I have been going to this pub for many years and have never got around to writing a review. The Sunday lunch here is without a doubt the BEST in Berkshire. We travel a lot and do not eat Sunday lunch anywhere else, as compared with the Perseverence everywhere is second rate. Perfect roast potatoes, home made Yorkshire pudding, 6 fresh veggies, yes 6 ! and portions to fill you to the brim. Excellent

With less than an hour’s notice, the staff at the Percy were able to give us a table for a midweek meal out. Although we’re only occasional visitors to the pub we were welcomed in like old friends and taken straight to our table. The owners and staff were brilliant as we’ve come to expect and the service we received was second to none. Despite being one of many tables receiving food, the ordering and service was fantastic with the bar staff popping into the kitchen a couple of times to check items on the menu. The food at the Percy was really well cooked and presented and a real credit to Nick. A fantastic ‘no rush’ evening in a friendly environment with owners who care about the whole experience.

We stayed in Wraysbury for 1 night on Good Friday and visited the Perse pub for dinner. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was delicious! They prefer you to book in advance but you can walk in and request if need be. The atmosphere was chilled with what seemed to be a nice local pub for the village. Will we defo visit again when we're in the area. One extra thing which we loved about this pub, is that there were quite a few quirky ornaments of snails 🐌 such a different character to see around a pub hehe

WORST experience I have ever had at a Pub/Restaurant in the UK. Arrived at 12.10, place was empty but I was told in no uncertain terms that they only wanted people with reservations but they would fit us in. Ordered and paid for food. Left in disgust at 1.05 having waited 50 minutes with no attention or explanation as to the delay. Place was still empty when we left and as far as I am concerned I will not be trying that again even though we are from the US and visit the Wraysbury area 2/3 times a year. Back to the other more professionally managed pub/restaurant in Wraysbury.

So grateful that they could fit us in.! I always pass ‘ the perseverance’ it looks ‘ quaint’ but I’ve never stopped! What a twit! We’ve missed out for years! Fantastic Sunday roast only £15! The staff were amazing! In fact I’d poach them! They’re so friendly, so professional and really care! If I had one complaint ( and not really a complaint) the live music didn’t last long enough ! I can’t understand why they’re not packed with customers! Get in there, in the summer they have an amazing garden, in winter the cosiness of a real fire! I think this’ll be my ‘ go too’ in future. ‘The Preverance staff, if you see this know you’re worth! You’re amazing!!

THANK YOU for making our visit to The Perseverance such an enjoyable evening. a big thumbs up for cooking my son a separate Gluten Free meal that wasn’t on the menu, he was ‘made up’ with this, such a kind offer to do. Thank you to the front of house staff, especially the lady who sorted us out with our food choices, drinks etc when we arrived, sorry I didn't get her name but she was fabulous and so welcoming, friendly & helpful. The food was delicious, and they had catered for our endless list of allergies! Our party really enjoyed the food, and the service was fab, thanks again.

We had planned to go the other larger, more modernised pub in the village for Saturday lunch, only because it had a spacious and flat layout for a family wheelchair user. However it was closed for some unknown reason, and luckily The Perseverance squeezed us in. Being an older more traditional pub, it was bit more of a struggle with the wheelchair, but managed in the end. Otherwise it had a nice atmosphere, big old fire, roof beams etc and friendly staff. Bit tatty around the edges but in a good sort of way, Good choice of beer, and the Otter Bitter was very well kept and tasted pleasant. Food menu was typical simple pub grub, with main course prices around £12/£14. More for steak, but cheaper sandwiches also available. They had run out of a couple of items. Food was served in about 20 minutes, which was fine. We all had something different and everybody enjoyed the meal. Made a nice change from the rash of gastro pubs / restaurants that call themselves pubs in the area. Also easier on the wallet so all good !

This Pub is quintessential in its ethos. It’s what is missing in so many villages & towns across England since Pubco’s became the modern cultural vandals of our day. I remember this as a tired old Whitbread managed house churning out flat twiggy beer and unloved frozen, basket type food. But the lovely couple that now run this now have clearly poured their hearts into it. Everything they do reaks of a high standard and attention to detail, that only perfectionists aspire to. I wish this place was closer to me, or that I could afford to live here, because a good pub would be my first influencer for choosing where to live, and this couple have clearly nailed it. People of Wraysbury, you are very very lucky

The Percy is a brilliant local village/country pub that is always warm, friendly and welcoming to anyone that steps through their door. Great food and the landlords have made sure the range of drinks is never boring (get in for their annual festivals). Top it all off with their live music, which continued remotely throughout lockdown; there’s never a dull moment. Well worth a visit whether you’re driving through, wandering across the fields for a pint or needing somewhere for a meal.

It's been a tough time for pubs lately - who knew at the beginning of the year we'd be entering the pandemic apocalypse? As bad as it's been for you and me, it's been far worse for our hard working publicans, but this particular publican has been hard at work - painting, gardening, tidying and generally improving an already excellent establishment (with a little help from his friends). This is a typical village pub in what is perhaps an atypical village. Within spitting distance of both Heathrow Airport and the M25, it is nevertheless a haven of bonhomie, character and, of course, good beer and fine grub. This isn't a gastropub. The food is, by and large, British pub classics livened up by regularly changing specials. I particularly recommend the prawn and chorizo starter, and their roasts (on a Sunday) are divine. The Percy has a large garden. It isn't fru-fru but rather a well kept, tidy yet usable space, with COVID spaced benches and unfussy yet pretty plantings. It is a superbly comfortable place in the summer to enjoy the sunshine along with your drink. In normal times (remember those?) there were four constantly varying real ales on offer; at the moment there are two. In addition, there are several lagers and a really quite excellent gin and wine list. Nick (mine host) has hosted, pre-COVID, some excellent festivals - gin, porter and pies (which he makes himself - the pies, that is), and, of course, real ale. Also in normal times, there is live music on a Sunday and various events during the week, all of which are temporarily (I hope) on hold. Even so, this is a most excellent place to meet friends (including those you've not met yet), have a bite to eat and a drink. COVID precautions have been taken seriously, with frequent cleaning, table service, social distancing and hand sanitiser. This is truly one of my favourite pubs in all of the UK and, happily, it is around the corner from where I live. Bliss.Recommended.

I love The Percy, it's got everything you want from a village pub: Great landlord and landlady, super-friendly staff, great food, a terrific selection of proper beers and wine, spotlessly clean, a wonderful atmosphere and a beautiful spacious garden. They've really pulled-out all the stops to make visiting here during times of Covid-19 a very comforting and reassuring experience, with all the guidelines followed meticulously. I did read one review from 'SurreyOlderPerson' that criticised the garden. This is complete madness and you have to question some people's motives? Perhaps 'SurreyOlderPerson' needs to take a drive to Barnard Castle for an eye test.

I'm inside, a pint and food ordered.... bonus. Good food, great beer. Shame I was driving. Then Google maps told me it was safe to leave, but I didn't want to!?!?!? Simple, I'll have to return. Find out for yourselves.

I can honestly say that this was the best cooked breakfast I’ve ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection, right down to the toast. Not the slightest hint of any “greasy-ness” that you sometimes get with a full English.

We popped in during our dog walk, the pub was warm and busy, half the pub were relaxing watching the rugby, while in the other half of the pub was a great band playing what I would describe as English country style music.

On my visit to The Perseverance it was a lovely sunny day, the first time we had visited and the beer garden was very busy but we luckily managed to get a table. There was a guy singing old classic songs live and there was a generally good atmosphere around. We felt welcome in the garden and we also had our dog who was also catered for with a bowl of water. Will definitely be back.

Visited this pub Tuesday 23rd Jan. We were staying at a guesthouse just down the road and looked online for something local. How pleased were we that we chose The Perserverance. Lovely pub and décor with lovely open fire. Food (rump steak for me and a burger for my husband) were outstanding in quality, price and cooked to perfection. Absolutely loved the experience at this pub x locals welcomed us with open arms and we had lovely conversations. Managed to save a little piece of my steak for Jem (the dog :D). Staff superb, efficient and very friendly. Keep up the good work and we hope very much to visit you again soon x Thank you all VERY much xxx

Stopped in for a quick business lunch. Friendly atmosphere, logs burning in the fireplace, great selection of cask ales. And the chorizo scotch eggs were amazing! The turkey Ines were also nice but the originals were simply perfect. Accompanied by a homemade chutney. And the mulled wine sorbet was brilliant. If you are in the neighbourhood you need to stop by!

Una gran familia con un jardín fantástico pub, perfecto para las tardes de domingo, con música en vivo, horno de pizza de leña y cervezas inglesas. Recientemente galardonado premio al mejor pub. No me puedo quejar!

First up, I really enjoy coming to the pub. Lovely vibe, brilliant food. It is what I consider traditional, with a modern feel. I love coming.Few areas to improve imo..A little too much focus on some 'regulars'Some bar staff need to make sure they are putting customers first... you are at work, not a social (the gentleman with the pony tail is exceptional at putting customers first)An example - if food is ordered, bring the cutlery before the food arrives..it gets cold waiting Some highlights - buskers night is always a hit, great food, great atmosphere.Great place.

Had an excellent meal for 10 of us here. Highly recommend the scotch egg, was wrapped in black pudding and was an amazing bite. Fish and chips for main, chips were the signature triple cooked - woof. Was drinking vodka lime, the vodka was Black Cow i think? Great flavour and the freshly squeezed lime juice was superb.

Visited the Windsor lad with my family the other day, and I was served by I think her name is Desha. She was polite and friendly and a great asset to the team.
