The White Hart in Aylesbury Vale

If you're looking for "quaint English pub filled with historical character", this isn't it. If you're looking for "cheap & cheerful, with a bunch of room for a large group, and some outside areas for the nice weather", this is the place.

It never disappoints. Really good value for money. Staff are friendly and you don't wait long

Cheap and cheerful. Great for a drink and food. Good for people with children for sure. Go once a week after a long walk.

Dark and dingy. The few window seats were raken. Full of the local alcoholics which made for an uncomfortable time.. Food was okay. Service with a smile would have helped. Only stayed because elderly relative needed to sit and eat to help with blood pressure. We are not from the area and the was nearest . Definitely would never recommend.

Food is so cheap for what you get. Service was quick and friendly and a nice calm vibe in the place. Really nice bar staff.

Lovely service the food was fresh and well made and the prices are pretty fair. Excillent experience. Highly recommended going there with friends or family.

Good food and drink at very reasonable prices. Stayed in Travel Lodge opposite so also had breakfast in here, also excellent value and well cooked. Well done Wetherspoons as usual.

Fairly good for a new-building Wetherspoon. Has had a reasonable range of guest ales on, but lately the choice has been very poor. Best avoided after 8pm on Friday and Saturday evenings unless you want to listen to booming dance music and watch groups of drunk middle-aged women making fools of themselves

Very popular venue, was very busy during the time we were there. Food came out quickly, service was very good. Great and good value for money 🥂

All I can say is don't bring legal tender £50 note's in to any dj wetherspoons its company policy to not except them . But would like to ask if that's the case maybe get something printed off and put on doors as you walk in and on the bar's. Cos you would not know until you ordered food or drinks. Let the hard working people know what the banks print cash 💸 💰 but you can't use it. Strange thing is that you can get fake 5s, 10s, 20s, but it'd OK to not except 50s not even a machine to check if they are fake. Apart from that cheap food and drinks. Happy day's.

Had a whole hour to kill so I popped in for an evening meal. Food arrived good and hot very quickly. Staff are friendly and helpful and the price was very reasonable. Place is child friendly and the pub presented with a happy atmosphere.

One of the better spoons. Plenty of seating, nice bar, gets very busy around shows in the theatre though so check beforehand.

Nice pub situated opposite Waterside Theatre Aylesbury. Great Wetherspoons prices for 🍸 drinks. It was extremely busy..... so if wanting food before a show.... my tip would be arrive early to get a table.

Located next to a large carpark which is handy, quite a large pub plenty of seating, difficult navigating to the disabled toilet moving seats.

The brie bites were really good and the food was hot. Apart from that tho, the rest of the food was tasteless and my husband's steak and ale pie was really chewy. We only ate part of it because we were so hungry. Pretty much £14 per main for tasteless and chewy food. Very disappointed with that. However, the staff were really nice, helpful and friendly. If it was based on staff alone then I would go back there all the time and highly recommend. So if it's just a drink your after then definitely visit. If it's food you're after then I recommend finding somewhere else.

Absolutely the worst place I have ever been to. The place is filthy and the food was disgusting. I cannot stress enough how much you should avoid this place. The cutlery and glasses were dirty, the chairs were stained and the place is a health hazard. It should be shut down.

I'm not sure where to post this,but want to highly praise Heather from Aylesbury wetherspoons, she is always so friendly and helpful but today she showed such compassion for a gentleman who was obviously not well,she looked after him and constantly checked on him,I have never seen this care from anyone in the restaurants I have visited, she should be highly praised!

Not somewhere to go if you want a conversation unless you talk into one person's ear then get the reply in to your ear .....

It's a Wetherspoon. You get what you expect. It's a good one though. Food is good. You can order from the app. Atmosphere is as expected.

We had dinner at The White Hart in Aylesbury which is a Wetherspoons pub. We like to use the Wetherspoons app to order from the table and it all went very smoothly this evening. We placed an order for food and drinks and the drinks were served first so that we could enjoy them while our food was being prepared. Our food was then served by Liam. I asked Liam his name so that I could mention him in this review for his outstanding customer service. He was polite, cheerful, very efficient and really helped to give us a great experience at the pub. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. We live in Hornchurch, Essex, but it would be worth the trip to Aylesbury just to dine at this pub and enjoy the excellent food, service and atmosphere. Well done to the team at The White Hart on Sunday 28th May!

Came to eat dinner in here today, 12th Feb early evening and the staff were rude to customers and the girl that took my food order put it through wrong. I had told her twice what I wanted, then when it came out the only thing on my plate that was hot was the chips and it wasn't busy either. I was not impressed, won't be back in a hurry.

What a pit of uncaring ineptitude! We were looking for somewhere better than the travelodge for a weeks work of breakfast and thought we’d give this place a go. We were wrong. With all the staff showing a resistance to work and one going out of her way to stick to their bar ordering rules instead of helping a customer with a knee injury, we had no choice but to leave, hobble up the hill and find glorious sanctuary in Roccoco. We never got to eat at The White Hart, Aylesbury, but having read the other reviews, I think we dodged a bullet. Fellow trippers: walk on, walk on.

When leaving the Gents toilet after washing my hands and using the dryer, One of the Bar staff left the cubicle and followed me out passing the sinks without stopping to wash his hands.After telling my wife about this we decided to leave and not order any more drinks. Will not be using that pub again.

White hart in Aylesbury is the worse wetherspoon pub . Food was overcooked tripping in oil, cold. My mum returned her food and was given a fresh plate but food was still overcooked and cold. My advise to everyone coming to white hart do not eat here.

Can't go wrong with a Weatherspoon cooked breakfast. Food was piping hot, reasonably priced and very tasty. Staff is friendly and professional. Service was quick too, despite the place being very busy. Very happy overall

Due to covid, it was a little difficult, but the staff were very helpful, as it was busy with locals drinking. But we still had our meal quite quickly. It was filling and hot, with a fair selection of ales to choose from

Thought it would be a bit cheaper going in here but not that much, shouldn't have bothered. cliente rough and ready to say the least. Unsavoury people outside at night. No thanks, prefer to go somewhere a bit nicer and pay a bit extra. Ok for a cheap and cheerful meal in the day. Staff ok.

Visited for lunch today. A notice on the door said limited menu choices due to stock availability so we adjusted our option to what Rosie advise was available, tikka with Mexican rice was just right. Great prompt service, friendly staff and lovely food.

We went to celebrate a 60th birthday of which the birthday girl is vegan. We went on the app to order food but no vegan curry available, I went to bar and asked manager if he would get one from nearby Wetherspoons as it’s a special day. He said non in stock due to supply issue - he really went out of his way to find a curry that my friend could eat!. He served us throughout our meal and nothing was too much trouble!. Great asset to your company and he made our evening totally enjoyable. Thank you once again 👏🏻👏🏻

My first review was disallowed due to my choice of words. I had an awful evening at the White Hart as the staff were far more interested in imposing rules and being sanctimonious rather than providing decent customer service. Won't be back - ever.

Stopped at the white heart in Aylesbury for some food and drinks, food was ok and so was the beer to be fair. 1/4 of a pint left and the manager came and said very sorry but dogs are not allowed. After the cinema, took our 2 Grandsons for pizzas, ice cream and a drink, very good pizzas. The seats to the rear could do with a refurb, did notice some others have been done already. Great service.

Although the bar at this Wetherspoon always seems to be understaffed at lunchtimes, and gets very busy, the staff are polite and helpful. We ordered the 3 small plates as a starter, and this was excellent for only £10.25. Our main meals were pizzas and fish and chips, all were served hot and the pizzas were really tasty, certainly up to the standard of the established "italian" restaurants, they also come with a glass of wine/beer at superb prices. The pub itself is a little tired, as it is well used by both regulars and theatre goers, but the value outweighs this slight criticism.

I decided to come into the White Hart for my lunch break with my friend. We always order the same thing and never have a problem. My food came out quickly and was how I had ordered it. My friend however ordered at the bar as she had to order certain things to remove from the wrap. The lady then repeated back to my friend what she wanted removing from the wrap and my friend confirmed that was correct in how she wanted her wrap delivered to her table for her to enjoy. My friends chicken wrap came out shortly after mine, but what a disgusting experience. The lady, whom I believe to be the manager, came over and huffed ‘Right’ as if we were a hindrance to her job and day. She explained that the wrap had no salad or sauce in, although my friend asked for regular mayo with no salad. We then politely explained that the wrap should have had mayo and she abruptly and rudely said ‘well she didn’t put it on the ticket’ and ‘you can put it in yourself it’s up to you’ and forcefully placed the mayonnaise in front of my friend’s plate. My friend wanted to ask if she could take the plate back to the kitchen for them to insert the mayo into her wrap (which may I add had a single lump of chicken, no bigger than a golf ball), but felt intimidated to ask to do so. Next time you give someone their food, please remember basic customer service skills :) Please see the photo attached for the feeble wrap.

Worst pub in Aylesbury No matter if it's Xmas summer or a bloody rainy day they run out of all of there main largers and only have two on offer go to the bell a lot nicer

Weatherspoons always seemed to be somewhere to go for consistently ok chain pub food. Dont expect fine ining for the price. This is the second time here when the food has been dreadful. Turkey roll no flavour congealed gravy and leathery winter veg, lumpy mash, all slung on the plate we had to burrow to find the sparse veg.... sorry weatherspoons going downhill

I travel across the UK a lot, and as such I have visited a LOT of different Wetherspoon's! The food is always amazing, and the service is always good and fast, however I felt the staff at The White Hart deserve a shout out for how friendly and helpful they are - you really get the feeling that nothing is too much to ask!!

Iv been here so many times, one of few pubs serving magners on tap.staff allways helpful and most are cheerful and friendly. Food v cheap yet tasty and fills a gap. Had the 3 dishes today, and can honestly say, the only time iv been unhappy. Cheesy bacon chips with barely any topping, they were cold and bowl was only a 1/3 full, bread sticks disgusting and burnt, nachos soggy with a funny taste. I'll be back soon for drinks but unsure about food. Pub clean yet a little dated but v cozy.

One of the worst pubs in Buckingham. One of the woman on the bar was so rude to me. Kicked me out for no reason. I’m pretty sure you can’t kick someone out for no reason. You need a valid reason to be kicked out and they gave me none. I’ll be taking this to head office about the management of two of your staff.

As a regular visitor to the white hart I must say 99% of the time I am very happy with the service and food. For the price charged you cannot expect 5 star dining!!! . The staff are really friendly and helpful.

A pre show meal, the restaurant is looking very tired and grubby. Seats and tables need a deep clean, napkins, straws and food on floor and not cleared.

The restaurant is located directly across the main road from the Waterside Theatre, very convenient when there a performance. The restaurant was busy on the Sunday evening and we found a suitable table for four persons. On this occasion we used the Wetherspoon's smartphone app, which provides for ordering from the table without the need to queue at a pay point. The meals were prepared and served within a very reasonable time, which suggests that Wetherspoon's have organised their staffing arrangements very well. The menu was the familiar variety of dishes, including a good children's selection, which was much appreciated. The waitress for our table was pleasant and helpful, this was also much appreciated.

Came in for lunch today with my family including my 2 year old niece heather was absolutely lovely and fantastic with my niece we had a little mix up with food but she was so very professional and sorted it extremely quickly even though she was the only one running the food on the busy floor she is an complete asset to the business and should be praised for how well she did! Breakfast is always good here. Great value for money. Waitresses are always friendly and constantly busy. Refillable coffee for just £1.30 is an excellent idea, the coffee machines were constantly in use one Saturday morning I visited. Popped back in later on that day and enjoyed three starters/side orders for £10.25. Delicious spicy coated king prawns, tasty chicken bites with an amazing sticky soy sauce, and the now very trendy halloumi fries. :) One of my favourite pubs in Aylesbury.

Slinged some bananas over to table 201, 17 in fact, all the way from Lincoln via the app. Only for the rude bar staff to have a hissy fit and can the order and loose me a valuable £1.80 of my hard earned monies.

Ordered a chicken, bacon and avocado salad.Came without any bacon and only one small piece of tomato.On complaining found the staff not interested.This place has certainly gone downhill.Will not use again for food.

Have to queue for over half an hour for a drink. Even then they don’t care who has been waiting the longest. I waited over 30 mins for our second round and gave in in the end and left. Got served right away at next pub.

Went here for breakfast with my friend and the service was awful. The coffee was cold and tasted like pure sick, my breakfast of pancakes and bacon was cold and chewy. I said to a waitress “excuse me” and got ignored twice and when I said it louder she rolled her eyes and looked at me in a patronising way. It was the Lady with the pink hair and tattoos. I asked if it was possible to swap it for something else and she laughed at me and said it’s not my problem if you don’t like it and then she started having a go at me saying she didn’t care if I liked my breakfast or not. It’s really poor waitressing and it’s not the first time she’s been rude to me- she was rude to my family the last time she was in there. She should be fired because that’s no way to treat customers.

Love Spoonies for their prices, normally we're happy to eat, not at this one though. Still happy to enjoy the great drinkies prices & still good bar service
