The Plough in Aylesbury Vale

Dinner was delicious and didn’t have to wait long waited a little while for our drinks but because they late we was giving a round on the house which was lovely

The plough accommodated us after we were let down for my brothers 40th birthday, they only had a few hours to get extra staff in as there were 17 of us. The lady on the phone (Sam) was amazing. When we got there we were welcomed with smiley faces and they couldn’t accommodate us enough. Honestly the whole atmosphere was amazing. Sam was brilliant such a lovely lady and she also got in two staff that were on their day off. When we finally got round to ordering our food as there were lots of children lol. We were amazed and surprised at home great the food looked. Honestly the food was amazing really tasty. We all said we’d all definitely go back. My family came from high Wycombe and Maidenhead and said they’d definitely travel just to come back to the plough again. So a massive thank you and well done to the staff at the plough. We can’t thank you all enough. See you again soon.

Friendly staff 😊 , food was great . The only negative point, when we asked for tartar sauce at the till, told us food comes with it, but once they serve the food , was no tartar sauce.when we asked, we only got two sachets of sauce, apart from this, everything was great sn definitely will come back 🪻😊thank you

Me mum dad and my sister went out to the plough to Celebrate my birthday 28th March for the first time as we just moved to Aylesbury and the staff behind the bar was very helpful and friendly and the food was excellent it was freshly cooked and hot . But to the Restaurant need to change the drink menu that you had other drinks behind the bar like Carsburg I ordered that was not on the menu Otherwise. It is worth returning to. And any one reads this in Aylesbury the plough is Worth to book and price are good

We had a party of 17 for a birthday and another establishment had let us down last minute and we contacted this place and a lovely lady called Sam accommodated us last minute the staff were amazing and food was fantastic I would definitely travel again to come here it's an amazing place ❤️

Food was very nice but when we got to the plough there was no one behind the bar waited 10 minutes before someone come out but went over to the singer was in conversation with her for another 10 minutes when we were eventually served she told I did not have a table booked I said I booked through the app she gave us a table when I asked how long was the wait for food was told as long as it takes to cook we're very busy and no staff as this was our anniversary we went to see the ABBA show but because we're treated so bad we left after our meal which ruined our night out I think the person name was Lorraine she seemed in a bad mood as soon as we got there she shouldn't take it out on paying customer as we use this pub a lot with family and friends not happy customer with service we received

We go here once a month,the food is really good, service is excellent & the price is affordable, would highly recommend this place 👌

Absolutely amazing food I had the greek burger from the new menu jalapenos gyros chicken Greek sauce bit of cheese and perfectly cooked chips with a fresh Guinness. Wonderful! Sue the bar lady was fantastic really welcoming and happy to help. If you are passing please give it a go well worth the money if I had my phone on me I would of taken pictures to show you how lovely the food and service was. Very family orientated food prices great food and puka Guinness. Go there and find out if you are passing or local. Again I would like to thank SUE for her second to none service with a smile. You will be seeing me again as you are now my new local.

One of the best pubs in Aylesbury to get some decent food. Always great service and a friendly welcome from Lorraine, she really is an asset to the place I hope she never leaves :)

Always a fantastic experience from a food and service perspective. Sue is amazing and always on hand with a smile and a caring word. She is a credit to the pub and the sizzler group in general. We'll be back again soon.

Always a lovely warm welcome and always so accommodating even as it was a last minute eating choice and Lorraine was helpful and even though it was so busy food was served in good time, hot and extremely tasty.

The manager is extremely rude she even had a go at a child with disabilities I am extremely unhappy with the service me and my friends revived I am even thinking of not returning to this establishment.

My friend puts some money in a soft toy machine the Machine got jammed and she lost her pound on speaking to the manager and the manager was very rude very abrupt about saying that the machine was off when it was on and the...

Fresh, hot and yummy food with fabulous service. Always great value for a family meal. John, as always provided us with attentive but not overbearing service. Really enjoyed the new menu.

We popped in for lunch as we were passing. As soon as you walk in you can feel the friendly atmosphere. We were shown the new menu from which we ordered I had the vegetable dhansak and my husband had the chicken and mushroom pie....

I am not coming here again as the staff was extremely rude expesoly the manager Larron I lost some money in a toy merchine I waited for help a staff member turned it off so when the manager did see me the merchine was off the shouted at me asking why I put money in it at the point I put money in the marchine was on. So there was no reason for her response.

Excellent service from Sue. The new menu has a large variety of choices. We ordered mixed grill, tandoori chicken and surf and turf. Deserts were delicious too. Would recommend you to try it.

My Sister inlaw has just recently moved to Aylesbury. We decided to go for a Pub lunch we chose the Plough as was the nearest we were welcomed and seated. We chose our food we were a party of 5 it was a new menu and the employee of the pub Sue was so very helpful and patient. The staff here are always so friendly and welcoming. Popped in today for lunch and were shown the new menu. Our server Sue took us through it all, answered a couple of questions we had about it and took our order happily. Food was prompt...

As I am a regular at the Plough mainly on a Sunday lunchtime I must say that the service I receive has always been first class. I must also say a big thank you to Sue for always making myself and my family welcome and providing excellent service . Many thanks.

Went down the plough on Saturday for a birthday surprise with my family, had a lovely meal and Sue served us she was very polite and as always very professional. We often come down for Sunday lunch and Sue is always there, she's a very hard worker always with a smile on her face.

Had a lovely time tonight, food was good, staff were lovely, Sue always has a big smile on her face when we go and lovely with the children too 😃

We booked a table for 5.30pm, there was a wait for food (30 minutes became nearer 50) but it was hot and tasty when it came. Sue was very excellent and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you

We visited with family, we have 3kids and decided to pop out for dinner. The restaurant was very friendly and welcoming on a whole. Which makes a huge difference to the dinning experience. The atmosphere was really friendly. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and attentive - both the lady with the dark hair behind the bar and also an employee called John. The food was also delicious; all dishes served at the same time and just cooked. They were well presented and generous in size. Lovely, easy going lunch!

We turned up on a busy Saturday evening without booking and unfortunately there were no tables available. Decided to stay for a drink anyway whilst we looked for somewhere else to go and before we were finished the lovely staff had managed to find a table to accommodate us. Food was very tasty and massive portions, very reasonably priced for what you get. The staff were all really lovely and very engaging with our son. Thank you to Sue and the really nice and helpful server we had (sorry, I didn’t get your name). We will definitely be back

Had an evening meal here due to ‘sickness’ - yes, I was sick of cooking! Friendly service, careful over my allergies (even going into to kitchen to check as it’s not one of the regular allergies) prompt delivery of freshly cooked food….what more could anyone want?

Sue was our waitress lovely lady very friendly.

The staff were very friendly. Especially the young girl behind the bar. We had a long wait for our meal, not sure why as it wasn't particularly busy. As a non smoking couple,we didn't like having to walk passed the smokers to get to the entrance.

Quite busy and had to wait quite a while to be served and a 45 min wait for food to arrive. But food hot and good value for money. Sue behind the bar was very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely visit, it was my daughter’s birthday and the staff made a fuss of her. They brought her a helium balloon and gave her extra chocolates on her pudding. They were very attentive and friendly.

Absolutely brilliant and professional service conducted by a wonderful young man by the name of Mr Peter Joshua, and his young colleague Emily. Both made myself and my auntie feel welcomed, settled and safe every minute we was there. Most definitely would recommend, such a brilliant set of staff x

19 of us went for a meal and post Christmas get together and Chefs Lorraine and Sam and FoH Chealse and PJ were brilliant. Food was hot and delicious and the service was spot on. We will be back again

We had a great time on Saturday 6th January 2024 we got there about 7pm and it wasn't a planned night but friends turned up in the end there was over 20 of us and the 2 bar staff PJ and Emily did not stop working bless them they were on the go until closing non stop they worked so hard and kept us all happy so I would like to thank the pair of them for making our nights as they didn't have time to breath . I wouldn’t recommend it! The app was confusing and difficult to use, allowing no room for any alterations to the meal so you were stuck with whatever it had on there. The food was slow to come out and in dribs and drabs, definitely not altogether. When we got the food much of it was cold or clearly heated up from another time as I scraped the reheated food from the dish I had and not quite sure it should be black or crunchy at the base of the dish. Very basic and mostly tasteless.

I will Never go here again, waited 20 minutes only to be asked. Can I help you !! “ my friend said yes,” we would like to have a table please. The reply came very sharp. Well you can see were busy you’ll have to wait ( only 2 people severing ) We waited in the booth area where we were sent for another 15 minutes to have our table cleaned which didn’t happen !!! then to be told when we went to order food,, the food will be another 45 if we ordered. With that, I took my grandson and asked my friend, should we somewhere else to eat !! Absolutely appalling I will never ever go here again for a meal. I can’t comment on the food, obviously as never got a chance to order any. The booth where we got put was totally suitable for my five year old grandson. Anyway, it was sticky dirty and the seats were ripped. I will Never to return again to this place The woman working behind the bar may have been busy but that comes with working in hospitality. No need to be rude.

Wish I could review the food, but at this rate it’ll be deep into 2024 with how long it’s taking….. when food eventually arrived it was clearly rushed and cold. I would avoid this place in my personal opinion.

Not a good experience!! Staff were rude. Glasses were filthy and we were told if we wanted to eat, we would not take priority over booked tables. There are ways to explain things to customers without making us feel like a burden!! Waited a while for drinks to be brought to table .. staff were too busy chatting instead of serving.. walked out in the end and ate somewhere else! Will not return to this place any time soon!!

We booked with mum for Christmas Day but sadly she passed away earlier this month. My partner & I decided to still go as it was mum’s favourite place. Ross , Sue and the team loved mum always having her teapot ready whenever we went and calling her mum too. I asked if they could still set a place today, they went the extra mile and set her teapot out as well along with a Christmas card to us with heartfelt words about Mum . I wasn’t looking forward to Christmas at all but they made our day. The food was fantastic as was the outstanding service as always. Thank you so much , you all worked so hard giving up your Christmas to help others enjoy theirs. And a huge thank you for making our Christmas special xxx Linda & Andy

What a lovkey place and the staff are fantastic. I went for lunch today and ordered a steak dinner cooked by chef Sam. And it was absolutely fantastic. Cooked to perfection, she even came out to ask me how it was. Brilliant service from behind the bar from Ems aswell very helpful and customer service is fantastic.. tha k you the plough for a wonderful experience.

Had my mothers wake there.this was our third visit to the plough for funeral wakes.very impressed with the food and the friendly staff.everyone commented to me how they like the food/buffet etc.no really sure how you could improve on things.i was very happy with the way things went.

Under new management which are turning this local gem back to a family pub, there is a section for dog owners and they do a really great breakfast, order straight from table and food our very quickly lovely staff and friendly

We celebrated our 59th. Wedding Anniversary and my 79th.Birthday here. today, together with our Family. The food was excellent (Thank you Chef), table and bar service by the Staff (Sue and John) was friendly, efficient and a perfect example of top customer service and care. The Manager is so charismatic, engaging and pleasant and definitely knows his business. They all made this a day to be remembered and we cannot express our gratitude enough. We highly recommend.

Our church (Kingsbrook and Broughton church) has our monthly men's breakfast at the Plough. We met there yesterday and had the use of the backroom. The landlord brought us our food in a timely manner. I had a big breakfast and it was delicious. The landlord was happy to provide extra toast when requested.

Had a lovely meal there last night with my family for my son in laws 40th birthday. Everyone enjoyed their food, the staff were fantastic and Lorraine excelled herself in making everything lovely for us, she couldn’t do enough it was fab!!

Booked a table for lunch due to the 40% offer and wanted somewhere reasonably close by to husbands work

Food has always been great value from the Sizzler pubs. However, the service was quite slow this evening compared to the other sizzler pub in the area, where we waited 50mins for our order and again a considerable wait for our desserts too.

Me and my partner just had a lovely lunch at the plough Larayne served us. She is a lovely lively lady. Very attentive.. we both had steak which was cooked to our liking and very tasty the ribs were lovely. My partner had the mega mixed grill which is really enjoyed the sausages were very tasty. (He’s a fussy sod usually) highly recommend their :)

Local national chain pub, sizzling pubs, similar to hungry horse, Harvester etc. No real personality like the old "local" pub but seems popular with the locals. While we were in the pub, midday, it was very steady and a lot of customers were ordering food, breakfast being popular. Staff both cheerful and helpful.
