bill where the coffees were listed twice and the drink that couldn’t be made was also included. We asked for a reprint and then the card machine was not working so we had to wait for it to be fixed before paying. I also think the prices are overinflated and our bill ended up being ~£35 for 3 drinks and two plates of breakfast food. Overall I was disappointed with the experience, which is a shame because the food is tasty and the place is in a lovely setting.

Really disappointed with the new menu. This used to be a favourite breakfast spot, always great food. They’ve now changed the menu, and it specifies “we kindly request no substituons”. Clearly a lazy “chef”… shame. Food was bland and overly pretentious.

Such a shame, I used to love this place but last two visits have been so disappointing that I doubt I’ll return. Prices are very inflated and it’s all style over substance. Had the granola bowl with poached pear but the granola was shop bought. I could have had a far better meal at home. It used to be fantastic though - what happened?

Not good value for money, visited with husband this morning. £35 for breakfast, and it’s nothing special I had the Turkish Eggs which were covered in Mayo and Oil a few little bits of spinach and that was it. One slice of thinning sourdough, that was more like a cracker. My husband had 1 poached egg and a slice of bacon and it was absolutely awful. A few other couples walked out after viewing the prices on the menu, unfortunately we didn’t. So breakfast for 2 was just over £35 to include 1 Orange Juice half a glass as full of ice £8, 1 poached egg £8 I wish we had looked at the menu more closely ….. before and walked out like the others did This place is WAY OVERPRICED! They get away with it because it’s Oxted

A local eatery that strives to be different very interesting menu with pleasant dishes The menu itself written so tiny I found it hard to read The food was slightly overcooked toast was hard and the skin on the sausage just not for me The carrot and ginger juice tasted like orange Toilets needed some maintenance with seats falling off Will not revisit .

We ordered chicken Sandos which were cold brioche buns with tiny , overdone pieces of chicken as the filling. No garnish. Definitely not worth £11. Shame as the place has a nice vibe. I am giving two stars as the house white was delicious. But I won’t be returning.

The brunch brioche was excellent - smashed avo, poached eggs, bacon, chiili, etc was first class, as was the OJ and Flat White.

Toast is fantastic: great vibe that changes through the day / week (their evening menu is excellent, and different), the service is warm and friendly, and most of all there food is great quality and interesting. Love it!
