The White Hart in Aylesbury Vale

This is our favourite Wetherspoons locally - the staff are friendly and helpful, the food is always tasty and arrives quickly with a smile. The atmosphere is good and the beer (guest ales) are usually EXCELLENT. However I have deducted 1 star from food because for some reason the White Hart has fewer items on the menu compared with other Wetherspoons.

A good breakfast at a good price with a large parking lot right next door.

It's a witherspoon, cheap and cheerful. Staff all friendly. The American burger was terrible, small and not a good potion of chips with it.

It's a typical Wetherspoons pub.

Have visited this pub quite often. The atmosphere is amazing, food is excellent great choices. Security working Saturday evening so you know it's a safe place for families

Just a cheap pub. Good value for money

I was treated extremely badly by a waitress, who asked me to change tables because other people had ordered food at my table, and I sat down because there was no sign that there were any customers there, and I sat for a long time choosing my lunch through the app, then the waitress came and asked me to leave the table in a very, very rude manner, when we work with the public the least we have to do is be polite. I always go to this restaurant during my lunch break, but I was very disappointed with the treatment I received from the employee in question.

Overall, our experience at this pub was pretty damn good. We went in with low expectations and left impressed. The combination of good food, friendly staff, quick service, and excellent value for money surprised us – especially as it is a Wetherspoons! Based on our visit, we can recommend this pub - at least on a weekday lunchtime when we visited. It might be a different place on a Friday night! We will be returning soon. This proves you don't need to spend a fortune to enjoy a good meal in a welcoming and friendly (albeit busy) environment. Cheers to the team for making our visit such a delightful surprise!

Work get-together for Sunday lunch. I chose not to have a meal and waited patiently to order my coffee and desert whilst the group ended their meals. I ordered the cinnamon laden apple pie a firm favourite of mine. Unfortunately, it was pleasant on tasting and over microwaved and stuck to the plate. A small tentative taste confirmed the unusual taste. Returning to the bar i was told I could change it for something else, I did not want a refund. The staff member when asked by the manager why i wanted it changed bellowed at me " just because you don't like it, can't change it". He continued in the same vein until I asked him to not shout at me. He was rude and selvf- opinionated and his performance was simply for the crowded bar!! I was NOT happy with his behaviour towards me, a paying customer. No offer of a change of desert or even a suggestion of a refund. As a gesture of support my 9 (nine) colleagues chose to boycott having a desert. A clear loss of revenue to the WH. Maybe you need to review that particular member of staff... I am sure no further revenue loss and customers is not good for business!!

Never met a more rasist pub in all my life went in to order a drink I had a 50 pound note and two 5 pounds I wanted the five pounds to play the machines I was refused my drink beacuse I had a 50 pound note I then stated it was legal tender I then went to buy the drink with the 2 five pound notes and was refused a drink why is this beacuse I have an Irish accent or what disgusting I will be rasing this higher and the staff name was Kelly has a slight attitude probl9m and should not be behind the bar and the manager there just tool her side I will be going higher with this

Good busy pub in a very convenient place in the centre of Aylesbury

Usual Wetherspoons. No interest in the building. It's a graceless modern era building. Staff are fine, but not enough to keep tables clear and clean at any busy time.

Had breakfast with my friend on tuesday. No complaints at all. Food was good, price was very reasonable and staff were very friendly and helpful.

A barely lukewarm breakfast (cold after a few mouthfuls,) not great on freezing cold day. Waitress snappy snd unhelpful. I left most of it. Think she was having a bad day. She has previously been friendly On previous occasions the food has been which is why I gave 3 instead of 1/2

I visit White Hart once or twice a month, the staff are super efficient, very friendly waiting staff, the fish and chips is better than many chippies, prices are great. We're so blessed to have a place like this to go for relaxing meal and drinks. The staff are the best.

Love this pub great food and prices Have had quite a few different meals and not been disappointed.

Went in for breakfast, just as they opened. Issue with hot drink solved quickly and efficiently.

The chicken Tikka masala had hardly any rice with the curry and the chicken was quite chewy. It would be better if there was a bit more rice with it.

Don't know how they do it, prices are so low, food portions are very good. Staff are friendly. Definitely go back

Popped in for lunch, was super impressed with the prices most of which come with a drink. Service was super quick and portion sizes were very generous. Will definitely be back soon!

Really excellent service, drinks arrived within minutes of ordering and the food soon after. Really easy to use app makes it very easy and the food is exactly as expected and good value for money.

Bar staff extremely rude, whilst waiting to be served the female served several customers before myself when I said excuse me I'm next she said I serve this side not that! I have said that, but no she hadn't else I would have stood else where to be served. However once eventually served the bar man because I had commented I should have stood there and asked for a drink was over the top in how rude i had been about being served and threathened to bar me and my partner just for commenting we where stood in the wrong place! Extremely rude staff, completely overdramaric, I was gappy to wait my turn however after 7 people being served infeont of me that had gone to the bar after me , no just blatantly being rude!

Sat outside as it says, no dogs inside.....just been told that I can't sit outside with the dog.....wtf.....are they crazy.

Visited here for a few pints on a Friday night. This was the most buzzing pub we have been in for years. People of every age range talking, eating and having a few drinks. A constant buzzing of conversation. No loud music to have to shout over and staffed efficiently so no long wait to be served. I would rate this pub. We didn't eat so can't comment but many were and the food looked fine

Great staff, great selection of beers, casual but elegant. Family friendly and very affordable prices. The food was good. Also has a good selection of spirits. The staff are nice, polite and very warmth.

Currently Wetherspoons #126 visited. A fair sized branch with a square shaped bar just by the entrance. A good sized outdoor seating area exists outside the pub. It is situated on the edge of Aylesbury Town centre, near the Theatre. This is now the only branch in Aylesbury since the nearby Bell Hotel was closed. This is another of those rare Wetherspoons pubs that plays music, on weekend evenings. The pub was fairly busy inside and out when I visited. Ordered a pint of Strongbow Dark Fruits and a 10" Southern Fried Chicken Wrap and chips. Total cost was £6.68 The pint arrived around a minute after ordering. With the food arriving in around 9 minutes. No issues with food quality, or temperature, when it arrived. Also attempted to order a pint of Nethergate Old Growler Porter listed on the app. However, it wasn't on, so had to make do with a Windsor & Eton Brewery Windsor Knot Beer. I do wish some branches would keep their Real Ale Lists up to date on the app! One of the cheapest places for food and drink in Aylesbury. Therefore worth a visit if you don't want to break the bank when eating out in Aylesbury. Edit: Returned on 7th Sept 2024. This time I had a Sticky Korean Fried Chicken Bowl and a bottle of Bulmers Red Berries and Lime. Total cost £10.02. Once again pub was quite busy. Drink arrived within a few minutes of ordering. Food arrived in just over 10 minutes. A quite well presented offering and no issues with quality, or temperature of food - as it was served piping hot.

It's a Wetherspoons, value food and drink, atmosphere could be better but hey-ho, almost half price compared to most others 👍

Absolute disgrace, they have tables on the public footpath outside (not within the premises footprint) and they refused to serve us because we had a dog. The only place on our 4 month trip on our narrowboat that didn't cater for dogs. In Leicester we were served at a Weatherspoons no issues. I will never use this business again.

Busy clean lively, food delivered promptly.

This is our local Wetherspoon we come here for the draft Leffe, really good price for that. Last few weeks now it’s either out or something is wrong with the cooler. This is just not good enough guys. We would have spent probably another £50-£60 today but will go elsewhere to get a decent Belgian beer.

Don't know why average score is 3.9 This is the cleanest, best run, quick service in any Wetherspoons we've ever visited. Staff brilliant, food arrived quickly. Yes it's busy but good atmosphere.

Be aware that the 'Manager's Specials' menu on the table is not charged at the discounted offer when ordering. You will pay full price and when queried, was told that it wasn't amended in the till,and cannot be refunded! False advertising!

It's fantastic, exactly what you want, when you want it, fairly priced, quick service, nice staff, happy crowd, enjoining it every time.

Went for an early evening meal with my family. Went to the bar to order and was told that we couldn’t order cheesey chips for our son as they didn’t have enough chips! ( how does a Weatherspoons run out of chips! 😂) one of the staff said they definitely couldn’t do anything, Dan, very unhelpful but luckily the other lady we dealt with went to the kitchen and they agreed to do it ❤️. We also ordered 2 bowls of nachos and a scampi & chips. The scampi was fine but the nachos turned up with no sour cream and no jalapeños, as stated on the menu. When I asked Dan he said there isn’t any, I asked why I wasn’t told when I ordered and he shrugged, I said that i wouldn’t have ordered them if I’d known, and he rudely said ‘Did you just order them for the sour cream then?!’ I said I was disappointed with the service from him and his response was ‘what do you expect it’s only a Weatherspoons! I’m sure the management team are really proud to have him as an employee!

It's a Wetherspoons. Ever been in a Wetherspoons? It's like that. Avoid the cask beer (company policy is to buy end of line so they get them cheap).

As always great value, good atmosphere, fast service... It's why I invested in them... Tim Martin is a fine example to all of British industry.

Just stopped for a quick beer midday and everything was ok

The security guards think they are police, they throw you out of there without giving you an explanation... I have never seen what happens there before, completely nonsense...

Food was basic but ok. Not the most friendly of food waiting staff. Bit confused about their no smoking policies outside to the side of the pub though. We were rudely asked not to smoke at the table as this is a no smoking area. Didn't notice the no smoking disc on the table, not on all the tables though. They might have an agreement to put tables and chairs out by the council but surely can't enforce no smoking here as this is a public footpath. If they can do this they need to put up no smoking signs either end of the footpath and remove the council emptied bin by the table that says Stub IT Out..... I'm within my rights to smoke in this area whether seated or standing. If they maintain this area then they need to sweep up all the cigarette butts.

If you're looking for "quaint English pub filled with historical character", this isn't it. If you're looking for "cheap & cheerful, with a bunch of room for a large group, and some outside areas for the nice weather", this is the place.

Been to quite a few Wetherspoons over the years and this one was superb, the staff were brilliant. Some I have visited the staff have one speed which is slower than slow, not the case here. One thing which really bugs me is when staff walk on past tables that need clearing but just carry on walking to the kitchen/bar empty handed, if you're going anyway pick something up and take it with you. The staff in this Wetherspoons were quick to clear tables and wipe them down. An extremely pleasant visit, definitely recommend the curry and the fish and chips both were extremely good value and include a drink. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this venue. Big thumbs up and thank you to the staff :)

The absolutely beautiful Kelly served me several times tonight and wow! What a perceptive member of bar staff! This is what you need! A member of staff that understands the job. We went on a busy Saturday lunchtime, got seated easily, placed our order which arrived 15minutes later and was hot and very tasty, also very reasonably priced, only down side very noisy but we expected that on a Saturday lunchtime, it was worth going despite that so well done wetherspoons!!

We came at 20:10 all security saw that we are together with the kid. After we sat down , ordered food.. at 20:30 when we received our food - came security guy and said that we got 25 mins to finish all our food and go out. We asked why? Why nobody said to us before we came in? He replied: If you don’t like something- I can kick you out from here right now… He was so rude with us - so we couldn’t even finish our meal and without any mood we went out from this place - never ever if we will be in Aylesbury- we not gonna go there. Also I do not advise to visit this place. Was a lovely waitress- food was not bad.. but the issue there was a rude security.

Fairly good for a new-building Wetherspoon. Has had a reasonable range of guest ales on, but lately the choice has been very poor. Best avoided after 8pm on Friday and Saturday evenings unless you want to listen to booming dance music and watch groups of drunk middle-aged women making fools of themselves

Lovely pub but the temperature was very cold inside. I couldn't wait to get outside which shame as I would of stayed longer

A group of 25 former work colleagues meet up every 6 weeks or so for breakfast and a natter. The staff here makes us very welcome laying on extra staff to cope with all our meals at once. They are OK with us rearranging the tales to form two long tables. Food is decent enough and we all get good value from our unlimited refills for tea and coffee.

It never disappoints. Really good value for money. Staff are friendly and you don't wait long

Cheap and cheerful. Great for a drink and food. Good for people with children for sure. Go once a week after a long walk.

Dark and dingy. The few window seats were raken. Full of the local alcoholics which made for an uncomfortable time.. Food was okay. Service with a smile would have helped. Only stayed because elderly relative needed to sit and eat to help with blood pressure. We are not from the area and the was nearest . Definitely would never recommend.

Food is so cheap for what you get. Service was quick and friendly and a nice calm vibe in the place. Really nice bar staff.

Good food and drink at very reasonable prices. Stayed in Travel Lodge opposite so also had breakfast in here, also excellent value and well cooked. Well done Wetherspoons as usual.

Extremely handy for the Waterside Theatre

Very popular venue, was very busy during the time we were there. Food came out quickly, service was very good. Great and good value for money 🥂

All I can say is don't bring legal tender £50 note's in to any dj wetherspoons its company policy to not except them . But would like to ask if that's the case maybe get something printed off and put on doors as you walk in and on the bar's. Cos you would not know until you ordered food or drinks. Let the hard working people know what the banks print cash 💸 💰 but you can't use it. Strange thing is that you can get fake 5s, 10s, 20s, but it'd OK to not except 50s not even a machine to check if they are fake. Apart from that cheap food and drinks. Happy day's.

Had a whole hour to kill so I popped in for an evening meal. Food arrived good and hot very quickly. Staff are friendly and helpful and the price was very reasonable. Place is child friendly and the pub presented with a happy atmosphere.

One of the better spoons. Plenty of seating, nice bar, gets very busy around shows in the theatre though so check beforehand.

Nice pub situated opposite Waterside Theatre Aylesbury. Great Wetherspoons prices for 🍸 drinks. It was extremely busy..... so if wanting food before a show.... my tip would be arrive early to get a table.

Ale and fried Chicken with that delicious spicy sauce ! I would eat there everyday if I could!

Located next to a large carpark which is handy, quite a large pub plenty of seating, difficult navigating to the disabled toilet moving seats.

The brie bites were really good and the food was hot. Apart from that tho, the rest of the food was tasteless and my husband's steak and ale pie was really chewy. We only ate part of it because we were so hungry. Pretty much £14 per main for tasteless and chewy food. Very disappointed with that. However, the staff were really nice, helpful and friendly. If it was based on staff alone then I would go back there all the time and highly recommend. So if it's just a drink your after then definitely visit. If it's food you're after then I recommend finding somewhere else.
