The food and service was amazing I had the steak best i had had in a long time cooked to perfection. Sue made our experiance even better very helpful polite and nothing eas to much trouble a great asset to the pub

We held my father in laws wake here the staff were brilliant the food was excellent and there was so much thank you all for helping us give him the send off he deserved

Called in today for lunch with a friend and was warmly greeted by Sue behind the bar. She was friendly and attentive, even brought water for my dog. Menu choice was good and the food was lovely. Will definitely be visiting again 😊

Wonder staff as always, service so quick and great food at reasonable prices. Parking is always available and our favourite lady Sue is so friendly. And makes us feel welcome always . Also food is served up very quickly.

Arrived for an evening meal as we were staying at the premier inn next door. Starters were great - bbq chicken wings. But we ordered medium sirloin steaks and they came out very well done and as tough as old boots! Staff were pleasant enough but no mention of compensation for the poor steak. Won’t be going back.

Lovely old pub. Great food. Great service. Very low ceiling. I had the rump steak with peppercorn sauce. Really really good. This is a great pub. Can’t recommend it more. Top top pub restaurant.

The mushroom starters tasted as if they had been fried in stale oil. My friend's steak had to be sent back as blood was oozing out when she had asked for it to be well done and even then was inedible. My chips were so dry I couldn't eat them and there were probably a dozen peas on my plate. Someone who was probably the manager was sitting nearby eating and working on his laptop. A very bad night in the kitchen! A dreadful experience overall. Never again!

We went here for our tea while staying next door at the Premier inn. The Service was excellent, we booked a table for 7 pm as we were expecting to be busy in town most of the day, as it turned out we got everything done quickly and asked if we could move our booking forward to 6 pm, this wasn't a problem and we were welcomed in warmly. The food was excellent, Nachos were massive and Gammon steak was excellent, My wife had Hunters chicken which was cooked beautifully and my daughter had fish and chips which was pretty big aswell. It cost less than I was expecting so represented good value for money to me. I recommend this place.

Just ordered with Uber eats for delivery they sent a cold / frozen uncooked chicken burnt to the crisp steak burnt tomatoes and half a mushroom they sent chips in a bag with the peas the chick

If you go to the horse and jockey in Aylesbury for food after being taken to your table you would expect the person that took you to your table to inform you that you order at the bar. Rude personnel. Avoid. Thanks Miller and Butler you know how to run a pub. And PLEASE do not insult me with the fact that there is a board stating you have to order at the bar. When you start out at 6am in the morning and travel over 400 miles in the day. You don't expect rudeness when wanting to order food. Absolute disgrace.

Went in with my partner and boy for the rugby and Halloween whilst staying at the hotel next door. We were very quickly seen to after walking through the door and led to a great table setting and nice decoration. The menu had loads of options and all at affordable prices. Can't recommend the hunters chicken enough. The excitement and banter between the staff and guests were great about the south Africans and new Zealanders. It was a wonderful atmosphere and despite this the food arrived in good time. A quick comment on the Halloween costumes being fun with the bartender being a witch and my waiter having a toy knife through his head it was great. Solid pub with great staff and food.
