Very friendly and welcoming staff. Prices good. All one room space and must be a great local with many congregating around the bar for a chat. A little noisy if you are sitting on your own having a conversation.

We stopped here at the wickham on our way back to Portsmouth from a family day out, we were welcomed by a lovely open fire that instantly gave a warm feeling, very jolly bar staff we ordered some drinks and were offered a menu as we had mentioned the kids were starving we ordered them pizzas and halloumi fries which was very reasonable and very tasty. We would most definitely visit again for a Sunday roast and to see the lovely well kept fire!!

I attend this pub for a business lunch and had ordered a meal of three courses, starter was prawn cocktail. This came and although there were a reasonable amount of prawns, these were laid on a shredded leaf of lettuce with a small dot of what was supposed to be the sauce, but not enough to taste. The main was roast sirloin of beef. This arrived and the beef was in a thickish gravy already on the meal and a small puddle of it in the yorkshire pudding, didn't matter if one didn't like gravy there was no choice as the beef was obviously warmed over in the gravy and within the beef was quite a soft gravy covered carrot. when the main course came we were given a slim dish of vegetables between us, I sliced into my beef and found it tough, so I left it, in fact the only thing that was edible was the yorkshire pudding. Desert was a melt in the middle chocolate pudding. There were others near me who had ordered the same, when I broke into the sponge which was quite warm, the runny bit inside wasn't runny, in fact the sauce inside was quite cool. Water jugs were brought to the table and I took the one nearest to me back to the barman and told him we didn't want meat in our water, there was a fly on the top . he was apologetic and changed it. Over all I was very disappointed, especially as the only scotch they had behind the bar was a bottle of Jameson.

Last time I reviewed was a year ago; but last Monday (sadly the Queen’s funeral) it has new Management. When I visited I was quite happy with the Staff and customers. It’s more friendly and the proprietor is really making a go of it. It’s early days and need more customers coming through the door- but it’s early days and I want to wish this license premises the best despite the hard times. Better days will come, so please visit and give these ladies a chance. Hope to see you soon.

A very friendly, sociable pub where you are made to feel welcome. Refurbished throughout and I do like the wallpaper in the ladies, very pretty. The landlady and her team are good communicators so feel comfortable to go in on your own. A Quiz Night is on Wednesday so I think we shall be giving that a go.

The drinks are priced very well considering its in Chichester. The pub is clean and functioning with a lovely back garden space. However the owner is rather unhappy and very volatile with his staff and customers, it did make the whole experience rather uncomfortable. Its great if you stick to the back garden, just don't make eye contact with the owner.

Staff were very friendly and chatty, and they're very on the ball with the table service and cleaning. The decor is lovely, very light and I particularly liked the wallpaper in the ladies toilet. Outside front and back was clean and clear. Drinks were great. Will definitely be back soon. Thank you for a nice evening.

Nice little local cafe. Can't really comment on food as we only had 2 flat white coffees - what can I say? Coffee was nice & hot, lovely service but coffee taste? ....cannot recommend...a 'nothing' taste - definitely needs a re-think. Loved looking around the shop, lots of interesting things to tempt if you're looking for unusual Xmas gifts, & plenty of soft fluffy sheepskins & lovely sheepskin slippers, gloves etc Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

This place has great beer and should be a winner but the bar staff: OMG. You wait ages to be served, only to soak up a bunch of attitude and then they call last orders at 10 pm. Every Thursday when the pub is still half full. Really? At these prices? I don't know who is managing this bunch of jokers but if the Big Smoke Brewing Company still own it, they need to come down and sort this. So sad: great pub ruined by crappy staff.

Wr went to the Deck for Sunday lunch with high expectations. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. Everything was tough and leathery - and some vegetables were black and burnt. Both meals looked and tasted as if they had been ready to serve a few hours previously and had been put aside to keep warm since then. Neither was it cheap at £50+ for two main courses and one glass of wine. The staff were lovely and the venue is attractive, but overall a big disappointment and we won't go there again.
