I was looking forward to a nice Sunday roast lunch out. If your looking for warm white wine, cold dinner, cremated roast potatoes and burn’t Yorkshire's than this is the place to go. When asked at the end of the lunch if everything was ok we complained about the food and we’re then presented with £100 bill with £3.60 discount. Insulted wasn’t the word. I’m not one to worry about what the bill is usually, but the way the manager/owner Mateo dealt with it was disgusting and I’m surprised he is in business at all. Pubs are going out of business everyday and we try to support our locals whenever we can. As a businessman myself customer service is key. I never give bad reviews usually and am not one to complain but this has really wound me up. It’s just unacceptable the way they dealt with our complaint. I won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend it to others.

We found this place by chance and was pleasantly surprise! Food is fresh and cooked perfectly. Generous portions and full of flavor. Really delicious! The service was outstanding. I don’t think they were quiet open to serve dinner but they went the second mile to accommodate us and serve us a class A meal. We’ve been traveling throughout England for 8 days already and this is by far the best meal! Recommend it!

Arriving without booking we were made to feel very welcome. After a glass of wine and chat by the fire we moved to the restaurant for our meal. We asked for a whitebait starter which was not on the menu. The chef kindly performed the miracle for us. We were served extremely well by the polite, cheerful and friendly Rhys. Overall, the food was really good and the relaxing atmosphere just what we needed. We'll be back!
