Tasty waffles, very sweet strawberry sauce, but I guess that's what you'd expect. No oreo `bits` in the ice cream, which was disappointing.

The Works in Aylesbury is a fantastic dessert spot, offering a variety of delicious treats served in crepes or on waffles. Logan’s courtesy elevated the experience. Despite his youth, his chat made the visit enjoyable. Recommended!

Friendly service. Waffles on the thin side in my opinion as they are quite airy and did taste like out of packet mix as opposed to freshly mixed but it was edible and not too sweet. Kids option still on the pricey side considering it’s only half a waffle served instead of a whole one hence why I knocked out a star. Strawberries were fresh and tasty. Cappuccino and latte both tasted the same which was disappointing. Vanilla ice cream was good. Lots of seating with high chair available. A good varied menu.

Zero stars would be preferable! Overpriced & inedible food. Rude staff & owner.

Dreadfully poor excuse for edible food - how difficult can it be to get Nachos right? Apparently it involves cheap Nachos, a miniscule amount of cheese, and freezing cold toppings...all cheese solidified and tasteless.

Great place to visit for home made ice-cream in a variety of flavours, very kid friendly and accommodating, often come here with the whole family and everyone has a great time!

The restaurant is in the town centre, very convenient. We had breakfast items and coffee, the menu is extensive and plenty of choice. Staff were friendly and helpful. However it did not seem to be a very cosy place, with lots of bare wood etc.

The BEST place to go in Aylesbury! Their French Toast is the best around! Their coffee is good too.

There's something very cosy about 'The Works' - a lovely atmosphere and really friendly staff. I only popped in for an ice cream, but it was delicious!! I'll certainly be going back.

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, fancy some sweet treats or you just want some great food topped with some great service head here! We were greeted and served by Sydney who confirmed how many of us there would be, took us over to a table making sure of any allergies and if the table was ok before seating us and passing us the menus (including Christmas special menu) Sydney was super friendly, really helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and also had some great recommendations all whilst maintaining that fabulous smile! Absolute asset to the company, should be feel really lucky they have such an employee within their team that is so dedicated to providing the customer experience to the highest standard! I had the Apple and Cinnamon waffle paired with a Biscoff shake (MEGA) absolutely wolfed it down, one of the best milkshakes I’ve ever had and matched with the waffle it was the perfect combo for me! Overall cleanliness - the place is obviously kept under good strategic team planning as the place as it reflected in how clean the restaurant and facilities were. I will definitely be back as the customer service alone was inviting and made us feel welcome as soon as we got through the door! Thank you Sydney! Highly recommended place to visit for any local or visitor alike!

We got a delivery the other night when it arrived the order was missing my daughter ice-cream I gave them a call they sent then order out straight away and somthing extra making two very happy children. I believe the lady I spoke to on the phone was Georgia

We went for the christmas wreath making and we did absolutely love it! We hope we can come back next year!

Been here a few times for ice cream and waffles which is always amazing so decided to give their new christmas wreath making event a try. It was brilliant. Rob was brilliant and showing us what to do and helping us when needed. All the provided materials were wonderful. Plenty to go around. Fantastic evening, fantastic place, overall great experience.

Went to The Works to celebrate our 4 year old granddaughters birthday - everyone loved it! From the 4 year old to the 80 year old. I had French toast with maple syrup - amazing! Mom isn’t fond of pancakes or waffles - no problem they made her a bacon and egg sandwich on brioche. They made the birthday girl feel very special. Warm and friendly - the atmosphere and the staff. Thank you.

The works is a favourite of ours and we often ppp in for Sunday pancake breakfast treat. This time we decided to order in as a pre wedding day treat. And it didn’t disappoint. Pancakes and waffles cooked to order with an amazing array of toppings and flavours. And omg the ice cream. Devine. And and and. You can buy it by the ‘bucket’

Really nice brunch. Large portions; you won't go away hungry. Very good service; friendly and attentive. We didn't try the sweet menu but looking forward to another visit to give those a go!

I had high expectations due to the reviews and it was not great. The strawberries are soggy which ended up making the waffle soggy and mushy. Ended up being unbearable to eat.

Staff are very kind and professional. Food that I've had so far is amazing. The only thing that would make the place better is serving "hardened milkshakes".

My partner and I visited the works spontaneously on Saturday 16th after having a pretty bad day so far and looking for something to cheer us up. Start to finish absolutely perfect. We were served by Ryan who was so lovely, engaging and humorous and made us feel instantly welcomed and relaxed. He explained the menu thoroughly and our food and drinks arrived promptly. My French toast and my partner pancakes were some of the best we’ve had in such a long time, clean plates all round. We had two hard shakes also (well needed), which were absolutely delicious! My partner had a scoop of kinder ice cream to go and the manager and Ryan very kindly offered me some pistachio also, which was thoroughly enjoyed and so appreciated after the bad day that we had prior to our visit. Turned the whole day around. So thank you so much. We will definitely be back and would thoroughly recommend x

The food was ok,i would say portions were a bit small and it would be nice to have more choice on creeps and waffles, but the service was great,i am not sure what is that guys name who served us it was Thursday evening, anyways you wont experience service like that often, he was very kind and had great energy.Thank you.

Quick, friendly service. Visited on a weekday at 3pm and received food within 10 minutes of ordering. French toast with salted caramel & banana (see photo) was amazing. Its not cheap but you're paying for a quality dessert. Great treat!

Frequent visitor. We love their desserts and the feel of the place. The Ice cream is amazing! Noticed slight dip in service when we last visited, such as staff talking loudly amongst themselves near the tables about their own interests so it was hard for us to hear each other. Also we were asked to pay mid dessert and have never experienced this before. But overall lovely place and nice stop and may have just been a one off. Would recommend.

Such good ice cream! The flavours are great, and the special flavours (made in house) are divine! Apple pie, bakewell tart, what more could you want? And they do them sundaes, on a waffle, between some cookies for £10?! It's soo good

Unimaginative menu all served on white painted camping plates, milk served in salt and pepper containers (bafflingly) drinks served in jars and other things served in a little bucket. All the ice cream tastes the same and it’s all either waffles or crepes. It’s all the same stuff from the start if not a little less of it now and if I’m honest it’s a tad expensive for what it is. I kept reminding them of the wonders of ROOTBEER but to no avail. I can’t help but wonder they’re trying too hard to be a bit hipster. Two or three visits here before you realise it can’t give you a better experience. Friendly staff though and that’s it…. When they bother to attend to you when you’ve called for them multiple times and they ignore you and flirt with the manager instead. Horrendous. Why oh why my other half drags me there from time to time is just beyond me.

Fantastic place for deserts in Aylesbury town centre. Home made ice creams with a ice cream factory there. Nice crepes and pancakes. Beginning of holidays to make a nice place to hang out. Decor is retro, cross over of American diner with contemporary European.

Rustic feel, food had lots of variety in flavours at reasonable price

We went for slunch and we really enjoyed everything everything. I had nachos and they were super yummy 😋 The nachos had enough pulled pork, guacamole and other fillings. Their portions are very good and big portions of icecreams. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The toilets were a bit disappointing, there were not clean.

'American Diner' style with some dishes that I've never seen in America or anywhere else. I never realized you could put so much on waffles, but the TexMex waffles were actually tasty. Nachos were a bit overdone (melted block of cheese at the bottom of the container) but fresh smashed avocado is always nice. Lack of burgers and fries on the menu is questionable, but what's there is well thought out and enjoyable. Worth a try.

Lovely food. Not often we can have savoury options for waffles and it tasted lovely. But the sweet ones were better😜 nothing could best a banoffee crepe. Milkshakes were made with in house ice cream with lots of flavours to choose from. Signed up as a member and got a free milkshake too!

Fantastic place I really enjoyed the ice cream but it did take a bit of time to be delivered to the table.

I cannot believe how nice this place is, the desserts are off the charts, the apple strudel waffle thingy tasted just exactly like an apple pie! The crepes are superior, so smooth, and the way they serve it is like something from a Michelin star restaurant! Definetely will reccommend this place to my friends.

The staff were amazing. Nice, considerate and cheerful. Made the experience 10x better. Their waffles are perfectly cooked, hot and crunchy. Would definitely go again.

Great Ice cream,waffles and Sundaes

Photos from old and new trips, some as old as 2017. The works is a great place for a catch up with friends and has great dessert options but also savoury ones too for those who don't have a sweet tooth. Banoffee Waffle is my go too, love it! The works staff ate always friendly and accommodating, the service is quick and easy to pay when done too.

I would go to dusty Aylesbury for the The Works because of their Perfect sundaes. Just never change your menu please... For price, it is on the high end tho.

Always an option for the Lee family. We love the works for breakfast. Staff are great and the eggs royal is always spot on. Vegan pancakes are also good for the little one with egg allergy.

We always enjoy our experience here but yesterday was exceptional all because of our waiter reece and the lovely lady behind the counter. Reece was very kind and patient with us as we ordered with our very hungry tired children and went above and beyond to make sure we had all we neded whilst we enjoyed our meal. The food and deserts are also very delicious. Thank you very much.

The best place in Aylesbury for dessert. They have an amazing range of dessert and ice cream to choose from and I've never had a bad experience here. The service is always exceptional with extremely friendly staff and even when they forgot a friends dessert they gave it to her for free as an apology so they do go above and beyond for you. This is not the first time I have witnessed such an amazing service as they previously made every effort to cater for a group of 10 in the past when they were having issues at the venue. The prices are always very reasonable too for the amount that you get plus the aesthetic of the place is lovely. If you want ice cream and an escape room, their branch in high Wycombe does both!

The management and staff today we're absolutely amazing today on our visit to Aylesbury works. We were treated so well on such a sad day. My uncle wanted to visit again to remember the good times he had there with his beloved wife who sadly passed earlier in the year. Thank you everyone. X

£3 for soda water and syrup, that just tastes like soda water is crazy. Either buy the real thing in, or lower the prices- because £3 for a fake coke is shocking. Apart from that food was great, would recommend the french toast! I’ll definitely be back, but will be asking for tap water! 🤣 Only other con is it took us a while to get seated, on a quiet weekday. We were stood at the door for quite some time, while a waiter just standing around looked at us and the person behind the counter (who was actually preparing food, so fair), looked at us. The guy who was presumably the host ended up walking through the front door a few minutes later (looked like he’d popped to the shop), and seated us. It shouldn’t be all on this gent, or create a new seating system if the other members of staff don’t want to seat people.

I just wanted to thank Roger and his team for the best service and ice cream. We had a fantastic experience in the restaurant when we visited, and we have since booked them for our wedding which I’m sure the guests will love. Popped in today for lunch with my partner. First time visit and did not disappoint. Friendly owners, and great to see an individual style eaterie. We had a hot dog and waffles with ice cream. Food was great and it was just a really nice place to spend an hour or so.

As always, the food was excellent, but for the first time, the service was below the level we normally see.

We had a lovely lunch and treats. It was a busy Saturday, the only thing that let our experience down was that there was a changeover of staff when we were there and the second half of our visit the service was slow, we had to ask for cutlery after being served desserts etc. Overall, we do love it here!

Poor customer service The waitress did add extra £1 ,80 charge without been made clear verbally before the meal. I don't recommend. Tables and toilet dirty. Poor attitude!

Fab experience here this evening. Super speedy service with a fab smile from Ryan. Nothing was too much trouble and he made us feel so welcome. Had dinner at the works as a pre movie meal, it was that good we came back for seconds after the movie, ordering something from every part of the menu. Provided a happy-family atmosphere, service with a smile and a minimal wait after ordering. Every time we come here, the works never fail to show us the outstanding service!

Ordered Oreo milkshake. Very disappointing. Way too milky not enough flavour. Most dessert places use a combo of vanilla ice cream , milk and Oreo biscuits. Here they just put the Oreo ice-cream straight in the mixer with milk. The result was a very disappointing Oreo milkshake. Prob the worse I've had.
