First visit here for lunch and upon entering we were greeted warmly by a very cheery member of staff by the name of Matt and selected a table out of the way to have a quiet conversation, he then quickly arrived to take our drinks order. We took a while deciding over the menu but due to the previous postive reviews about the fish and chips we all ordered fish and chips and have to say they were every bit as good as the reviews stated and most pleased with our choice. The service from Matt was excellent and very attentive throughout our meal and no complaints there either, I would be very happy to go back again for another visit.

My first time visit to The Queens College Arms and I was not disappointed. The team were super friendly and welcomed me and Mitzi like long lost friends and prepared us for a lovely lunch. We sat out in the garden and the staff made sure we were comfortable and that Mitzi had a water bowl. Unfortunately they don’t, as yet, have a dog menu, but I am sure that will come in time. I had pigs in blankets to go with some of my vegetables and Yorkshire pudding with pork crackling for Mitzi along with the roast beef for me. It was delicious and Mitzi thoroughly enjoyed her lunch with ice cream for dessert, whilst I had the Eton Mess Panna Cotta. Nothing was too much trouble for all of the guests during this afternoon and thoroughly recommend a visit.

First we have eaten here in a longtime. They went out of their way to support our daughter to find something she would eat. We will be going back again

What is surprising is the very poor quality of the English in many of the reviews. This is truly awful, particularly given corrective and predictive text is a standard on most devices.

We came here after having an unsuccessful visit at another pub and this one blew us away. Amazing food, incredible waitress and just an overall a outstanding visit.

This used to be a great place to visit, went today with my wife and grandchildren. As soon as I git there the girl behind the bar was more interested in talking to her friend not customers, They were not busy but still waited over one and half hours for food, no apology, I took my family out and went for fish and chips at olivers old basing it was delicious and a fraction of the price, hall and Woodhouse please put staff In that care for service and customers

The fish and chips and mushy peas never fail us whenever we ate this at the QCA. Would never order anything else. Always had a pudding which we shared. Glad we have somewhere local that we can trust to deliver great fish and chips on a Friday. Please can we have more offers as we missed out on the last one. Staff professional and friendly. Needs to be a bit more cosy in the restaurant as always feels a bit chilly in there.

One of the best dining experiences we have had for a very long time. This is our second visit to The QCA and it just gets better. Such a warm welcome on arrival, whisked to our table straight away and drinks delivered in no time courtesy of the manager as the waiting staff were really busy. At every opportunity we were told who our waiting staff would be and a heads-up before each course arrived.The food was amazing. The presentation was of a high standard and the general ambience, style and layout of the dining area made for a really lovely evening out. Our waitress was Sam and she could not have been any more attentive and she had a great sense of humour. We are definitely coming back and my Husband would like his 60th birthday to take place there. The staff are delightful and professional. The food was unusual, some very good, some just didn't work. Korean tofu looked lovely, but had little taste. Bhaji burger was a carb fest, not v tasty. The mushroom taco starter was really imaginative. Dessert delicious and really fresh.We think when staff offer a choice of chips, the added cost of triple cooked should be highlighted, it is easily missed on the menu. £2.75 is a ridiculous price for a small bottle of water. Must point out, we are vegetarian and there were few options for us, maybe the meaty stuff is better.Lovely pub

Having been to this lovely little pub several times previously (the last time probably about a year ago) I thought I knew what to expect - that is to say, a pleasant atmosphere, good food & decent service. Well, I got all that and more. From start to finish, the service was wonderful, and the staff were so attentive, particularly the gentleman who I assume was in charge. When I arrived he saw that I had my 6 month old baby in a pushchair and first of all suggested my friend and I move to a bigger table so we would be away from the walkway (better for ourselves and others). He also showed a genuine interest in my son, trying to get him to smile and chatting to us on a personal level which was lovely. Our waiter was very friendly too and overheard us discussing menu options, quickly recommending his personal favourites. A third member of staff saw that I was breastfeeding and suggested some water for the table. I went away so impressed! Having just been to another restaurant where the bill was 4x as much but the service shocking, I felt I had to leave a review and say well done & thank you, you really got it right and we will be back!

We live nearby and have been here 4-5 times and each time has been lovely. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The food has always been great. The garden is nice and there is a little park for children. We really like it here , so much so we are having a meal here after we get married with our closest family! :)

We had lunch today at The Queen's College Arms and everything about it was fantastic. The food was delicious, the covid measures were easy to understand but the biggest thing for us was that ALL the staff were simply fantastic. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, utterly helpful and attentive. We would like to thank them all for providing us with a lovely afternoon.

Went in for a drink and food we were given a table and it wasn’t very busy waited 20 minutes and nobody came to take an order so we walked out Very poor service we won’t be going back

5 for Sunday lunch really fast friendly service from Sam who was very knowledgeable and really upbeat, finding servers like that is rare. The food was lovely and arrived quickly, Sunday lunch was really great, they catered for gluten and dairy allergies and also have great vegan options, we had a vegan chocolate torte for pudding which was delicious.

Samantha provided great service and we all enjoyed Fathers Day Sunday lunch. Reasonable choice on menu despite COVID restrictions. Clean plates all round.

Sunday lunch with the family. Fairly standard pub menu (one menu per table because of Covid!), taking social distancing etc. seriously and trying hard to make it work well. Excellent server, roasts were nice and tender. Full marks!

First time Sunday Lunch. Elected to sit out side as it was a lovely day. All rules were observed and Jonny our server was excellent. The food, My roast Pork and all the trimmings was very good and my wife's roast Beef + trimmings great. Well cooked and nicely presented. See photos. The table was at a bit of a slope and very slippy had to keep nudging my plate back. Only note, the Building and garden are on a busy road and the traffic noise is a little intrusive. A noise barrier between the car park and the garden would help. Price wise a little on the high side £43.95 for two roasts and two drinks. Mind you we did have a couple of side dishes.

We decided to visit a pub after such a long wait due to covid. We stopped off here as the food used to be great. We ordered some drinks and they delivered the wrong wine, we ordered food, it was so bad and disappointing, it seemed like everything had just been microwaved. The guy on the entrance was rude and not particularly accommodating. Really disappointed with this pub. Not how it used to be.

Me and my wife moved down here in 2018 and we have never had a bad experience at this wonderful place. I’m shocked to see such bad reviews let me assure you the pub is warm and welcoming. The staff are tentative. The food is amazing!!!! Even during COVID they are on the ball. We are set to move from the area and one thing we will miss is the queens college arms!!!!

Served by a lovely lady called Samantha. She was very friendly and helpful. The food was really nice. The tabels were organised really nicely. The over all exspeince was really very nice.and relaxing. I drive passed this pub everyday on way to work, so was nice to stop for lunch with my partner. Really was a wonderful experience. Happy to recommend this venue everytime. I wish I had visited earlier.

We had to ring around a few places before we got a table here.Covid-19 precautions were spot on. We settled for the roast beef the gravy boat has to be the smallest I've ever seen! The beef was quite grisly, and we weren't the only people to complain about it according to our server !The kale was rather chewy too and gave you a little workout .The rest of the meal was ok , so overall we were a little disappointed with or meals and it was only an average visit.

Amazing evening meal at the queens college arms! Brilliant service from all service! All very professional and the cleaning was fantastic, a table opposite us left before and we got to see the waiter’s clean it and it was done very thoroughly! So super impressed! Definitely going back soon

We often come here and absolutely love it. The staff are so friendly and there is such a nice atmosphere, the food is really good too! Nico and his team are great and always make us feel really welcome regardless of how busy it is. We would recommend this pub to anyone :)

Everything about the evening was unacceptable. From standing around by the front door waiting for someone to at least acknowledge we were there. An disagreement with the staff over who should take us to our table. Incredibly slow service, nearly half an hour from arriving to getting a drink. Steak was too tough even for a steak knife, and the burger wasn't as was ordered. After much discussion we were told that that both could be changed but it would be at least 20 minutes. Can't remember a worst bub experience.

2 separate families, travelling separately, 2 separate bubbles, booked 2 tables of 4 a week ago only to receive a phone call at 0830 on the morning of the booking at 1pm, to say they could not accept my booking as the maximum party size was 6, like I didn’t know that. When i challenged his reasons for cancelling he hung up, however just prior to this he was willing to accept a booking of 6! Ridiculous! Won’t be rebooking and have successfully booked 2 tables in another pub!

This is one place that you just want to keep coming back to. Nico and his ten provide a great customer focused service and are friendly even in the COVID setting. Food is always fresh and tasty and great value. One of the best pubs in the area.

Popped in on the off chance for Sunday lunch and were so pleased that we did. This pub has the best Covid precautions that I have seen so far - staff wearing masks, properly spaced tables, Covid questions before entering, lots of hand sanitiser, ordering and paying from your app at your table and staff constantly cleaning. This was impressive. The food was great - so lovely to find a pub that actually offers a proper vegetarian roast instead of pasta or goats cheese! And it was excellent. Friendly staff, visible management and a lovely atmosphere. Spot on - will absolutely be returning and recommending.

Had lunch with friends. Nice to see they were being very efficient ref. Covid precautions. Food was very nice. Good service. Staff member called Sam was excellent and she really made our visit that much better. She was friendly, helpful, smiley (under her mask), professional and all round lovely. Nice afternoon and would go back.

This is our favourite local pub in the area. They have created a safe, relaxed and well organised experience post lockdown and more specifically during August with the governments incentive in place. Food, Service, Ambient environment all super good. The team are confident with the new practice and the experience was an evolved normal. We have always found times spent here to be great and we will no doubt continue to do so. Go on, get yourselves down to the QCA you won't be disappointed.

We had a lovely meal here since it reopened and the new process made it very easy to distance. I had a delicious fish main course and rest of the family had roast beef and said it was one of the best they’ve had! Staff are excellent so a lovely atmosphere too.

This is a pub local to us and we go when we can so I’m used to the layout etc. I was worried about visiting a pub as lockdown eased, not least because I’m in the shielding group. I haven’t been out in public since February so visiting my first pub in August was a bit step and I was anxious. The QCA has put in some excellent steps to keep people safe. The tables are more spread out and whilst I didn’t feel ready to sit indoors, there were lots of options outside. The staff were all masked and we saw tables being thoroughly cleaned with spray after every sitting. They’re working really hard to make this work and I really appreciate that. There’s a contactless ordering and payment system in place and the food comes quickly. I would feel very confident visiting here again. The only advice I would give is please tell your staff it’s ok to ask customers to step back. The staff were all being super sensible and I only observed one customer step too close to chat to a waitress. She was young and perhaps didn’t want to say ‘please keep 1m away’ and I totally under that. But if we give our hospitality workers to confidence to address that behaviour when people forget then it keeps us all safe. All the other customers were keeping their distance from everyone and nobody swapped tables. I was so reassured and I’m happy to support our local business. If you’re worried about safety, give this place a try. They’re doing an excellent job.

Very badly organised most of the menu wasn’t available disappointed with service won’t be rushing back.

It’s reasonably good, however very expensive for what you get. I’ll give an example that 1 x 330ml can of Rio, is £3.20. A bottle of coke is similarly over priced. Hall and Woodhouse need to seriously look at their pricing strategy, these examples of overpricing is scandalous. Wholesale these drinks can’t be more than 60p each? Over 5 times the price at the bar. Most main meals are over £4 more than they used to be a couple of years ago. Pie was 9.95 now 14. Burger was also 9.95 now 13.50. That’s it

We went on my 60th birthday for our first post-lockdown meal out and we were very disappointed. The food wasn’t anything special, we could have done better ourselves at home. We won’t be going back.

First family meal after lockdown restrictions eased and The Queens College Arms has excelled in its preparations to make its visitors feel safe as well as finding a balance of normality and relaxation. The staff have obviously been trained in every aspect of safety procedures without taking their eye off the ball of first class service. I'd urge anyone who may be apprehensive of venturing out of lockdown to make a booking...Trust me, it will do you the world of good.

We came here for Sunday roast on 1 March but were told there was no lamb, no pork, no chicken and no nut roast. Only choice was the beef which I had and was very nice but my veggie friend had to have a selection of side dishes. They need to better assess the likely demand.

The meal was a very nice meal lovely table plaques to make you fell welcome 🙏 The lady waitresses was very very welcoming. I felt that nothing was to much of a problem

The food was very good but table service was incredibly slow. 30 minute wait for drinks, 30 minute wait for 2 deserts. We went for Sunday lunch, 2 courses and 2 drinks each.. took almost 3 hours.

Visited with friends on Wednesday evening, was busy so would definitely recommend you book in advance. This is a typically Old English pub serving excellent food. The service is very friendly and attentive, our server knew the menu and made recommendations . Food was delicious with a good selection, there is something for everyone, with a specials menu that changes regularly Definitely would recommend and look forward to returning, especially in the summer as a nice outside section

Came here for lunch with my partner and some friends from a club he belongs to. I tried the aubergine curry which was very nice. Partner had the Tanglefoot pie as usual. Altogether a very pleasant lunch.

The food is really good, as the team really care about quality and your satisfaction. They are really friendly so the atmosphere is relaxing. Usually 4 real ales from Hall & Woodhouse brewery, 3 staples and a rolling one.

Had a really good meal ! Sunday roast , one of the best I’ve had .... only the table we were seated at is falling apart and food has fallen in the cracks .... I’m hoping they’ll see this review and throw the table out ! All the other tables look fine ... just our bad luck .... my son felt his burger wasn’t big enough for the money , a few onion rings and a spoon of coleslaw would have made it maybe worth the £14 ....

7 adults (5 vegetarians) in on the Sunday just before Christmas for lunch. It was extremely busy but the service was very friendly, efficient and attentive. All 7 meals were good (Parsnip & Nut Roast, Malaysian Aubergine Curry,Falafel Burger, Steak & Tangle Foot Pie, H&W Burger). We've all agreed to meet up there again in the spring.

Visited The Queens College Arms last weekend for a large family gathering, the Christmas decorations and the fires were such a lovely touch. Edele, our waitress for the afternoon was amazing. My nephew loved the outdoor play area. We had to pre order in advance for such a big group but this wasn't an issue. This was my third time there and I will be back!

We were down visiting friends and went to have an evening meal. As I have dietary requirements we let them know in advance. The management were really helpful. We got a warm welcome when arriving. The staff were great and friendly without imposing. The food was well cooked. They accommodated my requirements. I asked for plain pan fried Salmon and Sweet Potato Fries as I am GF which were done to perfection. My husband had the Chicken Kiev with all the accompaniments. Everything was beautiful. Dessert for me was a White Chocolate Pannacotta, which I wasn’t keen on, there was nothing wrong with it , it just wasn’t to my taste. My husband was delighted with his sticky Toffee pudding, it’s his favourite. The atmosphere was nice and the place was warm and cosy, all in all it was good value for money and everyone went the extra mile to accommodate us. So thank you.

We discovered the Queens College Arms about 6 months ago as it is quite close to where we live. We have since visited several times for dinner or drinks in both the Summer months and more recently. This pub has a great feel to it whatever the weather, the beer garden is lovely and then as it has got colder has a more cosy feel in the bar and restaurant with candles lit on the tables and nice thick curtains at the windows it makes a great ambience. Each time we have visited we have had a warm welcome at the bar by either the General manager or the Bar Staff who are always chatty. The Waiting staff have always been friendly and attentive and even when phoning to book a table at short notice they have always been so accommodating. Food is just delicious and there is always a good choice of specials and the pie is our particular choice at this time of year. Thank you for such excellent service and finding room for us and our daughters pushchair whenever we have dined with you (even straight from the airport on one occasion!). Looking forward to booking a big family get together here for Christmas, see you soon!

Our usual trip here for a monthly pub lunch with my partner’s club. I had steak frites. Steak was SUPERB - melt in the mouth and no fat. Chips were lovely skinny chips. I just wish they would use a bit of imagination and instead of rocket, which we had up until now with this dish, and I now had pea shoots - but I would have welcomed a tomato and mushrooms. I like vegetables and a couple of pea shoots does not constitute part of the 5 a day vegetable routine. Dessert was also good. Partner had ham egg and chips and it was real gammon and not cardboard ham as we call it. This place has improved but with a few more imaginative tweaks could go from pleasant to fantastic.

We live local to the Queens College Arms and it has had its up and downs over the years. I think it is now on the up. Service is always excellent and a couple of really friendly waitresses. Yesterday we have a Sharing platter from the new menu and it was absolutely lovely. Well presented, fresh and tasty. Can’t wait to have it again! Thank you.

Had a lovely late lunch with family. The H&W; burgers were huge but delicious as were the treble cooked chips.. Extremely friendly staff and great service. The fish and chips were a work of art ;-)

After not visiting for approx a year, i was looking forward to an evening meal with the family. Table booked for just after 5.30 of which as we were seated to be told there was only pork roast dinners left. This was not a great start, followed by the kids chicken goujons and chicken burger had run out. After finally placing an order, we waited 45 mins until started turned up. And a further hour until mains. Two staff visible running around were good but you could tell were struggling and who knows what was going on in the kitchen. The food was okay, the kids sausage and mash was caped in oil. Overall not great, 2 and a half hours with kids on a sunday night, we will not be coming back in a hurry.

Hadn’t been here for a long while and we were pleasantly surprised by the choice and quality of the food - way better than it used to be and we’ll definitely be eating here again soon. Very good service too!

There was always a good choice on their menu but not any more no sussex smokey or I think it was called garlic chicken just run of the mill food.

Booked very user friendly online site this am for 1'clock lunch , even though short notice I mentioned it was my husbands 77th birthday and if they could provide a balloon at the table that would be great but if not no worry ! When we arrived no balloon but a stone tablet with Happy 77th Birthday Roy . Great welcome by Samantha , drinks brought quickly and left to choose from a huge selection for lunch ! We both had the flat iron steak served with skin on chips and rocket , garlic butter on one and chilli butter on the other . Beautifully cooked, good portions and fresh . Dessert came next , hedge row crumble (I'm told tip top )for birthday boy with a candle and a gentle rendition of happy birthday by Samantha , ice cream for me ! It was a lovely lunch in comfortable surrounding with a nice atmosphere . We will definitely be going again .

Booked a table for Saturday evening (was advised by the gentleman on the phone to book for 5:45 so that we could receive the best possible service due to other bookings that evening at 6). Waiting staff seemed lovely, however service was so slow we waited well over an hour for our food before deciding to go somewhere else. We had 2 young children with us who were very hungry for their dinner! It was made clear to us there was an issue or mistake made due to the constant whispering and stares from the waiting staff - however we were not notified of anything; even when we asked. Simply told our food would be “another 15 minutes”, and were offered free coffee for after our meal. Needless to say our food was not another 15 minutes, and after a further 30 mins of waiting, we cancelled our order. Despite all of this, we were still charged almost £40 for our drinks. The only genuinely apologetic member of staff was the poor woman behind the bar who had nothing to do with our service that evening.

We stopped here by chance, having passed it a few times before and decided to give it a go. It was a sunny September Sunday, late lunchtime-ish and most people were outside in the large garden.

When possible we always come here for Sunday lunch and unlimited Yorkshire puddings and gravy. Well worth it. This place had vastly improved recently. The staff are really friendly and attentive. It also has a lovely atmosphere which used to seem pretty absent in the past.

Had lunch here today with our son and his family and couldn’t fault it. Friendly and efficient service from our waitress after a very warm welcome for us all, including the dog Monty, who had been staying with us for a couple of weeks. Delicious meals, best latte ever tasted, according to our son, and Monty returned to his lovely family once more. Well done all,

Despite the weather taking a turn for the worse, staff rallied round to put up patio brollies and make sure the shower didn't stop things. 2 great bands and a great solo artist. All topped off with The Greatest Showman everyone singing along with our popcorn. Kids all sat together at the front sharing their sweets and having a lovely time. Was a great day. Food was excellent and despite how busy it was didn't wait to long for it to arrive.

Friendly greetings when we walked in, a pleasant interior with a nice atmosphere. The food was excellent as was the service and we will be visiting again.

Really nice place to eat with a lovely garden plenty of space, tables and climbing frames for the children in a designated corner so not imposing on others space. Always been ver happy with my food here, nice size protions and flavoured well. Home cooked desent food, seated in lovely interior with log fires to warm up in winter. Does get quite busy weekends so maybe book in advance. Menus for smaller lunches too and for children, nice bar if just fancy afternoon drinks. Friendly atmosphere and nice welcoming.

The last few times we've been here it just wasnt very good but thought we'd try again & we're so pleased we did. The food was lovely & hot & tasted wonderful (especially the pie). My dessert wasnt great so I left most of it but the wonderful Rebecca took the price of it straight off of the bill. We had lots of laughs with her throughout the evening & & she didn't even mind us teasing her about the spellings on the dessert menu. All round good night & we will definitely be going again soon.

We have visited here on many occasions and although moons ago had a bad expience had always had good service food and staff wise always were welcomed until tonight we normally have bar service ( always good might I add ) but unfortunately due to a private function had to use the restaurant it was shocking they had mixed up our starter which we didn’t receive then when bought the main meal and when were told they would be kept warm until we had our starter they made us feel the ehole mistake was our fault the manager I assume came out and apologised for the mi. Up our main came out although the Salmon was hot the rest was cold after a long wait we were ready to leave yes the manager cleared the main meal from the bill but that is not what what we wanted we wanted a relaxed meal with no issues sorry you didn’t hit the spot tonight so disappointed as my other half wanted time go elsewhere and I chose u as thought it would be relaxed perfect and hassle free

A group of 4 adults and 2 children. We met for lunch, drinks and a catch up. Sat out in the garden, waitress said we could move tables and umbrellas as we pleased. Staff were very accommodating. Ordering food and drinks was easy and staff were efficient. The sandwiches we had were flavoursome and fresh, the most tasty that we have had there. Great play area for children. Relaxed afternoon with family. Great experience.

We went for a family dinner with my parents visiting from Spain. The starters were ok but the mains were very disappointing. We had a kiddy sausage and mash meal and asked for gravy. When this arrived it was the red wine gravy that came with the adult meals. When questioned the waitress was very apologetic and went to try and get normal gravy only to tell me that this was the only gravy they have in the week. Not great for kiddy meals!! My lamb off the specials menu was very dry, the pies my parents had were very hard and a bit dry and my son’s ham and chips was tasty but the ham was very thin. We persevered as the kids wanted chocolate brownie for dessert. Neither were cooked in the middle, it was like cake batter. The waitress took these off the bill but then came back and said that the ‘chef’ thought these were how they were supposed to be and would talk to the supplier (no home cooking then!!) We have been coming here for over 10 years and although the meals have been hit and miss over the years, this is the most disappointing and very over priced. A not very pleasant meal for over £100. Not good.

Thoroughly enjoyable lunch. Everyone praised their individual meals, .... good selection of vegetables, the beef and pork both first class. Unfortunately it was a late lunch on the Bank Holiday Sunday and some of the meal options were not available, but, the service was excellent and we all left satisfied.

Lunch in restaurant with colleagues and several mothers arrived with several children. Took over a whole area of the pub. The noise was deafening. Children climbing over chairs etc and running around, staff said nothing, didn’t even apologise for the unacceptable noise level as we were having a business lunch, despite sign outside clearly stating well behaved children only welcome.

This was our first visit for a quite a while, we have always found it to be pretty average but we were very pleasantly surprised this time. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and efficient.

What a difference! The food in this pub used to be average at best so we haven’t visited for some time. Last night we returned and tried it again and the food was excellent. We both had the flat iron steak and it was extremely tender and cooked perfectly with very nice chips and salad accompaniments. There was also live music from a very good singer and pianist. We had a very enjoyable night out and will be coming back soon.

We received a friendly welcome from the staff on arrival. We were seated at a table for 14 plus 1 high chair. The drinks came quickly after the order was placed. We pre-ordered our starters and main courses. I must say the food was excellent, no complaints from any of the party.

Had a lovely roast last Sunday. All 3 of us were happy with our food. Despite the restaurant being very busy, we had good service. There is plenty parking, the venue is clean and comfortable.

Dinner on 8th April 2019. All 4 items on the menu that we ordered (Falafel Burger, Fish & Chips, 2 Chicken Caesar Burgers) were nice. To make it better, a Gluten free option of exchanging the bread burger roll for side salad would have been nice as requested. Good portions and friendly service.

Lovely lunch at The Queen College arms, with a group of 9 of us (including 3 toddlers). Food was really tasty, and given the large group we were able to order in advance and the service was quick, but we did not feel rushed by the staff.

First time we have visited this inn .very polite staff and willing to accommodate even at busy times.quite a varied menu.and well presented .not too pricey either .clean premises..also a pleasant garden area with seating for over a hundred people.will add to our list of places to visit on a regular basis.

We took my elderly mother here for lunch yesterday. The staff could not have been more helpful and courteous to us , particularly my mother who is blind and has difficulty walking. Nothing seemed too much trouble for any of the staff.

Great food in a nice atmosphere also available during warm weather for outside email eating. Good beer and wine selection.

Staff were excellent and super polite and helpful my daughter managed too fall over in the park and the staff were so helpful towards me and my wife with helping her. Also ordered triple cooked chips which were lovely, cannot fault at all! Would reccomend and will be going back!

Three items on menu not available but not told until already ordered, staff said they had overbooked. Had booked table for 7.30 and didn’t eat til 9pm and Only one toilet operational Never again

Sunday lunch for 9 plus a 15 month old for a birthday. Lovely dining room after refurbishment, great food and fabulous, friendly staff. Great Badgers beers as well!

We have visited here quite a few times over the last few months and has been mostly ok but yesterday the service was awful, we had different waitresses and no one seemed to know what they were doing, the food was ok but not as good as usual, we didn’t get our gravy refill which we ordered. Then we ordered 5 desserts which came out all wrong, then was told we would have to wait 5 mins for a scoop of ice cream, they bought it when most of us had finished whilst some of us were sat waiting for the other half of our dessert. This was then charged wrong on the bill in addition, instead of taking money off for the ice dream deal, it was charged full price. Also, charging £2.25 for a scoop of ice cream alongside cake is quite excessive.
