Been using this pub for 30 years ....Nice friendly staff and good beer

Lovely pub. One of my favourites. Always so laid back and friendly. Good beer too.

Really friendly pub, nice warming and welcoming atmosphere. The food was amazing, especially the pecan pie!

Visit this pub every Boxing Day after a walk. The pub is normally very busy (in a good way) really lovely atmosphere! Big place but always seems cosy. Lots of seating inside and out. Car park to the side but we’ve never parked in it so can’t comment. Staff are generally friendly. Never eaten so cannot rate. Lovely place to go after a walk in a beautiful location.

Went for a drive to the shore Inn very busy but still found five seats the bar was full but got our drinks in ten minutes . We will go again the domebar was the best.

We spent a week near this magnificent pub and couldn't keep away. A friendly management and staff, great food & drink and when it says "dog friendly" this has to be the pinnacle. Thank for a superb week and making us feel so welcome.

Recently had a break in Bracklesham for a week and visited a couple of the local pubs/restaurants. We popped in to The Shore Inn for a drink one day to greeted by lovely and friendly local people. The staff were friendly and polite also. We popped in a few times during our week and also had some food, which was great and reasonably priced. Very dog friendly too.

Didn't eat just had a drink, I'm affaid the place is looking a bit tired and run down.

Great fun, local, busy pub. Plenty of seating and super dog friendly. Didn't get to eat so can't comment but decent sized portions.

We were on holiday and used this friendly pub regularly the food is excellent.

Staying locally, we walked here for lunchtime Fish and Chips and a Pint! Nice pint of Doombar and Food was fine, nice touch was fresh water cress, which went well with the Fish! Maybe the Tartare sauce in a ( recyclable ) plastic pot was the only slight criticism . Would be happy to return.....

To be sure - We have been visiting the Wittering's for a few years now and always pay a visit to The Shore Inn, traditional pub serving food and drink as you would expect. Not forgetting the traditional wondering house dogs too, this is your typical English pub, which doesn't disappoint. This public house, to be fair, needs spruce up in places but what it lacks it adds to it's charm and appeal. Massive array of drinks to choose from, along with a reasonable menu of hot and cold food, seasonal, specials and desserts, all traditional home cooked as would expect including a hearty Roast available on Sundays, what's not to like? We choose the Roast Beef Sirloin before dashing back home. However we have tried various meals before and was happy with all our previous choices, along with our roasts too! Staff are plentiful, always happy and attentive, we will always come back and pay a visit, whether it's for a pint and a packet of crisps, or big meal, being dog friendly too, we can sit in a corner and relax. Restaurant seating inside is limited, so to avoid disappointment suggest booking first. That said there is covered outside sturdy seating area, should the temperature be suitable, there is also ample parking outside for all. Overall always enjoy visiting the The Shore Inn as it offers reasonable value and meals alike....4/5

I can’t comment on the food or service only the atmosphere. My Mum and I walked in with my 2 dogs, one who is very elderly. We walked in and sat down at a table, immediately a little black Pomeranian type dog who was very sweet greeting my two ON LEAD dogs. But then a large Staffie (X)wondered over with a stiff body posture, walked straight up to my old dog, sniffed her, curled his lips and growled. Immediately I moved my dog and said Mum we’re leaving, as we went out of the side door at speed this dog was trying to follow us until I closed the door on it! This dog is NOT trustworthy around dogs and apparently belongs to the owner!!! We met someone outside who said they would never take their dog in there!!!This dog should not be loose around the pub!

Always lots going on at the Shore ph. Very popular with locals and visitors alike.

Did not eat at the Inn, but had a Guinness, a walk along the sea front. Shore Inn busy, and very dog friendly, plus get free dog treats. Had a walk up round town, some interesting shops.

We visited one lunchtime & was greeted by 2 very pleasant, bubbly Barmaids. We sat outside in a Themed Beach Chalet. We had a selection of Crab & Prawn Cobs with Salad. Expensive but Moorish. The pub had a selection of 3 Real Ales.

Lovely pub. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We went in the evening for drinks. It was very busy but we still managed to get a seat. Family and dog friendly too.

Large pub near to the beach. Lots of outdoor seating and a large inside for those who want it. Didn't eat so can't comment on the food offering, but service at the bar was friendly and efficient. A good range of larger, ale and ciders at reasonable prices.

Busy pub but always got served quickly.

Fab experience. Food nice and hot and very tasty. Quick service lovely atmosphere and very reasonably priced. Thoroughly recommend. Perfect to have a drink before or after watching the sun set on the beach over Portsmouth.

I didn't actually eat here but had a couple of drinks in the sunshine with a friend. The location of this pub is next to East Wittering beach ⛱️. From certain parts of the pub you can see the sea 🌊. Loads of seating both inside and outside. Service is always friendly and warm. Great pub that still feels like a pub 👌

If there would be a competition for “Best pub in the world”, The Shore Inn is on the shortlist without a shadow of doubt. Great location and scenery, lovely staff, devoted landlord and most importantly they serve you the perfect pint of beer. The Guinness is out of this world and all drinks are served to aim for perfection. Worth making a detour if you are in the area

Came here for an after dinner drink before heading back to the little ones on a wet and windy evening. Very quiet and last orders was at 9.30pm...which surprised us!

A dog friendly pub that's got great customer service and good pub grub. I had the lamb gyros and found it to be delicious. Some limited on site parking (a real luxury considering the premium location) Would definitely revisit. Lovely outside seating area with wooden benches. A real little suntrap so what greater way to spend the afternoon!

All good but the food was a bit sub par.

Had a drink and fish and chips. Meal was not good. Chips were thin, more like bits of French fries not proper chips. We also found hairs on the bottom of the plate under the fish. Dogs wondering round which where food is being eaten is not good. Another party at the next table left a lot of their meal. On the whole not a place to recommend for food, drinks where ok.

Very impressed with todays visit 10.06.23 Service was excellent especially as it was busy. Food arrived within 10mins and was delicious. Plates cleared away quickly and cold water available, self service. Lovely atmosphere, look forward to my next visit!

Good beer but food is over priced crab sandwich is great but bit tight on sauce tbh

Quick and friendly service. Nice food, Clean toilets. It was heaving outside on a sunny bank holiday weekend, but there was space inside in the light and airy conservatory section. Despite the high customer numbers, our food arrived quickly. We all had crab rolls which came with a little bit of salad. We chose the 'corn' option for the roll and it was very tasty - I hadn't had that before. There wasn't much that crab in the roll (as a previous review points out), but what there was was flavoursome. We shared a portion of chips and they were nicely crisp. Someone at the next table ordered scampi and that looked an enormous plateful compared to a crab roll, so that's probably better value if you're really hungry.

Visited the Shore Inn on a weekend away. A lively pub with a friendly set of locals who are happy to have a chat. A great atmosphere on the two nights we popped in, a couple of good real ales on and a great time had. This is a proper drinking pub which caters for adults rather than families, hope it stays that way!

Had a Sunday roast with my wife , food was average . Let’s just say Croydon has found Wittering , probably from the camp site up the road Scott’s Farm ‘ , very apt for the animals that were in there . Pub looks tired and grubby !

Had a very disappointing pub lunch. Husband had the BLT which to be fair was tasty but very small. I had a selsey crab roll which was £12.50. For that price I expected a reasonable sized roll but again it was really small with barely any crab in it and what there was, was pretty tasteless. Very disappointed and won’t return.

Friendly staff. Great food and service. Always a great atmosphere and a place to meet new friends as everyone is very chatty. We love it. It is definitely one of our favourites pubs in the area.

Usually really good food & service, unfortunately on this occasion only 1 person behind bar & we ordered 2 bacon cheese burgers which were both undercooked & quite red in the middle & wet due to being undercooked & very little cheese if any in either of them.

Popped in here on three successive days whilst camping nearby (for a swift pint only). Despite being a bank holiday weekend and busy we were always able to find seats and get served quickly. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pub had a nice mix from families, older patrons and a younger crowd. There was a nice choice of beer with a Langham's Brewery beer and Summer Lightning on tap when we visited - both kept well. Whilst there's not too much competition for pubs in the area there doesn't need to be - this place is spot on.

Great food, good atmosphere, nice staff, reasonably priced. What more could you want from a pub? Lovely vegetables on the Sunday roast. Very welcoming to dogs.

Amazing staff, delicious food, great choice of drinks and lots of seating. Two minutes to the beach too, perfect setting. Thank you for helping us celebrate a life well lived. Great pub and staff.

If I tell you we are a chatty family but we’re silent during the meal it means it was sooo gooood! We had 7 roasts (2 strict gluten free people, actual allergy as opposed to a dietary choice) and puddings. Oh my god i couldn’t stop eating. Exceptional staff. Incredible food . Must visit - and return (incredible countryside included)

Sunday roast are really good. Meat delicious and excellent vegetable selection. Dessert not as good as they were. Loved traditional things like crumbles and treacle tart. Good atmosphere and reasonable price.

Very good menu & Special boards. I had Rump of Lamb with Salsa Verde and it was delicious…. Proper old school inside but don’t be put off. Will be going regular now!

Based purely on the drinks. Great pint of Guinness, which says alot as I'm from an Irish family ;)

Great friendly community pub welcoming to all

Our cycling group of five arrived here on a chilly January lunchtime. We have used this venue on a regular basis. A nice warm pub was just what was required. The menu is a varied & hearty collection of quality dishes. We will definitely continue to use this excellent pub.

Nice atmosphere friendly staff great pint

This was the first place we ate at after moving to a new area. They are dog friendly and although we could have gone inside, we chose to stay outside with our girl who is a little nervous. Service was good, the food was tasty and we'll definitely be back.

Staff are just the best, never have to wait to be served and so friendly. thankfully no bloody TV sets hanging on every wall discouraging talk which is why I visit pubs

Shouldn't even be a one star rating.. This place is hurrendous terrible service, the staff are very rude and under trained , I also got stuck in the mens toilet and got stuck for 15 mins. after breaking the lock I mention to the staff and was just ignored. The fruit machine stole my money witch I was not very pleased with, it was delta with but took alot of time to do so... I would not recommend using the Restaurant/Bar

Rude staff and terrible meal requested pie and mash no veg got a pie with veg inside and when staff were questioned they were not interested in the exchange of the meal and were rude

Would not recommend this place to man or beast! staff are extreamly rude, tables are dirty and after eating I am now stuck in the gents which are also dirty!!!!! Disgusting

Discovered this place after a walk along the beach with our dog. Very welcoming on arrival. Great place to take dog, bar staff gave us doggie treats. Food great, tasty and at a reasonable price, all eleven of us cleared our plates. Definitely give it a try especially if you have a dog. MC Southampton

We were staying locally so wanted to go somewhere that was within walking distance. It was a Sunday so a couple of us had roast dinner others had scampi, fish n chips. The food was delicious. We booked our table in advance and would recommend it as they only serve food between 12 & 3 and its popular. The owners have dogs & you're welcome to bring yours.

Stopped for lunch having already been at West Wittering and had a great meal. Staff were friendly and efficient given how busy it was and had a great lunch. The beer battered haddock and the crab Mac & cheese were superb. Given the previous one star review about kids they seemed to have plenty of high chairs for our daughter and the staff loved engaging with her being cheeky! Maybe the local didn’t like the look of him! Really recommended and will visit again with friends next time as happy to recommend. Proper pub as well, none of the plastic gastro rubbish! Thanks for completing our lovely day out!

Rude and miserable staff. I would give this place a miss. Plenty of other places in the area .One male staff member at the bar was so extremely rude and made my family and I feel uncomfortable and unwanted, will not be back again also lots dog poo all over the garden

Just been to the Shore Inn for Sunday lunch. Food was excellent. Welcoming atmosphere.

Wow, what can you say about this charming pub a stones throw form the beach. Great pub and location sadly that’s where it ends. On arrival the bar staff just looked at us. I said hello got a reluctant hello in return. Got drinks went outside a bit cold so decided to go back in. Took our seats to be met with “don’t get comfortable “ from obviously an elderly regular. With that a barman appeared and barked no kids in this area you have to sit up there… I joked back they are 18 but small for their age… To be met with a complete dirty unimpressed look.. we went up to this area, finished our drinks and left without ordering food. The whole time being looked at like we were aliens. It was two in the afternoon and not that busy so I don’t see the problem. The only thing the staff here know about hospitality is how to spell it.(or maybe not)

We stopped off here for some lunch. Beer was well kept and the food seemed good. Unfortunately the attitude of the landlord left much to be desired. He simply couldn’t be bothered with thank yous or any pleasantaries and was instead condisending and downright rude....
